This brunch trio crafts quirky fare with herbs from a rooftop garden & goods from local merchants.
This place is excellent. Everything thatComes out of the kitchen is beautiful and tastes equally as good. Great service; huge portions and great prices!
The breakfast menu is fantastic, I always get something different when I go here. The Kitchen Sink skillet is one of my favorites, would recommend if youre looking for a hearty breakfast. One thing to keep in mind is they dont take reservations but they fill up quick. Be prepared to wait a while if youre going at peak hours, and make sure to keep everyone together as they only sit full parties.
Cash only is stupid. If it hadnt been for my friend having an ATM card with him, I would have turned around and walked back out.
Awful experience. Service was super slow, we never received napkins or silverware, they gave our 10yo daughter coffee when she ordered iced tea (which we didnt realize until she said it tasted weird and I tried it), and the food (once it finally camewas mediocre at best. I hate to give bad reviews, especially when weve always heard great things... but dont think well be back. ☹️
Delicious. Of course I couldnt eat it all. I also had a side of bacon. My total was $27 and some change. I ate outside because it was a lil chilly on the inside (air was onthe seats were leaning due to the street being unleveled. That, was annoying.
This place was good, not great. Wow on the plate, but not in the mouth. The atmosphere was quality. They quickly accommodated our larger group, and our waiter was friendly and fun! The menu was super creative and interesting, but unfortunately, most of us felt like the execution left something to be desired. The food was showy and fun and attractive but the taste didn’t live up to that. FYI, they are cash only, but have an ATM inside that doesn’t have an exorbitant fee!
The food was large in quantity, but lacked quality. The grits were loose and tasteless. The shrimp were overcooked. And...If youre looking for good customer service, this probably isnt the place for you. Even though there were plenty of people at the front door , no one acknowledged me until they felt like it. They werent short staffed on waitresses, but mine took a long time to take my order, bring the food, then bring the check. Even though it wasnt the best experience, Im willing to try another location.
I got Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese, Carrot Cake French Toast & Coconut Cream Latte.Already been here many time and always excited with their food especially their "weekly special".Kinda expensive but i dont mind to pay more for a delicious food.
Food was excellent.. Super Fantabulous.. our server was awesome
Shrimp and grits were delicious. My granddaughter had the apple pie French toast. She said it was amazing. We both had the Ricky Smoothie. Refreshing.
My mother and I come from Delaware just to have the creme bruele french toast. It is to die for. I crave it, regularly. This time the bread was luke warm at best and their didnt seem to be as much of the delightful creme as I am used to. Our waitress was attentive and had a fun personality. Initially I wanted to eat outside but at this location it kind of feels like you’re on the street or they had these outdoor manmade table huts but they were not leveled. The tables appeared slanted, and i cant eat on a sloped table. Lol. So we ate inside.
I had Apple pie French toast and it was delightful. My accomplice had Eggs Benedict with seared potatoes (with belled pepper and onions). The eggs were perfect. The place is good and I probably recommend this to my peers.
This is my second time eating at this restaurant first time for this location. Ive eaten at the other lication and it was awesome the atmosphere here just wasnt good. The waitresses werent really welcoming. I would definitely return back to the other location ive been to the next time. On the bright side the food was good and they have great portions with great prices. You definitely get your monies worth.
Incredible menu! Our first breakfast on our 2 week vacation from the UK and this was a hit. Chicken Waffle Eggs Benedict awesome and the Philly Philly Benedict was delicious too (if a bit salty). Washed down with lovely coffee, OJ and a Berry juice. Staff excellent. Highly recommended.
At one point this place was rated a 5 in my book but those days are in the past. My family was placed next to the bathroom literally. I guess that is where children under 10 are placed. Heard every noise and smell that came out of the bathroom. The food was not as amazing as it once was, no longer on my list of recommended places. To the owners good luck hope you guys turn it around.
The service, the food, the portions, all outstanding. A MUST visit. I will be back!
Really nice breakfast place! Great service (thanks), good cappuccino! I had apple pie French toast and it was delicious (5 stars!). My partner had Eggs Benedict with fried potatoes (with belled pepper & onions). The eggs were great, the potatoes unfortunately bad (3 stars only)! They appeared old as if warmed up from the day before or kept warm for hours.
The French toast and waffles are not good to me, the grits were fine and the shrimp in the shrimp and grits were amazing. Our serving was amazing the drinks were great and the atmosphere in the outside seating area was lovely. Sucks that they are cash only but there is an ATM inside the restaurant
Really awesome and creative menu! I had the cookie dough french toast and it was amazing, I definitely want to come back and try the red velvet waffles. The prices for food and drinks are very reasonable however they are cash only, so keep that in mind before you visit (they have an ATM though).
Excellent. In every way. Service was great. Refreshing atmosphere. Fantastic food. I had the "Kitchen Sink". Do yourself a favor and let them put that biscuit and gravy on top! "The Salted Caramel Banana Stuffed French Toast" was incredible. The only negative is that it is CASH ONLY. They have an ATM machine inside. Go eat here!
Short 15 minute wait for a Sunday brunch and the food was incredible! I don’t come to PA often but when I do I like to get the scrapple. This is probably the best scrapple I’ve had! I also got the kitchen sink skillet and boyyy was that filling and delicious! The gravy over the eggs, sausages, potatoes and biscuit was so flavorful. The only thing to note is that the biscuit is a little on the dry side but the gravy definitely helped out. One other thing to note, this place is cash only
I love this place, hubby surprised me early this freezing mothers day for breakfast. The portions are plentiful and dishes are savory. They know what they are doing in that kitchen! The red velvet pancakes are huge! All the pancakes are huge, but if you would like a small portion of the red velvet jawns, just order the kid size.My favorite thing I had was a special, lemon and blueberry empanadas. Crunchy outside, blueberry cheesecake cake insides and glazed with lemon syrup.😋😋 customer service is always great, the food takes forever but worth it, and dont forget they are CASH ONLY!
They dont take reservations, so plan on a wait. The wait is worth is though. Absolutely amazing food and drinks. They never disappoint.
I wasnt impressed with the chicken & waffles. It was a dry chicken cutlet, & 1/2 of a dry waffle, & NO real maple sryup, so that wasnt what I was expecting. My husband had French toast 😋 which was a huge portion & beautifully presented. Ill order what he had next time.
Tasty food. Great service. Ended up getting chicken and waffles, pork roll, bagels, and the special lemon blueberry empanadas. Delicious. Cash only, but ATM on site.
We arrived and it wasn’t too busy. The hostess was nice. They took our order quickly everything started off perfect…. but here’s where the 1 star comes. Our food took RIDICULOUSLY long. There were only 3 of us. We watched a table of 7 or 8 get their food before us and they arrived roughly 15 minutes after we place our order. It started getting busier and now we’d been waiting over 35-45 minutes as people got their food that arrived after us. So we stopped a waitress and she said it’s going to be five minutes they are waiting on our waffles. So you can only imagine how two minutes later when the food came out how surprised we were it was cold. Cold cold, not even kind of “they had it sitting under a warmer” cold . The waffles we were waiting for were extremely mushy from the sauce they put over the Chicken & waffles, only furthering the already bad experience. Obviously the waffles had been sitting for some time- because theres no way. We decided against sending it back because at this point it was crowded, the waitresses were running around in a frenzy, and we didn’t want to wait another 30-40 minutes for food considering we were from out of town and had to get back on the road. The food was cold. The hot coffee was cold. This was a horrible experience. I’m disappointed, I heard such great things 😔😔
The food will never disappoint! Worth the wait.
The food was delicious, the customer service was excellent, and the portions were great. The spacing was a little tight but comfortable. Definitely going back
This place is amazing my coworker told me about it my fiance and I decide to give it a try. I have been three times since he told me about it ,they have a lot of homemade drinks with real fruits 🍸 😋.
Hands down favorite brunch spotFairly priced for the service, atmosphere and the food itself. Portion sizes are always in need of a to go box.Cant recommend this place enough, its where I take everyone I love! If you go get any of the specials. Theyre all delicious and creative. Crave the seasonal items year round! Cant wait for outdoor seating weather again 💕🥞🤤
I love Green Eggs Cafe so much! I used to come here a lot when I lived closer but it’s still as I remember it! I always get the chicken & waffles Benedict 😋 my favorite kind of eggs Benedict! But everything on the menu is really good!
First time staying in Philadelphia, and we had breakfast here. Its was delicious I would definitely recommend trying this place.
Absolutely delicious. Staff is attentive, friendly, and kind. Enjoyable atmosphere, very yummy drinks, great breakfast food.
I can never go wrong with green eggs. Delicious food, always fresh! Great place to go with friends, family or even alone!
Food was delicious, everything else sucked. Service was terrible, I wasnt sure who was helping our table and we ordered 3 items for 3 people, 2 items were served, then we waited probably 30 minutes for the third item. The cups of water was empty most of the time and no one asked if we wanted more water, and I wasnt sure who to ask because multiple people served our table. The bathroom wasnt clean and was smelly. And after all that they only accepted cash payments only. The only positive thing about the place was the food, it really was good, but like I said, everything else sucked.
This was our first time at this location. There was a 15 minute wait when we arrived. We were seated and ordered the seasonal drinks, apple cider mimosa and a pumpkin brown sugar latte. Both were very good. The food came out about 20 mins later. As always everything was quite tasty. The food here is so flavorful and a great portion size. We ordered apple pie French toast, pecan pie French toast, short rib sandwich with mac and cheese and sides of bacon and sausage.I love. Green Eggs and will continue to come again and again.
It was delicious I ordered the steak and eggs. It was worth what you pay for. I would recommend their smoothies and this meal. Everything was seasoned to perfection, nothing was over cooked. All staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond. I would recommend 100%.
Cash only but they have an ATM on site. Drinks are good and the presentation is excellent. Food is good, but not memorable... I wouldnt eat there on the regular. The pictured meal was kids French toast. It was decently priced but they charge separately for kids drink and food. So every meal comes out over 10$ .
Food was super good, service was subpar, but flies were everywhere! We sat inside and I killed three flies. We told the manager he offered for us to be seated somewhere else but they were in every area.
My Queen birthday is today so I wanted to go somewhere we never been and it dont disappoint at all the food was so good we tip the cooks as well as the server and busboy, portions was nice side I had the upside down pineapple french toast and the Queen had shrimp and grits , we are stuff need to work it off going to dinner tonight...waits staff was great very attentive and they work together .
The great thing about traveling is trying out new eateries. This by far was beyond expectations. The food the food was not only fantastic but beautifully different, and really tasted great. When you try food thats looks and smell good on top of taste, thats a winner
Today the Salted Carmel Banana Stuffed Cream French Toast was amazing as always. The Creole sauce for the Shirmp & Grits was great,. Unfortunately the shrimp were over cooked. The Rosemary potatoes were great. The Chicken & Waffles, Eggs were Good!***This is a Cash Only place***
Food was great. Adding spinach to the home fries is ingenious.. perfect lowkey spot for a nice meal. Outside tables also have torches, in case it gets colder. (Cash only, well it was today, not sure for how long)
Food is amazing, staff is extremely nice and well mannered. Greeted by a very nice gentleman, always with a smile on his face making you feel very welcome. You have to try the cookie dough stuff French toast if you come!!!
My meal was excellent. I went with the short rib sandwich and fries. Everything about it was perfect! Paired perfectly with the mushrooms and sourdough bread! Others in our group got breakfast, I had a few bites and thought it was tasty as well. The breakfast portions are large, beware!Cash only and ATM inside. The lemonade is homemade. Glad we stopped in, it was worth the 45min wait on a Saturday afternoon.
Cash only breakfast spot with plenty of delicious options. Stuffed French toasts, pancakes, grits, omelettes and more!Service is friendly and quick. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
I give this place 4 stars. Because the service was organized and executed very very well. It was also friendly and all around Great. Our server was Alex (Shes great/new & she deserves 5 Starsshe and her co-workers carried the experience. The only reason this isnt 5 stars is because the food was slightly above mediocre. The breakfast burrito was great but the tofu scramble was clearly taken from a package and thrown into a skillet with yellow curry powder and served. They did not squeeze out the water in the tofu by any means. You need to squeeze the water out for 20mins, drain the water and then cook it. Curry powder does not magically make tofu taste good.
One of the greatest things I like about this place is that a cater to my switch up. The first time I visited here, I had the red velvet pancakes. It was bomb!! Now that Im vegan, my options seem to have dwindled down. But they made it work! I had the pecan pie French toast with the vegan scrambled eggs. There was nothing left for the to go box. Amazing!
The food was AMAZING!! Mimosas were the only thing missing. Their Cookie Dough Stuffed French Toast and Créme Brûleè French Toast are a MUST!!!
I absolutely love Green Eggs Cafe! The food is delicious. The portions are large. Great coffee and more. This location is BYOB. The menu has something for everyone. If you forget that its cash only theres an ATM onsite. It gets busy on the weekends. I would suggest going early but if you dont mind waiting go whatever time youd like.
