Grounded Patio Cafe in La Crosse

The menu is small and uncomplicated, so it is frustrating to see 3-4 employees making food slowly. This combined with only 1 register employee and a single barista. This roster leads to lines that fill the tiny lobby.So in all, you may way 15 mins for your drink...that might not be the same as last time you ordered it.My coworkers and I have discussed it isnt fast enough. And the food and drink isnt keeping us either.

Charges a dollar for honey, doesn’t mix it in. Charges an extra dollar for coconut milk added less than a capful. Very poor technique and service.

One of their patrons threw my backpack in the trash and openly admitted to doing so. They still allow him on the property after he stole and disposed of my person property.

Grounded Patio has friendly staff and great breakfast sandwiches. Outdoor seating is a plus!

We had a quick dinner here the night before RAW. The sandwich and wrap were excellent and the outdoor patio was very comfortable

They serve Stone Creek Coffee. Great coffee!! Very nice and large patio area to sit outside, in the heart of downtown LaCrosse.

I work right across the street from Grounded and it’s always great. The baristas are always nice even though they’re usually slammed. The prices are good (especially for a smaller businessand the drinks are always well made!

Hailey did a fabulous job recommending a lavender lemonade! It’s the perfect summer drink to end a hot day. All of the staff was friendly, and there was an overall great atmosphere. Delicious baked goods also!

We stopped at this coffee shop on a road trip this morning. It’s a beautiful space with great coffee. We also really appreciated the breakfast sandwiches which taste great. Everything was fairly priced and the staff was very friendly. I’d definitely come again. Thanks!

Delicious food and coffee! I ordered a blended drink and two gluten free wraps on my way through town- I was impressed with all of them! Great taste and well made. They also had a friendly vibe and the woman who got my food was talkative!

Great coffee, sandwiches, tea and pastries. In the winter they even have blankets you can use if youre chilly! I enjoy the neighborhood feel of this place.

I went there for the first time a few days ago to meet a few friends. The coffee and service were both great. I will be returning.6/2/22 - It was busy and understaffed, the gal working was very kind, but my dad got frosting instead of cream cheese with his bagel, and both my and my fiancée coffees didnt taste right. Hers tasted like it had been made with bad milk, or it had been burn or something (she got a latte, I got a mocha). Usually we dont have a problem here, but it wasnt a good experience this morning

Almost the best! One item I tried was soooo yumz!I am a 1st timer..Great food and coffee selections, seating is proper, and theres nothing like free fast wifi. The ambience is nice.Coffee: Tasty, but not out of the park. The difference between handmade syrups and ready made syrups would make this 5 stars.Smoothie: chocolate peanut butter banana, not bad, I would add protein powder to my next one.Seating: perfect, the bad... Outside seating has one big drawback, the huge semi trucks that go by frequently also provide that icky exhaust smell. Sit inside if its busy outside.The Highlight!The Tuscan Sunnyside Breakfast Sandwich was bomb! Fantastic pesto.I did try the croissant sandwich with bacon, but it was too much bread.

I’m not a coffee lover so I usually get smoothies and they are always so good! The food is so tasty and the staff is so nice! You also don’t have to wait long!

I ordered my favorite sandwich the loaded blt, it is always amazing and tastes fresh. I love trying new things there so I appreciate the range of flavors and types of drinks I can choose from.

A perfect little spot for coffee.The breakfast sandwiches were delicious but the coffee was a little weak. They could work on the coffee since it is there speciality, increasing flavour. To be fair this place rocks and is currently our place to go when stopping in the city.

What a pleasant surprise. We stopped during a road trip and loved the breakfast sandwiches so much that we ordered lunch to go. It’s now a permanent road trip stop. The food service can be slow so we always order ahead and it works out perfectly. Great coffee too!

Great Strong Coffee to start the morning. Delicious French roast mixed with a nice sturdy decaf. Welcoming patio and helpful staff. Beautiful photos on the walls and a great patio with a fireplace and outdoor seating at night when it turns into a wine bar. This is the place to go for quality coffee in La Crosse.

Stop here regularly and the coffee is pretty decent. The service is good and I like that they always have decaf brewed.Today for a change I ordered a lemonade with light ice. They only filled the cup about 2/3 full. That did not impress me.

I just got a B-Day gift certificate for my son which Is a “ totally grounded groupie“ , it was fun for me too..the lady who helped me was very nice. I know it was welcomed by him as it it his favorite place for coffee.

A nice e place with outdoor seating. Good food and customer service. They do live music some nights and a good alternative If you are tired of Starbucks corporate atmosphere and upselling. Worth a stop anytime.

Do not accept Door Dashes through this place! There is never parking and then you have to wait behind 10 people just for them to start your order. You will lose money on these!

I ordered an English muffin with jam and cream cheese for a quick breakfast and chose a house salad for later in the day. I am SO impressed. You may think... heck its just a salad... BUT the quality of the ingredients really surprised me. Ill be back!

We live out of town and we saw the huge line in front of this place two days in a row, so we had to try it. WORTH IT! We went back for coffee and food, and it didnt disappoint. For the price and quality, highly recommend.

The food was really really good, and wasnt what I expected! I got the Dilled Turkey sandwich, and the Dill Cream Cheese goes SO well with the everything bagel. Also had the Raspberry Mochatini, which was a fruit tasting hot mixed drink. Kinda heavy for my taste and filled me up, but good nontheless!As for the staff and atmosphere, well done! I really enjoy the "Industrial Cabin" aesthetic with the dark burnished metal, wood, and incandescent bulb lighting. The staff was quick, efficient, and friendly. The patio seating we didnt get to use since it was rainy that day, but I bet it works really well on sunny cool days. All in all I really wanna come back my next time in the area!

The coffee is AMAZING. The food was even better. Great place to get caffeine and a bite to eat. The staff is very helpful. I wasnt sure what to get.... described what flavor I like and the barista made an excellent suggestion. I tried something new and fell in love with it!

My personal favorite coffee shop in La Crosse. Great atmosphere and coffee. Staff is friendly. Always has local art up on the walls, often for sale. During covid times here they have outdoor seating and delivery.

I thought the service was okay....the Caramel Frappe I ordered was delicious. That wasnt the problem. I went up to ask for ice water. She gave me empty cup pointed at where the faucet was. It was warm water. I asked for ice but, was ignored. I will find a different coffee shop next time. Very rude service!!

Grounded Cafe has quickly become a must stop for us when in La Crosse. With non-dairy mil alternatives, filling breakfast sandwiches, great patio location and helpful staff your sure to have your java needs met.Breakfast sandwiches are good but the few I have had all serve sliced hard boiled eggs in place of other methods like over hard. While its not a deal breaker it was something new that I have never encountered before.

We stopped by Grounded Cafe for the first time this past weekend and it was so good we went back again the next day! The blueberry white mocha was very good as were the 608 egg sandwich, the hummus one and the breakfast burrito. The only disappointing thing about our visit was that we hadnt stopped in before!

My new favorite coffee shop! My drink is made just the way I like it. Great location, very nice atmosphere, and owner is very nice. Im very excited about the outdoor patio area. It will be a nice spot to have a cup of coffee with the girls.
