Grounded - Coffee shop in Isleworth, United Kingdom
Tasty food and great service. Loads of tasty veggie food to choose from.
The best local cafe! Delicious coffee and amazing cakes, would highly recommend!
Best coffee in St Margaret’s! Over the moon to see that place with Bujar and Jo managing this place again, instead of that loud mouth that used to be in your face at 7am.You actually get a coffee and smile these days! Caramel Latte and Rocky Road is my go too.Everything is always good vibes nowadays and happy I can come back again and again and always enjoy it.Thanks guys, Amanda Wylie you rock with fab coffee and amazing service these past 11yrs!
Lovely local cafe, the best in West London. Great staff team and delicious sandwiches and cakes. Highly recommend!
Best coffee and cinnamon buns in st Margaret’s
Very nice staff and great coffee, good carrot cake as well.
This is actually the best Ive ever experienced Monmouth coffee taste and Ive had a lot before! The service was also very friendly and welcoming from the female staff. Recommended.
Easily the best coffee in St Margaret’s. Had a couple of the food bits too over the years which were also nice
Good coffee and lovely made to order filled baguettes and flatbreads but really unfriendly staff especially the bloke.
Quite busy for a week day breakfast. Food was pleasant.
Lovely place, nice staff and good food.
Coffee is tasty, but the male barista is so grumpy. There is a very high volume of radio sound so you can’t hear your talking. I won’t prefer going there again.
Really like the cakes here, decent coffee too.
Great coffee abd baguettes. Lovely friendly place.
Lovely coffee, tea and food. Unfortunately Coffee machine/grinder running nearly all the time and knocking of coffee filter makes impossible to hear or speak above noise.
Bought a Latte today. The taste was so horrible I had to throw it out. Barely any coffee or milk, tasted like dirty water. Quite Disappointing.
Lovely cafe and ambience. Delicious Ham and Cheese toastie, flat white perfect with granola slice. Thank you.
When you pay £2.90 for a cappuccino then take the lid off when you reach your destination to drink it and discover half a cup of lukewarm very strong coffee ...with no froth! And after taking a photo to take back and show the bearded man who made it for me less than two hours previously /owner? he acts very indignant and arrogant and you have to actually ask for your money back and then get a reluctant ‘sorry’...really not on , won’t be going there again and definitely don’t recommend. Oh and don’t bother asking for food to be heated up to take away as they don’t have the right containers. Another disappointment despite offering a take away service during COVID restrictions
I am a regular customer at grounded and love going everyday for my coffee. I am served by a girl i believe named Lauren who is always so welcoming and well manored. She always gives great service and loves having conversation. Always pleased to see her.
Excellent service and excellent drinks/food. Most of the staff are really friendly and one of them is pretty cute. Would recommend this Cafe.
Good coffee, they sell nice fresh bread. For takeaway coffee, the staff are quick & efficient. I have been about 4 times over the past couple of months, and served by different team members, each time I hope it was just an ‘off day’ and next time they will be friendly and/or flash a smile, but none of them ever have. Such a shame.
Superb coffee and first class baguette. The guy serving behind the till though was unfriendly, unsmiling, and showed no customer interest. Surprising as weve only just come out of lockdown.
Good coffee, friendly service...currently open with a one in one out system to reflect required social distancing (check date of post), but the wait is never too long...they also sell delicious cakes, lunchtime snacks, and bread too...
A lovely place for excellent coffee, hot chocolate and Tea Pigs with a big range of tasty snacks, breakfasts and lunches. Lovely staff too.
Really good sandwiches. Nice variety every day they change the specials. Quick friendly service. Unfortunately I really dont like their Americano. Excellent for food and think their coffee must be an acquired taste
Lovely, friendly local coffee shop. Have Monmouth coffee which you can also buy to take away, which I always do!
lovely atmosphere and great coffee, but one of the waitresses (lucildarefused to provide a wifi password. 4 stars.
The best coffee in the area thanks to Monmouth beans, talented and friendly baristas and the simple, bright and airy interior.
My favourite weekend coffee shop. Friendly local atmosphere, very good coffee and I rely on the freshly baked bread and pastries for my weekend delight.
Lovely friendly staff serving great coffee. Best flat white in St Margarets.
Best coffee in the neighbourhood. They use monmouth beans and they make an awesome cup of coffee. Lovely staff as well. Friendly and with a smile.
They had all the ingredients of an English breakfast on the menu but they dont specifically list it. So we asked for sausage bacon, tomato and poached eggs on toast and a cup of tea times two - for this we were charged £33! If my sister hadnt needed to catch a train wed have walked out. We were told we would get 2 sausages though only one arrived with a paltry amount of bacon. Another sausage and an additional small amount of bacon was forthcoming later. The sausage and bacon were not very good quality - i.e. almost certainly supermarket and not from a butcher. Plus the server knocked a lot of milk all over the table and didnt even notice! Dreadful and overpriced breakfast experience!
Just had the most delicious coronation chicken sandwich on flat bread and a wonderful cortado coffee. Love this placeee
The best coffee in St. Margarets! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the coffee (Monmouthis delicious. I had to exchange a bag of coffee grounds for beans yesterday and they were very happy to help. The place itself is nice and great to get some work done. Highly recommended!
Lovely atmosphere and vibe. Very relaxed, which is what you want in a coffee shop.Superb staff - Alex I believe served me, had a great chat and felt very welcomedWill be returning soon!
I love this small coffee shop and its atmosphere is lovely!! I know one of the people who work there personally and anyone who has been (that I knowhad said it was an amazing coffee!
I am a regular at Grounded and would recommend it to others. The Monmouth coffee is good and there is a range of sweet or savoury snacks. The cheese straws are particularly delicious. It gets busy during term time, but a lot of customers order take-aways. Staff are friendly and pleasant to chat to. The cafe has wi-fi and is dog friendly - what more could you ask for!
Its nice and simple down to earth place.I had coffee and cake with my dog and it was a very present experience 😊The only problem I have with the Grounded is that their cakes and muffins are made outside in a big factory who supplies it to every run of the mill coffee shop 😔😞 so there is no incentive to go back.Ive done a lot of research and their pastries are not organic !! So lots of E numbers and hydrogenated vegetable oils to extend their shelf life😞Please make it in house with healthy fresh ingredients. Its better for us and the environment. In St Margrets the are around 10 coffee shops. Why not try to be different. If your food was exceptional and good there would be no need of other coffeeshops to open and be busy !
Nice local business. Nice atmosphere. Pleasant staff. Coffee is great - real smooth and strong. Havent tried the food yet but looking forward to it.
One sticky out very weird review on this list! The coffee is always delicious, the best place in St. Margarets by far. Friendly and accommodating. I often stay working for hours!
I have just used this coffee shop for the odd takeaway cup but coffee is quite good. Welcoming minimalist interior. Clean. Freshly baked croissants etc. available. It seems to be VERY popular during morning rush to work. Friendly staff. They have a range of travel mugs and other branded goods.
Good coffee for St Margarets, local and a little different to the other cafes. More modern, spacious with good light. Still conservative but you cant hide what the locals want. Nice staff.
Visited a while back and have been meaning to review. I have been trying cafes in the area. Just popped in for a coffee. Cant fault the coffee or the service. My latte was delicious, one of the nicest Ive had in St Margarets!
I love, love, love this independent coffee shop and am here for my flat white with regularity! The coffee is delicious and the staff are great. In my opinion its the only place to get coffee in St Margarets. They also do delicious pain au chocolate which I recently discovered are straight out of France, literally. Ive also had other delicious breakfasts here including the granola with yogurt, and yummy bacon sandwiches. Highly recommended!
One of the best cafe in St Margaret. Wonderful staff, super attentive, lovely atmosphere, great cakes and coffee, great for brekkie too. I will have no hesitation in recommending Grounded.
A small cafe, quite good coffee, light airy atmosphere. Coffee is not bitter or milky, dont expect large cups of the stuff. Beans appear to be sourced from the Monmouth coffee company. Food selection is OK, mainly sandwichhes/cakes.
Best coffee in St Margarets by a long way, and lovely cakes (especially recommend the lemon polenta cake). Friendly staff too - what is not to like?
Just really, really good coffee. At other places I normally have something fancy with forth and syrups. Here, I just have a latte, as the coffee is so good on its own it doesnt need anything else. Worth a detour if you are anywhere near!
One of the best bets for coffee and pastries in the area, plus the decor is light and fresh. Espresso is better than the milk-based drinks - cappuccino is a bit old-school with too much milk and a head of foam. Best of all are the baked goods, croissants in particular are good, and affordable.
Theres no shortage of places to drink coffee on the Crown Road, but Grounded is the only place which is really a coffee shop first. Yes, you can get freshly baked bread here, along with breakfast, cakes and pastries, but at its heart is the Monmouth roasted coffee, ground by Mazzer and pulled on a La Marzocco espresso machine. This family run establishment is light, welcoming, and serves good coffee - although theyre not the fastest at making a queue worth of drinks, and this isnt the most spacious of places - so you might struggle with a buggy.
