Grand Cru Restaurant - Restaurant in Prague, Czech Republic
One of the finest places in Prague and the best bargain Michelin level experience. Their tasting menu is a harmony of excellent dishes, one of the best Kulajda one can taste, surprisingly nice pasta and an outstanding lamb. 5 courses at 60 eur. Paired nicely with full sized glasses of wines. Flawlessly professional service. One of the best champagne and wine selections with surprisingly low mark ups. Super comfortable chairs. The only negative is a bit aggressive lights for the eyes in the main room. I hope to find space in this place again.
Good wine.Food is good for Taiwan people. The service is good.
Very nice restaurant with a lovely menu. We visited as a group of 24 on a business trip, the menu for that was 3 course, 2 choices for each course. The staff were very friendly giving personal recommendations. A great atmosphere, lovely night.
To je vyborne! very good Restaurant , very good Service , calm athmophere, ,very delicate Food Andrea greetings to Michelin.
We were 6 friends visiting and we had modified tasting manues with matching wine. The food and service was top of the line with plenty of wine for the price. We all agreed the experience was stellar and we recommend you go here ho have a great food and drink experience.
The food was quite good, still a bit pricey for the quantity and taste. But the whole experience was ruined by the really unpleasant waitress, insisting heavily and pushing us to spend more, and quite rude from beginning to end.
Wow. Great restaurant in Prague. The service is very friendly and professional. The loval is very comfortable. They have a tasting menu and a short but very correct menu of dishes. The food is very well done, it shows that the chef knows what he is doing in the kitchen. The wine list is very complete. Very correct price-quality ratio. We loved it. Espero que els catalans que vinguin a la ciutat el visitin. Molt recomanables recomanable.
Certainly one of the best restaurants in Prague, probably the best wine list
The food, service and wine were all excellent.
Extraordinary food, lovely cozy laid-back atmosphere and kind staff. We really enjoyed our dinner and would recommend this place, especially for special occasions.
Delightful place - we enjoyed one of the tasting menus, the food was delicious with exceptional wine pairings. The service and ambiance were first class and my partner and I look forward to returning.
We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here and it was fantastic! Libor was very helpful organizing the event. The food was unbelievable and our guests said it was the best food in Prague. The wine selection and staff were also amazing.
One of the best meals we’ve ever had. Dinner and dessert was amazing and the wine pairing was perfect.
I really enjoyed my experience from the appetizer to the main course. Well portioned and tasty. The sommelier recommended a great local wine and it paired perfectly with our food.I highly recommend.
Awesome dinner experience, well paced and service was warm and friendly. Amazing beef tartare ! Highly highly recommend
Amazing experience ! One of the best restaurants weve been. And we have been to many many michelin stars ones. This one deserves at least 1 and maybe 2 to our standards. The prices are more than affordable for us. Incredible wines ! I really highly recommend this restaurants and especially the waiter : Johny Honza . He was just perfect ! Special thanks for the aspergus soup : just incredible ! All the other plates were just very good. Thanks to the staff and of course the chef and his brigade. We just loved it, and we are back tomorrow ! I cant wait ! Bravo !!!!
Great!
The whole experience is worth a visit, excellent flavors and presentation. Probably the best steak I had in Prague so far. No doubt it is pricey AF but I think well justified.
This was a very nice experience. The service was so good and professional and the food and wine experience as well. I highly recommend to spend a beautiful evening here. We tried the tasting menu and it was well accepted. We went away very happy!
speechless absolutely amazing - costumer service was impeccable and the food was beyond belief. the waiter was the nicest person we ever met. you MUST go there.
The service was great and they all seemed experienced and eager to please! Im going there again soon.
Excellent service and menu! We can definitely recommend this place. It was a unique culinary experience in central Prague :-)
We went to Grand cru for our last night i prague. The restaurant is beautiful and the ambiance good.Unfortunately our food did not live up to our expectations. We first waited 30 minutes for the first glass of wine in our wine pairing menu, then the waiter asked if i wanted an extra plate for one of our courses we wanted to share witch is a minor detail but important in a Michelin guide restaurant. Our first course was a local soup, very sweet for our taste but maybe that’s the way it should be .We then had scallops with caviar, both the scallops and the caviar eggs were very small compared to the one i know.We then had pan fried foie gras with some currant sauce on top served with ginger bread and a glass of Montbazillac .For the main course we had Lamb shoulder with sweet patato and a lamb reduction.I loved the reduction but all in all to much sweet for our pallets.I must admit we expected more from this place due to the recommendations on google reviews. We had many good experiences in other michelin guide restaurants in Prague but unfortunately this was not one of them.I would have liked better advice from the waiter as our menu of choice was very sweet .Being French i have some experience in French cuisine.
Amazing service, we asked if we could have a quick lunch and we got a delicious soup and a main dish in less than 20 minutes. The place is elegant and cozy, definitely coming back when in Prague.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. I went for lunch and had their seasonal tasting menu with local wines and food and everything was outstanding. The service was great and they all seemed experienced and eager to please! Im going there again soon.
Fantastic food with an exceptional warm service. The Czech wine recommendation was great and very good value for money which was true for the whole dinner. Really perfect service! We will come back for sure.
On a 4 days trip we went twice, it shows how much we enjoyed it. The food was just extraordinary... I would recomand the tartare as starter, beef tenderloin as main course and rhubarb/vanilla dessert... We also took the wine pairing which was as nice as the service. All that for a decent price in a lovely atmosphere. 100% recommand !
Friendly staff and the food is very good. You can choose from a wide range of wines as well and the prices are sympathetic and they are set accordingly to the quality of the food, drinks, staff and the location of the restaurant. It is not a restaurant for a quick meal but when you want to have a nice meal (either a date or a normal meal with friendsI personally really recommend this restaurant.
Amazing food! Unique flavors!
When we first entered the restaurant, I found myself to be a bit disappointed by the light atmosphere in the yard. The setting seemed comparatively dull, though that may be a highly subjective impression. However, the charming waiters soon made up for it and made sure we were comfortable at all times! The service is simply exceptional, even for a restaurant of this kind. Although I am not very knowledgeable about different wines, the wine menu seemed very interesting and the waiter provided helpful insight as to what wine to pair with what dish. But lets get to what matters most: the food and sadly theres not a lot to say about it, because I cant find the words. It was simply amazing: from the way each dish was displayed to the taste, everything was just perfect, so much so that I liked a creame sauce made out of sweet potato which I usually dislike. Dont worry about which dish to pick, Im certain their all great in their own way. But this comes with a huge downside: The Grand Cru will lift your expectations for what a dining experience can be to a point where it will be hard to enjoy a "normal" restaurant afterwards. That being said I have nothing but yearning for the amazing tastes I got to experience here and wish the kitchen team well!
Still one of my favourite places - fine dining, beautiful yet relaxed location, excellent and extremely friendly service - keep it up! Will be back soon.
Best wine selection in Prague (and for reasonable prices too). Food is great, definitely now on upward trajectory under talented chef duo. The desserts can use improvement, but nothing is ever perfect:). Cheers to great Barolo and White Burgundy;)
Dinner at Grand Cru was one of my favorite of many in Prague! Highly recommended. Attentive and friendly service. Nice atmosphere with great music. Flavorful, fresh, and interesting food that doesnt come off as trying too hard.
Modern cuisine derived from the heritage of the region. Its a stylish restaurant in the heart of the city. Quiet atmosphere and very good service will wait for you here. The dishes are almost like going to a Michelin experience, fine dining. Wake up your taste buds and try some special flavors and combinations.
We had several great culinary experiences in Prague, but this one surpasses them all.We had lunch here and chose to eat à la carte with wines by the glass. The waiter and sommelier were very helpful in choosing our dishes and drinks. The quality of the food was outstanding as was the quality of the service. We were seated in the wine tasting shack as there was a large private event in the main restaurant: this was a very cosy environment with wine-related cartoons and exquisite bottles all around.Expensive but worth a detour!
Very nice petite restaurant with friendly service. The lamb was excellent! Only the dessert was a weak point
One of the best meals I’ve ever had! We opted for the tasting menu and wine pairing on each dish. Each dish was beautifully plated. The wine varied from region to region my favorite was the Morovian wine. The service was very friendly and professional.
We had a very nice dining experience here! Great food and friendly service. Fine dining with a cozy atmosphere😊We ordered Tuna for starters and Cod and Veal for main course. The bread was also very good!!
Love this place. Amazing food and service. One of the nicest restaurants in Prague. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and each dish was absolutely packed with flavor without being too overbearing. Just enough where you want to indulge more. Absolutely beautiful food and restaurant. Service was excellent! 👍🏻👍🏻❤️
Loved it 5 years ago. Loved it now to.Fine dining but not snobby. Good for casual eating and black tie tooFood exceptional. Great wine selection. Cute small spot. Kids welcome (good behaved one)
Delicious food with a unique twist. Great experience and first time I’ve eaten baked yoghurt
Delicious food and wines! Had the tasting menu and wine paring, quite expensive for Prague, but worth the money.Attentive and friendly waiters. Will definitely recommend this place if youre looking for fine dining!
Quiet environment, good service, friendly staff, nice food, but not amazing enough.
Disappointing, the dishes have nice aesthetics but the materials are not tasty enough. Beef in broth was very dry and its quality was low. Rabbits thigh had pretty anemic flavour, not what I expected from a restaurant in this price level.Overall, go someplace else. Prague has enough fancy restaurants.
When I consider the level of the restaurant and the prices our visit was a bit of disappointment. The service seems to be quite amateurish and not that thoughtful, they let you wait sometimes and will not really help you with the choice of food or even wine although they were asked. Food is stylish and quite good quality, unfortunately on this level I would expect something with "awww" effect and that did not happen.
In love with design and that the reason why I chose this restaurant. However, I ordered ‘fish of the day’ was very good, but I don’t like that they didn’t write the meal price because it change everything day! Better if find another way for that !
Fantastic service and food .. 9 of us went without a reservation and they accomodated us .. made something special for the kids and the veggies ... each and every dish was super and the desserts were the best i have had in a long time ... must visit
A superb fine dining experience in an eloquent and modern restaurant. The service is impeccable.Wine list extraordinary. Over 5000 bottles of wine Im informed. The guests are 90% chezch which is a good opportunity to sample the best local cooking. Its moderately priced.Certainly knocking on the door for a Michelin star.We felt it was ever so slightly better than Portfolio Restaurant another superb fine dining experience.
Although it does not offer any Charles Bridge view, foods wise this place crushes any of the Michelin restaurants in the area and is undoubtedly the best restaurant I have tried in Prague!
Ambiance, food, and service are excellent. Im glad I stumbled upon it even though it is located in a sort of alley. It was kind of empty, which allowed for a great interaction with the bartender / server. He told me all about the restaurant: the chef, its history, and everything there is to know. Chef has worked at Michelin-rated restaurants, which explains the excellent food. The restaurant is not commonly known to tourists (like myself), as it is considered a hidden culinary gem in Prague. And company owners also distribute wine, so they carry a very wide variety of wines at a good price.Overall an incredible experience in Prague. Would love to come back.
