Great Escape of Central Texas in Killeen

What a time! We did a halloween themed escape room as a team building activity for our staff. We had a blast! This place definitely puts a twist on the mundane and made it very interesting.

We have been to several different escape room locations (franchise & small businessesand this is BY FAR our favorite. Great Escape of Central Texas goes above and beyond! We are so grateful for the date nights, group events and family time we have had over the years in these rooms. We cannot wait to go back again soon!

Took my two teenagers and played the back to 4th grade escape room. While we weren’t successful we enjoyed ourselves!

We were a group of eight and we enjoyed our experience we did not escape “the Mobfather” room but the staff was friendly, very organized and professional. They provided good directions before we arrive, upon arrival and through our adventure. I would definitely be returning and would recommend Great Escape of Central Texas to others. The clues were creative!

Such a great time for our family! We loved the classroom theme and it was perfect for the varying ages of our family group.

This was the second time I have gone to this escape room. Both times have always been a blast. Rooms are challenging but not impossible. Staff has always been great and super polite and helpful. Definitely recommend for a fun time.

Love this place! Tried all kinds of rooms so far, it was super fun all the time! I’m so glad I don’t need to make an extra trip to Austin area, they’re very friendly as well. Highly recommended! If you all didn’t try yet, don’t hesitate and definitely try it!!!

Great Escape was a lot of fun. We thought we werent going to make it but thankfully we did. Everything went smoothly from check-in to the finale. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would definitely visit again

This has become our staff team building for our teachers. It is so much fun and creates ongoing conversation among the teachers for weeks to come. Great Escape takes really good care of us and provides us a great team building experience. Can’t wait for next year.

We had a great time in the Spell Breaker room! The team was so funny with the hints when my friends and I felt stumped.We’ll definitely be coming back!

This has become a new past time for my family, it is so fun to do and to be challenged by. This particular escape room is awesome and has great customer service! we are already planning when we will go again and it will be soon!

I booked a party of 10 for 2 rooms. We all had a great time and the staff was very friendly and helpful helping us all to get registered. Fabulous Service!!

We had an amazing experience doing this escape. The clues were a little difficult little difficult but the staff were amazing at helping us.. I would definitely do this again

My family and I have never been to an escape room until now. It was a great experience, challenging and fun! Definitely going back again.

I have been to another escape room but this one blew me away! It was so fun. The clues were multilayered and it felt like we were in a movie. We didn’t escape but will definitely try again!

Such a great and fun experience. As the adult I was just going to let the kids play; however, before I knew it I was so caught up in helping to escape. I would recommend for any celebration and the private rooms give so much comfort during these times of COVID.

Had a lot of fun. Puzzles were a little tricky, but clever. Will definitely go again. (What the F#@! Happened Last Night)Well... We went again... Didnt make it out of this room... Have to go AGAIN to finish to the game. The Lost Tomb of Anubis is difficult. I liked the atmosphere of the room. Again, clever puzzles. One lock was difficult to manipulate, and the key was difficult to read, but the game master came and gave us a new key. We will be back AGAIN.

I’ve been to a lot of escape rooms and was skeptical about this place but the level of detail and creative puzzles made this an amazing place that I will definitely return to. Did the cellar puzzle and it was a perfect (bit scarydate night room!

Overall it was an absolutely great experience! We had a group of 5 and that seemed to be the perfect about of brain power to solve the escape. Only had one hiccup where a box wasn’t locked from the previous group and it threw us off for a bit (the staff came in and assistedbut otherwise, totally recommend.

Super fun and amazing! The puzzles were perfect! They forgot to reset one puzzle which cost us 4 minutes in the long run because the game master came in and didnt pause the timer. But honestly, super fun and professional! We beat the cellar!!!

Super fun family date night with my bf and 6-yr old son. We did the “Back to 4th grade” themed room because all others were booked. It was surprisingly fun and very challenging with unlimited hints. We didn’t escape in the 60 minute time but the experience was well worth the price. They want to go back to finish the SAME ROOM 😂 that’s how fun it was.

We had a great time in their Back to the Fourth Room. We got out, but needed some hints and with only 5 mins to spare, definitely a challenge for me as a beginner. The clues were entertaining and interactive.

Staff was really fun, and had amazing engagement. It was a blast. We will definitely be returning!

My Husband and I did our first room here the other day and had such a fun time! It was definitely challenging, and some jump scares to be enjoyed... you can really tell the team there enjoy their job. would absolutely recommend!! We will be going back soon.

Cost $81 for my party of three. It was my first escape Room experience (research say $81 is reasonable). We chose the room w the serial killer theme (the most difficult room). The staff was friendly, the experience was great, we failed to escape. Would definitely do this again.

Would be five stars but there was an issue with one of the locks that would not open even though we were doing it correctly and by the time the monitors intervened we had lost about ten minutes of time and were not given the time back. I understand the time issues with the next group coming in but the monitors should have intervened sooner and known that we had done it correctly without having to keep asking for clues and getting clues that we had already found.

Great family fun! This was an really cool thing to do. I highly recommend trying this place out. Staff was awesome and made the experience even better.

Safe fun. A little pricey for 1 hour, but the family really enjoyed the experience. The spell room was really interesting and made us want to try the other rooms. Will look for Groupon for next visit, lol!

Great Escape never fails to be an adventure. Their rooms are the right mix of challenge and fun with decor and sets which put you right in the middle of the stories they have created.

Absolutely fantastic!! The rooms were challenging but not impossible, the flow was great, and the employees were so very nice!! Weve gone twice this week because we had too much fun the first time!

This was our first time ever doing an escape room and it was so much fun. We brought along our 8 year old daughter and she was able to help and decipher clues with us. The staff is excellent and friendly. We will definitely be returning for more rooms.

We had a great and fun time at the Great escape while visiting family in the area. The staff was great, the room (Back to the fourth gradewas so much fun. The staff member who was watching via camera was soooo nice, she realized we were from Puerto Rico and wrote a personalized message of a phrase we tend to say :-Such a nice gesture. Next time we visit Killeen we definitely will be back!

Excellent place. The rooms are well thought out, cleverly put together and challenging. As someone who does a lot of escape rooms I think this location is easily a top place to go. Would highly recommend.

Fun, had a blast with family in Escaping! Staff friendly and provide valuable insight when briefing you before beginning your adventure. A great way to keep your mind challenged and sharp while having a blast with friends or family. A way to connect and work as a team! If you’re looking for a challenge this establishment is definitely worth coming and enjoying their various escape rooms from easy to difficult.

My wife and I have done many escape rooms in many different locations, and this location has it down to a science! The options provided seem suspenseful and desirable. The one we did was extremely well put together and enjoyable. The staff was very courteous and helpful as well. We will DEFINITELY be coming back again!

Updated to add... we just visited for our 3rd time. We have done "spell breaker" "the cellar" and "lost tomb of anubis" ... we have loved them all and the staff are fantastic! We always have a great time.We always have a great time here. This time we did "The Cellar" .. we did not beat it but it was so much fun, I would definitely recommend!

Oh my- I was skeptical about enjoying this with my teenagers and their friends. But it was SO MUCH FUN!!! Definitely recommend it for any family activities idea! 10/5 stars!!!!! Just booked our second escape room! :)

Have been here a couple times and both rooms were a blast. Feels like everything in each room is a part of the puzzle. Definitely will keep coming back.

There were 5 of us and no one had done an escape room before. It was so fun and so engaging. Everything was well designed and the staff was super helpful. 10/10 would recommend and cant wait to try another room!

I have never had a bad experience with you guys! The rooms are all realistic and super fun . I’ve done quite a few of them before and I always like going. At first I thought it was a bit pricey but then after doing a few rooms I understood why admissions price was the way it is. Y’all are awesome!! Keep it up!

First time playing any escape room. We played The Lost Tomb one, and we didnt escape, but that didnt make it any less fun. We all had a blast, and I will definitely be returning to play other rooms. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Dont hesitate to try this place, youre going to have a great time!

We took our Bitbar team to have some fun and do some team building and everyone had a blast. We did 2 different rooms and each one had an awesome theme and really cool puzzles to complete. They had light effects in both rooms and it was truly a unique experience. Not just any old escape room. Definitely recommend!

It was a wonderful experience! Much better than other escape rooms I’ve been to. We did the Spell Breaker room. We loved the look of the room. The puzzles were so much better than just finding numbers and opening locks. It was great how they incorporated the flashing lights and drawers that pop open. I would definitely recommend.

It was our first time going. We went for my daughters bday to celebrate. From the time we walked in until we left it was the best experiences. We did the tomb escape room. Difficult, but well worth the challenge. We all enjoyed our visit and the best part is we ESCAPED😃. Highly recommend with family or friends. We will definitely be back!

I just wanted to update my review to include more details than just the rating. My husband and I have done a total of 5 games here, two of those solo together and the other three with family. These rooms are so detailed and fun to do. Its nice to use my brain and get that sweet, sweet instant gratification of something popping open. They put so much love into the rooms and the puzzles are challenging but intuitive. Weve escaped each room that weve done and look forward to taking on more in the future! I have nothing but positive things to say about this place and highly recommend it as a unique thing to do, thats also high quality and worth every minute.

Weve done quite a few escape rooms up to this point and Ive gotta say I was really impressed with the Great Escape of Central Texas!We did the Tomb of Anubis and some of the things that made this place stand out compared to others is the puzzle complexity. Normally at other locations you solve 1 singular puzzle that opens 1 thing or lock at a time where as the Great Escapes puzzles needed multiple steps! Which was both challenging and awesome!I also really appreciated the fact that once you opened a new room that didnt necessarily mean you were done with the other rooms! We were constantly problem solving and bouncing back and forth from room to room which was amazing!Id absolutely recommend this place to escape room newcomers and veterans alike!!5/5
