Gout De Meknes in Meknes

After waking a few minutes, we found the restaurant. Everything about this place was excellent. The price range was arr. 10€/tajine, but after some dissappointing restaurants, this place & the price you pay is totally worth it. The host was super nice. I took the pastilla & it was delicious. I can’t stop saying how great it was. We will sure come back!

Encontramos el sitio porque nos lo recomendaron en la calle. Nos ofrecieron 3 menús del día dónde podías elegir 1, 2 o 3 platos.Elegimos 3 segundos, una ensalada y tajin de verduras, de cous cous y otro dulce que se llamaba algo similar a pastilla.Nos ha gustado mucho todo, y además el chico súper majo.Al final nos ha enseñado alfombras que hacia, y muy bien. Cero presiones, muy simpático.Recomendable.

Couscous de carne y una ensalada marroqui , todo muy rico. Con agua grande 140dh. Que nos hayan puesto Unas aceitunas de aperitivo siempre gana :)

Muy buen restaurante con una vista muy bonita, desde la azotea.Recomiendo comer tajin. Nos podemos el de pollo y limón.Los precios no son los más baratos de la zona, pero lo merecen.

Exceptionnel! Nous sommes accueillis très chaleureusement, les plats sont divins: une cuisine familiale savoureuse et de qualité ! Bravo à la maman cuisinière! La pastilla est exceptionnelle! Toute la famille est d’une gentillesse, n’hésitez pas à vous rendre en face dans la coopérative de tapis où vous rencontrerez le papa, vous passerez un excellent moment et découvrirez des tapis artisanaux de qualité, même sans acheter ça vaut le coup d’œil. Et l’endroit au milieu de la médina est superbe, la terrasse a une vue magnifique sur le minaret de la grande mosquée, très agréable d’y manger le soir il y fait très bon.

Went to this very nice restaurant out of pure coincidence and was welcomed with great hospitality. The food and portion were excellent. I definitely recommend coming!

How to start, the Harira was good, however the Vegetables Tajin contains mainly of two huge potatoes, carrot and few zucchini with the surprisingly high price. Why surprisingly? Because the prices were on the pictures instead of meal list, and the menu was shown us just for a while during the order. It was great trick which does work. Be aware of that if you dont want to be surprised like us. One star is because of the feeling we have after we leave.

Prijetna restavracija z pristnim Maroškim pridihom. Prijazno osebje, zelo dobra lokalna hrana. Okusno, prijetno in z razgledom. Priporočam. Poklon mami za izvrstno hrano.

Très bonne restaurant dans le centre de la médina,la noriture est excellente. Vraiment fait maison et pas le goût touristique habituel. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant pour son goût authentique et son hospitalité chaleureux merci pour la belle soirée

テラス席で食べたら開放感があって、タジン鍋もとてもおいしかった。若干相場より高いけど、ラマダン中で他のレストランを探すのが面倒だったので入った。レストランにはかなり満足。でも席までの案内人（ウェイター？）に問題あり。日本人はとても好きだよと言ってきてくれ、レストランの隣にあるお店にも案内をしてくれた。それなのに、そこでピアスのプレゼントをしてくれたあと、お店を適当に見てもう帰るねと言うと、この人はもう金を払わないと思ったのか（笑）、手のひらを返したようにピアスは返してくれ、と。プレゼントじゃなかったのかよw なんというかカモになってくれる日本人が大好きなようで。観光地はこういうモロッコ人ばっかりだ…

Great place to eat in Meknes. The Chicken lemon tagine is delicious. The owner and his family are amazing people. I can recommend without hesitation.

Nous avons bien mangé. Le tajine est la pastille délicieuse. Accueil chaleureux et terrasse très agréable .nous avons 2 soirs tellement cétait bon et prix ultra raisonnable. Ne ratez surtout pas.

We had a lovely meal at Gout De Meknes, the staff were very attentive and helpful and the meal was delicious. Would recommend!

The food is nothing special. The Tachine was very greasy. Half of the meat was fat. Ignoring that, the food was okay. The spices are very big. So be careful, if you want to order a menu. Also the Chairs are very uncomfortable for tall people (>190cm).

We were somewhat lost in the Medina, looking for a Restaurant and we saw in the guide book «le guide du Routard» a recommendation for this restaurant.We had lunch in the very nice terrace at the top of the building. This was in January 2019, the weather was just fine and the restaurant was practically empty, perhaps due to the late hour.The menu card was very limited but they managed to cook different things we asked for and at the end we were completely satisfied.The restaurant is owned by a friendly family who run all the business.

Walked in there, the old guy tried to give us a welcome but it was really hard for him. At the table he showed us the menu, we had the choice of two chicken tajines or a salade. The other choices he had to make for us, 30 minutes to prepare. He kept saying that the chicken tajine was ready to serve. He kept pushing on that specific tajine. When we where still looking at other things on the menu he was done with it, he walked away for a couple of minutes. We as a group didnt feel very welcome or taken seriously, so we left. He was angry, said some thing in French and still kept saying that he had chicken tajine. Maybe the food is good, but the service is horrible, really horrible.

Very good restaurant that makes delicious moroccan traditional food with cheap prices...the restaurant very good located not far from (lahdim square,bab mansour,park lalla ouda)only 5min walking...i recommend this restaurant with eyes closed.

Expensive food but nice staff

Very cold place in winter, food is always the same: tajine / couscous.

Food was nice but a bit expensive. They had no problems rushing us in to eat there, but unfortunately they were the same to get rid of us too. I had just finished eating and still had drinks left and they were giving me the bill and standing around near the table waiting for us to get up and leave. We will not being going back

Very bad. Bad food, expensive and not a nice place. Do not go, there are a lot of good places better than this. The owner are liars and false people. We ask for a salad with vegetables and look, they put all the rest of different foods.

Completely overrated. The chicken we had was dry and the soup had no flavour.

After spending a couple of weeks in this country, you get used to a certain standard of quality and hospitality. Although they were very friendly, the food, service and price was bad.

I ate the best cous cous in Morocco and it wasnt so expensive. The location is very very nice . I advise!

Very nice authentic restaurant with friendly service! Enjoyed a salad and tajine with plums on the quiet terrace and it was simply perfect!

The food was pretty good but service was fairly terrible and they attempted to add 20% cover charge "for olives & bread". Nice try, and there are much better options nearby. We wouldnt go back.
