Delicious food, great service.We visited this place for a casual dinner. The waiter was very kind and fluent in English. He recommended selection of wines and knew the restaurant menu very well. Price and quality was adequate. The terrace view was great

Hard to find, tastes good but kind of expensive for the portion they offer.

The waiter is very disrespectful. He didnt serve us even though we had a reservation. He treated us racist. I would never recommend going. If you make a reservation, go and have it checked again.

Hidden gem in Podgorica! Elegant stunning interior, serene balcony terrace and good food for Montenegro standards. I’ve been multiple times and experienced service that was incredibly thoughtful and helpful, but unfortunately I also experienced the opposite. Getting only half of what I ordered, no communication at all and even the wrong orders. With the right staff, this place is an absolute dream.

Such an amazing experience ! We arrived very late but the staff (all incredibly niceaccepted to welcome us regardless. We spent 1 week in Montenegro during which we tested lots of restaurants but Gostiona 1928 is by far the best restaurant weve visited ! Their food and wine are very tasty ! This is a must-go !

Very bad service, rude and weird communication style of waiter. The guy presented the bill and implying he should get a 10% tip because this is a rule in Podgorica he said. The fact that we gave him 5% even he was very incapable in his communication and not friendly wasnt enough for him.. Dont fall for his tricks.. That is my tip/advice

We were attracted mainly by the interior, and the place is actually really elegant. Honestly I was at first kinda disturbed by recent low reviews, but in fact the food was delicious (we had risottosand the prices are good (it’s more expensive than places with local cuisine and fast food, but I mean it’s obvious and it’s normal). So if you want to eat something else than the traditional cuisine try this place.

Tourist trap! Do NOT visit if you are not a local. Not only the service was horrible but we were intentionally ripped off. If you still decide to go, don’t be surprised if you have to wait a very long time for your food and need to pay much more than the prices on the menu just because you are a foreigner. They also serve you extra food you did not order and then charge you for it. When you ask why you have pay much more, they say they just changed the prices now. Only one star is given because it is not possible to give zero.

One star, only because I can’t leave zero.Perhaps we caught them on a bad night, as they seemed severely understaffed. Despite that, we literally waited an hour for beers after ordering, our starters didn’t arrive, and the food itself was quite bad.The tagliatelle were absolutely horrendous, visually, taste-wise and smell-wise, wreaking like a tyre was set on fire and melted into the pot.At the end of the night, the waiter insisted on a tip after I noted not to include the 10% service fee in the bill - something that the table next to us had raised (after having also waited for 1.5 hours for their food). His exact response was “why should I suffer?” Well, why should I?Only the great company from the founders of the Ricchione Cup saved the night.

The vegetarian options here are incredible. The quinoa salad, the mushroom risotto and the vegetable risotto were incredible! And the waiters were very welcoming and diligent

Good food great atmosphere

Overpriced place that teases with nice interior but unfortunately the food quality is terrible. Only one waiter to serve all the floors will guarantee bad service no matter how hardworking he is. Terrible meals I could make them much better with my eyes closed. Dirty, disappointing and pricey. Avoid.

Food is good. Price is a bit higher than average but fair. Staff and service are bad.We ordered a fish and a duck breast and it was fair to wait for it longer. We were waiting for it 40 minutes, felt a bit too much. The combination of ingredients was very good but the meat itself was not that good. Fish was too dry and bit poor in taste 👎Service is very good until it comes to payment. In the check you discover extra €1/person for a "compliment" what is basically a service fee but the waiter says that "the total is without service" and asks for a tip. You say him a number and he adds extra €2 on top of it! 👎Basically, staff cheated on us twice and this is very disappointing 😔

Why does serving staff like to treat customers as Stupid..?Somethings we didn’t order but they will smartly serve you as compliments before the meal arrives (two slice of crispy bread with a tea spoon size humus, later you will be surprised they charging you for the same.what a cheap way of making money👎Good location, nice relaxing ambiance, Average food but service culture this country (specially in food & beverageway behind and mostly Rude.Someone responsible there must look into it seriously, only if they like customers to come back.

Delicious food!!! The place is not easy to spot but it is definitely worth looking for. It is hidden on the first floor of a building that has a lot of restobars in front, so dont get fooled and look for it, as it is definitely a precious choice for dinner, lunch or even breakfast! The staff is lovely and very helpful in looking for best food choice for you at the time of your visit 😊... and again the food - AMAZING! The restaurant has a beautiful terrace that gives you a look over the roofs of Podgorica 😍 The offer of wines is also satisfying. Very underrated place that just needs to be discovered by others - just one tip: DONT MISS OUT ON THIS PLACE!

Interior is so cosy and the menu is great but it takes ages to get you food and when you finally get it….very disappointing. Don’t understand their obsession to use flowers on literally every dish that we ordered.

We had such a great long lunch here - a totally unexpected gem. The atmosphere is bright, spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious - and the portions were huge (maybe share dishes if you aren’t too hungry). Loved the caprese salad and the aubergine parmigiana. The house white wine was great too. The staff were so kind and even helped us by calling a bus company to get some information on their timetable. Definitely go if you visit Podgorica!

It wasn’t a wow experience... Our beef carpaccio took forever to come and it was frozen ... service was good but food ok ... extremely expensive their menu and their tables setting makes you feel out of space no harmony and coziness in the place ... every time the front door was open i was getting the coldest wind at my back during winter time !!! We had a lovely evening tough but wasn’t wow and not looking to go back !!!

We loved everything about this place: food, service, design, atmosphere. Great experience.

The food was really good. This place is a little difficult to find because it’s wedged between bars and is on the second floor. Bar is on the 1st floor, restaurant on 2nd. I had the Sea Bass for dinner, and chocolate cake for dessert. Neither disappointed. As you can imagine, very little English is spoken so have patience and speak slowly.

After coming 6 times to Montenegro, this is definitely our favourite restaurant in the whole country! Very attentionate service, cozy ambiance and, last but not least, the most amazing food. You can try the most exquisite local dishes or international delicaticies with a bottle from the extensive wine collection.

This restaurant is one of the best in Podgorica. Smoking is not allowed inside, which is a huge advantage on making it the best in Podgorica.The service is great. The decor is classic (hence 1928!). And the atmosphere is just amazing. The menu is full of Montenegrin cuisine with a modernised touch. 10/10 will visit again to try something new.

Great place for food and drinks! Newly opened but owned by the experienced owners. Pleasant atmosphere and wide variety of food - especially vegan and vegetarian! We ate paprika with beans, mixed salad and “sarma” rolls with vegetables! It was very delicious! It’s one of the rare nonsmoking places in Podgorica which is a huge plus.
