Came here for a low-key anniversary dinner. Nice vibe and doesnt feel crowded even when full. Got the braised beef cheek and barramundi which were both exceptional and choc mousse for dessert which had nice crunchy bits and sweet pear. Only downside would be not quite feeling full after our meal but will come back again :)

Excellent meal here for dinner. Top notch cooking of dishes that you won’t run across anywhere. Loved that all the wine was possible by the glass and at reasonable prices. Plenty of selection both of wine and food (though veggie you might want to double check). The scallops you can easily eat double of. The gnocchi was a new one for me. Not the potato pasta type but from pastry. So much cheese and flavour!! Not normally a desert person but had to give the choc mousse with poached pear a go. No regrets.Portions were just about right. If I was nit picking I would say the scallop was on the small side. But main and desert was good. Did not leave bloated despite the three courses.Three courses and three wines $94 for one. Was worth it.

I like this place! The entry is discreetly marked, and you must make your way upstairs and through a classic building with much character. The dining area is almost austere, but this simply sets the stage for a sleek counter behind which the servers constantly move from kitchen to tables. The menu is brief but interesting, the food is quality and prepared with skill and attention. Plating is simple and beautiful, flavors are well-structured, and please: choose the cheese for dessert. You wont be disappointed.

Three times now I’ve asked them if they can get some zero alcohol beer. Most restaurants of this caliber offer multiple non alcoholic options, all I could get here was a lemon lime and bitters. They’ve lost our business going forward, pity as the food is very good

I never heard of Greenglass but I was able to go here with a friend last week. I really liked the simplicity of the fit out and the atmosphere - The service was impeccable and very warm - always ensured that everything was topped up and that we were looked after. The food was incredible! We started with the fresh oysters with the vinaigrette and the beef tartare which were immaculate. For mains, we got the confit duck and the market fish which was easily the best fish dish Ive had in a while. All in all, a fantastic dining experience. I cant wait to go back!

They say the smaller the menu the better the food. And in this case, they are absolutely right. The menu is small, but totally adequate and whoever is in the kitchen knows what they are doing. Interesting, flavourful food - French, but with a bit of a twist. This place is a gem.

Great food. Its certainly hidden, we walked passed the dark stairwell twice, no signage other than GG on a dark blackboard. Quaint, simplistic atmosphere. Nice wine. Well worth finding this hidden gem.

Beautiful restaurant. A real surprise to find this little gem behind a small door on a busy street. Service was perfect. Steak frites was great but my risotto was very salty. Still delicious though. Would recommend.

My partner recently surprised me on a dinner date here and it was Such a divine experience! I was blown away from the get go, waking into the stunning atmosphere. The vibe here is to die for. The food menu was spectacular and I wanted to try everything – ended up narrowing it down to a few delicious items from a duck entree, chicken mains, broccolini sides, finished with a espresso, chocolate and crème brûlée! Each dish was absolutely tantalising, so much flavour so tasty and such high quality! Plentiful drinks menu too. Nothing but smiles left on our faces! Have been raving on about this place to our friends, can’t wait to dine here again! Such a beautiful spot

Do yourself a favour. Brilliant service from our waiter. Great food and atmosphere. My salmon was cooked exactly how I asked for it. I was visiting Brisbane, but if I lived there I would dine here frequently. An excellent night of dining. And do get a dessert.

Eye fillet was great. Confit Duck taste like chicken and comes with a poor mixed of canned beans and carrots (wouldn’t recommendWe wish we could have tried desserts but the staff was worry about doing the clean up to go home and didn’t ask if we would like to order anything else before the kitchen shuts. Pass 6 minutes I tried to place a order but it was too late… very average service.+ sitting facing the mope and behind us there was a huge moldy wall (not cool)

For my birthday dinner, I and wife, we went to this restaurant. Very nice french restaurant, staff very friendly and atmosphere is great & nice deco. However food was quite salty for me.. :(You may need to ask them do not put too much salt on food.We had steak frites & eye fillet steak.... steak frites was good and okay but eye fillet, compared with price. Taste and quality weren’t that good.

Greenglass had previously been a venue we enjoyed dining. However - the service was incredibly slow and unprofessional . The dining experience took 2hr 45min… the wait between receiving entrees and mains was too slow. Items not ordered had to be removed from the bill upon request. The food was subpar and rather basic for the cost.Vegetarian options consisted of one main - a salad.. and no, not a sophisticated salad.Overall, a disappointing experience. Definitely would not recommend.

I used to go to ‘Green glass’ all the time and really enjoyed the whole atmosphere and vibe of the place. Considering this I booked it on my birthday and to my disappointment it was absolutely terrible. The meals took 2 hours to come out, with items missing that were not to be addressed. Our bottle of wine was finished before we got our starter. When the starter arrived the waitress offered more bread as there were 6 of us which came after we finished eating and was charged an additional $6 extra. Certain drinks were also added to our bill which we never ordered. Knowing the wait time was long and we had already waited 2 hours I asked for my dessert to be brought out straight after my mains, which the waitress gave me a lot of attitude for. Overall just a very disappointing experience all up considering I’ve recommended this place to a lot of people and chose to go here on a special day. I will confidently say I will never go here again and will never recommend this place to anyone.

A lovely surprising place, tasty food and a fair price !The only thing is that one of the waitress was quite rude for any reason... it was the second time I had a dinner at this place and both time with the same waitress.. I finally got a smile from her when I paid the bill, maybe because she was drinking some wine during her shift... what a shame because except this.. its a lovely place 🙂

We went to Greenglass for a birthday dinner and I can’t rave about it enough! The staff were absolutely amazing, the food was delicious (would recommend the Pomme dauphine to a friendand there was a lovely selection of wines. The space itself is very minimally decorated, which adds to its charm.

To me this restaurant reminds me of dining in Melbourne. Walking down George street you wouldn’t know it was there, after entering up a steep set of stairs past the toilets into a lovely open dinning room. We order various meals between 7 of us, and it was all beautiful, food was great. There is a good wine and beer selection, and plenty of other drinks. If you are after a cheap night out go to Maccas but you do get what you pay for here.

Beautiful little hidden gem on George Street with a nice atmosphere. They have a nice French menu collection with good wines to complement. I had the braised beef cheek followed by the creme brulee. Both of which were generous portions. The beef cheek was well cooked, with a lovely rich sauce and side vegetables. The creme brulee was silky smooth with a hint of salt to pair back the sweetness. Very enjoyable.

This restaurant is situated at the edge of CBD, not as busy at the heart of queens st mall. The low-profile entrance did give me a surprise of the inside setting. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering starters and main courses that will appeal to youngsters and adults alike. Everything we had was fresh and delicious. The French wine recommended was of great value. The highlight of tonight’s dinner was the creme brûlée - good portion size and probably the best in town. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is brilliant.

This is a French restaurant. The styling is minimalistic. They offer great wine from France but also some local wines. The beef tartare is very good. The main course was even better and the cheese platter and cream brûlée was exquisite. Bravo.

Had a really great experience dining here for the first time. Booked a table for 4 for a birthday surprise birthday diner and Katya was so nice and accommodating to stay and wait until I dropped off the birthday cake before they opened.I feel bad for not asking for our waiters name but he was spot on with his service. He also recommended a great wine to match all our meals.Had the freshly shucked oysters; it was so meaty yet not too overpowering of the brine taste. Had the escargot in pastry; highly recommended. And gnocchi. We had the duck, which was so succulent and cooked to perfection. The pasta dish that was very fresh. And had 2 servings of rib eye with sides. All in all, such a pleasant experience and great food. The dining room was pleasantly lighted as well.Brought the in laws and they had a bit of trouble with the steps. Maybe more for the younger crowd. Will definitely come back. Thank you Katya and the team!Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Value ⭐⭐⭐⭐Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Ambiance ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Parking nil

Quaint little french restaurant tucked away on George street Brisbane. Modest and sophisticated with great lighting and ambience. Greenglass serves up delicious Beef Tartare, Salmon Gravlax and not forgetting the Pomme Dauphine.... delicious!!!! I could have kept eating them. Our waitress/host was friendly and apologised for the long wait on the food. With a few tweaks to their table service might raise it to a higher rating. I can’t wait to visit again.

Beautiful French restaurant! 🇫🇷🍷 Had the escargot, sardines, tuna cerviché and crab souffle for entre; roast chicken, snapper, gnocchi and Angus beef cheek for mains with eggplants, seafood casseroles, duck confit for mains; mille-feuille, creme brule and chocolate cake for dessert. All delicious! Hats off to the chefs. The Angus beef cheek and the gnocchi were my favourite - melt in your mouth, super tender, full of flavour goodness.Beautiful French wines.Service though could be better. On our fourth visit, we arrived 10 mins earlier than our booking time at 5pm. The staff was grumpy and did not welcome us but asked from the counter what our booking name was under, twice, even though I clearly answered her. Then she literally rolled her eyes and said they were not opened for another 10 minutes. Hmm but the door was.. hence why we walked in? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe dont take bookings for 5pm? 😬 Left a sour taste on my mouth, really.

We were in Brisbane Saturday/Sunday and Monday morning and planned to visit our favourite restaurants. Our apartment was near Roma Street, further north of our usual haunts so I checked Google Maps for nearby coffee and restaurants, settling for dinner at GreenglassWe climbed the stairs and scored a spot at the bar. Wow! Our staffer said theyd been open 4 years - how did we miss Greenglass on our last visit to Brisbane? The bar was perfect, since we could see the action and easily chat with staff. The kitchen on the way to the dining area was split across the passage and quite small. The bar staff retrieved and dish-washed all finished plates, glasses and utensils, as well as carefully setting tables, waiting, serving food and drinks and carefully serving wine with the argon gas dispenser. We were offered tastes to ensure we liked each wineWe started with a glass of Rose [Gueissard, France $13] and a Peroni Red [$8.5] while we checked the menus - great range of food and preparation styles and wine. We shared each dishOur Grilled octopus w roast capsicum, baby cos, peas, finger lime, nduja [$19] went well with a Liefmans Sour [$13] and another rose, as did our Rillette - house-made duck and preserve served with bread [$17] - beautifully presented, delicious foodThen Pan-fried snapper, black couscous, baby veg and smoked salmon cream [$32] - another stunning dish and a very good Muscadet [Belleview, France $15]With our Slow-cooked Angus beef cheek in the style of Bourguignon [$30] I enjoyed a  glass of Shiraz [Castagna, Beechworth $25] - full-bodied, well-balanced fruit/acid/tannins to accompany the rich beef flavours and perfect jusWe finished with a mile feuille [$12] to check the patisserie skills - perfect! This is a very special place - wonderful service, drinks, food and experience for just under $200

We were worried the restaurant would be hard to find but with the Wine glass and good signage out the front there were no problems at all. Staff were nice and friendly and service was quick. Entrees were really well presented and tasted delicious. Mains were the perfect size and temperature and tasted amazing. Drinks were great and the dining room layout really does make you feel like youre dining in a NYC loft. Well be back for sure!!

Really enjoyed our dinner, wine and dessert. High quality food, at a very responsible price. Small selection of interesting wines. Friendly staff and a unique but simple modern restaurant. Entry can be hard to find, but look for a wine bottle in a glass cabinet for the entry way.

Comfortable environment and excellent food, I had steak and fish today. The steak was cooked well and nicely presented but maybe I should have the steak medium rare next time. The fish was amazingly tasty and crispy. The seats are located with comfortable distance. Overall it’s a great experience, definitely will visit again.

Intriguing, understated entrance. Opens up into a large, beautiful dining area. Service was friendly. The food was all solid, chicken was well cooked and the french onion soup was flavoursome. Stand out dish was the floating meringue dessert. Great presentation and wonderfully light and fluffy, not too sweet. Enjoyed my dinner here, but especially enjoyed the ambiance.

Excellent food. I especially loved the chicken linguine. The pasta absorbed the chicken broth and was very flavourful. The steak was nice too although it does not taste especially unique. Overall great experience. The only downsides were the restaurant being hard to locate (a little signboard pointing you into the restaurantand the place being enclosed thus a little noisy.

This relaxed space is a wonderful place for a chilled out breakfast or lunch in town. We had a lovely breakfast roll with thinly sliced pork belly, avocado, fried egg, on a charcoal bun, and the rolled chicken breast with caramelised onion with potato and carrot in a red wine jus. This was matched wonderfully with a nice Riesling.
