Green Yard Cafe - Cafe in Limerick, Ireland
Popped in for lunch and was greeted by some lovely staff. My lunch was gorgeous and the portion was very generous! Dessert was delicious and the staff are well trained in the coffee department too. Highly recommended 😊
Fabulous cafe for lunch. Food was excellent, and the cafe itself had a great atmosphere and was decorated nicely. Staff were attentive even though it was busy when we visited.
Really nice place... great food... Nice coffee ... Nice staff... free safe parking out back... very clean... love the food... simple will go again been here loads... 👍👌
great central location for lunch
Food was amazing. However, service from the woman who seemed to be the manager was very strange got the feeling she didnt want us there and made a face at any request. She took our orders and every course something went wrong and she would have a younger member of staff come an aplogise even though it was clearly her that took the order and made the mistake. Possiblely she was having a bad day but it that was the case then delegate to a more enthusist member of staff. All other staff were great.
Lovely spot for a pint...Great stafd
Really nice lunch😋
Great Coffee good location nice treats and friendly staff. 👌
Nothing wrong with the food at all, had a lovely brownie but the service was awful I’m a type one diabetic who couldn’t find out anything about what I was eating, I felt really uncomfortable as the waitress told me rude things about my condition, then the waitress started smoking behind us and my asthma got really bad.
Very nice staff . Nice food
Lovely food, served by very friendly staff.
Gone really downhill. I had warm goats cheese salad that just looked thrown together, drowned in balsamic dressing. I left nearly all of it behind. My daughter had pancakes with bacon and this was just as bad, bacon was rock hard. Very disappointing and a waste of money. Maybe it was just the time of day but hopefully will improve.
The lady who seated us was so kind, very genuine staff. Very welcoming & friendly
Always a great meal here
One of the best places to eat in Limerick. The foods wholesome- tasty, well-prepared and large portions. An absolute favourite!
Lovely food, well space out and inviting. Friendly helpful staff
A hidden gem, lovely courtyard setting, super service with a smile and a great coffee, the breakfasts looked very tempting
Had a beautiful breakfast there and the coffee was lovely too. Staff were nice and very prompt. Breakfast Burrito is a fine feed
Had a very nice meal spicy tomato soup 😋
A really nice spacious Cafe. Although the price looks on the more expensive side, the portion size more than justifies it! Went for breakfast with GF. Service was initial server wasnt the friendliest but not rude if that makes sense. But server who took our order was very friendly. 😊 Food and overall experience was great!
Top Quality - I searched for ages to try find somewhere in Limerick that does genuinely healthy & tasty food. We were served within 20mins & excellent value too. Their flat white coffee was also very nice - Ill definitely be back.
Fabulous coffee and scone.. Good value and beautifully presented
Food good, but service appallingly poor, waited 20 mins for staff to take our order once seated .Then started clearing the table without waiting till my guest had finished eating staff seemed totally uninterested in serving people. The table beside us were wanting to order desert but no one came back to them to ask did they want any, so they left without some ..hope it improves
This gem of a spot is always so worth a visit. Light bright warm and welcoming with a divine courtyard to sit back and relax in whole enjoying sublime food. The goats cheese salad is to die for and if you are lucky enough to be served by Geraldine, your every whim is catered to with a cheery "no problem" and a blinding smile. A diamond is this lady. 5 stars for sure !
I always love my visits here whether its breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food is always delicious, but what I appreciate more is that even when supremely busy, the staff are consistently personable and friendly, plus are great to recommend if youre torn between choices.
Lovely place to meet with friends outside space too, food beautifully cooked and presented, friendly staff.. good prices...
Lovely, lively, popular. Skip the chowder, otherwise food is delicious.
We had not been there since Covid. And what a fantastic experience. Everything is done so well there and all procedures are adhered to. And the food is still so good. I had the Thai Green Curry & my friend had the goats cheese with beetroot & pear. Both absolutely delicious. And what great service & Staff
Really tasty food. Breakfast menu good value but no place for the reliable fry. You have to build it all separately
Excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly and cheerful. Will definitely be back.
Food here is really good, and reasonably priced. Only down side was the wait, but this is more to do with the lack of staff numbers in ratio to the amount of customers that are there during the busy period at lunch time.
Very friendly staff, food was very tasty. I had the breakfast burrito and coffee. Tables are spaced out well and the overall atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing.
Great food great staff great service.
tapas prices a tad too high ..some have only one item eg falafel, which isnt great any way, other tapas tried were lovely. No masks and social distancing not adhered to by waiting staff on exterior terrace, dont know about inside..would feel much happier if masks were worn by staff.
Love it love it love it👍fantastic food. Friendly busy place. Great for breakfast 🥞but probably should book in advance at the weekend.Evening menu delish too. Would really recommend to anyone.
Lovely cafe. But prices are high considering whats on the menu. Its a prime location for cheap quick bite to eat only thing not so expensive and reasonable was the soup. No sandwiches etc on offer
Gorgeous coffee and friendly staff especially Monica and Anne who always go above and beyond to give the best service. Consistently good coffee and the chicken wings are some of the best I ever had. Highly reccomend the Green yard especially the staff. You wont be dissapointed And although busy at times it is definitely worth the wait!
Really enjoyed my time at the greenyard. Very friendly and accommodating staff who were able to serve us out in their garden on such a sunny day. Gluten free and vegetarian options with a varied menu. Also linked with punches bar next door if you are that way inclined. Would highly recommend a visit here. While the lunch menu is amazing the breakfast pancakes are to die for.
Fantastic food .the place was packed for lunch so had to wait for a table.staff were very helpful and friendly. The decor fantastic. I would highly recommend going there.
Lovely food, consistently good with a great range of options. Really pleasant accommodating staff. Wheelchair accessible. Its our weekly family treat on Sunday morning
Highly recommended. I had the best prawn curry ever and my dauggter had a very tasty burger & chips, the desserts were delicious also. My daughter and I had twin babies (9 months with us and we were made very welcome. We will certainly be returning.
Amazing Food great value and staff, give the specials a try.Very friendly environment. Will be back
This place was fabulous! Had the most delicious Irish breakfast, tried black and white pudding that the staff helped to reccomend. Everyone there was very friendly and accommodating, would definitely reccomend to anyone in the area.
A limited range of options available. Asked for a club Sandwhich and was told they to "look at menu again and youll see we dont do them" ordered a Ham and cheese toastie that came out with no Ham.The manger/waitress that served me was not only extremely rude but also arrogant in her dealings with the people at our table. My best advice would be avoid at all costs.
This place is FANTASTIC!!!! Absolutely delicious food, great choices- variations available with almost every item. The best curry, wonderful eggs Benedict, great service, friendly staff, efficient, comfortable seats. I just can’t say enough good about them.
Came here on a work Christmas party and I loved it. The atmosphere is so different to any of the other Limerick restaurants and it has given Punches Cross a nice breathe of new life. Hidden away, this establishment presented delicious food and wonderful service. The set menu had a variety for everyone and the drink menu was perfect, along with correctly made drinks. Will definitely return, even if its just for lunch
This cafe is a little outside the center of town but still within 5 mins driving distance & has ample parking. Funky modern decor, chilled atmosphere, staff were so nice and most importantly the food was delish. Im quite picky with my food. Was here for breckie and wanted to keep it healthy and was quite impressed! Would definitely recommend a visit. I will be back for lunch next time Im in Limerick!
The shame about this place is the food is actually quite nice but the service is atrocious. It seems to be just students that are dropped into the job with no training. I have been here a total of five times with my partner and each time there has been something. Dirty glasses with lipstick on them, forgetful service, one time the waitress was lowering the plate and the food slid off onto the table! Not only that but she then tried to pick it up with her fingers! Another time our toast was dropped on the floor. And for the ultimate topping on the cake, we went for breakfast the last time and the waitress (who by the way I did feel sorry forspilled a glass of orange juice all down my partners back and into her handbag while also destroying a brand new jacket. Its actually quite laughable now looking back at it as it just seems like that we are never meant to be there. I cant believe people are here saying the service is good. Its one thing for a person to make a mistake but for it to happen every single time? I gave 2 because I believe the chefs are pretty good and so is the food. The management could take a bit more responsibility for the staff. Obviously never setting foot here again. I
Great cafe. Good quality ingredients, well prepared, fairly priced. Service is very good also. Shame it doesnt open earlier as its the only decent place in the area for coffee. Speaking of which, the milk is slightly oversteamed but Im a bit of a coffee snob in that regard. A great addition to Limerick
Fresh , fast , friendly, fantastic new eating experience in cool surroundings.
