Traditional Chinese dishes meet sushi in this strip-mall spot with stone walls & warm lighting.
First time here. The hostess was very nice, we were greeted right away. Nice environment, not very crowded. This was about 7 in the evening. The food was good, I would say in my opinion the serving size was smaller then other Chinese Restaurants I have been to. My granddaughter had the ribs appetizer and it was $10 for 4 pork ribs with not much meat on them. I ordered the green curry with chicken and it was very very spicy to me. They actually let me exchange it for a milder one, Masaman, forgive my spelling, which was delicious, I will come back for that. Our server was excellent. She explained the different curries to us, and even had a trick with the chop sticks so my granddaughter could use them. We had brownie with ice cream for dessert which was great. We will come back
Used to be good Chinese food 4-5 years ago and was a little expensive but not too bad. My wife and I have been ordering the same meal that entire time which has gone from roughly $27 to now costing over $40. We understand that things have gotten more expensive, but the prices are frankly outrageous at this point. Their changing $9 for plain lo mein. Literally noodles and sauce!?Look bottom line its decent Chinese food....but the pricing has gotten outrageous and absolutely unacceptable. Their taking advantage of the pandemic to profit. Costs have NOT gone up that much.Find a different place. There are other places that taste just as good for a much more reasonable price.
As a first time customer I will not be a repeat. At the office on a Friday and decided not to go out my co-worker and I ordered from here. The bill $32.58. He ordered 8 wings, fried rice and crab rangoon, he received 6 wings and burnt crab rangoon no fried rice. I had Lunch order of General Tsos chicken it was just ok, when I called the Manager advised that my co worker was missing items he said he can come pick up and that the chicken wings were the correct amount which was not what he ordered he ordered 8 wings as a restaurant you should help not try to nickel and dime the customer. Most importantly fix the error and make things right with the customer not burden them, heck give a credit to show a good faith gesture.
Great atmosphere and equally tasty food. Very clean.
Went to the restaurant for lunch huge menu with Chinese, Thai and sushi menu available had the triple delight with fried rice. Food was very tasty one thing that was very odd was they charge extra dollars if you request no ice for Thai ice tea or coffee
We keep coming back to Great Wall. Its our neighborhood place for Chinese and Sushi. Weve had great experiences with takeout and dining in. The food tastes a little better than your average Chinese takeout. I enjoyed the variety of sushi and how they add just a touch of topping to some to really bring out the flavor.
Too expensive for this mess. Unless because we got takeout Im not sure. 3 different orders and they sucked. The chicken was TOUGH AS HELL!!!!
Solid 4.5 stars. Food was great. Service was excellent. Cleanliness was as good as a Chinese food place is going to get.
Been going here for many years!Quality food, great staff, very accommadating!
My wife and I love to eat here because of the quality and authenticity of the food. We just moved to the area and have not had one single meal here that we did not absolutely love. All the Chinese is perfectly authentic, as is the Thai and Japanese and its hard to believe that they got it all right in the same place, but they did. We write a lot of reviews on here and we strongly encourage you to give them a try because youll always go back. Also, the prices are modest enough to lend themselves to take out via door dash or similar. We love to dine in, but when we cant, we take out! If you give this place a try, we believe youll be loyal customers just like us. Its just great :)
Chicken Pad Thai was delicious. Restaurant was very clean.
Tasty food and sushi. Delicious Thai tea Also appreciated the clean bathrooms.
Been coming here since I was young. Owner and the other staff are all great and are quick to get to you despite it usually being very busy every time I come. However, since its sushi, its expensive for how little you get. I wouldnt sleep on this place though if youre willing to spend!
Went here on 4/6/22 for the 1st time. OMG food fresh and clean establishment. Had the pad Thai w/shrimp and general Tso chicken - all I can say is delicious. Also got a large soup with shrimp, noodles and vegetables - was extremely delicious as well. Food came out quick and was still fresh when we got home. I will be back to dine in and have sushi next! My new FAV place!
Chicken and shrimp used in fired rice and couple other items was tender and juicy. Food tasted real good too.
This place is amazing, great menu selection, awesome sushi choices and good prices*photo is orange chicken
I’ve recently discovered this very good restaurant near my home and dine here 2 to 3 times a week. The food is consistently delicious whatever you order and the atmosphere is relaxing.
Love their food. Have never been dissapointed except when we didnt get the extra crispy rice for our sizzling rice soup for four.
Excellent customer service. Our server was helpful and personable. Atmosphere is inviting. The food was great.
This place was fantastic I was very surprised by their menu and their offerings. It seemed very authentic and the dine in experience was elegant. Definitely not you takeout Chinese food... This is a sit-down place with food equally as good.
The food is good If they get your order right!.I placed an order and did not receive anything that was ordered. I called the restaurant and the owner refused to do to correct the issue. He wouldnt grant a refund or a credit he said I had to bring the food all the way back to the restaurant so he could see.....
Not gonna lie… we gave up on local Chinese because we couldn’t find a place that met our standards. Tonight I had a craving and found this gem! Seriously, fresh and delicious! The veggie fried rice I think was the best I have ever had. Very impressed
I think that their delivery is pretty good! After waiting for hours on food during covid at other restaurants this place is refreshing! Their food is excellent the employees are kind and helpful! They are on point for the area. I have ordered the Mongolian beef and the house fried rice along with other things and have not been disappointed!
Real chicken underneath the breading. Excellent atmosphere. Sushi was phenomenal. This is my new favorite Chinese spot.
Great Wall never disappoints. The ingredients are fresh & delicious, and the friendly customer service is the icing on the cake. Go...you wont be disappointed!
My son and I found this a great place. Friendly service and great food! I had Sashimi sampler and Philly roll and my son had the Sashimi and Sushi dinner. We will be back!!!
Best place for sushi, my husband ordered the sushi boat and he loved it. I got the Thai basil fried rice and it was delicious. We also got the appetizer platter and everything on it was great. This place is awesome and service is excellent. We will be returning here soon.
Really, really good. I live near this restaurant and never tried it. My car is in the shop, so I decided to walk over and pick up take out. I am glad I did, as I just found my go-to spot for Chinese food. They also serve Thai and Japanese dishes. The food was hot, fresh, delicious, and no bad aftertaste or weird oils. This place is a gem and I enjoyed my dinner💯
In my personal opinion, this is the best Chinese and Thai food in Atlanta! Amazing food, amazing service and all at reasonable prices. If you havent been here yet you are truly missing out.
This place was surprisingly very good! We went in expecting decent food and was very pleased with how hot and fresh the food came out. I had the beef ribs as an appetizer which is a new thing they have and wasnt on the menu. I also had the Thai Bento box, which is a mix of cultural food but I felt was well done and for the price plenty of food and variety.
Great food, very nice people. Exactly what I was looking for. My waitress was fast, attentive and polite. I had the lunch Hawaii "3" O. It was delicious and their hot and sour soup is some of the best I have had. No complaints. This is my new Asian food place for lunch.
Very happy with the food here. For multiple Asian style genres, I was impressed. The only thing was the soups were very very thick, that it was hard to eat (Both the egg drop and the hot and sour).
This place had the most amazing food without breaking your pockets!! A diamond in the rough that I never knew existed in the 5 years Ive lived here till someone else brought me. Im sold and have already been back 2 more times.
First and last time coming. The server Jenny was very rude took her like 10-15 minutes to serve me while she served other people. And then she was just very rude to me in general. Which I know how some Asian people can be toward people of African descent. The food was salty and bland. The worst Tom Yum ever. It’s a hard no from me. Looking forward to trying the Brazilian restaurant next door though.
This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. I dinner special which adds $3.99 to the price of any of the entrees. So you get soup, egg roll, fried wonton and a soft drink or tea for the added three dollars. I love the Hawaii 3-0. It’s a spicy dish with tender beef, chicken, and shrimp. The hot and sour soup is delicious.I’m not a big sushi eater, but my friend and I will split their caterpillar roll (Shrimp tempura, cream cheese, etc...).Service is always very prompt and friendly. You won’t be disappointed to eat here.
Used to come here all the time about 2 years ago and the food and service was always excellent. I was in the area today and got really excited to eat here again. Today the food and service was terrible. There were less than 15 customers (5-6 tablesand 3-4 servers, so they werent busy (I understand they also have to do to-go orders). The waitress was visibly irritated, the service was slow, and the food was mediocre. We never received our drinks, luckily I had a bottle of water with me. Also never received our check and could not find our waitress to ask for the check. After about 15 mins we had to walk up to the front and ask to pay.
By far the best chinese I have ever had, presentation was grade A, the sesame chicken had the perfect crunch and flavor, the shashimi was phenomenal the sushi you could taste all of the fresh ingredients and I was here within an hour of closing, so good like that at the end of night deserves even greater praise. Great atmosphere, great presentations amazing food.
So this is one of my new favorite stops when Im craving my ginger salad. The Wonton soup is delicious. For dinner you get enough food to share, if your not a big eater. Lunch portions are the perfect size. Right now is the perfect weather to get a hot tea with your meal. Oh yeah! The inside is beautiful and relaxing.▶▶▶Follow @honeztfoodie on Instagram and Facebook!👋◀◀◀
Just left here. The food was average, but the customer service was AMAZING!!!! The customer service is what makes me want to come back. I definitely would recommend. The prices are great and it’s a laid back environment for people who want great sushi and Chinese/Thai cuisine without having to be too “fancy” lol. All in all we had a great experience. :)
The food is very good, including some of the best sushi in the area. And their ginger dressing on their salad is awesome too. The service is a bit more hit or miss. The staff are all friendly, but food can be delayed for no reason. Related to that, take-out is sometimes delayed for pick-up, even if they arent busy. Ive had to wait over 10 minutes after the chosen pick-up time before, even with an empty dining room.I knocked it down an extra star because they dont seem to be taking the COVID situation very seriously. They arent requiring masks for guests when not seated at a table, not all staff wear masks (including the sushi chefs on occasion), and Ive noticed some less than hygienic actions (going from a cash transaction to handling ready to eat food without hand washing, not sanitizing surfaces after use, etc). They are doing some things, but not all they could be doing. Its disappointing. I still enjoy their food and will be back once this situation clears up, but I may avoid them until then.
First time customer here. Most importantly, the food is outstanding. I did encounter a problem though. I ordered online for pick-up with a wait time of 15-20 minutes. (PRO TIP: dont do that - just call and place your order.I expected a slightly longer wait because my order included sushi. However, I waited an ADDITIONAL 25 minutes outside of my estimated pick-up window. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the man working the front, as this was not the first impression I was after. He offered to refund part of my order. He made it right. I will definitely be returning to this establishment!
Exceptional service and equally great tasting food. We eat at many places that are more expensive than this and none compared to the attentiveness our waitress and the whole staff showed us. The food tasted authentic and full of flavor. On top of all that the atmosphere was very relaxing and beautiful. Definitely recommend!
The food was very good at lunch today. Restaurant was not overly crowded but had a good pace of customers. Staff was very friendly and eager to help. The two dishes we tried today where the Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup and Chicken Pad Thai. The spicy noodle soup was not extremely spicy so it would fit the American taste.
We have been going to Great wall for about 12 years. And they keep their great name in check! The food, ambience and service is top notch. Serving Chinese, Thai & Japanese good... and they are all very flavorful and made to order with fresh ingredients. You wont regret it!!PS: we miss you Carol.
Great lunch specials! Love the general tso chicken and the Thai tea! A regular and they treat you as such! Nice ambiance as well, surprisingly good for a local Chinese restaurant. The sesame chicken is very good. The Mongolian beef is hit or miss and can be overly chewy depending on the day. Other than that everything is great and I love the variety of the menu!!
Great service and food. Definitely one of those hidden restaurant gems.
Sushi rolls were amazing and the crab angles (rangoonswere the best weve ever had
Omg the food was so amazing. Get the orange chicken. Very pleasant! Very friendly staff ❤️❤️❤️ this will be our new go to spot !
This place is out of this world. The service is astounding. The food is cooked to order and even though we came close to closing time, we were not rushed and the service was top notch.I had the General Tso chicken, which was seasoned perfectly. I could taste every spice used, yet the chicken was not over powered. She had the orange chicken. It was very good as well. I ended up stealing off her plate often. It wasnt overly sweet as with most places. It was balanced very well. The sushi was fresh and prepared correctly. They didnt skimp on ingredients or give you huge pieces of the cheap stuff and small amounts of the good stuff. Huge pieces of fish!My waitress even box the food for us!The music and atmosphere is wonderful. The lighting is warm and inviting. Dont let the fact this place is in a strip mall fool you. Worth every penny.
Nothing Great about this Fall!!If you are looking for good sushi, you will have better luck with the Kroger, across the street; and for better Chinese food, go to Panda Express or the Kroger across the street. We just moved to the area and looking for a good spot for sushi and Chinese food. Being less than a mile from the Great Wall, we wanted to give it a shot. We got there at 8:45ish pm and ordered appetizers (egg rolls and lettuce wraps), which were actually really good, and our sushi, all around 9. The sushi arrive after 9:50, when I asked for our check. I explained that we have been waiting for our food and two separate parties that arrive after us have already gotten there food. After I said that, 3 different people on staff kept trying to convince me that it was an appetizer. But per their own menu, multiple plates of sushi are not appetizers. A few minutes later our food arrived. I ordered a Hurricane tempura roll and spicy salmon roll. The tempura roll was burnt and hard as a brick; the spicy salmon was straight mush and looked like cheap imitation salmon with a lot of greasy spicy mayo (see photos). I would not recommend this place for anyone. We for sure, will not be returning. Please save your money.
