Cool chain for burgers and sliders made from carefully sourced produce, plus low-carb options.
For the most part the food is delicious. I have only ever ordered chicken burgers from them (and once a lamb burgerand they are usually very tasty and succulent, and the sides are similarly enjoyable. Importantly, they have a wide range of options for those of us with strict dietary requirements, and especially good are their gluten free offerings which we have never had any trouble with in terms of a reaction to. Unfortunately, its not cheap to get the burgers gluten free, and if you are substituting ingredients for others ones (even just the sauce!it will rack up extra frees. Also, they do tend to struggle with the sweet potato chips, which are often undercooked and/or under-salted. and the eggs are almost always overdone. Ive found the snack chip portions are often skimped on, but the full size ones are generally fine.Delivery orders generally take about an hour or less to arrive after placing, and I live approximately 10 minutes away by car, which I consider to be in good time.That all being said, they have fairly frequently messed up orders, either wherein a burger has to be discarded because its incorrect and doesnt meet dietary requirements, or just forgetting to add sides or drinks to the order. I dont really take issue so much with the mistakes themselves as from my understanding, Grilld workers are underpaid and overworked, but rather the compensation offered for said mistakes. They will get back to you swiftly and politely if you submit feedback on it, but are reluctant to offer an actual refund, instead opting to mail you vouchers that one; are only for a free burger with the purchase of another burger, and two; can only be used in-store at Fairfield specifically within a meagre couple of months after the issue date. If I was able to visit the store myself, I would be doing that instead of getting delivery! This renders the idea of it being actually compensatory rather laughable.Note: I have only ever ordered delivery from this restaurant, and have never been there in person. For this reason I am unable to comment on the service and cleanliness of the restaurant itself. Delivery orders I place are through the Grilld website/app itself, not a third-party app.
Grilld burger is really a great burger that is also chain. I am very glad with their beyond meat and impossible burgers that are plant based. Quite yummy and friendly stuff. I continuously come here.
Had "garden goodness " was fresh and good as the name suggested 🙂.
45 minute wait for a burger and two sliders… uncouth… Below average food, below average service. Prioritising Uber eats orders over dine in customers is an atrocity. Go to George’s fish and chips next door.
Bland burger, long wait despite empty restaurant, expensive. No flavour, inattentive staff and really greasy salt and pepper shakers 🤢
Awful service & wait times. Burger was cold as they had the meat patties stacked on top of each other on the hot plate. Saw a table of 6 young children, where their meals were coming out 1 by 1, meaning 1st person finished their meal and others in same group still waiting! Also heard a couple cancel their order due to excessive wait times. This isnt the 1st time the quality at this Grill’d Store has been poor. Thought to give them another chance, but will stick to other places for a decent (hotburger. Having previously worked in the fast food industry, I am shocked at how slow the service is. Staff seemed very over whelmed.
I paid for a full sized burger and received what looked like a Childrens meal. When I got in contact they didn’t offer any replacement…
Found tue staff very helpful and there is a wide range of meals with lamb, beef and chicken. The great thing there is a child size meals with the cost is very resenable a bassic burger for $10.50 through to fancy meals for $16.00. The grill is on plan sight and found the hot plate where kept clean. The meals area is clean and out of the way of the maon walk way. This is worth a look.
I order via the phone for pickup, come in, tell the waiter my name and pay. Im waiting 10 minutes then I ask if its ready and tell a different waiter my name. Turns out the order was sitting there the entire time waiting and the other waiter reckons it was cooked 3 mins ago when I ask.Its really frustrating to be paying absolute top prices for a burger, then you cant even get it fresh and hot, when you ask about it you are told a white lie.
Best fast food in Australia. We get low carb buns grass fed beef burgers and chicken nuggets for toddler. She loves them!
Burger was messy and was completely wrong and because of a takeaway order didn’t have the chance to follow up on it. However the quality of the burger and it’s meat and vegetables were high quality.
Well, well, well… what a restaurant. This store is beautiful, serves delicious food, and has great customer service. I ordered a Summer Sunset and let me tell you… I have just experienced 10 minutes in heaven! The combination of the avocado, bacon and beef was incredible. And to top things off, the service I experienced was top notch. I was dealt with by ‘Cooper’, he was very professional but also had a good laugh with me… making it a very comfortable dining experience! So hats off to Cooper! And to the rest of the Grilld staff. I will certainly be back again
I am normally not the biggest fan of Grilld as a company, as its no secret the staff are grossly underpaid and their food can be a little pricey. However, today I decided to give it another go and see how it went. I was pleasantly surprised to be welcomed with open arms, by all their staff but especially my server Cooper, who seemed to be running the show back there but still had the time of day to check on all customers including myself. I ordered the Mighty Melbourne, which normally isnt my go-to, but I was taken aback by the quality of the ingredients and how the burger was fresh off the grill. Again, even though there is clearly a shortage of staff at the moment they did take care of everyone inside the restaurant and did everything with a smile on their face! Ill be sure to be back!
Opening said 11am, I entered at 11.03 and was Cleary the first customer of the day as the staff were still taking the chairs outside. The looks I got seemed like the staff weren’t too keen on me walking thru the door. I asked if they were open and they hummed and harred before saying oh ok it’s after 11. Ordered burger and chips. Can’t understand why half my chips were cold and half nice crisp and freshly hot. Obviously some chips were cooked prior to opening and some with my order. $6.50 for a small bucket of cold and hot chips along with the customer service, I’ll pass next time
Just got our take away at 7pm this Friday. And it was terrible. Chips were underdone an the party was burnt and looked like charcoal. This is not how it is normally served at grilled, kindly train your Fairfield staff.
I went to grilld tonight to get the demogorgan burger. You can call me eleven cause I beat that thing While I was there I was served by the most lovely young man by the name of Nathan. He wore an infectious grin throughout the knight and treated me like a king. I have even heard rumours he may b a descendant of Jesus. He served me and my wife Charlene and was a gentleman throughout, we entered with our bellies empty and left with full bellies and a sense that the new generation might not be as doomed as I thought. Hey, I was served by a worker he was named Tom and he was very good. He was extremely hospitable and very efficient. The food was good as usual. :)
I’ve been to Grill’d Fairfield a handful of times now. Always great service, fresh burgers and clean restaurant.I always get the Simply Grill’d with a small side of chips & a dipping sauce. Never disappoints, 👌🏻 hits the craving spot every time.
I’m not sure why but apparently everytime I order the “impossible garden goodness” burger it seems they forgot the beetroot. And look that’s all fine and well but as a vegetarian just trying to enjoy a flavourless plantbased patty sometimes what I am most looking forward to is the beetroot!! Might I add this happens both in store aswell as when ordering home delivery.I’ve double, triple checked they still put beetroot on the burger when reading their menu. Infact one time I even called ahead to let them know they always forget and to please not to forget the beetroot this time. I have even gone so low as to buy my own beetroot as a back up to put on my burger. Look i don’t know what is going on, I have many theories but I give up, I don’t want to fight this fight anymore, I just want my beetroot back.Thank youP.S Carlton would never do this
This restaurant totally messed up our delivery order - food was inedible since they ignored the allergy info. Tried to remedy this over a period of months- manager repeatedly ignoring the question of a refund. He was incredibly rude, I asked for his name and he said ‘you can yell it from the rooftops mate’ lol
Went for a quick burger for dinner on the 27/4. The guy taking our order was disinterested and completely unhelpful. He did not ask if we wanted chips, sides, sauces or drinks and barely acknowledged us. The food took ages to come out while all we could hear was the staff laughing and having incredibly loud conversations. The staff member then slammed our food down on the table. While eating, the music was then turned up to an obnoxiously loud level to the point that I could not have a conversation with the person sitting next to me. It was borderline like being in a nightclub on a Wednesday night……. Such a horrible and uncomfortable dining experience.
Wouldn’t normally bother but … chicken in both burgers raw, chips cold and soggy. Called restaurant to let them know and spoke with “the manager” who said take it up with Uber … won’t ever order again.
Brilliant customer service. Mistake with new staff member only got 1 of 2 burgers ordered. Manager provided missing burger for no cost. Great chip BTW 🍟
I’m very upset and angry !! Because after a long time of waiting for my order, I received this !!!! My order was hamburger with bacon and without sauce !!!!
I dont think Ive ever left a negative review anywhere but this was the worst Grilld experience and my partners first (probably last).. there was a huge cockroach that ran through the store (which several people saw), paid for burgers that were wrong and both burnt, and the patties were still slightly frozen. I get its fast food but.. ??Tried calling to contact someone but theyve closed early so Im leaving this here.
This Grilld branch need to train their workers a good costumer service otherwise they will lose their costumers due to bad costumer service. Today we received a very bad costumer service and were almost kicked out of the restaurant just because we thought we can dine-in to eat our takeaway order at the restaurant 30 before closure time!
Ordered on the app for take away.. Not only was I given someone else’s meal and had to come back for my correct order but I was disappointed to bite into my burger to find it contained baking paper?!
Don’t usually leave reviews but today I received the worst looking kids burger I’ve ever seen. Had to throw it away.
Bit hit & miss. Sometimes the food is great, other times not so much. Defs the best place locally for a GF burger though.
Had to wait 45 minutes for a burger 🍔. Ask for no cheese and it came out with cheese and there was no apology at all. Terrible vibe unmotivated staff. Go across the road to the chicken shop much better value and quick turnaround

This would be a one star review but I give an extra star for the staff working on New Year’s Day.Waited half an hour for a chicken salad hoping for some crisp fresh lettuce, but it was soggy brown and old. Chicken was cold, dry and inedible. The chips tasted like they’ve been sitting on the counter for 29 minutes. Spent $50 on food I can’t even eat. I tried to call six times to complain before leaving a review but no one answers, so no need to respond to this review to make it up to me. I won’t come back.Rotting lettuce
Unfortunately, a very disappointing family meal tonight. We waited almost half an hour although the restaurant was almost empty. Our burgers arrived burnt, cold (gf buns felt semi-defrostedand not as ordered (e.g., one had beetroot when the request was for no beetroot). Staff were pleasant but food was terrible. Please take this as constructive criticism - we have eaten here for years but wont come back if this is the standard.
Went on a Sunday afternoon about 1:30pm. We were not greeted as we entered the restaurant. There were a few customers inside when we entered, not busy but the staff seemed to be busy. This not being our first time at a Grilld, we took some menus and sat outside. The girl that took our order was very nice and patient as each burger had changes (e.g no bun, no onions/picklesSomething happened with the screen and she had to put in our order again, remembering it without us needing to say it again. The food took 12-15 minutes to come out, which I think is about average for a Grilld. Especially for one that had become slightly more busy in the last 30 minutes with Uber orders and customers ordering food. 2 of the 4 burgers came out together, then she took our table number away. For a second we thought she had gotten the numbers mixed up since we were still waiting on half our order. But she came back with the rest of our food. I ordered the Bonfire BBQ on traditional without onions and pickles. When she put it down in front of me she said "heres your cheeseburger" Only the meat patty and cheese was visible when looking at the burger, but I checked and it was the right burger (without onions and picklesthey had just been a little light on the sauce. She would have seen the docket for the table, and shouldve known it wasnt a cheeseburger. All of our order was correct, well cooked and yummy. Our table was not checked on, the red rod on our table was not flipped to white. Other than a few minor things it was a good meal at Grilld Fairfield.
Update: I really do like their burgers. But a business is more than their product, it’s their culture and the way they treat people.I have am sitting in my car at 10:10pm after waiting 40min for my child to finish work. They often go overtime. They didn’t give leniency for exam periods and don’t allow holidays. For $12 an hour on casual, surely their is some respect for the fact they are so young. It’s a school night after all.So even though I like their food, I can’t support a business that treats our children so poorly. Unfortunately, you have lost a loyal customer.Always reliable burgers and so easy for the kids. I like that I can grab a beer and feels almost healthy! HahaEven better, they employed my son. But he is yet to make me a burger at home so room for improvement in the training ;)
Rude manager (Christhat suggested I should claim money back via Uber Eats for some food that was not delivered even though it was Grilld in Fairfield that forgot to complete the order…that was clearly labeled on receipt attached to bag. It isn’t Uber Eats job to check what is on the order/receipt and bag it’s the job of the individual store! Shame on you Grilld Fairfield for being so incredibly rude and dismissive. We have always supported local…no you any more. Even got hung up on from manger…not cool. 😒
Servive was very quick, young staff were very friendly. A beef burger with daijon mustard was juicy, tasty and good quality. Location is great but parking can be nightmare, youll have to have good timing or be paient to get a spot. It looks like new bike lane has built so need to watch out bike riders too.
Burgers are good, but its not a nightclub. Music way too loud. Just want to sit down and have a quiet meal. Seems they want the music for the staff and not the customers.
Waited 30mins for two burgers and we were the only ones dining in. This is the third time it’s happened to us at Grilld. The only reason I gave it two stars was because it was tasty and we ate it in 5mins. Grilld seems to be becoming quite inconsistent with their service and food quality - not so sure I’m inclined to be back any time soon.
Used to order frequently from here as it was one of our faves however something has really gone down hill here recently! A few months ago the burger buns definitely tasted odd, assuming they had gone off! Didnt order for a few months as it put us off, decided to give them another try as they had always been so good before then! Our last order a few weeks ago came without the sauces we had paid for, then tonights order had one sauce missing, one sauce off and some rock hard burger buns! Such a shame as this used to be our regular, always fresh ingredients and tasty! but definitely wont be ordering from here again, RIP :(
Always take a very long time to complete order. Asked to wait outside and they left order inside for extra 10 minutes without coming out to let us know. Even after coming inside they don’t acknowledge or take initiative. Staff too young, inexperienced with no leadership. 3 times now Ive waited half an hour for a burger order. Over it
Great burger spot lovely fresh ingredients and a particular mention should go to the staff and service especially the manager today. Just don’t order from Deliveroo. They took over two hours to deliver and the app keeps feeding u nonsense about the restaurant being busy as the problem, it wasn’t. The order was made and ready on the pass in 20 mins they had to remake at least once waiting for a rider, called and they couldn’t be more helpful. Outrageous Deliveroo takes so much money from struggling hospitality business’ then offers woeful service whilst defaming them on their app. Thanks Grilld we shall pick up next time 😁
Fast and very friendly service from great waiting staff. And the burger and chips was worth the 15 minute wait.
Grilled food good, though check your online order, as a few occasions additional items ordered such as beetroot on a burger etc not included and wait times always longer and not ready at advised pick up time. Parking in the area to pick up not easy. Recommend to take someone with you if driving.
Dined in last week (beyond garden goodness and mighty mushroomand it was terrible.Cold burgers, buns toasted to a crisp that disintegrated, mushroom burger was beyond salty, chips were cold and burnt.We usually get takeaway from here all the time and its great, dont know whats happened.
Look, on the whole this place is pretty good.But each time weve been here, theres always been something wrong. Previously there were orders that disappeared, tonight we paid for extra ingredients and didnt get them.The burgers are always good, but all the stuff around the burgers (ie ordering and getting what you orderneeds fixing. Even the website sucks.
Ordered a veg burger (garden goodnessthat was yum and zucchini chips for a healthier option. However the zucchini chips was full of salt, it was so hard to eat them
Come here regularly for lunch on my break. They staff here are always super nice and energetic. Theres plenty of options and not just burgers.As a vegetarian, theres a bunch of stuff to choose from.The restaurant has a sort of rustic vibe which is a perfect feel for a burger joint. Only thing Id point out is at the time of writing (May 2019the in-house sound system speakers appear to be faulty or distorted and it can be a little distracting.Otherwise, a fantastic place to go for lunch :)
Excellent customer service although the quality of this branch disappointed me.Double patty because they could not unstick it and I had to do it myself. The Chips where cold and soft. Total cost $25.
Spacious restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Customising burgers was easy and staff were friendly and happy to make changes. The food was fresh and the zucchini chips were delicious and not greasy at all. Would go to this Grill’d again.
