Gourmet organic beef, lamb and chicken burgers with fries and coleslaw, in a tranquil dining room.
Ate in Gourmet burger Cork last night so disappointing burger was dry and tasteless made staff aware and shed make chef aware of it but never came back. When she collected the bill I again mentioned it and she said she had said it to the chef and it was because they were very busy needless to say we wont be returning.
Great burgers at reasonable prices. Beef, venison, chicken, lamb. Really have a good range. Fish and vegetarian dish options also. Staff are very helpful, even when busy they try really hard to accommodate everyone. If you like lamb then you will really enjoy the lamb burger. When the venison one is on the specials its probably their very best.Good for lunch as well as evening meal.
Wow what a great find! We are lucky and their service is great, as we arrived late and the GF just wanted snacks where as I was hungrier. They were very happy to serve us just one starter and a burger. One of the nicest burgers that I had ever had and it had black pudding in it.The service was excellent, not too attentive, but just right. The staff were friendly as well and the drinks with teh meal all reasonably priced. If I had been in Cork for longer I would have eaten there again. Well worth the visit.
Generous portion size, great burgers
Delicious! We tried GBB for the first time tonight and well definitely return. The menu had many choices, atmosphere was cute and the service was very friendly and quick. Food was also very very tasty!
I was absolutely delighted to be there! Tasty food and very pleasant service. Highly recommend!
Lovely staff and the food is well priced. Burger was a little dry, but otherwise quite good. They have some great specials. All burgers are 10.50 with fries from Monday to Friday 12pm-3pm. Fries are free with all burgers on Saturday 12pm-3pm.
Best chicken wings in town!
I found this place thank to my students and went there for lunch with them... Wow! Incredibly tasty food and very welcoming and helpful staff! Prices are very good too! Highly recommended 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
Nice cozy relaxing restaurant with delicious burgers which are well filled with goodies.Healthy options available but since it was my first time here I had to taste a burger & went for the pulled pork option.Lovely jubly.Chicken wings were great & the Americano burger had half a pickle & lots of cheese but otherwise lovely.Chips were an extra but tasted great.Second visit burger was a bit dry, otherwise everything was great.
We stopped in on Saturday for dinner in downtown Cork before heading back to our hotel and enjoyed fantastic burgers @GBB, very near the Eireann bus station. My husband had the vegetarian sweet potato & black bean burger and I had a simply beef chargrilled - both cooked to perfection! Great place to stop for a good burger. Service was great, too. Charming place, snapped a bunch of photos to share the ambience.
We came here after not being able to get into a nearby place because it was too crowded. Gorumet Burger Bistro was not crowded at all. The servers were friendly and our food was really good.
I popped in for a coffee with an old friend. He prevailed upon me to try a dessert. I have never tasted a Panna Cotta like it! If I lived closer Id be in every day just for that. Yum!
Good food, Hsd the tandoori lamb burger, very good.
Overall the food was only okay. Over priced for the standard of it. The chips were nice, but the burger was the made of the dryest substance on earth. Id rate it a 5/10
I was very disappointed in the cod fillet burger I got. There was more batter on each side of the very, very thin amount of cod. He took note of it & said he never got bad comments about it before. I opted for the salad instead of the bun. The sweet potato fries were edible. I got a free skinny latte. Staff were nice.
Nice selection of Burgers at reasonable prices. Basic fare, Lunch menu €10. Central location adjacent to Patricks Bridge in the city centre.
Good food, good price. Weve been here many times, always great. This time unfortunately the service couldve been a bit better, but overall still very good.
Amazing burgers one of the best of Cork. Waiting time is low and good selection of specialties of the day. Chips and mayo are hand made. Recommended.
The food is tasty, well presented, friendly staff, friendly ambience and clean at a reasonable price. Downside is that if you have allergy to cheese and anything from a pig then you can be quite limited in choice.
Friendly and professional service. The food was good, but not outstanding. A few tweeks and they would get there. Eg your homemade mayo is devalued by serving it is plastic bottles. The filling were really good, but let down by a mediocre bun. Bread is important and some good bread would be a huge asset. Similarly the chips need refinement.
This is a place not to be missed!! Was down visiting my Nephew & his wife for the weekend & they brought us here. The most delicious burger I have ever eaten!! Tandoori Lamb Burger. I gave my Husband a taste, he commented too it was amazing. He ordered the Special, Surf &Turf & said it was so good!!Well be back here next time in Cork. I must add, the staff were fabulous, friendly, kind & courteous!!See you soon!
Perfect combination of quality and price. Just exceeded all expectations
I was here to catch up with a group of friends including a toddler and two vegetarians. The menu indeed catered for all needs and tastes and the food was lovingly prepared and tasty. Some delays on certain dishes unfortunately but otherwise a solid offering.
Usually would give them 5 stars but theyve just recently started to charge extra for fries when they used to provide them free as a side with your burger. Disappointing!
I have been here twice. Excellent presentation and flavor both times. First time it was an Organic Beef Classic and it was perfect. The second time I had the Vampire and it was good but a little dry. Expect to pay €11-12 for the burgers which I consider good value for gourmet.
Nice little place just off mcurtain Street that does a very nice burger. The burgers are big, but not like sun of a bun around the corner, where youd need a mouth like prehistoric animal in order to take a bite out of it. I did find that the burger had a bit to much of a burnt taste to it and the barbecue sausage also tasted a little bland. I did like it though and will be returning. A bottle of corona went down well with the feed.
Best burgers in Cork and most of the menu is available gluten free. Pulled pork and blue cheese burgers taste fantastic. Very inviting atmosphere for kids and families even in the evenings.
Went with the family today; 2 children, 3 teens and 2 adults. Great food and service again. Between us we had the blue cheese burger, American classic, pulled pork burger and chicken wings. All were really tasty. Chips are really good and gluten-free. There are lots of gluten-free options and they have gf burger buns also. Yum.
It felt like a good place to go in a busy city. I had the halloumi burger and it was memorable.
A bit of a mixed bag this place. Ive been there a couple of times. The food has always been excellent but the service is pretty terrible. On one occasion there was over 20 minutes between members of our party getting their orders. That being said the food was generally excellent when it arrived. If they could sort out the service it would be great.
Great place for burgers, not as busy as a more popular joint close to it however imho it is much better in options and burgers. Pity beer menu is not up there with the rest of the menu.
Varied menu, great value specials. Delicious food, though we suspect the burger was introduced to a microwave as it was grey and well done. Food was still delicious, and a well cooked, juicy, pink burger would bring this rating up to Five star.
Heard a lot of hype beforehand so had really high expectations. Our meal was good, but the burger scene has reached a whole new level of competition in Cork in recent years. Only disclaimer: my visit was during peak hours a Saturday night and the place was clearly at capacity. Hoping to return and try again when less busy
My favourite restaurant, incredible burgers, the best gluten free options (my dad is extremely sensitive and hes never been sick after), great for the family and fantastic service .
Plenty of gluten free and dairy free options for those of us that need these specialties added bonus is they are clearly marked on the menu! Friendly service and some good lunch time offers. Definitely recommend.
One Moroccan spiced lamb special burger and one veggie falafel with hummus burger. Lamb seemingly amazing, falafel dry and not very tasty. Home made chips delish and home made mayo really really good! Pity about my falafel because every thing was spot on...and only €10 for burgers at lunch time on week days!!
Best burger place in Ireland Ive been to so far. Great range for everybody and the kitchen staff obviously understand flavour and cooking techniques. A real gem.
In Ireland the beef is very good (almost Angus beef), so in all the pub´s you can find good burger. This is a burger restaurant with a nice selection of burgers where you can find a burger that fit your expectations
Consistently good food, good sized portions and the staff are friendly & efficient. Good burgers without the pretentiousness of the more recent burger restaurants.
Lovely food and good service. I recommend this place if you like a real hamburgers
Food is savage tasty and all burgers at lunch are 10 euro. Homemade mayo too which is tasty out. Well worth a visit
Really great food and service. Family friendly. I had the American classic and it was divine. Loved the skinny chips with skins on. Garlic mayo that tasted like it was freshly prepared and didnt come out of bottle. All of us were delighted with the meal
I really enjoyed my lunch here. Im not a fan of burger places but their Fillet Steak Salad with blue cheese, potatoes and onion rings caught my eye on the menu when passing. Excellent value at only €10 for lunch. The waiting staff were lovely, down to earth and very attentive but not overly so. If you get the salad ask for some balsamic on the side which compliments it to perfection.
Kne of the best burgers ive had! Generous portions and a great lunch special during weekdays. Friendly staff as well. Try it!
Highly recommended !The perfect place for a tasty and original burger. Mostly organic products, beef, lamb, chicken, fish, and also vegetarian. We had almost all of the different burgers as we stayed 3 weeks for an english training in the nearby school. My favorite is the full Irish but all the others are excellent !!
Tried Gourmet Burger Bistro for the first time on sundayJust a no go for the burger.. overcooked meat, we are far far far away of the quality of a son a bun for the same price. No taste, no sauce... Doesnt worth a 1€ hamburger in McDonald.Come on.. its not hard to do an average burger nowaday..French Fries % Garlic bread were goodI put a generous 3 stars as its the first time I tried and maybe I havent been lucky
I personally dont like it at all. Dont go there is you want a classic burger in good quality, they serve some wired combinations, that downt mean its bad, its just not what I was expecting, and not my taste.
Gourmet Burger Bistro is a quaint little burger shop located off the water in Cork. While out exploring Ireland on a tour to Blarney Castle we made a stop in Cork and Gourmet Burger Bistro showed up on my radar.I ordered the Organic Burger with cheese and bacon with high hopes that organic Irish beef and their well-known cheese would be amongst the best burgers in Europe. I was served a mountain of a burger that was too tall to enjoy. The beef that made up the burger was very good; however, it was hard to enjoy the burger with the stack of lettuce, tomato, and other toppings. I ended up removing the excessive toppings so I could enjoy the simple beef, bun, cheese, pickle, and burger sauce. While the burger had good flavors, the bun was a little too dry and the bacon was of the European variety and did not do as much for the flavor as true American bacon would have done. The burger sauce was also a tad too sweet and was almost like a steak sauce, which conflicted with the super tasty pickled onions. At the end of the day, this burger had some solid components but just failed to pull it all together. Based on other reviews I saw I would guess their non-beef burgers and other burger variants are really good, or maybe American burgers are held to a different standard.
Really lovely place to eat. The food is a little pricey but plentiful and delicious. Keep in mind that when say pricey its about average for the area. Was recommended by a friend and he wasnt wrong. If your in Cork its worth a visit.
