Traditional dishes from across India are served at this stylish venue also pouring Indian wines.
Nice food a little outside main center but the Walk was worth it
Great restaurant great foodAnd the waiter Aste was helpful and friendly with us thank you so much
Chicken curry and lamb biryani. Both were great. Decent quantity and reasonable prices. Friendly service. Its bit away from the main center. But a short walk.
Taste is good, ambiance is good, location is good, service is good. But it’s very expensive , Switzerland itself is very expensive for food but Interlaken was much more cheaper than luzerne here in this restaurant naan price was approx 8.5 euros while in interlaken it was approx 4.5 euros and taste was better there. This restaurant serves sabji with riceStart with papad and chutney
What a dinner it was....Mouth tempting dishes and a whole lot of things complementary, just cant be praised in words.....when in luzern none other than Gourm india
I had a very good experience ,visited twice and taste of food is very 👍 good ... keep going n serve delicious food to hungry Indians (Anand an Indian guy ,he is very good person)Thanks GOURMINDIA RESTRO
Delicious food and grt place
Had food at their jungfrau center, great food and fast service. Must go for Indian food lovers
Very nice and fast service….😊We came speacially for dosa and it was amazing 🤩 we will come again…
Amazing food and a warm friendly service by shashwat. It was our first time here and will visit again for sure!
Good quality Indian food! We went there several times during our trip
NOT WORTH AT ALL!! OVERPRICED AND SHRINKED PORTIONS OF FOOD.Extra 10% charged if you want to pay in euros!! (Euros credit card). This is a super expensive restaurant and stupid portion sizes for their dishes. We wanted to eat simple daal rice since we had a very tiring day.We asked the waiter how big is the rice portion, he said sufficient for 2 people. But when the rice was served, it was in a desert bowl, not even good for one person’s meal. The Green salad (the waiter said would be leafy greens etcwas just 4 pieces of cucumber and 4 pieces of tomatoes sliced (for €8)We ended up paying €150 for a simple daal-rice dinner! Not recommended at all.
Lovely food, even much better than what we get in India 👍
Had a great meal with my friend. The butter chicken was delicious and the waiter Shadhuat was super friendly and helpful. Expect a little heat even with the mild dishes! Highly recommended
Such inhospitable staff!! The food is so overpriced and yet the attitude of the waitress is so so bad. We drove all the way from Zurich because we liked the food here. Arrived at 13:26 on Saturday when the restaurant was supposed to close at 14:00 and were told that they were already closed and they cant serve us. The waitress was so rude and all set to go out for a nice lunch herself. She definitely needs to go for a hospitality course before working at restaurants.
Awesome food. Quick service. Good Quantity. Beautiful ambiance. We ordered starter platter which had vegetarian and non-vegetarian starter with amazing mint & tamarind chutney.Main course was Paneer Tikka Masala, chicken curry, lasuni daal tadka & garlic Naan. Each dish was up to the mark with authentic Indian flavour.
Great taste and quality. We tried a few vegetarian gravies and they where awesome. The quantity is good and each of their gravies comes with a portion of rice. The naan/ bread needs to be ordered seperately. The prices are a bit on higher side but that ks expected given that they serve authentic food. The service was fast and ambience was great
Very nice brunch by the restaurant and their idlis were soft and spongy! It’s was really good…The buffet had a variety of dishes from vegetarian to meat. The taste were good but lacking spicyness 🌶 I had to get minced chilli by the side then it was all goodThe sambar for the idli I find it very sweet so I didn’t take it anymore with my idli. The coconut chutney was nice but again, there’s no spicyness taste in it. I order a chai and it was very sweetie me…The ambience was good! The service was good as well. The guy that was serving us were very attentive to our needs.
We went to this place today and Hayston handled our order. He was patient and very calm with our order. We had a special request of making food Jain without Onion and Garlic and he helped us with the amazing food that you see below. The Food was top class and I would highly recommend their Dal and the Palak Paneer. The Naans were soft and really fresh.Naans are made without Egg which can be consumed by Jains so that was great deal for us.Gulab Jamun was a little more sweet but again no complaints there. We tried Salt and Sweet Lassi and both were really good. The prices are definately on a higher side but I would not reduce the stars for that. Good Luck. Will definately visit again.
Very long waiting times. After having to wait 10 minutes to receive a menu, we decided to time everything that evening. 15 minutes to order, 20 minutes for the drinks, 35 minutes later the food came. The bill came very fast though. The waitress seemed annoyed. The male waiter was a sweetheart though and was very kind.Regarding the ambience, mostly good except you smell like curry after leaving. There was also an issue with a very large group coming spontaneously to the restaurant. They took empty chairs and were very rude to other guests.Regarding the food. Tandoori salad was quite boring and the shrimps where very tough. The Chicken Tikka Biryani tastes very well but felt like it was microwaved. It was a mix of warm and cold rice.I would come again as its the only good tasting Indian in the town but with all main courses costing over CHF 35, I wont come as frequently.
Good food and service, probably the nicest Indian restaurant in Lucerne. This Sunday was full booked, should have had more staff.
Visited this restaurant first a while back and it had good food. Now visited against recently and the quality, quantity, and service had dropped completely to a zero. The food was oily, overpriced, the portions were stupidly small for one person and the food tasted terrible. Felt like being robbed. Very disappointing. Dal makhani was like a shame, completely watery consistency.
The place has a nice ambience and good music. The complimentary papad and chatni was nice. We ordered daal makhni, basmati rice and cheese palak naan. Rice was uncooked and naan was not tasty, Lassi was good. Service was very slow.In terms of a visit, “Average”
Overpriced restaurant. Be aware, they are charging 5CHF for tap water. Portion is very small.Don’t waste your money.
I have been here a few times and I really enjoy this place! The food is great , and the ambience is quite nice as well. However, they seem to have redone their menu and increased the prices a lot. Its become quite expensive even for Switzerland and sadly, we wont be visiting again as theres cheaper and just as good Indian food around.
Delicious Lassis and amazing Biriyani! You can ask them to spice it up to Indian standards!
I visited this restaurant on 28 April 2022 after recommendation from a colleague and I was not disappointed. This is without doubt the best Indian food I have had in Switzerland in more than 11 years of living here. Nothing else I have tried comes close. As a UK citizen I am used to having great Indian restaurants easily available but this is not the case in Switzerland. But now I have found GourmIndia, I will be a regular visitor. I must add that the lady serving us was also extremely friendly and we had a lovely chat with her. If I have any criticism, it might be that the prices are probably a little high (particularly the mixed grill), but if you want really lovely Indian food here in Luzern then that is the price to pay. Try this restaurant, Im sure you will enjoy it.
Nice Indian food restaurant in Lucerne. We ordered butter chicken which is not on the new menu card and garlic naan was so good. All of the staffs were friendly except a female staff in restaurant. The restaurant is also clean and well organized.
Legit good chana masala, paneer. One of the few good authentic Indian restaurants in Europe. Prices are steep.
Unfortunately the bad overshadowed the good and diluted the experience for us.1they charge you for tap water: beware! unless you want a nice surprise waiting on your bill2small portions: I ordered a dal makhani and palak paneer. The palak paneer came with rice, while the dal makhani came by itself. The dal makhani was almost the same price as palak paneer when you consider that the palak paneer comes with rice, and yet, the dal makhani was served in a desert size bowl. When I asked about it, the waiter could only answer that this is a manager-led decision.3Manager: while the waiter seemed nice, the manager appeared inconsiderate. Not that he was rude or offensive, he just did not seem hospitable. I went to clear the bill expecting to share my feedback directly, but he was nowhere to be found. Finally bumped into us outside the restaurant, when I had to tell him that he could find my feedback here on Google reviews directly.
Fantastic Indian food in Luzern. We also visited the branch in Engelberg. Tastes authentic.
Good portions and friendly service. Reservation recommended.
Best place for Indian food in Luzern. The portions are huge, but they will box up any remaining for you. Staff are very nice and I think they all speak perfect English as well as German.Prices are normal for Luzern, but made more reasonable by the portion size
The food is very delicious 😋 and the one beautiful lady she is very kind ❤
Fantastic food. Huge portions. Best Indian in Luzern. The staff are very nice and will be honest with you about portion sizes too, and discourage you nicely from ordering too much. Then they can pack up leftovers in a sustainable box for you. All the food weve tried has been great, and I love how much is vegetarian. Never had enough stomach room left for dessert yet, but Im sure its good.
The food is delicious and the portions are good. You can also use their website to order food for pick up. Weekends can be a bit busy. The ingredients used are fresh. All in all, authentic Indian food...one of the best in Switzerland.
My standards for Indian food are pretty high having grown up in the UK and this restaurant more than lived up to them. Excellent vegetarian selection, great service (thanks Stefan), we dont live nearby but well make the journey again soon.
Hands down the best Indian restraunt in Luzern. The service is fast and the food is simply delicious! Being an Indian I can totally vouch for the authentic Indian flavours their food has and its a delight at every bite you eat. Absolutely recommend this place
Food is delicious fantastic.but the restaurant near the street . otherwise wonderful.
First time dining we ordered Rogan Josh which was good (one additional star for thisThe second time we went back and ordered Lamb Biryani it turns out to be too soggy and also, not enough necessary spices, instead too much spicyness from the curry they mixed inside the Biryani. And their Pakora is just individual pieces of veg and paneer being deep fried, not authentic, more like crispy Tempura. Lastly, the waitress refused to ask the kitchen if they could serve chai with ginger, instead, she insists they do not have such drink, and could provide only ginger with water. Wouldn’t go back.
Fantastic Indian Restaurant. We dared to order the Kings menu and although we expected it to be big, we were astonished by how much food was served. The food was incredible and when it became clear we wouldnt be able to finish our meal, the staff brought some boxes for us to take the leftovers home with. Staff is 5/5, food is 5/5, dish sizes are 5/5 and price is 5/5. Will definitely come back and ejoy more :)
Best place for Indian food in Luzern. But pricy. But the quality of the food is good. The service is excellent and very friendly. The atmosphere is very cosy and comfortable. We ordered a samosa for starters, it was good Indian standard. And Goan fish curry with Naan. The food was perfect. Dont forget to drink local Indian beer kingfisher, its refreshing. Will go there again and again. Hope they have some combo offer for food.
One of the best experiences I had in Lucerne yesterday. Special kudos to Aiste and Jaswinder. Our servers were adorable and full of personality. They were entertaining and knowledgeable. The restaurant is elegant and well crafted with a calm and comfortable atmosphere. I also had a group affair last month which was neatly managed. I advise reserving a table in advance. I suggest it to Indians, who are looking for a flavourful and exquisite menu of home away from home and for the people who seek to relish Indian cuisine and culture. Alleviating fine dine, sizeable portions, immaculate tastes, proficient crew. Personal favs are malai Tikka, chicken Biryani and gajar ka halva in the dessert. Do not miss out - the Mango Lassi and Cardamom tea!
Visited the restaurant last week and was amazed at how well prepared every dish was!! This Indian restaurant brings India to everyone in the highest possible standards. The decor, warmth, hospitality and ambience is outstanding! Never tasted Indian cuisine as good both in India & abroad. Right from the succulent prawn, chicken and paneer starters to the main course of mouthwatering malai methi murg & mutton biryani to the gulab jamuns!! Do give this restaurant a try... well worth a visit.
One of the finest restaurant in Lucerne if you really want to taste indian food at Swiss. The staff are welcoming and very nice. They treat you well with there generosity and food. This is little far though from city centre like 750m but if you are walking fanatic like me, you would definitely gonna love walking through the scenic bridges. We had like starters, wine, chicken curry and chapati for around 70CHK which is little expensive to be honest. But for the food they serve its really worth atleast once.P.S:- with every curries you order here comes plain rice along, so you dont have to order a rice seperately. Also dont order chaat you might not like.Do enjoy here cheers
Delicious food and awesome service on our first day in Luzern made us visit this restaurant again the next day but the 2nd day was disappointing. Although the food was lip smacking but the service was pathetic 2nd day. We waited for atleast 15 minutes to even get the menu card, had to ask thrice to get normal drinking water, got just 1 bowl of complimentary rice although we had ordered 3 curries and even though the staff told us that she will get another bowl but we didnt get it till the end of meal.At the end though the owner (A Punjabi gentlemantried to fix all the goof ups by serving tea but by then we were all disappointed.Would still recommend this place coz everyone has a bad day!
We had a great experience at Gourmindia last Friday night. This restaurant came highly recommended and did not disappoint! The Palak Paneer and Chicken Tikka Masala were both excellent and perfectly spiced. The chicken mushroom soup and garlic naan were also delicious. Not only was the food superb, the service was even better! Very friendly and good hearted people. We unknowingly left 85chf on the table when we left and they kept it for us! Thank you so much to our server and the restaurant manager for being honest and extremely kind. We will definitely visit again when were in Lucerne.
One of the best Indian restaurants in Switzerland! The decor was very fancy and aesthetically pleasing. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The food was from a whole other world! I got the flame grilled chicken and my friend got the vegetarian paneer curry. The portions were huge (although a little on the pricey sidebut the quality was outstanding. Masala chips were a novelty and I very much enjoyed them. Id highly recommend this place to anyone!
This place hit the spot! We got the kings menu which gave us a ton of food at a bargain considering the single plates are a bit pricey but still much cheaper then most of Switzerland restaurants. Service was prompt, courteous and the waitress was very helpful with the menu. English was very good here too. Highly recommend.
Excellent food and service. Authentic Indian food with relatively generous portions. The quality of food is excellent. Some may feel its slightly pricey, but its worth the money for sure!
