Groucho's Deli in Orangeburg

Pretty underwhelming, very DRY atmosphere. Maybe some music or something. Sandwich was ok " Pastrami " .I knew about there no onion thing before I went ..wtfe. Definitely pleased 90 percent of the workers still wear mask. Thats a plus.. But wild hair was everywhere and no hair nets... I just think hair nets should always be worn in food service. Especially the long weaves and dreadlocks...Ill try them again the do have a vast menu with some interesting items...

I ordered a chicken power pita. There was not very much power mix in it and no Italian dressing. The wait time for my order to be fixed was long.

Love to get food from here its one of our families and my work families favorite lunch spot

Went to pick up an order for a friend. Went inside picked up the order. Realized no condiments came with the order. Went inside waited in line which was fine because I had to walk back in. Walked into the establishment the young lady looked at me with a nasty attitude saying “didn’t give you the order”. I stated to her I was just coming in to get condiments and asked why did she have an attitude.I was not nasty or rude at all. Young lady was Caucasian and had on glasses. Won’t be coming to this establishment for myself. She was very rude and I just walked back for condiments.

Microwaved the bun, $3 for a cup of ice with hardly any drink. When I asked for a refill the waitress acted like I was bothering her. Then at the checkout the cashier ask if we where sure we didnt want to leave a tip.

Loved it! Our go to place for lunch now!

The salad was good and big enough for to. Days .

I only ate here twice but was disappointed both times. They need to watch the younger crew that work at night. They dont do.their jobs right. The food dont come out correctly I may try it out again

I had the my wife salad bowl. It was delicious the vegetables were fresh. It is well worth the money. I was able to eat off of one salad twice. I will be going there again.

Groucho’s is by far one of my favorite places to order a salad. I have visited many locations around the state. I happen to be coming through this city on yesterday and decided to stop. This one was by far the worst of them all when it comes to customer service. I walked through the door there was no greeting. Went to the register still no greeting the young lady just looked at me like any day now. No how may I help you or anything just a blank stare. I placed my order no receipt was given nor a thank you. It’s safe to say I wouldn’t be visiting this location ever again. Only reason why I’m given 2 stars is because the salad was amazing as usual.

Always a good experience. They forgot my extra sauce. I will check next time before leaving the restaurant.

Really good heros. The pastrami with melted swiss on rye is DE LISIOUS. You can eat in take out or drive through. If youre traveling past Orangeburg and want a good lunch. Stop there. Same price as fast food. But better. Fresh food. Comes with pickle 🥒 and chips

I enjoyed my food from here!I got the my wife salad with their version of thousand island (the dressing is sooooo goodand a corn beef Reuben sandwich, another great choice!The cashier was very pleasant and answered my questions ( thats rare today when some people act like they dont want to be bothered).I also like that it was spacious and wasnt crowded during this time.If youre in the Orangeburg area, you should check them out!

The ( My Wife Salad is OFF-THE-CHAIN. Will probably have one today. OK now it is later and the My Wife Salad was the slamming.

Eaten there several times but today we were unimpressed. We had take out, we had several items missing from our order and our cookies were all melted together.

I had the Your Wifes Salad. It was sooo good and fresh. Big enjoy for 2 people.

I love the food but my visit from 2/2/21 was awful. I ordered the tuna melt and expecting to get a delicious sandwich as usual, I got something that was dry, tasteless and almost inedible. Disappointed. Its the next morning and I still have a bad taste in my mouth. The brownie was delicious though.

Food is good but be prepared to wait, even for call ahead or online orders with a designated pick up time.

We stopped off for lunch at Grouchos today! Service was great! I had the STP Dipper! Great sandwich for a good price! We will be back!

They ran out of rye bread by 12:30. I was disappointed, but my husbands sandwich was very good.

Called in my order at 1145 for 12 pickup took payment fast got my food at 1225 sandwich was big enough for a two year old will not go back

OMG! You have to stop here for their Subs whenever youre here visiting. Subs are made fresh..and the staff is super friendly. Dont forget the Grouchos sauce for sub dipping

I made an online order at Orangeburg Grouchos before 4:00 to be picked up at 4:15 curbside. I arrived little before 4:15 and waited until 4:25 before going in to acknowledge that I was there to pick up my order. Its now 4:45 and I have yet to see my order, I have to be at work in Columbia at 5:00 therefore I will be late. If it wasnt for the fact that I paid already I wouldve walked out and never look back. Order today and expect pick tomorrow!

This is the 2nd time Ive ordered for curbside and had to get out and go in. On top of that I still had to wait 20 minutes more. While waiting, saw roach crawl across the counter.

I tried this place for the first time. The sauce for the sandwiches is sweet I wasnt expecting it to be sweet. The potato salad was sweet. Next time, Ill get chips or cookies. But the sandwich was fresh and the deli meats was good quality. Two can eat for under $23.00.But lemme say this they are very accommodating and spoke slowly for me to understand since I read lips. They explained everything to me. Customer service was five stars. Ill return and find a fave sandwich soon!

I love coming here. The food is excellent and the staff is friendly. I usually get to chat with the manager when I come in. I also appreciate that they let businesses from the community set up business cards on their counter.

I came for my lunch break with 2 friends. We was greeted by our waitress as soon as we arrived, placed our order, and got our food in a timely fashion. The waitress came back and forth checking to see if things were ok. The food was great.

I would recommend Groucho’s for take out only. They have good food, however the service is terrible. They have a lot of young people working there who are interested in everything but serving the public. The waitresses were texting on their phones and flirting with the staff in the back. I had to get up multiple times to get a refill on our drinks and never received a receipt. I will go back there for the food but definitely won’t be eating in.

So disappointed, we waited over an hour, with only one other couple in there. When we asked how much longer the wait would be the staff blatantly ignored us. We received no refills, one of our kids started eating his cup....We finally left, hungry, after being ignored again when I asked if they had any idea when our sandwiches would be ready. So disappointed!

Food was great. I had the roast beef marinade sandwich and it was great. I highly recommend that sandwich. The ice is nice too. They have mostly pepsi products im pretty sure. I will recomend this deli to anyone

The sandwiches are always great but service is terrible. Ate there again today, was not busy and they were more worried about clearing tables than waiting on new customers even when they had plenty of empty tables available. The entire time we were there, we were not checked on, out of drinks, etc.; and my child was sitting, eating in the high chair and the high chair all of a sudden completely broke and he fell. Not once were we asked if he was okay either. Much desired in the services. Only giving one star because it will not allow me to post unless I have one selected.

I have had 2 call in orders. Each time the food was ready when I arrived. The inside is very clean. The team is very fast and friendly. They all seemed happy to be there. Each container was labeled so we didnt have to guess what was inside and the food was delicious.

I never had a problem when I eat from this place. Great service and fast service. Some of these people probably had a bad day and decided to get even. They suck and Grouchos, you Rock!

The service at this place is absolutely awful! We sat there and waited for our food for almost 2 hours. With only one other table in the restaurant you would think we would have gotten it sooner. I understand that things go wrong in the kitchen, as I have worked in the food industry. However, our waiter didn’t even refill our drinks until an hour had passed and we asked him to. When my mother finally asked when our food would be done after we had waited 2 hours, the staff ignored her. So we left without receiving our food and we’ll never go back.

Food was amazing service was even better. Was hosted by a young girl name Hailee. She was very sweet and was on point with everything. Our order was taken as soon as I was seated and everything was as we ordered. Family of 4 so had her running around like a chicken with its head cut off but she did great! Food was amazing and came out fast. Overall very satisfied

Service was excellent and fast as always. Server was helpful and quick with refills, she offered a high chair to sit my daughters car seat before I could even think to ask, but I was disappointed that there wasnt a diaper changing table in the restroom. Otherwise, I would have given five stars.

I cane there once to pick up in order that I called in. When i got inside the line was all the way to the past the door and the girl at the register was taking so long. I’ve seen this girl before so I know she’s not new, either she had a brain fart or the system was slow. But either way she was so slow she acted like she couldn’t count the change, and there were people starting 2 lines instead of 1 because a coworker offered to help with a second line and then she just abandoned her post and went back to waitressing... So I waited in line for at least 10-15 minutes and when I paid and waited another 15 minutes and when I finally got my food I checked ti make sure everything was the way it was supposed to be but I didn’t have my extra 45 sauce so I tried to get back in line but the girl was working on the same person for the last 15 minutes! So i caught the waitress and asked if she could get me some extra sauce and she said yes. She then placed down the food to a customer and went back to the kitchen and picked up some napkins and stuff and the totally walked pass me without my sauce. So after another 10 minutes I’m able to catch her again and ask she told me that she totally forgot... How do you forget in literally 30 seconds??

Inexperienced waitresses. Big dipper was tasty even though i orded the All Roast Beef one and got the standard mixed one. I am also not a fan of there take of a potato salad.
