Via Maso Finiguerra, 9, 50123 Firenze FI, Italy, Florence
A 13-minute walk from Florence Cathedral and 15 minutes from the Uffizi Gallery, this traditional hotel set in the historic district is a 3-minute walk from the Santa Lucia bus station.Rooms feature conservative decor, plus free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, desks, coffeemakers and minibars. Suites add living rooms with sofas. Upgraded quarters add balconies with cafe tables. Some include walk-in showers.Perks include free breakfast served in a walled-in garden during nice weather. There’s an exercise room and 8 meeting rooms, plus a restaurant serving classic Italian cuisine. There's also a bar. Parking is available for a surcharge
Everyone was nice smiles happy to have us there. Florence streets on the other hand do not run north and south or east and west but may meander. So maps are hard to read. Plan on extended walds or take a cab.
Lovely hotel ,well located ,staff very helpful.
We spent 3 nights at the Grand Hotel Adriatico and had a good stay overall. Would probably have given 3.5 stars if possible. What we liked:+ Very friendly staff with great recommendations for restaurants close by+ Secured parking right behind the hotel for 20 Euro/day (cheaper than most other hotels in the city centre area)+ Rooms were clean and reasonably equipped+ Great location just a few steps away from the city centre and the famous "ponte vecchio"What could have been better:- Breakfast was average I would say. Especially the coffee did not fulfil Italian standards as it was made by a automatic machine- WIFI was very slow and that was especially annoying when we tried to book some museum tickets
4 min walk to Santa Maria Novella train station and 15 mins walk to Duomo. 10 mins to Ponte Vecchio. Staff are amazing. Hotel is old but partly renovated. We were given an old unrenovated room with a fantastic city view of Duomo but the ceilings were too low for my tall husband so they happily moved us and offered us a pick between 2 rooms. However, new room duvet had a large disgusting stain and was covered up by staff. We didnt notice it until we got ready for bed at 11 pm and the overnight staff put the blame on us. But we showed him none of the other sheets were dirty just the duvet. He couldnt get us a replacement so gave us scratchy blankets instead. Not impressed!Breakfast is mediocre. Eggs were cold. Croissants were hard. They do have juices and cereal and fruit from cans. Nothing special for vegetarians.
The front desk staff were wonderful, we dealt with 2 fantastic ladies Francesca and Rosaria( I thinkhelping us book excursions. They went above and beyond to help book taxis, give us directions and wonderful suggestions of where to eat.The rooms were very nice, clean but above all cool! On this trip we stayed in Rome, Milan and Lake Como and by far this hotel in Florence was our favorite! Will definitely stay there again!
Room is smaller than expected and quite old fashioned. Front counter service was good. Breakfast was good.
It was a nice hotel however a specific blonde female staff member running the breakfast was extremely rude with my family and I. I was very offended and voiced my anger to the Hotel manager. Not only was she rude to my party, I noticed she was very belittling of her employees. My honest recommendation is to remove someone like her from the staff, until then avoid breakfast even if it is complimentary. I would recommend the cafe on the same street.
I have a list of issues with this hotel. I stayed at a 4 person bedroom. The wifi was terrible and would constantly disconnect on one side of the room. On my first night there was no air, we had to switch rooms the next day. We were partially refunded for the first night even though it should have been a complete refund. Even with the refund we found our 4 night stay to be extremely expensive for the quality of the hotel. Breakfast was mediocre at best, I would recommend taking the breakfast up to your room to avoid the obnoxious breakfast manager. Location was nice, very central and close to the train station in case you want to visit another nearby city.
Great location, lovely tasteful modern room with a fantastic view of the marina, kind and attentive service.
Amazing service and cute/clean rooms. Great location as well.
Great service, rooms very well maintained, we opted in for the breakfast and it was great to start the day. Would recommend the stay for sure!
Nice theyre nice a close to the train station and other things.
If I could give these hotel zero start I would have. This hotel is terrible. Do not stay here. AC not working. They gave us fan for our room for 4 nights. Food is terrible. Location is very bad. Take your money and run. Do not come to this hotel. Don’t. The bathroom shower leaks and flooded the hallway. Never came to fix it. Terrible service
Really dont recommend. The breakfast was poor and did not have even a single vegetable. The room was not clean, had dust particles all over the old and ragged textile wall. The fridge had mold in it and was barely cool and not even that was constant. Its a joke this hotel is rated 4 stars, Ive seen 3 star hotels many years ago which were better than this in many aspects.Im sure you can find a better choice for the money.
Very nice experience. Not all gusts are nice but That is not hotel control.breakfast was good on first two days and on the 3rd the vegetables disappeared for some reason
although its a 4 stars hotel, their service deserves a 5 stars.rooms were clean, spacious and had all amenities needed.room service always answers the calls and so fast.friendly staff and so welcoming.breakfast buffet was good, variety of food to choose from, sweets and a selection of cold cuts, croissants, eggs, cereals and corn flakes, coffee and tea...above all, the location of the hotel is in the middle of everything, just walking distance to any location you are heading to, from metro to the main square.will definitely book in this hotel the next time I visit Florence.they made our stay so easy and relaxing.highly recommended!!
lovely hotel staff very helpful and polite. beds are not comfortable but rooms were clean and location is ideal for site seeing
The lobby and breakfast area were beautiful. Food was delicious. But..the personnel were not helpful. The AC did not work. We had a leak for the ceiling through a can light. They did not move us but placed a bowl under the leaking pipe in the ceiling. We heard dripping all night! Poor choice for sure!!
Great hotel to stay in Firenze!- near the river, so you can take a walk or perfect for running- 10 mins walking distance to the center, which is great. You can enjoy quiet time at night, but still walk to the center whenever you want- great bakeries and coffee houses near by- really nice employees (Thanks Elena!!)- try to get a room with view if you can, amazing views- comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and really clean hotel in general- complimentary water is provided daily, which is great- breakfast is amazing (one of the bests in the area)- gym is also niceYeah, totally recommend this hotel!
Exactly what we’d expect for 2 nights in Florence. Huge comfortable bed with voice of pillow styles, luggage concierge, refrigerator with 2 waters, 1 sparkling, 1 standard, desk, and a safe. And a Bidet. What more can 2 luck souls expect?
This hotel was in close walking distance to Duomo and museums and the like. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast in the restaurant each morning to start our day and it was served by nice friendly staff. The ambiance of the halls were nice. The rooms were cleaned on time each day and made the rooms clean and tidy. Our cleaning room person (middle aged woman so sweet and humblegave me my one of my first impressions of the country and I was so glad she did. I would definitely return for hotel booking in the future.
Wonderful little breakfast. Room comfortable. Nice thick towels. I wish there was USB charging ports in the room.
Nice hotel and great location to explore Florence. The rooms and the hotel are dated but very well maintained and clean. This is not a modern hotel with modern facilities (although we did have a very large flat screen tv in the room). The staff is very polite and helpful. Breakfast was basic, and serving was cumbersome due to Covid. The staff really tried to make things work, and the effort is felt.We will return next time we are visiting Florence.
The room is clean and tidy, the hall is amazing but unfortunately the beds very uncomfortable. We asked for a double matrimonial bed all we got is 2 single beds attached together and as you sleep on they open up which is very annoyingThe single bed it’s a sofa bed and I would loved it if one of management team will have a sleep on it, it’s unbelievably very very uncomfortable I don’t think you would get this types on B&B let alone on 4 star hotelThe other Big Surprise is that the breakfast menu was very poor !I couldn’t get a fried egg for the kids as I have been told scramble eggs come with breakfast and had to pay for other eggs ( embarrassing)Very very disappointed for the price that we payedE
Hotel has beautiful common areas. However, the rooms are outdated. Two of the outlets in our room didnt work, the lock on the bathroom door was broken, the shower drain was chipped and falling off, the shower chair was rusty, and some of the furniture was torn. Rooms definitely need improvements! Location is great. Right near the train station and plenty of restaurants. Staff was friendly and accommodating. When we first checked in, we were given a room that wreaked completely of very strong cigarette smoke. We were given a new room within 20 minutes. The only major complaint is the outdated rooms and the lack of service from the cleaning staff.
As a hospitality management major, I visited this hotel on a class trip. I was very impressed with the traditional Italian architecture. It is a great option for those coming from other countries, especially Asian countries, as there is a dedicated room for Chinese breakfast. There are unique amenities like the relaxation chair, all complimentary. My only dislike was the style of the rooms. The are very dark and on the small side.
Had a great tour of the hotel today thanks to our lovely tour guide, Margarita. Got to experience the complimentary sensory pod. The single room was especially spacious and cozy. It is a perfect room for someone on a business trip or traveling alone. The double room was very clean and comforting. The last room we saw was a suite which had a beautiful bathroom, quaint living room area and the sleeping section was very elegant with lovely decor. Overall, wonderful tour and I would definitely stay at this hotel in the future!
This hotel is very beautiful. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a beautiful waterfall wall. The rooms are so nice as well, with coffee in the rooms for the guest’s usage. Although everything is wonderful, my favorite had to be the stress reliever room. You can pick from a machine if you would like to be relaxed, energized, etc. It is a true “wow” effect. Would definitely stay here!
After entering the traditional quaint lobby of the grand Hotel Adriatico I was very impressed with the cleanliness and professionalism. Finding our ways to the rooms we found the rooms to be perfect for what we needed, the bathroom was beautiful all marble and very traditional. The dining facilities offer diverse options to appease all pallets, from traditional European breakfast to the Chinese breakfast. Overall the hotel is a lovely place to relax!
