Str. des 17. Juni, 10785 Berlin, Germany, Wilmersdorf
Berlin's largest & oldest park, including family amenities, walking paths & a victory column.
Right in the middle of the busy road, there is a lovely park to enjoy some peace and quite, it happens to be huge unlike other countries, but good thing is google maps work and in between the park you will get to view smaller historical monuments
Beautiful garden/ park to walk around in. I must have walked at least 5 km in and around the park and saw ponds, bridges, monuments, beautiful autumn colours and happy bouncing dogs playing fetch. Brings sheer joy to your heart. And all of it is free. But bring some cash/ spare change in case theres someone singing to make some money and youd like to donate. You cant hear the traffic even though its in the city. Loved this place.
Walk through the park. Its beautiful in the fall. Perfect for a picnic and great spot to rest your feet
I would say, the best Park in Berlin. Always pleasure to walk here and relax. Beside the Spree and near the Brandenburg Tor. Must visit.
Beautiful specially in autumn, I loved it.
This is a lovely and very large park to go for walks, a bike ride and even a scooter ride. There are a few bridges and small rivers flowing through. I walked through here recently and it looked lovely with the autumn leaves falling on the ground. It is very peaceful!
What a wonderfully relaxing place, full of trees, benches and lots of animals. And very well maintained. Well worth the Entrance fee.
The lungs of Berlin. This place is just essential for life here. Love it in every season
This park is huge! Great for a walk or bike ride.
Perfection. It’s like you are a million miles away wandering through a forest.
Incredible monument, only a few euros to get in to see a very interesting exhibition with lots of models. Brutal climb to the top but amazing views of this fantastic city. An absolute must to visit. Nice cafe nearby for a cold beer or coffee 👌🏻
My favorite garden in Berlin. Lots of space and so green, with a beautiful variety of plants and animals. Any time of the year, it is great to walk through the trees and on the grass.
Not worth the visit. Though the gardens are wide and well maintained, the zoo is way too big comparing to the number of animals. It is very hard to travel without bikes or a vehicle due to the imense area and alsoconfusing maps.Left after a short time.
Huge park, with bike lanes and lots of grass to lay on. There were also a couple of scumpltures, monuments and other things you could admire while strolling down the park. Overall Id recommend it if you like to chill in the grass or if you love big trees.
A huge and gorgeous park! Don’t miss out.
Very nice park and walking route in Berlin. You can cross to park to go to the Charlottenburg quarter.
A beautiful place, immaculately maintained. Peaceful
Love this park! Lots of paths crisscrossing through the many acres. Locals use this park, with older couples strolling hand in hand, children playing at the playgrounds, runners, bicyclists. Fantastic space.
If Berlin was New york, this would definitely be Central Park! Amazing, so much nature, the air is clean, nice to sit on the grass or enjoy a meal or a drink at some hidden restaurants
Great park with both gravel and paved trails. Beautiful gardens and statues scattered about the park and close to many tourist attractions. Always good to bring a rain jacket.
An amazing nature literally in the middle of Berlin. The atmosphere there is really relaxing.
/re. This part of the city is really cool. There are lots of walking paths and spots to just relax and appreciate the outdoors. Many of the paths are biker-friendly. A truly beautiful area
There is a really beautiful place where u can get food and some drinks
This vast green space is absolutely gorgeous.Woodland areas and park areas stretch for acres and acres, a beautiful spot for an extended walk on a sunny day.
The extension of Tiergarten includes Victory Column and some very nice art work. On other side it is bound by canal. It has a very nice cafe too. Green and with all amenities it is perfect place for day picnic and morning walk. On a sunny day people can be seen relaxing and enjoying sun.
A beautiful park in the center of Berlin
My favourite relaxing place in Berlin. Big, safe and clean. I enjoy sunbathing each time. Beautiful Monuments , amongst them a 1900 bridge on Art Nuveau Style.
A big green park for anyone that allows you to play games without disturbing others relaxing in sun. You also get to bring your dogs.
Beautiful park with a lot of trees and water inside. You can walk through it or ride it with a bike, it is always pleasure to see that kind of places and all this nature inside the city.
A beautiful park in the center of Berlin, ideal for running (6km can be done easily in the perimeterand biking. The colours of the trees are mesmerizing in Autumn!
A place to get lost in and wander around for hours. Thats what happened to me (partly due to me being kinda slow getting aroundbut I absolutely dont regret it. It was such a pleasant surprise, I didnt expect the park to be that large and beautiful, even in November. Cant wait to come in spring and see it in full bloom.
Such an amazing place. I didn’t expect this place to be so diverse and huge. I think I could spend there an entire day easily. So many people are in the park: jogging, walking, cycling, reading, playing. Serenity. During Fall it’s even fancier.
A slab of the countryside right in Berlin. Whoever planned this city knew what they were doing. Great for walking, cycling or just hanging out. Lots of trees and green spaces.
Really nice large park in the city. Mix of wooded, planted and grass areas. Dogs allowed. Is crisscrossed by many paths. The number of cyclists and e-scooter wizzing through in all directions however makes it a little uncomfortable for pedestrians.
This is one of our favourite places in Berlin. Right in the middle of the bustling city, Großer Tiergarten transfers you to lush green pathways and serene water bodies. Historically, a race course track and hunting area, the Tiergarten today serves as beautiful garden and park across a massive green space. A great escape from all the humdrum from the city.Oh and right there in middle is a beautiful beer garten next to a lake. Quench your thirst with a variety of German beers. Prost!
Key Benefits:- Its a giant park thats well taken care of- Theres free parking on the Straße des 17. Juni (from Siegessäule to Brandenburger Tor)- You can reach most places in the inner city on foot within 30 minutes- You can take the Bus or subway (Zoo or Tiergartento get around quickerThe park also offers several memorials, beautiful landmarks, and everything else you can find a park. Its a great place to start your visit to Berlin. I highly recommend it.
Very dense in nature park. It can be very beautiful, but I didnt see many ear areas. Very few, where some people would sit and get some sun light.I think its big and amazing, but being so closed with trees, sometimes if gives you the sense of being encaptured. I am not sure if it was me not used to Germany and maybe almost no violence, but I saw very little police force there, and that made me sometimes concerned. But enough with the so so side, the park is nice, you have building in the middle of it, you have a canal on the side and is close to the Brandenburg gate, the Reichstag and the Victory column. You can run and bike around the park because there are many tracks. Anyway, enjoy your experience.
When in need of nature, but cant leave the city: this is the best place to visit. (Although there are quite a few people there during warmer days. Its the perfect place for a picnic or a nice walk. The rose garden is definitely worth a visit - at the very least for the wonderful scent of the roses!
Beautiful park, lots of different sceneries, very well kept where it needed to be and rustic where it makes sense. Running, cycling, walking or having a picnic are all made better by how beautiful it is. Truly one of the best urban parks Ive seen!
Awesome Park! A ton of vendors and places to eat or drink and only a short walk from the S-Bahn. The abandoned amusement park adds a touch of creepiness to an otherwise beautiful place. I would definitely recommend that you check this out when the weather is nice!
Tiergarten is a chilling and natural place in the middle of the crazy Berlin. From the Tiergarten, you can either rent a boat for 10€/person/hour or just go for a walk and maybe stop in the cafe/restaurant close to the boat place and have a beer. I recommend it in summer.
Beautiful large (wide, to be more precisepark.Imagine a very beautiful park in which you were - it will be the same impression.Very pleasant air and dense trees, many benches. There are various beautiful monuments. While walking, we found a free toilet.Although the park is not small, but in fact it would not take a lot of time to get through it.At the weekend on the street near the park there is a flea market.
Gorgeous. And huge. Allow plenty of time. We started at the entrance of the zoo and made our way to one of the royal gardens. So much to take in. Be sure to reserve plenty of time, have a good pair of walking shoes, and have GPS on your phone, as it is easy to get turned around. Worth the time,!
Beautiful park in the middle of Berlin. So quiet once inside you can barely hear the traffic. Full of ponds with various monuments. Plenty of seating dotted around for you to have a break and take it all in.
I really enjoyed walking through the garden this morning. However watch out in some places some nude sunbathers. The birds were singing most pleasant.Beautiful Park & plenty to see.
A wonderfully massive park with well defined paths, walkways and lovely little bridges dotted all over the place to cross the many water features. We walked a lot of the Tiergarten the one day just enjoying the park and looking at monuments. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and if its summer take loads of water with you.I then spent most of a day doing my wildlife photography. Started at the Englisher Garten and walked clockwise round the Siegessäule (Victory Columnto quite a few of the water ponds. Finally settled at a pond in the South West sector and got some stunning shots of the Great Heron catching shrimp
This was place I have enjoyed most in Berlin and in fact place where I was resting after so many attractions in this amazing city visited. I will leave pictures to show how beautiful this park is and what it means for Berlin. Near park there are many beautiful embassies and I will show the most beautiful ones.
The Central Park of Berlin. It is stunning. It is located right in the center of downtown and had many trails both paved and unpaved throughout its vast passageways. The park is very well maintained, safe and clean. From one end to the other it is a little over 2 miles long.
Great place to visit and relax if youre in Berlin. You can completely cut out from the city noise and just roam the alleys and pathways. It is a historical place too, with monuments, lakes, gardens and lots of info you can read on it. Its very tidy too.
Great place to get lost and avoid for a while the touristical crowded places in the city center, but without leaving the city center: the Victory Column is just in the middle.I was recommended going by bike, but I finally enjoyed the walk on foot. As a result, I could not go everywhere: it is huge! In any case I truly had a good time just strolling and roaming around.Tiergarten is full of hidden places to discover, surprises, and has got many different examples of gardens to get lost in.
