The hotel was nice is under renovation but be very carefull when you do the check out i did use the valet parking which I agree to pay (they were very nicebut this hotel charge almost 100$ for Resort fee which i never use...I use the the hotel just to go to sleep I call them and and the said the Resort fee is for using the towels and all the things in the room even if I got towels my own shampoo own water and everything I need ...i always carrie everything with me they need to be more honest and explain all the extra fee you will have once you do the check in if I recommend this hotel not really if you dont want a surprice bill once doing check out
I asked for them to heat up a heating pad in a microwave and said that there was no microwave on the entire property. I also asked for a bottle of water at 10pm and then they said that do not have any except for ordering room service. I am disappointed. I love everything about it other than the service! The location and everything is a 10/10
I have been staying here, every year, sometimes twice a year, for over 10 years and have always had a GREAT experience from the friendly staff, great food and rooms! Not this year! They have mostly new staff that were not very friendly. Seemed as though they had attitudes. The only people that were nice were the Valet parking staff and one the waitresses in the restaurant who had been working there for many years. We asked the front desk people if they could cut us a deal on the free parking promotion they were already running and they wouldnt even try to do that even though we have been loyal customers for over 10 years. We do not plan to come back here and will be searching for another hotel which is unfortunate because this place was my home away from home for so many years. Very disappointed in the customer service!
This hotel had a mildew smell and I paid $5.00 for a can of soda. A bottle of water was $7.00. $25.00 for a cheeseburger and fries. I would never step foot back there. I am from New Jersey and I wish I would have stayed there for my wedding anniversary. We were supposed to go to Puerto Rico but Fiona came now this smelly hotel. I cant win for losing
I am pretty upset about my recent stay. The hotel from what we could see of it (most of it was under constructionwas beautiful. I feel we should have been given a discount since the entire place was being renovated or at least been told that this was going to be the case. Then when we check in i’m told I still have resort fees to pay. I pay that and then after my stay I get charged $273 additionally for more resort fees and over night parking that I prepaid for online. They will nickle and dime you as much as they can here. We even asked for an ice bucket which is pretty standard at places like a Holiday Inn and they told us it was $7 to bring it up to our room. Pretty ridiculous.
This was my first time to South Beach and my daughter book and planned a wonderful trip for the family. When we arrived there was an issue with the total amount that was owed. The staff member she had spoken to gave her the wrong total. A total inconvenience. He also stated that there was complementary breakfast. She had stayed at the hotel before and it was not but he assured her you had it now. Needless to say he was wrong. The breakfast looked wonderful but everything was cold except the omelets because they made them in front of you. I was very disappointed because it was 35 dollars plus tip to eat cold food. Our AC stopped working in on of the rooms which they had no problem changing our room which was fine. The jacuzzis were not working on the 7th floor and there are two and only one on the first floor was working barely. The bar was closed on the 7th floor of course were only the adults should be. The housekeepers were very nice and did a wonderful job. We tried the breakfast buffet one more time and it was still a disappointment. No one came to the table to take out drink order and when we asked for help the waitress didnt speak English and never went to get someone to help. Finally the host can and took our order. When a waitress did come with the drinks she was very attentive. I cant remember her name but I believe it started with a M. Sorry I wish I could remember her name because she earned her tip. But the food was not good at all I cant tell you how disappointed I was. Then we go to the beach and needed towels. They never had towels I asked a guy at the station on the beach and he told me to go back to the hotel and they would have some. Another lady sppke to him in Spanish and then tells me no worries Ill go get them for you. Then proceeded to keep talking to the other coworker as if I was not important. They had a barrel full of wet towels. But no clean ones. Overall my experience was not good. I would probably not return to this establishment again. We stayed for a total of 4 nights the only other good thing I can say about this place is the view was amazing but you can get that at another hotel on the beach. I would not recommend this place to stay.
I booked our room directly through the resorts website with an offer "Florida resident rate" -10% off room rate, it included no resort fee, the valet feewaived, and complimentary drinks upon arrival. When my man checked in, he decided to upgrade from originally booked pool view suite, to an ocean view suite. The front desk did not give him the drink coupons. When I arrived, I asked the front desk about the coupons, and the woman argued with methat it was not part of the offer which I booked. I then looked at my reservation, and found that it did include the drinks. Wasnt so much about the drinks, more that they didnt provide what was included, and then proceeded to argue with us. Later on, after then speaking to supervisor (to includeconcerns/other issues, will touch on momentarilywe were told we could come down and pick up the coupons. no apology or anything.. that was the first of many things. The pools, both downstairs and especially the adults only one located on the 7th floor, were warm and not at all refreshing. The hot tubs were oddly and extremely disappointing, COLDER than the pools! When we brought to their attention, they tried ‘explaining’ why that was, but again no apology. More like trying to justify, and said strangely that they had the opposite issue day before.. which doesnt even make sense. carrying on.Customer service is definitely a major issue. it seems as though the staff are not even aware what the purpose is of the privacy card hanging on the door! Our last day, we had asked (at check infor a late check out (2pmand the cleaning staff knocked repeatedly at 11 am until I answered the door, she asked if checking out and when.?! Yet again, no apology, pretty frustrating to say the least.Went to restaurant on 7th floor for breakfast, only offers buffet.. we didnt know until we were sat, and then charged us $25 just for coffee and juice, after stating we werent really in a buffet mood, we were wanting a plated option. One evening we called down to front desk about tv programing issue, when the staff member promptly arrived, he wasnt able to help with the problem, and then proceeded to vent about his woes for a while, when we were trying to get ready and go to dinner. The bartender at the pool bar downstairs was unpleasant and took forever just to give us the drink menu, and seemed to be annoyed with serving us.The other restaurant staff members did not once greet us any time we approached area. Not all bad..We did order the tuna tacos at the adult pool and they were wonderfulWe ordered room service and that was pretty good and arrived quickThe espresso/pastry bar was wonderful the staff there were lovely and went above and beyond. The bellhop was courteous friendly. The beach access was convenient and it was nice to have the chairs with cushions (and umbrella if you wanted). The property was well kept and clean.Gym was excellent and had complimentary bottled waters. The rooms were spacious and clean, and having the two bathrooms with shower in one and bathtub in other, was an appreciated bonus. The view from our room was pretty and grateful for the balcony to sit and take it all in.
Its not typical south beach. More for if u want a location to just relax and not leave local area. Other hotels such as Nobu or FountainBlue are right next door 5 mins walking with 6 restaurants and bar inside. Rooms are beautiful, the pool area and beach are quiet at this time of the year. Bring your own drinks, theirs are over priced but do taste ok.
the rooms is very outdated, The bathroom are horrible ( the toilet is very old and the flush is barely workingthe tv is not working..the staff are nice and friendly the location is amazing. just get ready to pay lots of fees plus the room cost as the hotel has nothing free. it was oky
I stayed with my wife and daughters but this hotel is not by any means a family friendly place. First impresión while walking to our room was the overwhelming smell of Marijuana on our floor. Then once in the room the main shower had hairs left behind, the room was not dirty but not clean at least not to our standards. The main pool area was lacking cleanliness as well. Beach was nice and crew there was very nice kind of made up for the rest! We were promised a wine bottle which we did not receive….we checked out the same day we got there.Reservation was under my wife’s name Michelle Rivera
Views were nice. I left a charger in the room and tried sending emails twice through the website. BUT I did not get anything back… Therefore I called them but all they said is to wait a couple more days. It’s been almost 3 weeks since I emailed the first time and 2 weeks since I called. Disappointed that such a big hotel would had lack of service.
The Grand Beach Hotel is a beautiful facility. The staff are amazingly attentive. The rooms are super clean. The hotel has 2 spectacular pools and beach access. We had an amazing stay and we’re sad to leave by the end. Definitely will be coming back!!
We went to Miami for a few days in the sun and found this GEM of a hotel. The front deck people were friendly and passionate about assisting. The room was ocean front with full panoramic views of the beach and ocean for as far as you can see. The room itself was very clean and loved the furniture colors and textures... very classy and warm! BUT, I will say that the most amazing part of the trip was the staff at the restaurant and pool bar. A very special and warm thank you to all of the staff. Especially Wendy, Joel, Gisele from Brazil, Isabel, and the bartender with the dark rimmed glasses (you know which one I mean). All of these people made our trip incredible by going above and beyond to remember our names and our drink preferences. We left last Sunday feeling completely satisfied and amazed at how far the hotel would go to make our visit so comfortable. If you are looking for a centrally located hotel with all of the amenities and incredible service this is your place. You are a 10 min Uber ride to South Beach to do the touristy things but not staying in SB is my recommendation due to the crowds. With this hotel you get the best of both worlds.
Great view of the beach from the ocean view rooms/balcony. Very spacious rooms. Staff is outstanding. Quiet location..
Upon check in. Spanish girl with dark rim glasses notifies us, room is not ready for another 2 hours. If I would like to upgrade for 50$ more per night. I decline and say I’ll wait. She then proceeds to call someone then notified us that it is ready. Clearly a gimmick to make people who are tired pay more to go into the room faster. This is nasty business tactic that clearly stems from management. She has nothing to gain by doing this unless instructed to do so. Valet guys are slow. Have to wait 10mn to get my car, even when I call ahead, might as well get and park my own car. 7th floor adult pool BAR was only open on Saturday. How hard is to to man a bar with 1 person? Towel are hidden with no sign stating where they are. On my 3rd day I discovered them. That welcome drink no one tells u what it is upon check in. Apparently it’s a drink in ur fridge beer or wine? Decently price for hotels in the nearby area. Nice beach and pool area.
Grand Beach Hotel charged us $1000 for a stay we could not make because of weather conditions where there was a hurricane in the area preventing us to get to Miami in early June 2022. There was an advisory for the hurricane from the National Hurricane Center, telling people to avoid that area during that weekend. Our flights were canceled and there are videos of actual flooding happening in Miami during that weekend. Grand Beach hotel did not handle the situation well and hid behind "company cancelation policy" even though there is also a company policy to provide a refund if there is a natural disaster. This hotel and its management are fraud and taking money from customers without even providing a service. We reached out to them several times via phone and email and they were dismissive and eventually unresponsive. It speaks volumes how poorly Grand Beach Hotel handled this situation, with no integrity or concern for their customers safety.
We stayed for 3 nights with a family of 4. The biggest positive I have is that they do not charge for the lounge chairs and umbrella on the beach!! But man is this place EXPENSIVE! Breakfast buffet is $35++ for adults and $20++ for CHILDREN. The website lists accessible parking, on site parking and valet parking. What they FAIL to mention is that it is ONLY valet parking to the tune of $49 per day plus tax. We ordered food while on the beach and it was delicious, just overly expensive! There’s a price list for the mini bar that’s included in the room and at the bottom of it, it says there will be a $25 charge to have it emptied so you can use the fridge. We just took everything out and replaced it before we left. There were two pools and two hot tubs. The sign said they close at 6pm, yet we couldn’t even get a towel to dry off after 4:30pm. One of the pools was hotter than one of the hot tubs, so not refreshing at all. There’s a small deli type counter that you can get pastries and coffee.. Two black coffees and two bagels with cream cheese was $28. Plan on emptying your wallet when you come to Miami!
Amazing place with amazing views and nice staff. Clara Quintero in the lobby helped us with all the questions we had, and was very kind and nice. The cleanest hotel I have been in miami beach and beautiful view of the beach and sunrise.
I love this place. This is my favorite place to stay. Everything was absolutely amazing. Ronel the server did a incredible job throughout my stay. Also the Ghanaian manager is awesome I love this place! If you are reading the reviews to stay at his place go ahead and book your stay - you will not regret it. I never got this kind of great experience at a hotel before so I had to write a review . Moving forward I am only staying here . Ronel deserve a raise , Ronel personality, attitude, customer service and everything that he provided was A1. keep providing great services and stay safe .
I got a day pass to the hotel, and spent the day at the outdoor pools and the beach. Everything was clean and inviting. The food and drinks were excellent. The only thing I disliked was that one of the large pools was about 100° F. It was oppressive, and all but unusable. You dont go to a pool in Miami in August to warm up. I did not get a room, so I cant speak to that, but I enjoyed my experience.
This hotel is very affordable The service was perfect Our room was perfect. From the front door checking in your car To every staff member in the hotel It was just a great experience. This was my 2nd time staying here Im coming back with the family the next time. This is how I want to Live when I travel.
The attitude of the hotel staff is really bad. We booked a room with two beds and they gave me a room with one bed. They told me that if I changed rooms, I would have to pay more. I had already added the money when I booked a room on the website, he said. I paid him on a third-party platform no matter what
Great location. Couple of issues, like my room key didnt work twice until they changed my room. Also orders an $80 room service breakfast with a stack of pancakes and didnt get syrup until I called (multiple times with no answer)and asked for it. The 7th floor adult only pool was awesome.
Part 2 of Vacay Review :Overall I am excited to say Grand Beach Hotel is a place where you can relax and enjoy your stay. I am pleased to say that the staff of GBH is professional and polite at all times. The views are beyond words can describe. Though all was not perfect at GBH the staff made it as if it was. I am comfortable to say GBH will be a consideration for a 2nd visit and stay here at Miami Beach. Thank You GBH for everything and everyone that made our stay pleasing and wonderful. See you next time!Guest1930
The price is good. Other than that the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. The staff seemed to be annoyed whenever you asked them anything and the rooms weren’t very clean. Food at the pool was descent but if you are looking for a memorable weekend I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
Had a great stay at this hotel, room was clean, well decorated and spacious, amenities were great too. Had a relaxing time at the pool, even went to the beach since its on such a great location. The staff was amazing, Maritza at the minibar was fabulous.I would definitely come back, thanks for making my stay special and relaxing.
Visited this hotel for 3 days during our roudtrip in Florida with 2 Kids of 4 and 8 years old. The view is very nice out of the seaview suite. If ever you visit this hotel make sure you avoid room 1133 since its wet, mould on the ceiling and stinking like an old cellar! After having changed to another, similar room our stay enhanced a lot and we enjoyed the beach and the facilities. The pools are way too hot and salty but OK. Price and service dont match like it should but it was nice anyway.
Just came back from the hotel it’s super clean, all the staff members are super nice. But everything in the hotel is super expensive including Parking 49 per night . The cheapest thing that I bought was 6 Coca-Cola for $ 38 dollars so just imagine the drinks at the pool bar. The only reason why I am giving 4 star it’s because the ridiculous prices
Very good location, staff very supportive, rooms are sized enough to enjoy the stay at beach side. Ocean view rooms are really charming , clean, well furnished a rewarding experience for couples and family with kids.Swimming pools is very enjoyable and beach is really perfect and one of best places to enjoy the sun and swimming with family.
Beautiful hotel, awesome location, 2 pool bars, staff very friendly and helpful, all adult area was very peaceful and nice, loved everything about this hotel.. cant wait to go back
Very comfortable and quiet in the 2 bedroom penthouse. The ocean front view and the mini fridge is spacious to fit all of our favorite drinks. The complimentary lounge chairs and umbrellas are nice, but they definitely expect to be tipped, so we did every day along with cleaning ladies because they work very hard. Dont forget to bring plenty of 5 and 1 dollar bills with you. The staff is so friendly. Id definitely come back, and make sure to get the corner suite.
We had a great time at Grand Beach Hotel. The staff were amazing and it made the experience very pleasant.Hotel has a private beach with beds and umbrella which is nice.Location is great if you want to spend most of your time at the hotel. There is really nothing around it walking distance. Also the rooms are a bit outdated. The fan noise for the AC was also very loud and did not get the best sleep the 4 nights we spent there.
Pros:- great views- great amenities (glad they had an adult only pool as someone who doesn’t have kids, but they had a big pool area for families which was great)- needed a package delivered for work last minute, Sid working the front desk went the extra mile and delivered it to my room the moment it arrived even though I knew his shift was ending soon. Great customer service.- Wendy was lovely at the Chez Gaston. All the servers were great: overall great customer service- easy Beach access, lots of pools and fun stuff to doCons:- very pricey restaurant, but that might be typical for everything in these resorts. My first meal of a cocktail and spaghetti ran me over $60 for 1 person- no complimentary nothing: no breakfast, no bottled water, just a few toiletries. Definitely felt like they’re trying to squeeze every penny out of you
I’ve been coming back to Grand Beach Hotel for years. Even few times a year. I think that explains everything ☺️ Great location, clean rooms wonderful stuff. You will have a beautiful view from any room you book here, But ocean fronts are the best. My special thanks to Kenner ( I hope I have his name right ), manager at Grand Beach Hotel ( I hope I have his position right too. 😂 he handled my request of super late check out in a matter of minutes. No extra charge. That was a nice complement to a returning customer. Thank you Grand Beach Hotel and i hope to return soon ☺️
Just got home from a beautiful mini vacation with friends. The hotel has a relaxed, but fun and upscale resort vibe. We stayed in a 2 room king suite. The suite was clean, spacious and had a luxurious feel. We enjoyed the adult only pool on the top floor with sweeping views of the beach. The roof top bar was great for midday drinks and lunch (Thai tom Collins was killer). The beach chairs were comfortable and the towel service and Sunbum SPF offered around the hotel was a plus. It was fantastic resort and Id definitely stay again. However, the price of coffee was ridiculous $7 for a small, $10 for a large drip...a hotel shouldnt gouge its guests on something so inexpensive, that was very disappointing.
The Grand Beach Hotel at Miami is the worst hotel with the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. We had to cancel our friends bachelorette trip to Miami, which meant cancelling our reservation at the hotel due to the recent hazardous and life threatening Level 4 weather conditions - advisory released by the NOAA National Weather Service. The weather was hazardous enough that our flights got cancelled as well. Were asking for a full refund since the cancellation was due to circumstances not in our control. Weve called multiple customer service agents, escalated to their reservations manager, and revenue manager, but we still haven’t been issued a full refund. The hotel claims that they cannot offer us a refund coz they believe the weather conditions aren’t bad enough. Meanwhile, our flights got cancelled, the NOAA released a level 4 advisory of tropical cyclones, tornadoes, and a hurricane watch, and there is enough evidence on social media of massive flooding in the area as well. Even still the hotel would rather have us put our lives at risk so we can satisfy their unethical refund policy! The Grand Beach Hotel charging us for cancellation due to Force Majeure is unethical and fraudulent. The reservation manager stated if we provide her proof of flight cancellation then they will offer a refund - since then we’ve provided proof of flight cancellation and multiple weather advisory stating not to travel to Miami, but we haven’t got a single reply! Instead reservation agents keep sending us automated responses, keep changing the reasons for not giving us a refund, and continue to down play the safety concerns of the situation. This is negligence and fraud - when there is a national weather advisory regarding unsafe travel conditions and the hotel insists on keeping our money! Terrible hotel, terrible customer service, terrible management, and clearly the hotel doesn’t care about their customers safety - all they care about is money!
I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with this hotel. The A/c is loud kept me up at night, the late night room service is disgusting, the shower leaked in other rooms other than the bathroom, everything is over priced, oh yea one of the hot tubs is broken, staff is rude, I am still waiting on my room deposit after almost a month and keep getting the run around on the deposit. The room was checked out as is as we only stayed there to sleep and shower. I want my refund deposited IMMEDIATELY I do not care if it was only $400 money is money.
I was greeted with smiles as soon as i got out of my car and inside the hotel to check in. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our rooms were super clean and spacious, great food, poolside was great and so was the staff there and on the beach. Basil was phenomenal! Such great hospitality and genuine. Definitely my go to place for my Miami getaways. Thank you again! 😊
If I had to use one word to describe this place, it would be Stale. The only thing the hotel has going for it is the location and the rooms being spacious. The hotel staff is not eager to help. They’re not interested in helping navigate issues or make your stay better. The worst offenders were the beach attendants. They sit in their hut talking on the phone the entire time. We would’ve been happy to get some overpriced drinks if anyone would’ve taken the time to offer is any. One of the guys at the beach started Facetiming his friend at some point. He was so loud and rambunctious that I had to put on noise canceling head phones. The management should be on top of that behavior. The last day we asked for 1pm checkout. This was on a Wednesday with he hotel basically empty. Instead of being nice they told us they would allow it for an extra $199. That’s just rude when the hotel is empty. My wife could’ve used a quiet place to take a business call. Instead she had to hide in the lobby’s bathroom.Lastly, the hotel gives off an unexciting vibe. We walked south on the beach boardwalk and immediately noticed a much livelier vibe from the pools of similarly priced hotels.I wouldn’t recommend the Grand Beach. Much nicer options for a similar price right down the road.
Love this hotel! This is not our first time staying here and we will definitely come back in the future. Love how staff pays attention to the smallest details and makes sure we enjoy our time here. Special thanks to Sio, our check in process was very quick and he was very helpful!
We were very disappointed with the quality of this 4 star hotel. The rooms are quite expensive and are really more of a 3 star quality. The wood floors in the rooms are very damaged, there is no countertop in the bathroom and just a wobbly pedestal sink so theres nowhere to place toiletries. The hotel only provides one towel per person and no washcloths. Also the food is very overpriced and the hotel adds 20% tips on everything, even take away coffee from the coffee bar. The beach and pools are nice, but Im sure there must be better value along the beach at other hotels. The main thing going for this hotel is the beachside location.Shoutout to the nice concierge and female bartender who were very good and friendly.
Everything was great: the pools are amazing, the staff specially the waiters are very kind, professional and helpful, the suite is very spacious and beautifully decorated, the views from the balcony of downtown Miami and the beach are breathtaking. I didn’t give full stars because the bathrooms cleanliness was not very good. Found hairs in the shower drain when we checked in and it had a funky smell. After we got room service the bathrooms were not smelling fresh and clean, but had this unpleasant odour.
My 5 year old son found finger nail clippings on the window ledge, when we let the front desk know all they did was come change the bed sheets?? They also don’t mop, I got hives on my legs and tested positive for Covid after 3 days of being there!! Very unsanitary hotel specially for the price, don’t be fooled by the clean lobby, it’s the only thing that is clean.
Where do I start… I booked my stay here at the grand beach back in March for May. I called the hotel to confirm my reservation in March and was emailed a receipt of my remaining charges after I paid the deposit. Upon arrival, I called and asked for early check in because I was told by one of the hotel staff members that was an option for me due to my plane arriving early. When I called the hotel, someone told me that if I was to check in early, I would have to pay an additional $100 plus taxes…. At this point I felt as if I was being scammed out of my money. When I called back I asked to speak with a manager and she stated that “I don’t know why anyone would tell you that, your room is already ready”… red flag number one. When arriving at the hotel, my receipt that I was emailed back in March said I had a $1529 remaining balance. While checking in they coincidentally threw in an additional $300 for a “security deposit”, when this amount was not initially listed on my receipt with the other taxes and fees. The front desk staff does a horrible job at communicating with each other and with the guests. If I was told one price, why are they trying to change it as I’m checking in??? Red flag number 2. Second the room was nice but it was definitely not worth the price AT ALL. The toilets are hard to flush, the sink in the smaller bathroom drain slow, and the room was poorly renovated. The food is stupidly expensive and they charge for every little thing. The only good/nice thing about this hotel is the fact that we have beach access where they provide lounge chairs, umbrellas, and towels… and secondly the pools were nice. However; The hot tubs did not work most of the time. Overall I am disappointed that I stayed here and would not recommend to anyone. There are much better hotels in the surrounding areas.
Horrible miscommunications and billing issues with staff, AC not working in room, etc. My friends and I booked a pre Mother’s Day vacay at this hotel, and will never go back. We had verbal confirmation that we would be able to early check in our suite when our flights arrived at 12:30am, for a charge of $200, so we cancelled our reservation at the hotel by the airport. When we arrived at the hotel as planned at 1:15 am, we were told by the night manager that this was impossible, and we couldn’t possibly get in our room until 3:30 am, even though she could see in the notes that we were told we could get in at 1:30. She later changed her story and said we could get in our rooms at 2am, and that she would reduce the early check in charge to $150 for our troubles. Upon checking out a few days later, we discovered that we were charged the full $650 for that particular night, instead of the $150 we were told. The hotel is still refusing to right this wrong a week later.
I was extremely unhappy with the service of the hotel. The front desk was not welcoming at all, the ladies need to know how to speak to the guest as well. The food was overly pricey and not good. valet guys were very helpful.Wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!
Definitely not a luxury hotel. Overall it is ok, clean but terrible customer service. Don’t expect your drinks be handed to you at the pool. You have to walk to the bar every time. Only one waitress for beach and pool (yes only one which is mainly at the beach). They include tip in everything (including coffee at the coffee shop and the drinks you had to go get yourself. I don’t mind paying $25.32 for casa amigos margaritas if I have the vip treatment but this is completely over price for the level of service. Our room looked modern but bathrooms are outdated and had limited towels, don’t expect hand towels or any complementary bottles of water. The hotel also only had one restaurant which was very basic.
Hotel looks very nice but reception appears to be unorganizedArrived to get changed for the wedding of my son who had booked a penthouse suite with balcony & sea views for 2 nights for his bride to be & her bridesmaids, flower girls, & myself to get ready for the wedding & the second night for the newly married couple. On arrival my son found the penthouse suite he had paid for nearly a year ago had been let to someone else so he was given two interconnecting rooms, no balcony & restricted sea view.I arrived later than the bride to be with the 2 young flower girls & their mother, asked at reception for the room number & they sent us to the original penthouse. We went their as my son was hoping to be transferred after complaining but found no one answering the door. Going back to reception a man came back to the penthouse to unlock the door to find it unoccupied, no one in there whatsoever. Back to reception again & the only way they could direct us to the correct room was by telephoning the bride to be.I find this whole episode completely unacceptable for a hotel of this standard & would not recommend it
Worst hotel! Pics look nice, but its awful! Stayed 3 nights in a two-bedroom bay view suite. AC was leaking on arrival at 1:30 am, told to wait while they "fixed" it which took 45 mins. The next night it leaked again. Nothing worse than waking up to a flooded room and dripping water at 5 am. We had to call the front desk 3 times, text the concierge twice, go to the front desk in person, and call two Expedia reps (the first rep couldnt get through to the hotel and was on hold for over 20 mins because of "high call volume"). This process took 3 days before the hotel agreed to switch us to another room. They told us multiple times that they were fully booked even though it showed a similar room available on Expedia and the hotels own website--the entire time! The floor flooded from one bedroom to another we had to use all our bath towels to soak up the water. Also, no towels at the swimming pool one night, we had to track down our own towels so the kids could swim. And good luck finding ice, the machines are on every other floor, but most were broken. I saw a room service waiter and asked him where a machine was and he directed me to a broken machine. Another guest saw me searching with my ice bucket and told me where to go to find a working machine (from the 19th floor I had to go to 14 to get ice). The guest said he had tried every floor the previous day and 14 was the only working machine he could find. The beach waitress didnt show up to take orders until 12:30 pm. She took 45 mins to get us two drinks, and one arrived with a bug in it. She acted like it was my fault when I handed it back and showed her the bug. Even loudly telling the guest next to us, "be careful not to let a bug fly in your drink" and cackling. The front desk staff was the worst, so unhelpful and outright rude! We were not the exception, we saw multiple guests complaining and even yelling in frustration at the front desk staff over multiple issues. They wouldnt even break a $20 for us to tip the valet. Rudely saying, "we dont do that here." We had to ask the valet for change. Finally, on our last day Rudy (a manageragreed to move us rooms and sent a nice fruit tray, and saying they would waive the room charges for the first two days (for parking and the resort feeas a courtesy for our trouble. Then at checkout of course those charges were still on the bill and we had to argue with the front desk to get them waived. The valets and housekeeping staff were kind. I felt bad they have to work with such awful people. I couldnt wait to leave! Definitely not worth the $1,000 a night we paid! Stay anywhere else!
Great location and ocean front rooms are Amazing views. Food and drinks were good. Close walk to beach and hotel beach staff amazing. The adult tranquil pool and hot tub with ocean views were relaxing and enjoyable. Was told I was in a renovated room but it was not truly renovated. Corners were rusted and old fixtures still in room and mattress not renovated
