Granny's Mini-Hut in Roseburg

A old school burger hut. Tucked away with indoor outdoor dining areas. My Burger was great cant wait to try the grilled cheese. Friendly staff and clean well kept dining areas.

Good burgers! The Frisco was a hand pressed burger that was made to fit the garlic toasted sourdough bread. Loads of fries! They dont skimp on portions or taste. Added mushrooms to the Granny - a double bacon cheese. Wow! So good. Definitely worth coming here.

Best burgers and fries

I always try to write a very fair and respectful review so here we go. Staff was very kind and friendly and our food came quickly. We ordered 2 burgers with sweet tea, fries and onion rings. Our sweet tea tasted like water with very light flavor of tea and wasn’t sweet at all. The burgers while yes, they were good. They most certainly are not the best burgers in Roseburg. I feel they were extremely overhyped. The burger patty itself was cooked very well and was juicy, but had no flavor or seasoning at all. The fries taste very similar to In-n-out so that should give an idea. The onion rings tasted good and were seasoned well, however they were very very greasy. Dining area was very unclean and flies everywhere but I understand places get busy and short staffed. Overall, I’d give this 2.5-3 stars, I’m glad I tried it, but I would absolutely not wait in line or go out of my way for it. Thank you to the kind staff and owner. Hope this is helpful!

This place is always a delight. With a very selective, popular diner-style food menu, Grannys always hits the spot. I cannot get enough of it. Ive had most of the menu, just to try it. Theres only a couple of places in Roseburg that can make food like this work: this is one of those places. Make sure you get extra goop!

The new owners are so nice and friendly. The food is very much the same. My only criticism would be the amount of salt they use. Just a little too much for me. Our burgers and onion rings were served piping hot; much appreciated.

The staff is very friendly and enthusiastic, the hamburgers and fries are OUTSTANDING. Yesterday was the first time that I ever have been to Grannys Burger Hut hands down the best hamburger and french fries that I have ever had and Grannys Burger Hut has in and out Burger beat all to hell there is no competition there . Give them a try you will not be disappointed.

Grannys has the best burgers ever and their home fries are amazing. Their food will make your taste buds sing and your tummy smile. The mushroom cheeseburger is the best Ive tasted in my many years of eating this burger combo. Order a basket and take the left-overs home.

Arrived & ordered. Of course you are out of onion rings, again. Waited & waited for order. Employees are high schoolers without obvious customer service experience. Burger was overcooked & tasted burnt. Fries were way too greasy. Quality left with the previous owners. Will not be back.

We were driving home from wildlife Safari and looked on Yelp to see where we could get a good burger in Roseburg and this was one of the top places. Its not a place you go to for the ambiance it really is a hole in the wall with outdoor and indoor seating. My husband and I each got the Frisco burger which is a burger with all the trimmings on grilled sourdough bread and it was really good. They make their own patties instead of using those hockey pucks most places use. The fries were shoestring fries and they appeared to be home cut as they had pieces of the skin on which is the way I like them. I prefer the bigger handcuffed fries but they were fine and I liked their fry sauce which is like the old Arctic circle fry sauce if youve ever had that. My husband and I would both go back again.

Good old fashioned hamburgers. Their french fries are great but the onion rings are real. Not mushed up onion formed into a circle and then batter dipped and fried.

Reminded me of the burgers you get at the county fair, which isnt a bad thing! The fries though... man they were a little over-salted. Glad I got a drink because they were thirst provoking for sure but the goop helped mask some of the salt. I wouldnt think theyre always like that though, s*** happens sometimes! The staff were very friendly and had a positive attitude, they were also stoked that I was a first timer.

We went and ate here the other day. The food was amazing and they were very nice. I recommend going and eating here.

Hamburgers were excellent 10.. Fries were beyond sad, rated them a 0. Asked for our fries to be made krispy and they were as limp as a noodle. Maybe try their tots or krinkle fries instead. Very friendly.

Good service, person that took my order asked how my day was going and he in turn said his day was great. Great food, always has been. The home fries are the best! Great experience like always

Best hot dog outside of Chicago! Great onion rings. Also, they didn’t charge us for our drinks, and when we asked for them they insisted we don’t pay (but we did!Steady stream of happy customers. Masks required and outdoor tables were available.I’d absolutely stop here anytime I’m in Roseburg! You should too!

I have been visiting Roseburg for the week and eaten at Granny’s every day for lunch since arriving...so I will let that speak for itself. The first day I got a BBQ burger and made it a double—the only mistake was making it a double. The next two days I just got the single which is a lot of food. I haven’t tried anything else on the menu as I found this delicious special sauce burger to be everything I could ask for.

Good food. We ordered a mushroom Swiss and a granny 2 patty bacon cheese. My Swiss burger was delicious, but the double patty granny burger was bland. Overall it was OK. Good fries and we liked the sauce that came with them.

Great homemade burgers! Staff was friendly and everyone was following social distancing and mask guidelines. Huge burgers mean you need to go hungry!

Today was my first trip to Grannys mini hut. I will be back!! The double bacon cheeseburger was huge!! The bacon was cooked to perfection! The fries were amazing!! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The owner was very helpful on what to get! They make fresh brewed sweet tea!!! Most places the tea is too swee,t but it was sugared just right!!!

I ordered the BLT on sourdough bread. It seemed to contained an entire pack of bacon and the bun was perfectly toasted. Do yourself a huge favor and grab a bite to eat here.

This place makes the best Burgers in and out of town!! Ginger and Jourdan are very friendly and Dad(cant recall his name)came out and checked on us!Wed recommend this place for anyone who wanted a good old fashioned burger.....delicious!!!

By far one of the best burgers ive had in a really long time. Got the BBQ bacon cheeseburger burger. *Warning really saucy* if youre too afraid to get lost in the sauce, then your not worthy. Thanks for the delicious burger guys!

Grannys Mini Hut has both outdoor and indoor seating. It was lunch hour and although it was steady our food came very quickly. Service was friendly and speedy.The food was delicious I got Grannys double bacon cheeseburger and my partner had the grilled cheese and mushroom sandwich. The French fries were home made and I suspect the ranch was as well because it was delicious. The meat in my burger tasted fresh and the lettuce and tomato were certainly fresh, buns were toasted perfect. Its a little tricky to find its worth a stop in.

Best burger in town! I went there for the first time a few days ago. The service and food left a remarkable impression and I will be sure to return!

Im not a big fan of hamburgers but this place hit the spot! My bf and I split a burger and they accomadated our personal preferences on each half. Owners were very friendly and establishment was warm and welcoming.

Stopped at Granny’s for food after going to the Wildlife Safari, and I was not at all impressed. I expected more from such a highly rated spot.I ordered a muchroom Swiss burger and fries. The burger meat wasn’t seasoned at all and was quite flat and dry. The cheese was hardly melted, the bottom bun was SATURATED in mayo, the fries were limp and soggy; I was gulping down water to try and get the awful taste from my mouth. I ate maybe 5 fries and 3 bites of the burger and I couldn’t stomach it any longer. No amount of salt or ketchup could help.The only positive thing I can say is that the wait staff was friendly and cheerful. But I really expected more from somewhere that boasts they have the “best” burger.

Granny’s burgers are delicious. They have the best “drive in” style burgers. Fresh toppings, plenty of sauce, real cheese...The fry sauce is also very tasty. It’s not a fast food place. Good food takes time, so don’t plan on having your food in a matter of a couple minutes. Definitely worth it.

Absolutely delicious homemade style burgers and fresh cut fries! Im glad we picked this place over the food chains in the area. Only reason I did not rate 5 stars because the toilet in the restroom was placed too high and it created a VERY uncomfortable experience.

We went to Grannys Mini Hut today. Tim, the owner, took our order. They were extremely gracious to us. We called before we came to get directions. They told us to come at 11:00 or 2:00 to get there before the crowds or after the crowds as to assure a place to sit if we wanted to eat there. They say they are the best burgers in town. I was skeptical about this at first because anyone can say they have the best burgers in Roseburg. After eating there today I have to say they are not only the best burger in Roseburg. They are the best I have tried in the state of Oregon. I had a mushroom and Swiss burger. It was awesome. The onion rings were amazing. We also had a bacon Swiss cheese burger which was perfect. The tator tots were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside just the way I like them. We definitely will be back. Thank you Tim and family.

This place was better when the previous owners were running it. Since the current owners bought it a few years ago it has gone down hill in quality of service and quality of food. Do not try to go during a lunch break. It will take 45 minutes to get your food. Calling in an order is equally frustrating. I’ve been asked to hold, but wasn’t put on hold, the guy just sat the phone down and took several other orders while I waited. I won’t go back.

Delicious juicy burger! We went during the rush, so it was a bit of a wait and no parking, but WELL worth it!!! We got the Grannys double bacon burger basket, and it was big enough to split.

A lady at the local airport told me that this is the go-to place for a delicious burger. She was not wrong! The staff were all friendly and in a good mood. Fair prices for the amount of food. I dont see how any place in the area could top it!

So worth the stop. Will be stopping every trip between Hillsboro and AZ! The mini quarter pounder with bacon and choice of cheese was perfect size with amazing homemade fries! We shared the onion rings; wish I had my own. Loved the goop sauce!

Came from California to Oregon to have their burgers. Best ever we have had in many states, we had the bacon bbq burger, swiss mushroom burger and home cut fries. Very delicious and everything is homemade everyday.

Best burgers in town! Their home style fries are delicious and their milkshakes top it all off! You can expect home brewed ice tea and indoor and outdoor seating. Really nice service and amazing food.

Grannys was well worth the stop. One of the best fresh home made hamburgers my husband and I have eaten! Dont let the food truck and area scare you away. They serve the food quickly and a friendly staff. Beth D.

Really friendly ma and pa burger stand! My friend and daughter had cheeseburgers and loved them.. I had their spin on a garden burger. It was all the fixins with sautéed mushrooms and 3 beer battered onion rings plus cheese, best gb Ive ever had by far. The sweet tea is not too sweet but perfectly balanced! Thanks Tim and crew!😊

By far the best place to get a burger in Douglas county! My grandparents owned Burger Hut years ago on Winchester St. Grannys burgers bring back so many memories of the good quality food! Almost no difference in taste. Plus, the staff is super friendly! 😃

What a hidden gem! Right off the main road, and located behind another store front, this burger joint had constant traffic while we were there, deffinitly a local favorite. The owners chatted it up with us and even though they were closing for the day, made every effort for us to enjoy our stop. Their house special (Crisco burgerwas to die for! Texas toast bun with house sauce. Will make this a regular stop on my road trips down the west coast.

Did not disappoint! We saw this on yelp and thought wed give it a try on our way from the bay area to Portland. Really great burgers (my kids ate all of theirs), and the staff was very friendly and really helpful. Eat here, for sure.

Delicious! It is always nice to enjoy some delightful grub at Grannys Mini Hut. Honestly I think their only competition is 492 miles away, and Grannys Hut is still the best place to get a burger. Other than that, Im not sure of another place who can compete. I drove across states from Virginia, Im not an expert food critic, but Im not fibbing when I say Grannys burgers are the best around. Theres other places that as good, but not this good my friends. Lovely people too
