European fare, wines & afternoon tea in a sprawling setting with a courtyard & separate lounge.
Food was pretty good, blue crab dip is definitely something I would recommend, especially paired with the butter n bread. Scallops came out a bit under, and were extremely bitter, so that was disappointing. Dessert was delicious with chocolate cake and chocolate mousse. Drinks were really well made. Overall good experience but Print Works is a notch above.
Good experience. We had Turkish flatbread and pork sliders. Both were okay. Our truffle fries were good but a little overcooked. Im not a fan of the set up where you have to ask for bread if you want some, but nevertheless it was the and the butter was delicious. The place is absolutely gorgeous. We sat outside and next time we will try inside. Classical music played in WCs, love it.
Always greeted warmly by staff and escorted to our table. Both my friend and I ordered the grilled chicken salad.Salad ingredients were fresh and chicken grilled just right.Very tasty.
We ordered the cauliflower app and the Parmesan crusted chicken and scallops for our 2 entrees. The cauliflower was shockingly flavorless. Other than a hint of cumin, it was void of flavor. I was shocked that a cauliflower app could be that bad. The scallops were cooked well but the dish was bland, at best. Definitely not worth the price. The chicken dish had the most flavor and was satisfying, although the mashed potatoes had a weird consistency. Both entrees were served luke warm, which didnt help. The atmosphere was nice, but the food was so disappointing that I wouldnt take a chance dining there again. It was, overall, a waste of money.
Everything in the menu is great. Second time here for Brunch. The bar is full but have been able to get seats (lucky me). Jared, the bartender, outstanding customer service. The coffee cakes are delicious as well as the Quiche. Very fresh food. Thr rustic toast is heavenly.
Dined at the bar. Artwork on every wall! An elegant selection of Single Malts. Bartenders are friendly and efficient. The short rib sliders with truffled fries are just amazing. The GVG breakfast is also very tasty and satisfying. If youre in Greensboro, dine here!
A must visit restaurant if you are around. We had the Mediterranean tapas and the special for that day. Yum!
This was our second trip to Green Valley Grill. Two anniversary dinners in a row and again it was worth the trip! Our server was phenomenal in his attention to details as well as informing us about the menu and wine choices. And the food...OH MY! Never disappoints! I recommend the blue crab and spinach dip for sure! Amazing experience again and we will definitely be back! Hopefully not wait another year this time.
One of the best more consistently great restaurants in Greensboro. They change their menu every so often so its never the same.Their Bourbon, wine and overall bar selections are good. The staff is always friendly.
One of our favorite restaurants in Greensboro! Very upscale and classy. The food is exceptional, especially the burrata cheese small plate and blackened grouper. Service is great. We highly recommend this restaurant for an upscale date night out!
Food and staff was amazing. I sat down for a quick lunch and that’s exactly what I got. The environment was beautiful and the staff was incredibly nice and attentive. Now.. on to the food! It was absolutely amazing! I was so full but couldn’t wait to have another bite. I will be a returning customer!
So amazing! Potato leek soup was out of this world. Great service. I’m gluten free and they waitress was sick kind and helpful. Even brought me amazing herb gluten free bread that made my day =gorgeous space as well. Soaring ceilings and a historical feel, everything feels fancy and classy. A treat!
I’ve visited this location a couple of times prior to my visit today. I surprised my husband with breakfast and I am so happy I decided to go with GVG. From the moment we walked in, the hostess greeted us with a kind genuine smile and showed us to our seat. Our waitress Hannah was so precious, she was kind and attentive as well. Our food was wonderfully made, and presented beautifully. I enjoyed every bite. The atmosphere was lovely, and the seating was appropriate. Hubby and I will definitely be back.
I had the opportunity to help my co/ worker and friends celebrate her birthday on July 1 2022. With the party of12 ladies. The waiter took our orders. We told him how we wanted our food cooked.. When I received my burger and cut into it. It was red.. I called for to look at it. He then looked at his order list. And took it back. Shortly they bought me another burger. It was still some red showing again.. They offer to prepare me another one. But I declined. Because half of the party was almost finished eating and I had another event to attend. And I didnt want to be late. 3 people from the party food was cooked the way that they acted. One person sent her food back. But the other 2 just didnt bother with it. It just was a bad experience for me. My thoughts was that they could have made sure my burger was cooked well done before they bought it out to me..
My wife and I went around our anniversary to celebrate, though we just went for tea and not a full meal. Our local news station featured the afternoon tea service and we really wanted to try it. Well, I made reservations but I guess I didnt ask the right questions and made a lunch reservation. Tea service starts at 2:00, we got there at 12:00. Our server got Megan to help us. She made our trip an amazing experience. The staff were all very friendly, the atmosphere is very relaxing, the food was perfect. What else can I say?Well definitely be back (for tea and lunchand will definitely recommend the trip to GVG to anyone.
Visited here with my sister-in-law for brunch. 1st time for me. Love the atmosphere. We sat outside and service was quick. Everything we had was delicious accept for the tuna. It was a little too fishy for my taste. Calamari presentation was different from what Im used to but really tasty. Overall, I really enjoyed my dining experience.
What a beautiful place. I didnt want to leave. The food was great and delicious too. Big portions! Only downside - packed with black pepper, which I cant stand. But I dont think it is possible to take out of the dish.
1st time here. Everything we ordered was fantastic.Server was a complete miss. Drinks, order, and thats it.Definitely coming back, Definitely hoping not to get the same server.
Always a lovely visit. I expect to receive excellent service and quality tasty foods. I am never disappointed and for that l truly thank you. Nowadays some businesses have poor service and cheap greasy tasteless unhealthy foods. But not Green Valley Grill, which keeps giving a quality dining experience in every way!
This was my first time there it was nice the food was good I really enjoyed it
Wonderful place for a late lunch. We had lots of tasty stuff and dessert. Definitely a must try place of Greensboro
Our dinner tonight was so incredibly good I had to stop and write a review. We ordered curbside and it was easy and fast, but THE FOOD. I got the warm farro salmon salad and it was the best meal I have had in a very long time. The flavor combo was inventive and so delicious. My wife got the parmigiana crusted chicken and it was crispy and flavorful. Both dishes were winners. I figured the chocolate cake wouldn’t be able to keep up and was pleasantly wrong. It too was delicious. Well done GVG. We will definitely be back soon.
I can honestly say that Green Valley Grill has the best service out of all QW restaurants in Greensboro. The staff is friendly, professional and thoughtful. Unfortunately, Green Valley Grill has the worst menu items and food quality than Print Works and Lucky 32. My Parmesan Crusted Chicken arrived to my table not even slightly warm & the potatoes lack a luscious look and taste. The desert menu hasn’t changed in 10 years, and is lackluster. Do Better!!!
Our Mother’s Day Brunch here was exceptional! Martin was able to answer our questions and Morgan spoiled us with her superb service and attention to detail. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. And the music was a nice touch! Thanks for everything and we will we be back!
Make a reservation, especially for a group! This place did look rather busy, even for an early dinner on a Saturday for example. The filet mignon steak I had was delicious, and the 2nd wine we tried was awesome. The desert was very good and a large enough portion to share. The first wine we tried wasnt bad per se, but we realized after just getting something off their wine menu without advice, that we should do some quick research on what each of wines was like, because sadly our waitress only knew their wine menu as a series of numbers to order by, with no insight on even some general differences between their wide range of wine options. Otherwise great experience, still worth 5 stars!
Had a wonderful anniversary dinner here. The food was extraordinary, great vegetarian selection (I actually had a hard time decidingand hubby enjoyed the coffee crusted filet very much!Wonderful wine selection. We had a great time pairing with each course and our server, Zac, was extremely attentive and interactive.Enjoyed it so much we are talking about going back for brunch Sunday. I would give it a 6 if that rating was available.
Made reservations for Easter Sunday, arrived at our reserved time and was immediately seated. Service was great-very attentive and made great recommendations. We had the burger and chicken salad croissant and split both and neither disappointed. I’m new to the area, but GVG will definitely be high on my list to go back!
26 yr anniversary dinner. Did not disappoint! We were able to make a reservation. Greeted with a happy anniversary and a great server Jacob. He gave us all the information we needed to make our decisions for apps and dinner. I got the lamb chops (cooked perfectlywith strawberry/mint puree with roasted potatoes (seasoned to die for)and broccoli. My hubby got the beef short rib with mashed. We shared our ceasar salad and started with a shrimp app. When i say everything was great believe me it was. New go to!
The wine, service and atmosphere were all wonderful, but unfortunately the food wasnt really that good. All of the seafood we ordered tasted bland, as though they had been frozen, and both sauces tasted like they were from a jar and quickly heated. The truffle fries and short rib sliders were okay, not bad but nothing special which was disappointing. The creme brulee was texturally off. Nothing was inedible, but it wasnt what we expected given the reviews and prices.
Customer service and food was amazing. I highly recommend their brunch.
Honestly I’ve had better experiences there. The pasta was alright nothing breath taking, the portion was oddly not that big and also considering it’s price. The short rib sliders weren’t the greatest kind of bland and needed more of the onion jam on them.I expected better service from green valley grill. I only got like 2 refills, and our waitress never told us if we could switch the pasta after I asked. It’s ok though the meal was still enjoyable, but seems as if the food and service has gone down.
One of the best trail in the Greensboro area. You can only golf, tennis, pickleball and volleyball. There is sweaming pool there. There are different types of trail here. Pyvment trails, wood trails and specially wood trail for bikes. You can find small, loop and long trails here for varity types of outdoor actitvites. Also, there some decks for fishing. Some shelter with restroom and park grills are available. Some kids playground are close to the shelters.
Hard to describe how excellent the steak tips were. Atmosphere and Service is 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Amazing service and fantastic food! Had the shrimp pasta and lamb. Will definitely be back.
Came here for breakfast. Food was in large portions, worth the price and super flavorful. Staff was very kind as well! Gave a recommendation, our cups were never empty. Would love to come again for dinner sometime
Would definitely come here again and again. Service and food were both exceptional. Make sure to try the creme bruleè.
This is a great place with good choices. Price points are good since portions are large. Service great. Love rustic look, high ceilings and classical music choice. I have been there for breakfast, lunch, dinner and loved every single time.
This is co-located at the OHenry, and is a great spot in Greensboro. We enjoyed the calamari, crab dip, and Mediterranean sampler for the table as apps, and everyone seemed to like the entrees. I can recommend the scallops (love black rice). We tried most of the desserts, and those all got great ratings; my favorite was the frozen nutty Irishman. Strong recommend for service. Fairly quiet for conversation, even though it was a busy Friday night. I found it really interesting that this restaurant is employee-owned. It seems to make a key difference.
My first time visiting and I was not disappointed. Luckily I had made reservations. Highly recommend you do so. The wait staff were very welcoming and attentive. We had the Blackberry Basil Margarita. It was fresh and light. We started off with the blue crab and spinach dip. The taste was so smooth and rich. It is my new favorite crab dip. Then we both shared two dishes. The braised short rib sliders. Two sliders with caramelized onion and truffle fries. The beef was tender and full of flavor. The second dish was the Apple Smoked Bacon Flatbread. This was my favorite dish. Flat read was soft, then the brie and sweetness of the honey against the bacon was so pleasing to the taste buds. Would definitely recommend this place and we will be back.
Every dish was lovely and the staff and our waitress was very polite and welcoming. The prices are great and I definitely will return soon.
The server was decent but the food was trash. The wine was yummy and sweet. The scallops tasted old and rancid. The waiter understood and brought me the short ribs. I also did receive a cranberry sorbet for dessert that was both very tart and overly sweet at the same time. I’m still not sure how Print Works and this restaurant are in the same company.
I love the atmosphere here! The service was amazing! Our server Tay gave some great recommendations on a few of his favorites. He was very helpful and accommodating. Drinks for 2, an appetizer, 2 entrees was about $90. Food was okay! Ive ate here before and everything was delicious. Overall, I personally enjoyed my dinner.
Great food, great service. The Green Valley Grill is superb! Had their salmon, and creme brûlée for dessert. Also there frozen nutty Irishmen.
Tried a salmon salad to-go today, unfortunately didn’t have time to sit down get the full experience but when I come back I’ll update. The host was very friendly but they forgot the utensils she asked me if I needed while placing my order. Nonetheless, the Caesar salad was very good, and the salmon was cooked to perfection. I cannot wait to dine in.
A staff run restaurant. Amazing ambience. Great food and friendly staff.P.S. If you care, please do dress up for the place. Me and my bunch of friends felt that we were out of place when we hit the restaurant after a 10 mile hike in the nearby trail. Lol!
Amazing brunch! They’re outdoor patio is full of plants which makes for a nice setting while drinking coffee and enjoying their house made chorizo.
Green Valley Grill is very upscale dining with amazing food choices -- The Parisian crusted chicken is a chefs recommendation -- Of course the filet mignon is always fantastic -- Salmon and pecan crusted trout round out the amazing menu -- Great bar and out door dining area -- Service is outstanding -- Romantic upscale date spot with chill/ondustrial/modern vibe
The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. I had no idea this hidden gem was just a few minutes away from my house. I met a friend here for brunch on a Saturday. Our waiter was so very polite and attentive. My food was not that great but I will definitely come back for lunch or dinner to try one of their other dishes. Would highly recommend this place for a romantic dinner or a special day out with friends.
We went to celebrate our Anniversary and it did not disappoint. Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. The Bruschetta Duo appetizer was a flavor experience. Look forward to visiting again. And, they made Lattes to go with our desserts. Perfect!
My gf and I had a wonderful meal on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We requested a table in the bar area and were granted a large table that had a great view of the outside and bar. Our waitress was Courtney and she provided the most superb service. She made very educated suggestions and described the choices very clearly and visually. We had the bruschetta as an appetizer, and it was so good that I almost order it again. The cocktails were very well crafted and we finished the meal with an excellent peanut butter cheesecake that we devoured. Wonderful experience because of Courtney and GVG.
