Grille 221 in Spartanburg

Just stopped in for a burger. Sitting at the bar I watched the lady behind the bar making the food. She was putting all the lettuce and stuff on them while not wearing any gloves. I dont know where her hands have been. Just plain nasty. I left.

Wow! Possibly the best burger I ever had! Huge and perfectly cooked with all the toppings you could ask for, and then some. Little diner atmosphere… friendly and efficient waitstaff. Only couple miles off the interstate (I-26).

Great little diner that cooks your food to order. They went out of their way to cook me a meal that I could eat with my dietary restrictions. It was delicious.

Website says they are open, but nope they dont open until 4. Done !!!! Will spend my money elsewhere!!!!

Food was bland and overly greasy, plus they were already out of multiple products although it was only 6pm. Would not return.

Best burger I’ve had since moving to SC. Been here for 7 years. Prices are in my opinion low for the quality and amount of food. The double cheeseburger is a pound, and only $10! Expect to wait a little longer for your food, but it’s worth the wait!

We ordered a cheese burger fries and cold slaw and it was all delicious but we thought it took a little to much time to get it out but it was worth the wait. The dinning area was clean and staff was very friendly. I would recommend this place for a good lunch.

Waited 45 minutes for food after order. Food came out and sat on table beside kitchen for a while then it was the wrong order delivered. Every excuse in the world was given by hostess and no apology given whatsoever.

Server threw away cold fries after we asked for warm ones from having to wait, and told us to "get out." Need some work on attitude. Unfortunate.

Food is pretty good but the apparently refills arent a thing here. And was sitting right by the register and waitress station. She literally just walked right by about a dozen times to go hang out with ppl instead.

If you want a fresh meat hamburger with fresh chopped French fries this is your place to go. Casual dress reasonable price and your tea glass will never get low. Friendly associates and wonderful food.

Good size tasty burgers and great fries. Not a date place and definitely nothing fancy, but a very good working mans lunch spot. Prices are very fair.

Very nice grill & bar with great food & service. Lots of choices on the menu + reasonable priced. My wife had the Pimento Cheeseburger & I had Jakes Chicken Wrap - both were very good. Saw some friends there and they had a great experience as well. Would definitely recommend if passing through Roebuck, SC on Hwy 221!

Sorry to say Im 3 miles away and 1st time ordering from here. Cheeseburger plates were really good, moist and flavorable; real potatoe fries and crisp fresh cole slaw. Place was clean and customer service on the phone and in person was good. Friendly establishment. Thanks, I will order from here again.😊

Didnt know what to expect, but the staff was friendly. Great service and the food was delicious. I asked if they could do a special order not on the menu and they did it no problem and nailed it!! In my opinion the burger was better than Ikes. And the hand cut fries were perfect. Onion rings were too!!We will definitely be back!! Great staff, great music.

My first time here and everything was great from the food to the service. I was welcomed with open arms. The cashier explained everything to me and pointed out their best sellers. She was spot on with Jake’s chicken wrap. Omg! The best wrap I’ve ever had. It almost puts me in the mind of a chicken philly. The fresh cut fries were amazing. My food was served hot and prepared fresh. Oh and they had “real” southern sweet tea! Just the right amount of sweet. I can’t wait to try the other dishes. Can’t believe I live so close to this place and just finding out about it. Anyway, don’t miss out!

Finally got to experience this hidden gem. French fries, are hand cut and delicious. Pimento cheeseburger was fantastic. Great service great atmosphere. I look forward to going back

I recently stopped in for lunch while coming through the area. The service was wonderful and was met with a smile. I ordered the hand patted cheeseburger plate with fresh cut fries and slaw. Price came to $10.57 which I consider a lil high but the food was good. I would come back and eat again.

My first visit but not my last!! I ordered the Pimento cheese cheeseburger plate....which included fresh cut fries & cole slaw. Our entire order was received quickly and we enjoyed everything!!

Great food and really good pricing! Loved the Reuben sandwich. Burgers are thick and they serve hand cut fries! You can also get a beer here with your meal. Great atmosphere with outside dining as well. Good stop for lunch without a long wait.

Their half-pound burgers are the best in town. Fries are really great also. Their menu consists of many other items and super appetizers.

After being seated Monday evening, it took over an hour to get our food which was not great. The place was very busy for a Monday evening but still extremely slow. The waitresses were good but the food was not worth the drive.

They have the most amazing, big juicy cheeseburgers. The price is moreso amazing. A half pound burger with chips is only $7.00. Wowwwwwwwwww!! Its so delicious!

Always n a day, they have the A+ milkshakes and fried bologna ~ chilli n onions. Salads are good. Chilli cheese burgers, hot dogs and great homemade soup or visit if youre live near or come through for a delicious club sandwich + hamburger club!!! Oh yeah , the chili is homemade. Great place ~ Great fried green tomatoes, n fried pickles. Impressive to the Owner n all whos working their. Great team, I have noticed n its good to know someone has your back. No one turns their back to help one another. Smooth n easy thats the way it always should be, I love the way each one has empathy for everyone . I am. serious, take that in consideration if youve never done their job. I love the hamburger steak ~ all great food and you will never be alone, great people that you are so content

For a moment I thought Id walked into a biker bar. Its not, I was just there a night some bikers were at the bar! Silly me! The food is good and the service friendly. We were there for a get together with friends and family. Stop in. Its good and you wont be dissapointed.

Food was great and got a lot. It seems like more of a locals place for burgers because they all looked at my family weird when we walked in but the servers were nice.

Their burgers are amazing. 1/2 lb. is a lot to handle but they are juicy and delicious. Priced reasonably and everything is really fresh.

Great food and service. Only one waitress running her butt off. Was heating up buns in microwave, would have preferred a toaster. Food was great though, homemade fries and bacon cheeseburger. Forgot the slaw and guy on the grill was messing up a little on orders due to so many orders and short staff.

I have had good food and service here a while back, but today the crinkle cut fries (last visit the criws were fresh cutwere burnt and our server seemed more interested in her phone than taking care of our table. I hope its a better experience next visit.

I havent been here in a long time. I got take out. I got 3 cheeseburger clubs and 2 small fries. I thought it was a little exspensive. The sandwiches were good but the fries were really greesy and it took awhile for it to be ready and they were not that busy.

The best cheeseburger youll have in Spartanburg and thats saying a lot for our town! Everything is made to order and the service is always with a smile. The owner is a super nice guy and its a place where youll feel at home right away. There are families and groups with kids so I dont know where the previous reviewer got his information. All of the food that Ive ever had has been awesome!
