47-acre botanical garden offering areas devoted to roses, native plants, apples & more, plus events.
Visited with my mom and kid. There was quite the variety, very beautiful. My kid was really into the water fountain. And there was a story time in session too, when we got there, so that was pretty fun.
You have to pick the right season/event to go and feel like it was worth it. I went mid fall and it wasnt worth going. It is also under construction kids park, so look out for updates on that for any trips with kids. It could have been better if they have developed any lake activities and cleaned the lake.
The botanical garden green bay. This large garden sits on the northwestern side of the city. While the surrounding area doesnt seem like much, walking in through the doors will prepare you for the beautiful scenery you can experience once inside. Helpful signs point out genus, names and origin of the plants in the area. From roses, to tulips, melons and herbs a large range are arrayed in glorious stunning vistas. With seasonal events any time of the year (including deep wisconsin wintercan be a great time. Family, kids, and events can be held at this location. This is truly an experience that needs to be added while touring Green Bay, WI, home of the Tundra and Packer football team. Be prepared the prices can get frosty quickly during special seasons and events.
Beautiful, walkable gardens. Its October and there are still lots of flowers blooming.
Everyone was so nice and accommodating when we booked some time for our Wedding Photos. Everything looked absolutely beautiful for the Fall and we got so many amazing shots. It youre on the fence, just book it because you wont be disappointed!
Absolutely beautiful! Educational, & interesting. Well done a beautiful day among natures beauty.
Beautiful garden and great areas created for children play and learn.
Awesome experience 🙂Beautiful displays and grounds!
Absolutely beautiful gardens with a variety of plants and flowers. Well maintained walking trails with about 50% being shaded. Admission was reasonable at $12 per adult. I loved my time here
Great date night, beautiful flowers, the weather was perfect. Apparently there was a concert going on so we did have to park a little bit away and walk, which was fine. But the information for that night started that there was going to be food and drink available for purchase. We walked everywhere and never found food. Not the end of the world, we just came super hungry left early to get food and didnt stay for much of the music.
Wonderful place can get lost in all the twisty turning paths.
The Green Bay Botanical Garden is a lush oasis in an otherwise industrial city. The sizable grounds feature a massive variety of flowers, trees, and other foliage. There are enough plant lined walking trails to get some decent exercise. There is a visitor center with restrooms and a lovely gift shop where admission is collected. The fee for adults was $12.00 on the Sunday we visited. Many quaint and other impressive structures are scattered throughout the park. There is a massive amphitheater too. Currently, a splash pad and kiddie pool are under construction. The place is a must see for garden and nature lovers. Its a wonderful way to usher in the seasons as well. I have two left thumbs (neither one is green), but I definitely enjoyed it enough to go again.
Really enjoy it here! Very excited for the future updates! Favorite spots to play Pokémon Go in Green Bay!
This place is a wonderful place to come to throughout the year. They do different kinds of special events with sculptures, hay rides and Christmas lights. A place that always makes you feel better if you enjoy being outside and viewing flowers/art.
Oh My God! Beautiful place to go. Never seen anything like it. Wish we had something like this back home. So many things to see and not enough time. If you love plants, flowers and beautiful scenery. You definitely need to come here.
We visited last fall and just before Christmas because we love to see the seasonal displays and awesome gardens. Would recommend Garden of Lights as well, but we had a wheelchair user in our party that wasn’t able to get to the wagon ride section because the entrance and walkway area were all muddy, which was a big disappointment. Otherwise the fixed Garden of Lights trail is easy to navigate with a wheelchair, except when your moving to the lower level area, it would probably be easier to go back to the main building and take the elevator down than try to use the steep trail down in Winter.
This is a very beautiful place. The gardens are somewhere you can take your little children, significant other, or anyone who loves nature. Thank you for the beautiful and informative gardens you guys have created.
A very beautiful garden with a wide selection of flowers and neat statues to take flicks by.
Great place to visit. Nice layout, although map is needed so you dont miss anything. Would be good to visit more than once as the flowers bloom at different times. Plan about 2 hours depending how closely you look at flowers. We will definitely go back.
A beautiful botanical garden to visit. I especially enjoyed the large kaleidoscope that used live foliage and blossoms instead of glass beads. It is the most unique kaleidoscope I have seen.
This place is actually very charming. There was a mishap with trying to get a permit to photograph a family there. But the lady at the front desk was super helpful. I never did hear back so I’m not sure what the status is on that. They are very well-kept grounds. Easy to follow. There was three weddings going on when we went so we cannot access all of the areas. Kind of feel like it should be closed if there is weddings. Thinking about getting a membership next year
Great place to visit and explore. It’s a bigger botanical garden than I had expected. Suggestion is to go on a mild summer day, I went during a heatwave and it was dreadful walking around.Has so many variety of plants and details on most of them. During my visit I noticed a lot of wedding venues being prepared. It certainly has the beautiful wedding theme going. It was a one and done deal for anyone looking for a good date activity or you’re just into plants and gardening hardcore.
Disappointed the children’s area was under construction but my grandchildren & I found lots to do after story time. Looking forward to the new improved childrens area.
Great place for walking very peaceful environment..
Nice fairly new gardens. Not very big and seemed like much was under construction or not finished.
Enjoyable place to walk around and spend a few hours. There is lots of variety and it all is very well organized with good signage. Worth visiting multiple times throughout the year to catch different plants blooming.
Definitely not worth the $12 admission price considering the small size of the actual gardens. On top of that, there were two weddings going on that we were not told about before we paid to get in that resulted in us not being able to see some areas of the gardens. If that wasnt bad enough, there were other parts of the garden that were closed because of future additions. We have been to many much nicer botanical gardens that cost less. I would not recommend a visit to this one.
Simply a wonderful experience. Beautiful color arrangements, plant diversity and well maintained paths. Lots of great options of interactive gardens for kids. Easily accessible and clean buildings.
Just got married at the botanical gardens on 5.14.22. Our ceremony was at the Johnson Woodland Garden. I can’t say enough good things about the whole experience! Staff were all so helpful! They made planning very easy. My guests were very impressed with the location, signage, and accommodations. Would definitely recommend getting married here!
We had time to kill before our flight. TripAdvisor had the Botanical Gardens rated as the #1 Traveler Ranked site. I was a little skeptical. It turned out to be a very relaxing, beautiful time. It was lovely to walk around and see all the tulips and other spring flowers popping. You can spend an hour or more just meandering around the property. Highly recommend!
Simply amazing. If youre close enough, absolutely worth a membership. A huge place, could easily spend 1 to 3 hours here depending upon pace. Lots of shaded areas, which is nice on the hot/sunny days. Looking forward to their new additions for 2023.
Beautiful day at Botanical Gardens. The tulips were at peak!! The trails are always lovely to stroll along. Highly recommend coming in spring. This is the first year we came in spring and it was fabulous. It is pretty to come in the summer as well. There is a little bit of construction right now so part of the Gardens are blocked off.
Magnificent Springtime Blooming bulbs, trees, landscapes. Serene, fragrant, artistic gardens of creative imagination and love. Great both for children and adults, especially for anyone with disabilities who can ride scooters throughout the path trails. Best experience of all the botanical gardens I have ever seen.
..Tulips were blooming along with daffodils. Enjoyed very much. Second trip to see it. There was a wedding today adding to the beauty. Daffodils were in bloom on 5.10.22. Tulips probably another week.
Ive only come here for the Christmas lights around the holiday times and would definitely recommend it. Its a short 0.8 mile walk around a loop of beautifully decorated lights. Horse drawn carrage ride for an additional price. Great place to take the kids for a neat experience.
Lot of flowers to see and sculpture to admire. Very much enjoy this place for tranquility and peace of mind. Recommended coming in this morning time where the place was not too busy. Highly commendable.
Beautiful gardens. Smaller than some botanical gardens but still worth it. So happy I got to see the washed ashore exhibit whole it was there. Fun in every season
Beautiful garden and exhibits. This was an unplanned event for my fiancé and myself while our flight was delayed (weekend trip to visit friends crazy wedding). It was perfect way to unwind and just take in the beauty of nature. Very cheap about $10 per adult and we were able to walk around freely and take our time on things we enjoyed more and less on those we didnt, which wasnt very much we didnt like. As a young couple, it was frustrating that parents allowed their kids to run and scream freely but I guess you cant avoid that sometimes and certainly not the gardens fault haha. Anyways, we just sat on a bench for a few and allowed the group to pass us and headed the other direction. Plenty to explore here!
We were at a wedding there. Very beautiful spot. Not many places to sit but thats not why youre there. Butterflies were everywhere and bees buzzing. I would like to come back in the spring.
Quite a unique place the sculptures are pretty cool tons of walking paths and things for the whole family!
Such a beautiful place to walk through. The flowers and grounds are so peaceful. Staff is so friendly and helpful with any questions you have.
A lovely place for a stroll. The gardens have gorgeous lines of site and picturesque views abound. Sites and smells are truly enjoyable. We loved seeing the traveling sculptures from WashedAshore.org. The first couple we saw gave a sense of awe. As we continued, theres sadness creeps in. Definitely worth the visit for both the changing beauty of the gardens and to see the ocean waste sculptures.
Beautiful! Huge place! So much stuff to see. Love the trails. Few small hiking trails. They were busy with weddings today. Super friendly staff and so many different plants. Awesome memory for sure!
Beautiful place to walk and recreate, contemplate sculptures and beautiful flowers. They have a large collection of conifers beautifully displayed in a garden. Awesome.
This is one of the better botanical gardens that I have been to. I really enjoyed the plant variety and the sculptures made of ocean plastic.
Excellent Location with beautiful buildings and amazing grounds! The children’s area was beautiful, along with everything else there! Be sure to check out the Hobit bathroom and bring a book to read if you have the time. Such an amazing location do the pond walk if you can-we saw tons of dragonflies!
Very well kept Garden! The flowers are blooming and the Washed Ashore Art Exhibit is breathtaking. Its an easy walking tour and the staff is very friendly and helpful!
This place is absolutely gorgeous. I could live here. The staff is so sweet and the gardens are shaded and treated for mosquitos, so you can take your time and enjoy everything there is to see and theres A LOT to see!
Beautiful place to go. Mothers are free on Mothers Day. The flowers are gorgeous and they have a different theme each year and different themes for the different seasons
We came yesterday to see the lights. I commend you for requiring masks. Most people were masked. We love bringing our daughters there and hope you do the Lego displays again in the summer sometime! We had a great time there yesterday. Thank you so very much for all your employees hard work to make this all happen.
