Calm place to see birds..

Its well organised wrt infraan-facilities, except very sad is situation, due to depleting &, rapidly getting extinct wild life.

No bustards, nothing great, but everything Indian.... Apathy and indifference abound.

Awesome birds,and mostly mardoke .

Pretty good place for bird watching. We reached at sun rise and was told that it opens after 9. Though the forest team was kind enough to allow us entry seeing the seriousness i guess

This is part of Indian government launched Project Bustard, a national conservation program to protect the great Indian bustard, along with the Bengal florican (Houbaropsis bengalensis), the lesser florican (Sypheotides indicus), and their habitats from further declines. The program was modeled after Project Tiger, a massive national effort initiated in the early 1970s to protect the tiger of India and their habitat.

GIB sanctuary is situated at Nannaj. its approx 20 km from Solapur. Sighting GIB is next to impossible but you can find wolves, jackals, foxes, blackbucks, wild boars and many raptors.

There are not much facility but good place to visit, to see great indian bustard go in August. To see beauty of nature go in mansoon. You can see other birds also, in off season go with you binoculars because they not providing binoculars. You can hear variety of sound of different birds. its different experience to see Bird in sanctuary. There are other animals also like deers and other.

I love this place and I really feel well in this Place.

Great Indian Bustard Sanctuary is the protected area for the great Indian bustard. The drought prone and semi arid region of the sanctuary is home to many species of birds including Indian bushlark,Great Indian bustard, Grey francolin and White eyed buzzard.

This is Nanaj GIB (great Indian bustardsanctuary near solapur city.. Road is in good condition. You can see deers , blackbug, wolf, rabbits and many birds.. Bring water bottle with you.. There are. Many watch towers for good view..

Great Experience

Nice sanctuary in Nannaj. Sadly only one great Indian Bustard (Maldhokis left. Wolves, jungle cats, peacocks, porcupines and blackbuck are seen. Kindly drive very slowly through the state highway and this park to avoid any possible injury to the animals.
