THE best fishcakes and fish sandwiches on the island!!! The name is so fitting cause the taste is just as your grandma makes them.

Asked for a cheeseburger and they ain’t even got burger buns, they offered me raisin bread... and the service was almost going backwards from how slow it was.

Tooooo slow

We were lucky enough to be brought here by a lovely Bermudian local that saw us lost on the path towards Art Mels (closed Mondays, which we also didnt know). We wouldnt have found Grannies without her, and would have missed out on the best fish sandwich weve ever had. Grannies is family run, cozy, fantastic service from the women behind the counter - and the fish they use is local, fresh, caught every morning. We had the traditional fish sandwich on raisin bread, and it was DIVINE. Fresh, lemony, salty and sweet with the raisins from the bread...just the right amount of crispy crunch and juicy, never dry. Grannies is not to be missed, its a must in Hamilton!

My wife and I had the good fortune of randomly having Grannie’s recommended to us by a local at a gas station on our last day of vacation. We both had the traditional Bermuda style fish sandwich, and they were amazing. Freshly fried and prepared to order, they were delectable beyond all expectations! The sandwiches were huge and one was more than enough for two people. It is not on the list of typical tourist sites but if you like authentic, home-style, great cooking it will be worth your while to go there for a mouth-watering great meal! It will definitely be on our go to list when we go back to Bermuda. I’m looking forward to trying some more of their local specialties like codfish on Sundays or fish wings when they’re available. Thanks Grannie’s, for the wonderful meal and your kind, Bermudian hospitality!

Awesome fish sandwich from a small mom and pop kind of shop. Tried going to Art Mels but it closed a bit before 7. Another person who was trying to go brought me to this place. Super local and authentic. Definitely worth a stop if youre in the area.
