Grottino 1313 in Luzern
Description
Privilege
The experience has been fantastic. The environment is very welcome, relaxed, home-like, even romantic. Attention to detail, fantastic food, great customer service. Such a great discovery.
MoreLovely spritz action. Both the Limone and the traditional (Aperolwere on point. Very cute patio outside and service was perfect. Food was excellent as well.
MoreAmazing food!
Beautiful atmosphere, great food and very friendly staff make you feel like you took a mini holiday to Italy.
MoreAmazing experience from the beginning to the end. Great food and even better service.
MoreIf you are looking for un-usual experience, this is the place to go. They serve set menu every day. Portions are apropriate and they ask if you want more. Atmosphare is quiet and romantic. Food was super delicious. To be aware: you probably need to count at least 2h for a dinner since food is brought one by one. It is not quick meal, but excellent experience.
MoreLovely environment and really good food. Staff is kind and thoughtful. Im definitely coming back.
MoreThis restaurant is definitely a hidden gem. The location seemed pretty random but the minute we walked in, we were met with a cosy vibe and amazing smell. We loved the “surprise” menu which was simply described as soup and salad, pasta, main, cheese and dessert. Every course was delicious (especially the homemade pastaand the service was charming and well paced. The one downside was the price of the water - we paid CHF 19 for 2 litres of water (CHF 9.50 a carafewith a few pieces of fruit in it. A small blemish on an otherwise wonderful evening!
MoreWe enjoyed an awesome dinner in a really great ambiance with very friendly staff. Allowing Grottino 1313 to select the menu for you requires a leap of faith, but we were more than rewarded with every one of the 5 courses they served.
MoreAll I can say is that we left with a new restaurant to add to the favourites-list. Cozy ambience, nice staff, and amazing food. Highly recommend, especially for foodies who love the concept of a set menu every day, and with that eating a menu made with care by people who clearly love what they do.
MoreSimple and good food a bit overpriced. The ambiance is really nice and romantic insideThe tap water was charged 6CHF for 1L which is quite abusive and way overpriced.Food is pretty basic but good (though every meal is a bit too salty as we can read in many comments).Staff is really nice and friendly.
MoreThe salad was already dressed with vinegar, which I hate. The pasta was supposed to be cooked with "fresh salmon", but the salmon was smoked and very salty. The pasta was full of cream!!! No really Italian food, or at least Italian Swiss style. Overpriced. overcharged with cream, butter, vinegar....too much for my stomach.
MoreGreat mood, lovely service crew and absolutely delicious food served on your prefered pace.
MoreA hidden gem! Quirky, Italian restaurant with a daily changing menu and an extensive wine list. All our dishes were delicious. Very friendly and fast service. For big groups, you can reserve the cozy wine cellar.
MoreJust an average food , super overpriced, 100 CHF per person per meal , including a glass of wine. Just an average dish based on potatoes and pasta , rip off
MoreAmazing ambiance, food, and service. One of the most intimate restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. I love that the menu changes daily and is coursed our. Excellent for a meal for 2 or for a group.
MoreWow! What a great meal! 5 set courses and a great wine list. Super friendly and helpful service found us a table with no reservation. Loved every single course. So much food, we skipped the cheese course. So sad!Only improvement could have been the speed of service, as we were all jetlagged and looking for a slightly more efficient dining experience. :)Well worth the short walk outside the main tourist area for an incredible meal in Lucerne!
MoreCozy, friendly and delicious!
Great concept! Food was delicious, service was amazing, and the ambiance is lovely! 10/10
MoreQuite an experience. Both upscale and approachable. Brilliant tasting dishes and polite staff
MoreHad a wonderful lunch today. Everything was great; the food, service, the wine not to mention the inside of the restaurant. Like a little trip to Italy. Easily reached via public transportation. The menu of the day was salad, choice of entree (pasta or meatand a dessert. Wine was also chosen. Very easy and tasty. The food came fast. Great time! Get reservations. For dinner book way in advance.
MoreThe food was absolutely fantastic, it is a proper full on 4 course meal and will take a good 3 hours to get through. It is on the expensive side if you factor in a bottle of wine ... Roughly 110 CHF per head. But its worth every penny. I would go back in a heart beat and it was the best food my girlfriend and I have had in Switzerland! We have travelled all over Italy and this is definitely genuine quality Italian food! Highly recommended!
MoreExcellent food and the price is reasonable (although the wine is a bit overpriced). Im a fan of "chefs choice" restaurants, so this place was right up my alley. I suggest going here for a night out with friends. Highly recommended.
MoreThis was an absolute gem in Lucerne. Off the beaten tourist path they have an awesome pre set menu, different every night, and the food and service was the best we’ve had in Switzerland. The chef even came out twice to bring us our cheese plate and explain what we were eating as well as share an after dinner drink.I will come here for sure any time I am back in Lucerne!
MoreAmazing food. Every dish a surprise! 13 out of 13!
Fantastic food, some of the best ever! Great atmosphere. Not the place to come if youre not ravenous because they dont offer single dishes, its all or nothing!
MoreGorgeous location, delicious food and wonderful staff. Hands down, one of the best places in Lucerne.
MoreIs a Good Place i Have to say, but expensive and for familys or groups they have this cool menu Familys size that is not so much by the way .The price dont have to be lowered but the food could be more .
Moreno words needed!!! amazing little place! friendly and with a great concept!! need an advise? go and let you surprise!!!
MoreSuper delicious brunch. Well worth Fr. 49.- Everything is really fresh and heart warming. Service is flawless!
MoreAmazing food! The best restaurant Ive been to in my three years of Europe living. The waiter was supremely kind and gave quick service. Great place for a special occasion. (Be forewarned tho, the price matches the quality.)
MoreGreat food, good service and cozy atmosphere. In case youre more of a picky eater, note that they always have one set menu.
MoreSo expensive and overpriced comparing to the food. Menu not clear and tricky.Cant drink the soup. Salad sauce was too much. Veal without taste
MoreReally enjoyed a special dinner here with my family visiting from overseas. One menu, all dishes served family style. Lots of delicious food. Dont let the semi-industrial location scare you away!
MoreVery overpriced and over hyped. Soup is too salty.tomato sauce of pasta is made from can, very saur. the main dish is also too salty with two tiny piece thin beef (2mm, half palm size). The pear in the desert was not picked correctly with stone left in. The water is 10Fr per litre, which is more expensive than any five star hotel restaurant in Luzern (so of cos the too salty dishes!). Its a total scam and hunger marketing. Dont go, its a rip off.The Service is also very slow. I basically waited for three hours to finish the meal that I can cook myself better at home.
MoreFrom the entrance through the courtyard to the greeting at the door, the warmth and glow of the inside, the amazing, fresh food courses and onto the wonderful service from pleasant and engaging staff, this was a fantastic experience we will not forget. Well done Grottino 1313. We will most definitely be back on our next trip to Luzern.
MoreWe were lucky enough to get a table without booking and thoroughly enjoyed their set 5 course evening menu. I think it was 78 CHF per person and was completely worth it!
MoreOne of my favorit places in Luzern. (Im grown up and still live in lucern)I always like to celebrate my birthday there with great food
MoreBest onion soup ever. Salad was actually delicious. Great staff. Great ambiance and decor
MoreLovely food, atmosphere and service. Staff were very attentive and friendly and spoke great English. The food was excellent- first course was whole mealbread with salami, next beautiful filling salad (lots of toppings like nuts), then a creamy pasta, then main course was lamb with baked carrot and other cooked vegetables (celeriac perhaps?). I was well and truly full by then. I was offered dessert, cheese and/or coffee but couldn’t squeeze them in.Price was about 75 franc for meal, one glass of wine and water. The only ‘bad’ part was being charged 5 francs for still water that was in a house bottle with cucumber and lemon (so didn’t seem to be bottled water). I wasn’t offered tap water so assumed I was getting tap water and would not be charged. I would have taken tap water had I known. They didn’t offer to refill the water either. All in all a good meal (although expensive)
MoreAmazing little find. Nice to experience local way of eating which is much slower. Would highly recommend but get a reservation!!
MoreReally good. The food is mostly biologic and locally sourced. Absolutely great.
Always a great place to eat. The food ist fresh mostly from the region and always tasty. Reservation recommanded.
MoreAmazing food, super ambience (rustic and warm)-- definitely more of a winter go to place for me..
MoreVery special restaurant, do like it a lot. Excellent food, nice staff.Often booked out early, make sure to make a reservation.Be aware that theres no menu to chose from - the chef does surprise the guests every day from new
MoreAmazing food, even better wine list. Love the set menu concept, and the fact that they give you piping hot plates on which you spoon your own pasta. All the touches and the quality of cooking you would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant at a surprisingly reasonable price point. Cant recommend it highly enough for lunch!
MoreDelicious! Great food that was reasonable value in a lovely setting. Friendly service, and they encouraged us to ask for refills of the family style dishes, which were excellent. Menu changes daily, and there are non-meat options for vegetarians. They use a lot of local products (some Swiss, some Italian): on the night we visited, they had local veal, local freshwater trout, Swiss cheeses, local wine, and not sure how far Piedmont, Italy is, but they had Nero risotto rice from there as well. One of the best meals Ive ever had! Definitely make a reservation if youre in Luzern.
MoreDisappointed that we went to Grottino for our last night in Switzerland. The set menu was disappointing and the stodgy apricot pudding was not worth eating. Service was slow. Possibly a place for a group to eat but not so good for couples.
MoreExceptionally Excellent in every way. The food is fantastic, the service very friendly and welcoming, and the ambiance is unique. And to top it all off, the price is bargain for what you get. I can recommend this restaurant for any occasion, be it a romantic dinner or a night out with friends where you want to enjoy fine food.Thank you Grottino1313
MoreExcellent service and friendly staff. We went for lunch and they only had a set menu to choose from 2 starters and 1 main. The salad and the supe where great and the main course was excellent. We werent expecting such a friendly and warm place in the area. Nice mix Italian - Swiss
