Great venue for a congress. Found the service rude and slow outside of the congress in the evening

I was able to get a last-minute reservation at this Hotel after an issue with our other Hotel. Old-world elegance meets modern convenience is how I would describe this establishment—just an excellent experience. If you want an upper-end experience on your once-in-a-lifetime visit to Palermo, this is the place to stay. Spend the $$ and get the higher-end room. Its worth every $.

This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay and located around everything a visitor needs. The courtyard is stunning and has by far the best breakfast you could imagine. Staff were so helpful, friendly and spoke great English. It really made our life stumbling through broken Italian so much easier. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Excellent and impressive hotel! Right in historic district - really a perfect location for sightseeing in Palermo. Big rooms in pretty facility, The staff was helpful. Nice free breakfast.

Hotel is nice but staff isnt helpful. They wildly overcharged me for a taxi to Central station and made no mention that I should purchase a ticket in advance. Play the same song over and over again to the point of nauseum. The room is nice as is the gym, just no air conditioning in the gym. Actually the gave me wrong information too - telling me the bus is every 30 minutes or half an hour when instead its every two hours. Roberta and her colleagues are incredibly rude and not helpful

We booked last minute as there was some confusion with our original hotel. What an extremely pleasant surprise. The hotel is modern but retains it’s historical charm and excellent old world service. Rooms were clean and spacious. The bathroom was especially a large which is a big treat in Sicily. Also the location can’t be beat- right in the heart of where you want to be in Palermo. We will definitely stay here for any future visits to Palermo.

Ask for room 311. Very big room. Very big tub and shower. The AC works so well I suspect ice in a glass will last a long time.

Excellent.This wasan emergency hotel due to flight cancellation. But couldnt ve happily. Near to the center but just off the main street. Great facilities, lovely staff and seriously palatial room. Quite possibly the best hoy Ive stayed in in palermo..... and the others were excellent.

I think it is a nice Hotel, but the lost 3 Points because of the unrespectfull reception. Friend was visiting and they dont let him up. They dont let him put his Stuff in the room.The reception make it not friendly and complicated.

amazing place, staff has been lovely and room was PERFECT. I totally fall in love with Palermo and Sicilian people. I studied Italian for a long time and here I felt at home. I recommend this hotel to enjoy the city to the fullest.

Elegant lovely rooms, comfortable bed, large modern bathroom. Location is good but tricky to find reception. Check Google maps for alley to entrance.

Great hotel!

Such a cool hotel, in a former bank and cloister before that. The building dates from the 16th century and the bank features remain in a safe off the dining room! Its within walking distance of many tourist "must sees" and restaurants. And theres appertivo in the evening: buy a drink and munch on some delicious snacks. Dont miss the olives!

When our flight was cancelled, our airline put us up at the Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa. When we arrived, the front desk was ready with cheerful, efficient, bilingual staff who managed to check in 150 grumpy travelers in less than 10 minutes. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with everything we might need (inc. shaving and dental kitsand a shared balcony overlooking a residential courtyard (which was very quiet at night). Breakfast was an extensive continental buffet with excellent service. The hotel is centrally located, and the building is a beautifully converted bank with a gorgeous atrium. If we had been paying guests, I would have felt I had gotten excellent value for money. Highly recommended. (My only criticism is that the bathrooms need gas traps to stop the smell from the sewer, but we’ve experienced this many times in our travels.)

Decent hotel at friendly price. Good location with main attractions and main street just a few minutes away. There is a huge but rather dark public area in the hotel. The room wasn’t particularly spacious but was enough. The front desk didn’t speak perfect English but was communicable with some patience. We were happy with our stay except the front desk called an awful taxi driver for us to the airport.We were told by the front desk that taxi fare of a 7-seater to airport would be 45 Eur. After we arrived at the airport, the taxi driver insisted to charge us a “discounted price” of 50 Eur and forced us to give him tips, and laughed at us saying the tip was too little. Never had I had such a horrible experience with taxi driver anywhere in Italy or in the world. And it’s called by the hotel. That was quite disappointing.

First room very noisy then got moved to a lovely room porter was extremely rude mumbled slot under his breath about moving our luggage Maria the receptionist was lovely

Great hotel, nice staff and fantastic value. It is in a quiet part of town but still close to the main sights. You could do alot worse than this place.

Big rooms, friendly staff, the court yard is nice . Breakfast is not great, they have the basics, thing to do is order an omelette rather than having the massive scrambled eggs. The gym lacks towel and mats. The ac didnt work in the gym when I tried to use it.

Beautiful Hotel. Centrally located so very walkable location. A little hard to find thanks to the narrow streets if your non-Google maps based navigation is confused. Amazing breakfast in a beautiful repurposed bank building.

A friend of mine advised me. The place is a dream. A jewel in the ancient capital of Palermo. An island of luxury silent in the center of the city. A gate of the time. It was a privileged start point that unveiled me the culture of a splendid city.

This is definitely the hotel with the most uncomfortable bathroom i have ever been with hardly enough space in the shower the dirty curtains sticking on to you. The towels should also be looked into because its felt as if I was drying myself with sand paper. The breakfast is just above average. The bed sheets were never changed (we we there for 3 nightsand there were bed bugs. Also to my surprise the door of the room didn’t close so when we came back at around midnight after being the whole day away anyone could have entered in the room. The room was ok in size and air conditioning however under the bed there was what seemed to be a thick lair of dust. This is NOT a 4 start hotel. At least not any more… only things is got is the location
