We first visited the Green Cathedral 40 years ago. Attending a wedding there yesterday brought to mind that visit. Little has changed. The open air setting nestled under towering palms on the sandy shore of Smiths Lake, Tiona is simply beautiful. There is a spiritual serenity enveloping the cathedral that turns ones thoughts to a greater presence. Travelling north from Sydney, the diversion along Lakes Way from Buladelah to Forster is a rough stretch of road, but well worth a pothole or two if you stand in the Green Cathedral and reflect on your life. Highly recommended.

Such a lovely and tranquil cathedral that is secretive and hidden. Highly recommend you paying a visit if you’re in the area, will only take up 5-10minutes of your time and most definitely worth it

Absolutely stunning spot here that’s tucked away from everyone.I love coming here to watch the sunset or even just to take a breather and relax.I don’t usually see many people here so it’s a relatively quite spot.You could probably swim here as well but I personally don’t think I would.

We were driving by the area and we stopped. Its a very nice spot. The cathedral perfect for ceremonies but, the surroundings are also great for photoshoots.

We have had the great fortune of being married here. A Truly magical area. We recently went back to have a swim in the lake which was soo warm & Salty. We could walk out 100m if we wanted too. Beautiful sun coming through the canopy of the tree forest. Beautiful spot.

A stunning Cathedral and an amazing spot for an outdoor wedding. We were blessed with beautiful weather for our family members wedding day. A truely beautiful day in this magical venue.

Lovely cathedral with a difference - completely outdoor. Beautiful setting. Wish I could be there for Sunday service. Theres a regular 10am Sunday service.
