Totally worthy to try with reasonable price on lunch set. However, you need to get prepare to wait for 2.5 hours to serve the food, even the set only provides 3 dishes and dessert. They are just way tooooo slow.......

A good place to try French food. Nice ambience and good collection of wine. Go for the lunch set, which have either two or three course. Depending on what you ordered, some are hits and some may missed. The combination I got is pretty good combination, which consists of the three small soups, spice pork and the three tangerine dessert.

It’s was not a french restaurant. It’s a french, Vietnamese “fusion” style restaurant. The food quality was average and the price was affordable. nice atmosphere for lunch and dinner.

Very beautiful building and nice food. But the waitress attitude was cold and emotionless (guess maybe was the manager? She was wearing white blouse.After we left the restaurant, my friend told me she saw the lady stood behind us with her impatient face all the way and quickly took the tipping away since she saw me tipping 100k. The best restaurant I met in Hanoi. The price was a bit higher than other restaurants in Hanoi but it seemed very fair for its quality. The service was awesome. English available. Online book system available. Food in classic French style. My meal was duck breast. It was in plate with the sauce of raspberry and passion fruit. The most surprising thing is that the potato in the plate. It was cooked with passion fruit. That made a dish with a whole story. The other meal was steak. It was also dressed with great sauce. The most content part was the dessert. It was like an elegant painting. Love this atmosphere, service, and the experience. Recommended for people visiting Hanoi.

French fusion with Vietnamese food was what was described to me; and they have done it pretty well. Definitely highly recommended to give it a try, this is the sister restaurant to the high end French fine dining of The Clover at Ngoc Thuy but at a fraction of the price, will go back to try some other dishes next time I’m in Hanoi

Fair enough for the price of lunch set menu. The raw beef is excellent, but the duck has gamy smell and doesn’t taste like the usual duck meat...almost couldn’t finish the plate.Starter was better, zucchini flower somehow has been cooked like carrots, seafood tart is ok. Dessert of frozen yogurt in the iced tangerine is special in display but not in taste.Wine selection is wide, but the serving is bad! Hanoi has high temperature around 30 degrees in this season, and the wine is served at room temperature...totally ruined the Merlot. Suggest the restaurant to reserve and reserve the wine in proper temperature for good condition.Overall, if you are looking for a nice place for a break, this is acceptable for lunch price. If you are after real French cuisine, this might fail you.

One of my favorite resturant in Hanoi serving amazing French food. It has a beautiful courtyard. I went there in December which was 17 degrees Celsius - nice cool evening to sit at the courtyard , have a glass of wine and enjoy the food..I recommend you order the set dinner as its worth it. Go early as it runs out quickly and you can only ala carte

Came here with high hope as everyone says its so good. Well this place is a bit hit and miss. Depends on your luck of the day that you might actually order something nice, such as the crab appetiser and rabbit for main. I ordered the 3 colour & flavours soup which is just plan weird. They told you to drink the soup layer by layer but the middle layer has no flavour adn bottom layer which is the red wine onion is way too pungent. My main was the duck breast which I ordered medium but it was medium well and due to its thick cut its chewy and not enough salt. Again, hit and miss and wish you luck .However the ambience is very nice. The house is pretty and warm. Service is also good. As I wasnt happy with my main they deducted it completely from the bill which is very rare to see in Asia.

It is hard to find this kind of restaurant in Vietnam.But this one is and amazing place with amazing food.Nothing similar you will find around.Is a fusion cuisine restaurant and very cheap.

Food is very interesting. Setting is calm and very top notch. However, the service could be better as servers are not very friendly and inconsistent with their service. Some food brought to you may be explained while some may not. All in all, a good place for French food in the Old Quarter. Price is on the high side but this is to be expected.

Charming spot in the middle of the bustling city. Got lured in here by a free cocktail and the promise of being able to pay with credit card. European food with sort-of-european prices and better quality ingredients. I paid less than 500k for a main dish and a soda (and of course, the free cocktail). Very much worth it considering the quality service and ambience.

Beautiful setting and great wine list but the food does let it down. Although nicely presented, the food was mostly bland. We had the set lunch, starter and a main; fish under choux pastry (which went soggy), the wasabi cream in the top choux could have been a lovely touch if it made more of the wasabi, however, there was only a hint. Then stuffed squid with potatoes. The squid was a bit tough but it was probably the best dish. The fish lasagne was also bland. It had flavoured creams on top; parmesan, raspberry and something green. Nice idea but these didnt do much for the dish IMO. It was good value though, in a lovely setting as mentioned. Go without high expectations of the food and you might enjoy it. Food quality is major priority for me so I wasnt impressed.

Incredible French restaurant in a lovely colonial alcove. Go at lunch time for exceptional value, $15 for three course meal, better than many Michelin start $100/head fine dining restaurants. Highlights were the sea bass and the mango dessert.

Escoffier would weep, pretty but the chefs are definitely not trained French classic. Street food is far superior and much better value. Only come here if youre craving wine which they have a decent list of

Food was good and servers were friendly but portion was a little small. I suppose it’s a posh place so it’s posh portions. Go there for the taste not the amount of food. It was 295 for lunch set of starter + main. Try it anyway. You’re in Vietnam, so why not.

Not so good overall. Pretty restaurant and plating is beautiful, but the flavors are not matching to the presentation. We ordered the lunch set and you can order a starter, main course and dessert. The duck filet was the worst... too thick and overcooked. It comes with the turnip which is bitter. The beef carpacio is good. The waitress recommended the pho bo salad but I would rather get real pho bo on the street. The raw salmon and seafood bun were good for starters. Dessert was not that good. Lemongrass cake was hard and the serbert was sour. Creme brulee was a little better... Cute place but food was not my favorite.

Right smack in the bustling touristy area of Hanoi, Green tangerine was one of the most highly rated french restaurant. I personally love french food, so I was really looking forward to this dinner. And honestly, I don’t think it’s worth the price.I spent about USD80 for 2 cocktails, 2 mains, 1 dessert.I get it if the “taste” of a food is not “to one’s liking”. But the food was prepared in such a half hearted manner.I had the pigeon - and right in the centre was a “basket” of broccoli crumbs. Yes. Not even the whole broccoli. And worse still, when I ate it: I realized it was just blanched and not even seasoned with salt or pepper. No sauce was given. It was put in this edible “basket” like a cracker and more cracker bits were stuck around. They were not even crunchy - air had gotten in.Service - horrible. The manager / host looked like a bouncer. Super fierce. When he took our order, we asked him what was in a cocktail, he didn’t know and had to ask someone else.My friend had beef which was “alright”. Passable but honestly, we can get a lot better in value elsewhere.All in all, I’d say ... disappointing. :/ not worth a visit in my opinion.

Way too overpriced for what it is. Ordered the Vietnamese set and it was barely acceptable. Had to send back the spring rolls since it was dripping with oil. The beef had the texture of boiled rubber. The tamarind fish and the other dishes in the set were just alright. Staff was also one of the most uninterested I’ve come across in Hanoi yet. Overall, just stay away if you can. The premises are beautiful beyond doubt, unfortunately the food itself is a major let down. I’ve had better tasting food in Hanoi for one tenth of the price. It’s not worth the hype.

What an awesome place to go for lunch or dinner !if i could i will put 10 stars ! it is old colonial house from 1928 transformed into a restaurant with 1 floor.Everything has been decorated in a very charming way with a touch of French tradition.We went there for my birthday with no reservation but they found us a very nice table,the restaurant was full ! they have a nice range of Franco-vietnamese dishes and they are all excellent feom.start to finish.You should try the lam it is so delicate tastzle.They also have a large choice of French and around the worldwine. As a French couple we took a cheese platter and it was delicious.The service is very pro amd excellent.A must try in Hanoi for a fine evening !i definitily recommend to this beautiful place.

Pricey and mediocre.. much better food and value for money on the streets of Hanoi.. rather have at Bia Hoi.. but if youre into french cuisine, can make a visit here.. its most convenient for those staying in Hoan Kiem district

I really love this restaurant. It offers very good Western Food at reasonable price, located right in the centre of Hanoi in an old style building.They offer competitive set lunch at VND275,000 for 2 choices (starter, main course or dessertor VND315,000 for full course.I have introduced this restaurant to many friends and everyone love it.

Dishes are delicious with big portions as French cuisine. The handmade foie gras in 3 layers with different textures and tastes. Lamb ribs also taste amazing. And duck breast carpaccio taste good too.

The building is lovely and the service is fine. However, the food is very very odd. Looks weird and tastes even weirder. Maybe we were just unlucky with our choices, as some of the meat dishes looked ok.

They have very delicious french food with Vietnamese ingredients. I ordered the amuse bouch, and fois gras, duck we had was sublime. We added the eggplants and the cat fish (Cha Qua), and we can’t decide which was better dish because each was made very well.The restaurant is also quaint, and definitely a very pleasant restaurant to spend time in.The staff are very attentive and polite.

We had lunch here and were able to walk right in at 12 noon and get a table inside. We went with the set menu and spent $45 US on an amazingly delicious meal. The dishes looked amazing, the wait staff were very professional and friendly and the presentation outstanding. Highly recommend if you are looking for update eating in a class 1925 building with indoor and outdoor seating.

Very nice environment, waiter/waitress are helpful and nice. My first French dinner, taste a bit too strong for me, my pork is salty. Nice experience after all.

A quaint, french-vietnamese restaurant. Wonderful and attentive service, fantastic food. Went for a 3 course set lunch with my family when we visited the Old Quarter area of Hanoi. It has a beautiful courtyard leading up to the indoor restaurant which has a pleasant, quiet atmosphere. Highly recommend for families and couples looking for a fine dining experience.

A delicious blend of French and Vietnamese cuisine. Romantic atmosphere in a beautiful old colonial house. Very inventive flavours. Some dishes could use a finer execution, but otherwise very delicious food. Their prix fixe lunch menu is well worth it!

We were underwhelmed by its great reputation. Despite the excellent service, cosy interior and great wine list, the experience was let down by the disappointing amuse bouche and curious 333 soup. Though the caramelized pork was acceptable, all in all, for these prices, Id go somewhere else in Hanoi.

Ab Fab! It wasnt cheap but we had the traditional Vietnamese banquet. A wonderful range of tasty dishes and served elegantly too. Thisll be the first place well come to when we come back to Hanoi!
