We had an amazing waitress. Very friendly and pleasant to talk to. We ordered the brats with noodles, cabbage and tomatoes we also had there homemade coleslaw that was soo good. We will be coming back for more good food.

This is one of those places you love and worry about everyone finding out how good it is, and then the wait is an hour to get in.Really the ribs are on point, chili is an experience and good jambalaya

I ordered some BBQ this past Sunday for pick upI bragged to my fiancée about their food which I havent had in quite awhile. I picked it up and brought it home and was really disappointed 😞..The Ribs were tough and dry and I asked for sauce and didnt get it. The alligator bites were darker a tough..I was embarrassed after boasting about them...what happened to my favorite BBQ?Bad day? Maybe👎

Yummy! Came by for dinner before going to a drive-in movie not too far away and glad we did. Had read reviews in advance and they were totally correct - we enjoyed our meal for sure! Atmosphere is just right for the type of place, service was good.

Picked up an order from 3 days prior. Pulled pork pan for a slow cooker meal on the 4th of July. They are all nice people to deal with.

Service was excellent. Food was very good and will definitely be back. We all were very pleased with our selections. The ribs did not disappoint.. good size ribs, meat practically fell off the bone. Caesar dressing was awesome as was the baked beans & cornbread. Also shared an order of onion rings and they were a big hit. No complaints from anyone at the table... were just sorry it took so long for us to finally try Grumpys BBQ Roadhouse. 😊👍👍

This used to be our go to place for great barbecue but weve just made our last trip. The wings were incinerated and dry, a few ribs in the full rack were ok but the rest resembled the wings. The baked beans were delicious and piping hot but the garlic mashed potatoes were cold. The roasted red pepper & shrimp bisque used to be so delicious but now tastes likes something out of a can. The portions are generous and the prices would be reasonable if the food was more skillfully prepared. Goodby, Grumpys!

Great food. Excellent service. Cool atmosphere. If I had to pick a place to enjoy a great meal and some cold beer, this would be the place. And definitely not Fossils Last Stand, which is down the road a bit and is a haven for fishbrained fascist bigots.

They were at my work with the food truck. I had a time slot for 11:45-12pm. I show up to the truck at 11:56 and they said they werent serving anymore and were going next door. A few of us went without.You lost my business personally.

The ribs are outstanding! Drinks are cold and quick to refill. Dine in take out all good food. Place is clean and the people are friendly. Live music on the weekends get a seat early.

Service was wonderful. Took a minute to warm up because she was busy, but once we had a second to chat it was great. Food was good.

First time here. Not only was there a great selection, but the food tasted great and the service was equally great. If I didnt live a hundred miles away Id probably eat here often.

The best Jambalaya, pork and ribs you can find in the Lehigh Valley! Not to be missed if you want a great meal and entertainment on Friday or Saturday night as well.

My company was on an outing and we stopped here for lunch! Let me tell you! The waitress Kristy( sorry if I misspelled itmade the dining experience even better. She made us feel right at home right away and was absolutely funny! If you have the humor ask for her! Trust me! You will not regret it! She had our whole table laughing out loud! Very attentive! Food was 10/10 waitress was 100/10! You guys are lucky to have her! Thanks Kristy!!!

Overall, an excellent experience. The ribs were delicious. The Brussels sprouts, which came highly recommended, lived up to their expectations: they were excellent, delicious. The cornbread seemed a little small, but as I pointed out, it was included with the meal.A few of us also had their gumbo, a chicken/andouille sausage concoction. This was expensive, but wonderful enough that it was worth it.

Been here a few times over the years and the food was always excellent!! Stopped by last night and had the burnt end sandwich with the Alabama sauce...amazing!! There was a Mardi Gras party going on so everyone and the waitstaff were all dressed up....really cool. Our waitress Heather was awesome. Banana pudding for desert was great!!

Freindly bar atmosphere that feels like home. My daughter asked several times "if people live here". The whole menu looked delicious so it took us a minute to decide. The waitress was very nice. I got a half a rack of ribs and 6 wings, my eyes were bigger then my stomach because I ate about half! It was all very good, I can understand how they got voted the best bar b que in the area! Definitely recommend to anyone who loves good bar b que!

The BBQ was excellent. Everything we ordered was excellent and well portioned. The staff were also very attentive and kind. Pricing was also awesome. It reminded me of one of the best BBQ places that I’ve ever been to which was in Atalanta, GA. It seemed as though they knew their regular customers by name. The small town vibes were a bonus.

Got take out and ordered extra cornbread with both of the meals and was charged for it but didn’t receive it.Ordered my daughters burger well but it came medium, and was definitely a frozen patty. Kind of disappointing because we have ordered before and it’s normally pretty good. But not ordering again. And you’d think for a bbq place they would have their own bbq sauce, but we got Heinz bbq sauce packets instead.

We when Saturday night, the place was packed, we sat down, and the waiter came and took our order. The food came pretty fast. The food was excellent. The got the chilly and onion rings. My husband got the 30 dollar meat special with mash potatoes and asparagus, and we had leftover. We were the only colored people there. It does have a restaurant atmosphere. the ribs were grilled. I like oven ribs.

Not really impressed. I ordered the ribs and quarter chicken meal. The ribs were overcooked, dry and in my opinion burnt. The chicken I took home and ate a portion the following day and was good. The server seemed overwhelmed. She brought my drink, no straw and when I asked her for one she asked me to wait until she distributed the rest of the drinks.. it was dark inside, either poor lighting or thats just how they like it..this is one of those places I wont be going back to.

A friend recommended grumpys Bar-B-Que and we are really happy that we went there! We ordered a combination BBQ platter (half rack of ribs with 6 wings). It was delicious, the meat was extremely soft, just perfect. The sides we chose, tomato and cucumber salad and sweet potato fries were very good too, as well as their sauces. It was more than enough for two! Our waitress was very observing and friendly! They were out of a few dishes, but it didnt matter as our waitress told us immediately when handing us the menu. We didnt have to wait long for our food to be served. We definitely will eat there soon again!Sorry the picture is not very good!

Its a bar with a small dining area. Pleasantly surprised. Food tasted great, and there was a lot of it. Our waitress was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. Well be going back!

I was shopping at the TJMaxx store in Whitehall Plaza and met an old friend who wanted to talk and catch up with life so we decided to go have a beer at the Grumpys down the road from Whitehall Diner.Just about 4 pm on this Saturday and the special was Prime Rib.I notice ever since Covid the restaurants are cutting out some sides and serving smaller portions! The mashed serving was the size of a fifty cent piece and my shredded Brussels sprouts filled a fork or two. The asparagus growing season must have been dry because thin was in!So, this place serves a nice portion of main entree but skimps on the sides.Next time, I’ll just order an appetizer and forget the sides.See photos for reference.But the beers were cold, the coffee fresh and CRUZ didn’t bother with our table after a $20 tip on a $68 tab! Not nice.

My family and I went there for dinner this evening. Fridays and Saturdays after 4 PM they serve a rosemary encrusted smoked prime rib that is out of this world. It is a 16 ounce cut a prime rib at a reasonable price. It comes with your choice of two sides.The beef was tender and had a great smoky flavor. The exterior rub gave great flavor without overpowering the beef. We had beer battered onion rings as an appetizer they are great. We will definitely return to Grumpys because the food is awesome. Don’t let the exterior appearance turn you off. Our server Christine wasn’t fast and very friendly. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked on our drinks frequently. We will definitely go back and try some of their other BBQ.

Meat portions are VERY generous and the quality is top notch. Went there unsure of the amount of food wed receive due to pictures but were glad we took the chance. The sides could be bigger but the meat makes up for it. Our waitress Katielee was personable and attentive to our table and the atmosphere made us comfortable the moment we stepped in.No live music when we went, most likely due to COVID but they had some soft rock playing in the dining/bar area (and some good hip hop/R&B coming from the kitchen). Ribs are nice and large (pork ribs), the chicken was flavorful, the wings were juicy, gator bites were crunchy and the drinks were very well made.Only critique is the corn bread. Im a big man and I need more than what theyre serving.My go to BBQ place is Smokin Als in Massapequa, NY but Grumpys will be my PA BBQ go to. You Guys are great!

The pulled pork is very disappointing.. and the fries tasted old and squishy. Pork didnt have flavor and the bun was soaked. Would not recommend.

Good BBQ joint. Fresh smoked meats. Staff were friendly and attentive. Hearty portions. Family friendly. Bar area inside as well. Plenty of free parking. Clean bathrooms. They carry their own brand of BBQ sauce.

Wow! This could be my new favorite local BBQ joint. Friendly staff, food comes out quick - only a slight wait to be seated because it is deservedly popular. We shared a shrimp and red pepper bisque, smokey bbq wings, and perfectly fried pickles (with a great dill saucefor appetizers. AMAZING! Then big, meaty, fall off the bone ribs with coleslaw, sweet potato fries and corn bread. The corn bread was sweet and cake-like, my favorite. The coleslaw was cold and crunchy - maybe a tad bland but still good! Highly recommended.

We tried this place out today for the first time. We had the burnt end brisket platter and it was very good. We also had the grilled shaved brussel sprouts which were very tasty. The baked beans had a unique taste and were also very good. We had the place to ourselves for lunch today. Lorraine was our waitress and was very attentive. The Gumbo and Jambalaya starters were tasty, but more in the Creole style than Cajun and not what we expected. We still plan to visit again in the future to try the other BBQ offerings.

Very nice atmosphere and very nice staff.This is one of the few places in PA where I have found that they serve burnt ends. The do it as a platter and as a sandwich. I opted for the platter with fried Okra and Collard Greens as my sides.The greens were done well, but very bland. I had to ask for hot sauce. They do have 2 "house made" hot sauces. The one is very mild and tastes like it is based on Tabasco. The other, which the server said was "face melting hot", was ok. On my scale (10 being "Face melting hot"), this was closer to a six.The fried okra were still tender and the burnt ends were amazing. The only thing that keeps this from a five start review is the price. For an out of the way place in a rural part of the Lehigh Valley, this food was priced higher than what I was expecting. Was it worth it? Im still deciding.Would I eat here again? Absolutely. now that I know the prices they are asking, it wont be as much of a shock.

Gr8 food , drinks , service & atmosphere. We had a good time. When you go ask for the awesome waitress Lizzy or any of the fabulous wait staff .

If you order the full rack of ribs for yourself, get ready for a laugh. So far all the sides are amazing also.

We had high expectations going in, many factors made it an "eh" experience. Silverware wrapper was in my beer, "I must have missed it." Baked beans are either canned or theyve got the Campbells recipe on lock. Ribs were good, but my wings were not anything spectacular and at least two of them had feathers on them. Like, a lot of feathers. Im of two minds: either they missed it, so what else did they miss; or they saw it and didnt care. Either way the meal left a bad taste in my mouth. Service recovery was excellent, but I dont think well be returning.
