Green Goat in Round Lake

This spot is the one I always prefer. I visit a lot of restaurants but to this one I go the most. The team is very chummy and the cooking they serve is so fresh and tasty. I would always prefer to have a nice dinner in this restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

Nice little spot in Wauconda. I had the roast beef sandwich on French bread. It had two slices of provolone on top and carmelized onions. It was a solid choice. My wife had the falafel sandwich that comes on a pita, its her favorite sandwich in the world for right now. Its not expensive, the staff is nice and they have some nice outdoor seating. I definitely recommend it, but the food didnt blow me away.

Perfect Cobb salad with expertly prepared salmon, I wasnt sure which was the main course, both were equally delicious. The food was served straight to the table from the counter too, great touch! Thanks for lunch!!

Expensive is the only issue with this place. But, you get what you pay for. The quality is above and beyond. All their food is great. The staff cares about their clientele.

I literally get the same BLT Sandwich every time & its really good. I also tried their white bean and sausage soup, it was great!

The spicy Kimchi salad was really good but I felt fooled by their "grilled" sourdough it seemed more like a stale piece of bread than grilled or toasted not one mark or sign of browning on the bread whatsoever. I was also told the Turkey BLT was a hot sandwich. Warm bread and pre cooked bacon doesnt turn cold Turkey intiba hot sandwich. You cannot tell the difference between the sourdough and a piece of white toast. Nothing special about the sandwich and very misleading choice of words to describe the bread. You guys need to at least toast the bread it was as if you were to put it on the 1 setting on your toaster for 5 seconds just warm it up if even that.

We were looking for a place to have a nice lunch....but instead we just had mediocre, overpriced food. The tomato barley soup was bland & the turkey avocado sandwich was too much bread & not enough meat. I wont be back. The place has potential but needs to rethink a lot of things.

Green goat has fresh ingredients from salads, Sandwiches and smoothies. They offer outdoor seating by their garden in the back and seating in the front overlooking beautiful downtown Wauconda.

There are many great eateries in Wauconda, but this is a much welcomed addition.. The food, staff and space are perfect! Planning on canceling my weekly Blue Apron order and plan on coming to The Green Goat a few times a week instead! Great job guys. Absolutely love it!

I loved the vibe at the Green Goat. The rustic decor perfectly matched the relaxed atmosphere and the fresh options on the menu. I tried the namesake Green Goat sandwich and I was impressed not only with the freshness of the ingredients, but also with the quantity that were used. Goat cheese isnt very inexpensive, but my sandwich had a generous portion of it. I also tried the berry smoothie which was much tastier than I expected given the ingredients. I would definitely stop by the green goat again!

Excellent spot for lunch. The sandwiches really hit the spot, and the soups are fantastic! The last time I went I had the Green Goat sandwich and a cup of Stuffed Cabbage Soup. The flavors were perfect and the service was fast and friendly as usual!

Good food but just a little bit pricey for what it is. Also one time when it was supposed to be open but it was still locked up and closed, not a holiday or anything so no idea why.
