Grand Bahía Ocean View Hotel in Mayagueez

As soon as you walk in the lobby you are greeted by a very friendly receptionist. It smells so good too! Our room was perfect! Very clean! The bed is very comfortable! Cold ac, and it also smells very good!

Blankets were dirty, bathroom had no hot water, ceiling in bathroom was covered in mold, fan in bathroom looked rusted out.Room was cute and has potential. Just needs some TLC.

Great location,with a mini market besides the hotel.Great price.I love it.

The bed was HARD AS A ROCK, Very uncomfortable, the pillows and sheets were thin as paper. The Bathroom was very small, the towels were also very small and rough feeling, cheap material, no electrical outlet for like a hair blower or flat iron either. One electrical outlet available in the whole room. Very weak shower water pressure and the water took a while to heat up. No coffee maker, just a small fridge. Balcony has no furniture so there’s no point of having a balcony. You can hear all the pool commotion and the roads traffic from the room. If you get to the room late, finding parking is very tight. The wifi signal was very weak, could not use.The pool area was nice but did not use the facility. There’s also a security guard at night which is nice. The property and room were clean with the exception of the bathroom fan, it was very old and super dirty like it had been years since it was dusted. It was 7 very long uncomfortable nights here! Unless upgrades and changes are made, I will not be coming back to this hotel.

Great little hotel close to beaches and restaurants.

Pros: Good parking, quiet area, really loved the pool area, comfortable bed, amicable staff.Cons: The fans that filter the air in the bathroom were quite dirty, months (if not yearsof dust accumulation. No elevators.

Its in the middle of nowhere so you definitely need a car. The pools are tiny so if there is a family using it, youll have to wait. We waited 6 hours to get a room even though it was ready. We werent aloud to check in till 3 on the nose. It was a bad start to our trip because we caught a 12 am flight. Flight was delayed and we got to the island at 630am. Got a car, drove 2 hours to the hotel and had to sleep in the car because they would let us check in. Lucky we had a car.

Nice, clean and managed by courteous employees. Some minor maintenance issues need some fixing though...

The room was very clean, but the bathroom not so much, definitely the whole hotel needs some renovations, pool area was ok. The hotel had nothing to offer like at least coffee, just some vending machines, but most people these day have no cash. Very close to the "poblado" in Boqueron. But to high of price for the type of hotel! But the bed was ok comfortable!

It is a very good hotel and the best is its location. It is very close from the best beaches of Puerto Rico such as El Bye and Boqueron.

It was very comfortable, but is not handicap accessible. We were on second floor with a gorgeous view.

GREAT LOCATION (several minutes from EL POBLADO de BOQUERÓN and other amenities), spacious/clean/well-furnished apartments (bring cooking utensils), AWESOME lounging spaces (two pools), child/pet-friendly environment... 🥰

It was overall an uncomfortable place to stay. We checked in to a large spacious apartment style, but it was not very furnished. The curtains were thin and cheaply mounted with many little pieces missing like knobs and toilet paper rolls and handles. It was just very run down. Couches ripped and stained, a wash cloth still sitting on an oversized dresser that stopped the bathroom door from closing. There was no hot water, and in the morning we tried to use the stove and it blew out power in the whole building. There were no amenities like coffee pots or basic dishes, there was shampoo but no conditioner. no lamps by the beds. The one thing i will say is they were very nice to deal with and understood our disappointment

I stayed in a suite and the house keeper stole a brand new pair of sneakers. They called her and is having her bring them back under the disguise of having to get key to unlock storage. They called and confirmed she had them. Theives!!!!!!!!

This hotel complex consists of 3 buildings, I got a super nice suite with 2 bedrooms. Clean, quiet, very nice view and it has 2 pools. Close to some sweet spots on the west coast. The lady at the reception was super nice and gave me some good recommendations for the area. Highly recommended!

Light goes out on the white and blue building only because the main building is the only building with a generator (its on the contract that it does happens and you will NOT get your money back if you want to leavewindows dont shut properly so cockroaches come inside the room. Shower heads are clogged. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are clean.

Found this place on Airbnb that I booked through and stayed two nights . Very economical for the price. The check in process was very easy and they followed all possible COVID-19 precautions, so that’s nice to see. Yes, the rooms themselves could use some work but overall no complains. Again, for the price it was great. Location is good too. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the beach or about a 2 minute drive or so. When I come back, I’d definitely stay here again. Very convenient access off the main highway.

Not bad for the price. Goodlocation. Needs some upgrading .Apartments Need more privacy. Curtains are too clear everyone can see inside from the outside. Nice balcony with no chairs.Will be perfect to have entertainment area inside the facility- besidesthe pool.

Im a Travel Agent and I want to write a review according to the feedback they gave me. 1st GREAT COSTUMER SERVICE ( Staff were Nice & Friendlybesides the the rooms were SPARKLE CLEAN and DESINFECTED. The 2 pools was very nice and clean 👌, Private and FREE PARKING was a BIG PLUS for them. Have a BEAUTIFUL OCEAN VIEW. The location was great for them & nearby all the beautiful beaches they want it to visit and near other tourist attractions. They were very pleased with everthing and told me they will return next time visiting the island.I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting P.R. They were so happy that I will be staying here next time I visit the island. Thanks soooo much VISTA DE LA BAHIA for making my 2 clients to have a GREAT EXPERIENCE @ your hotel.

Great bargain. Clean rooms and common areas. Awesome view of Boquerón beach (3 minute drive to Poblado). Beds could use better frame support but fairly comfortable. Friendly front desk staff, although overworked (just need to be a little patient and they will get to you). Room are undersized but adequate. Cant ask for more for the price. Get the job done. Will be back later this year.

False advertising, "room with a seaview and mountain views" was on the ground level and all that could be seen was an ugly parking lot. Plus, the one window in my room had a broken shade which could not be opened. When I asked them to fix it, they never did, and they refused a refund. Worst hotel experience Ive ever had.

The only reason I give it 2 stars is because it has a pool and a little pool for kids, also the view is nice. Other than that the cable dont work, the rooms are small and I had a room with a broken mirror, parking sucks, no elevator and I was on the 3rd floor no laundry facilities. Nice staff.

This place is spic and span clean, u can see and smell cleanliness. It has a view to Cabo Rojo bay (bahiaand the beach water super clean, warm and inviting. Over all Beautiful.🇵🇷 🇵🇷 🇵🇷.

The place its ok, but it needs some updated. On our room it was no hot water, the frame of the bed has the center support broken, this make us feel like we were sleeping on a hole, and the toilet those not hold water on the water tank. Also, there not black out curtains.

Beware! This place refused to return my deposit after they claimed I stole a pillow. Even if their false claim was true, a pillow would never cost $50. I recommend you go somewhere else, with honest service.

I chose this hotel because it was the only one available that is pet friendly. since I arrived I wanted to cancel the reservation, the only nice thing was the view and it was not from the room. You cant sleep, you can hear the noises from the street and people in the corridor, the dirty towels that I had to ask to be changed, no hot water, broken doors, windows and bed. the bathroom extremely small, and the tv has no signal. I had to go to the pharmacy to buy benadryl because something made us itch. unfortunately I have to give a star if it were for me none.

Its a nice play with a nice sunset view and lounge areas. Very cold rooms.. And with the thin fleece sheet provided we had to turn the AC up to 86 to sleep comfortably...I loved the potperri aroma in the buildings.After car camping for 4 nights. I expected to be more comfortable in the bed. But I found that the pillow is too thin and the bed is too hard and dips into the center with two people..The town is gorgeous and this place is nearby to rest your head after.Our room on the second floor by the road.It is extremely loud and woke us up several times through the night. Due to motorcycles and speaker trucks etc. Going by..The hallway is very loud with noise echo. Every door that closes sounds like a jail cell slamming shut. Which also disturbed sleep cycle and relaxation.

I stay for two nights, as I came for my father’s passing, check out and forgot my iwatch call ball a three hours later and they tell me they didn’t find it!! What a service!! They had no hot water

When booking, the reservation described the room as ocean view and balcony. You can see the ocean but not from the room and the room was on the 1st floor so the balcony was basically a small space between the room and a rail that is next to the parked cars. You can hear everything going on outside, both from the hallway and the "balcony" ( could also hear people dragging furniture upstairs. The door to the room had a huge crack and there was also a big gap between the bolt and strike plate. One can easily open the door, even if locked, by pushing hard enough or using something to push the bolt from the outside. The Direct Tv in the room lost it signal every few minutes. One of the towels that was in the room was full of holes ( looked worn out and we had to ask for a replacement. At arrival we learned that they only clean the room if your stay is for 3 nights or more. The room looked dated and in need of a renovation. There is not a positive thing to say other than the staff at the front desk was attentive.

After a day of enjoying the areas beaches running on a jet ski, arriving at the hotel vista de la bahia was a super experience. When I was looking for a hotel that was complying with the covid-19 protocols, I found the hotel vista de la bahia. easy access. the hotel is not new, but the maintenance of all areas is impeccable. easy and safe check in and check out. clean rooms and have all new equipment, a / c, tv, mini fridge. good security and close to everything you need when traveling.

Not a luxury hotel, but it has the basics for a night or two. Rooms are very small, hallways and stairs are narrow. Room has a small refrigerator, but clean. Theres no staff after 9 pm, until 9 am, while all doors remain open. The bay view is amazing, especially from the 3rd floor. The location is excellent with respect to beaches and local restaurants, but a vehicle is required, which is normal for most of Puerto Rico.

Room was comfortable except for the bathroom that was tiny..but room had a good view and very good location...but I give it only 3 stars because our bed was very uncomfortable and needs replacing. Not sure if I will visit again.

Great customer service. Part of our group had car problems and the staff was a big help. They let us use the pool and grill after check-out while we were waiting on the car to be fixed.

Horrible, when we arrived to the room, there was no hot water and the pressure was very low. No one around to help, due to the office closed at 8pm. The next day we had to wait until the office open at ,9:20. Employee was late. They put us in another room. The TV didnt work and the AC we could not control. The room was very cold. We had a family emergency the following day. We had to wait again to check out at 9:30. Because no one was available in the office to help us. Will not waste my money staying there. Poor service. The cleaning lady was very nice. But the service is horrible. No star for this hotel. No knowledge how to run a hotel. Unfortunately, I had to give a star for posting.

All staff members were really friendly and sincerely helpful. Loved the apartment!! It was really nice. Also the pool was great and absolutely LOVED that it is pet friendly, and your pets stay for free!! Cant beat that!!! Definitely a place to stay when you visit the West coast. Literally 5 minutes from 2 of the most beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico. Playa Buye and Balneario Boqueron...Awesome 💜

The hotel seems kind of nice but they fail in the basics. When we got there, there was a huge line for check in and only one person attending customers. Our room didn’t have any towels or bathroom kit (soap, conditioner, etc). When we complained they said the towels were in the laundry and they would place them in our apartment as soon as they were washed. We had a tour to do and when we came back at night there were no towels and absolutely no one from staff in the entire hotel to help us out.

Great find. Nice and quiet. Very clean. 2 great pools. Staff was awesome. This is the place to relax. Plenty of nearby restaurants. The view of the Bay is great.

The worst experience of my life. Booked for 3 days and stayed only 1 night, stained towels, no hot water, 1 pillow each, 1 towel each no lock on windows or door. Pool door open to the street all night and pool light goes on at 11:00 pm with a spot light facing your room. Not even a cup to drink water in. Not a comfort to be found, it felt unclean... never again!!!

Our bathroom had purple hair on the shower tiles left by previous guests (I assume), the plastic shower curtain was full of soap scum (these cost about $1and the tile in the hand wash had reddish stains. The shampoo left in the bathroom was already opened. The actual room seemed clean but clearly the bathroom was not touched after being used.

Down in the Southwest corner of the island of Puerto Rico is a small town called Boqueron. There are a handful of nice little resorts to stay at. This Resort has a lot of nice features including multiple pools and a "View of the Ocean Bay.". Which explains the name. They have a super friendly staff here and they speak plenty of English so if you dont speak Spanish you can get around just fine. The cleaning staff is very friendly and they ask you each morning if you would like your room done. Theres also a nice pot of good strong Puerto Rican coffee available down in the kitchenette on the main floor every morning. Its affordable and its clean. I highly recommend! And I will be back! -Joey

Service was great, nice experience. Rooms were nicely clean. Very comfy. Pools were clean including surrounding areas. Front desk personnel was awesome. Highly recommended.

We booked 1 room and 1 apartment for a weekend here and I must say it is an amazing place. It is 5 minutes from Buyé Beach and El Poblado en Boquerón. Even though is close to Cabo Rojos attractions it is also in a secluded and very quiet place. The apartment is huge and has: stove, microwave, refrigerator, etc. It has 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms, tv with cable, two pools and coffee in the mornings. This is truly a great place to stay with a big group of family and friends. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Very nice hotel to stay and be relax, beautiful sea view! The room is super clean and comfy, great air conditioner and bath. Its near of everything if you want to stay in Cabo Rojo.

A+++++ customer service. Jodie is freaking awesome. He waited till we arrived to check us in even after he was done for the day. He was funny and outgoing. He made it very pleasant after having a nasty experience at another hotel. The location is great theres much to do in the area by the beach especially on the weekends. Theres 2 pools. Very nice. Bbq grill, hot tube, free WiFi, roku internet tv, comfy beds, very clean rooms. Secured location cameras everywhere.. a lot of parking space, pet friendly, fridge in rooms and air is very cold. Def recommend . Great all around ... It was a pleasure staying here.

Nice place after last minute overnight stay. Clean room, nice pool, friendly staff. Only complaint minimal parking, no blow dryer, coffee with munchie donuts not my idea of a continental breakfast. Would recommend.
