MoreSeriously I enjoyed this place than ever before
I had an amazing half day. Together with our guide Ibrahim, we hiked to Griffin Falls, through the forest and the community. It was truly a great and a affordable experience. I strongly suggest to have lunch there after your day. Its suprisingly delicious.
MoreAdventure getway from Kampala in just 1hour
Its a life time experience. The zip lining is 👌
We stayed at the camp accomodation and had a very good time. The ecotwins are very comfortable and the food is so fresh and delicious. We did the mangabey tracking (definitely recommend!and the Ziplining which we both enjoyed. Hussein and his team really put in a lot of effort. We would definitely recommend this place!
MoreIt was the greatest experience I ever had
Its located in Mabira Forest Reserve, Lugazi town in Nagojje Sub-county.They have extremely well behaved experienced tour guides like Isaac Mukuru, the place is clean, fresh air from the natural forest makes you to stay for the whole day.Its worth a visit either going to Jinja or coming from Jinja. I wish they can expand the area in a natural way so that it can accommodate even weddings and parties.
More“Travel and tell no one, live a true love story and tell no one, live happily and tell no one, people ruin beautiful things.” ― Kahlil GibranI have read many of Khalil Gibran’s writings, and i love and recommend them, but with this particular one, I disagree. This weekend I just couldn’t help myself but tell you what we did! Leaving the covid chaos and worries behind, I and my travel partner Ruth hit the road last night with one goal, to do something exciting this year, despite the turbulent times. The zip line at griffin falls, followed by a 2-hour guided nature walk was all the revival we needed to bring the energies back. The forty meter climb to the zip line above is a clear promise of fear, and adrenaline filled excitement, enough to precipitate a heart attack. After you survive the climb, the view is breathtaking! The last zip line carries you across one of the many rivers in the mabira forrest,I didn’t even know they had those in there. lolSoul, if you are weary and troubled with the times, perhaps it is time to backpack to revive yourself!Uganda is a beautiful country!Dr. Paul Muwanguzi.
MoreTLDR - Griffin Falls Camp is a safe and professional adventure that is worth the $50 price tag.Griffin Falls hosts zip lining and nature hike activities. Being in any mature forest is delightful, but Mabira does not boast the exciting features of more iconic places in Uganda. However, the guides are deeply knowledgeable and make the nature hike fun and interesting. The zip lining has 7 sections. This is far and away enough to get your adrenaline going. The team is consistent with their safety protocols, although my “figure 8” knot did not have enough for a safety knot - I was told “we don’t do that here” 🤔. Otherwise it was great. The spot is a perfect day trip from Kampala or on your way to Jinja. The camp is complete with a restaurant and eating space.
MoreWe have quite a beautiful and adventurous time
You need to have the best ever memory, you should try this place, crossing those ropes is a real deal, so amazing 6 zip lines over a very beautiful scenery is just amazing.
MoreIt was really nice
The adrenaline rush is one you will love
Fantastic place to enjoy the forest.Great zipline
The experience here is so extraordinary. The zip lining is so interesting.
Well, this needs a mountain of courage. If you have fear of heights, dont even think about it.Its what I would call, extreme fun🥰
MoreI liked the forest walk with guide Sam. It was my first time for a wire line. I fill like going back.
MoreGood natural environment for learning and birdwatching,. Butterflies and camping experience not forgetting the zip lining and archery. A place that you are to visit now and then see you soon again.
MoreFun forest on the way to kampala from Jinja. Ziplining between the trees. We camped there, very nice sounds at night. Even if toilets are quite basic and theres no shower or sink, we enjoyed our stay. People are very friendly as well.Unfortunately the river is poluted from the sugar factory near by, you can feel a bad smell close to it. Does not reach much the camp site.
MoreThe thrill that comes with zip lining is unmatched. The starting point is the most terrifying moment, but when let free its fun all the way.Six zip lines over the tall green trees of Mabira forest, birds chirping, crossing through the river..Definitely one of the activities you gotta add to your bucket list!
MoreIf you are in this place, dont miss the falls and Zip lining
we had a great forest walk the zip lining is exciting and adventurous.. its a whole jungle experience..
MoreVery expensive for foreign residents plus arrogant staff members.same charges for ziplining and archery dint seem fair at all. My foreign friends were not happy and I was to blame for recommending them.
MoreDid zip lining with a couple of friends, had a great time
I thoroughly enjoyed the forest walk, and it seems like a great zip-lining site. Our tour guide was awesome. However, the accommodation is quite basic, best to carry everything you need if youre going to spend a night there (carry your soap, towel, etc). You might also need to carry snacks, or let them know before you arrive if youll want them to prepare your meals. Network is very poor in the area, go ready to be shut off from the world through the night. There are a few good network spots you can stand at during the day. The activities appear to be the main focus, it seems not much attention is paid to maintaining (and building more ofthe accommodation. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the place. It has a community appeal that makes you feel at home.
MoreIncredible experience! Six zip lines over the rainforest canopy, soaring across a river too. Dont just go for the ziplining though - I went on an amazing nature walk, saw butterflies, birds and monkeys and learnt lots about the forest. The project is community owned and it supports local people as well as the conservation of the forest. The accommodation is quite basic but its clean and they have great fresh food, and the best bit was waking up to see monkeys in the trees above my cabin. My lovely guide was Hussein- hes incredibly knowledgable and a great host. Hes on +256782222156
MoreWow! Its such a wonderful Adrenaline rush experience! The best for zip lining, romantic nature walk and artillery.
MoreMuch more experience. Especially hiking
It was a great experience at Griffin Falls when I travelled with Inspire African Safaris, guide Willy of Griffin Falls made me feel the real nature walk of Mabira Forest and seeing the Griffin Falls, thanks a lot guide Willy.
MoreThe zip lining course is a vibe. Its really fun. Very affordable too!
Its a uniquely beautiful place, quite a long stretch off the main highway but the drive thru the cane plantations is one you wont forget, the activities are thrilling and theres guides all the way... a must visit I must say
MoreDeep, Nature, dense, great ziplines running through the forest, nature trail (just that our luck wasnt so good because of the rain and wetlands, didnt get to see any birds or animals)
MoreGreat place to start an adventure after a while. I highly recommend the scary ziplining and flying challenge. Climb the tall trees, fly over some, fly over river musamia.
MoreWe went with the whole family during quarantine, and had the best time. It was really easy to get there (directions are easy to follow). The zip lining was great, and one of the guides even offered to take care of the baby so that I could do the zip lining. He was great (I wish I had asked him his name). The zip lining guides were so calm and helped everyone to have a great time. We had dinner and breakfast there, and the food was okay. Portion size was really big thou, so if you have kids, 2 can easily share one plate. The manger offered to get us a bonfire (10,000 UGXand it was the best. One thing that was hard was that we had issues with water. They have to pump the water from the outside, and its something to consider if you have a large group (we had 8 people). I would highly recommend Griffin Falls Camp.
MoreWe really enjoyed the morning/ afternoon up there. It is quite a distance from the road BUT well worth it.The staff are brilliant, the zip lining is great in the trees and you do feel yourself get higher. The initial climb up to the zip line platforn is a nice little cardio to get the heart pumping.I also wanted a walk through the forest as i am interested in the vegetation and medicinal properties of plants. We tried to catch the monkeys but you have to get there eary and we were delayed by over an hr (totally my faultIt was sad to see the little waterfall full of pollution however its good we are shown the effects of mass production and the impact on the environment. I enjoyed the trip and would go back again to try catch the monkeys. Kato is an excellent guide.
MoreAmazing zipline above Mabira forest canopy. In fact the highest zipline in Uganda
MoreIts a very good adventurous place that will take your breath away.
Awesome place to get away from the madness and noise of Kampala. Very friendly and safety conscious guides. I wish I had planned to stay over night there. That would have rejuvenated me properly.
MoreThrilling experience. Every single person needs to try this. Its even better when in a big group. Really lovely.
MoreThis is the perfect place to be for a thrilling zip lining experience. Its breathtaking when the wind blows the tree on which you are standing several metres from the ground and all u wanna do is think about yourself and the mighty God
MoreI have only done the hike here. Have enjoyed it each time. Always get wonderful guides that help make the experience good. The hike is not hard more like walk through forest, until you get closer to falls. It gets steep and rocky.
MoreIts a place u cant miss visiting in life to adventurous
The serenity of nature in the forest is amazing. Lots of tree species and monkeys during the nature walk.No 24hr restaurant, meals have to be pre-ordered.Entrance fee including a guide is UGX 10,000 (USD 3)There is a 380m zip line through the forest and across the river that costs UGX 60,000 (USD 16per person
MoreAn ideal for all Hiking and Zip lining activities in Uganda.Had such a fun time there
MoreIt is an great away from town exprience. Zip lining was blast. Prices were actually same a on their website. awesome staff, nature walk 3/5 ziplining 5/5 accomodation is about 3/5
MoreOne of the best moments I had with family, Zip lining was the new experience and I must say its a must do if you ever visit Jinja.
MoreZip lining, is an extra ordinary activity. And it is for everyone. Zipping high up as 40 m. Enjoying it in the Canopy.
MoreIt has the best zip line in this country. The wardens were so kind and patient especially with people afraid of heights. The experience is incomparable. Not even the rain could stop us from enjoying nature. I will definitely do it again
MoreThe staff are very helpful and polite, very professional, the zip lining a never to be forgotten thrill
