Gostilnica Barik in Skopje

Gash goulash. Worst meal I had in Skopje by some distance - very little meat in the "goulash", didnt seem to want to serve me, took them 20-30 minutes to even bother offering me a menu.

Tasty food and friendly staff

We had REALLY good food here and excellent service. My partner and I came very hungry - me vegetarian and him meat eater. We both had great recommendations from the waiters. They were very patient with all of our questions and the food was just amazing. We came back multiple times to try different dishes and were never disappointed. The place is quite comfortable and in a quiet side street. If the weather is good its nice to sit outside.The summer stew was my personal favourite - with cheese and on grilled bread. But also the different appetizer dips we had one day were fantastic. And try the pumpkin chips as a starter!! Thanks, we will be back one day! 😁

Love coming here. It’s a place where me and my friends go. Usually you should call and make a reservation cause it’s always full, but sometimes you might get lucky and get a table just by coming in.It’s an old interior. But it has such a nice vibe.Food is always amazing! Everything is freshly prepared. Waiters are cool and polite.

The food is incredible. We already liked the food in Macedonia but this was the best of all! We had the beans (Tavche Navche…not sure if I spelled it right), the kneaded burger with vegetables, zucchini tempura (written as pumpkin batter on the menuand grilled chili peppers and it was an explosion of impeccable taste in our mouth.

Lovely restaurant, kind staff. We decided to let our waiter suprise us with a bunch of Macedonian food and it all tasted amazing! Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely fantastic food made by great, lovely people. Get the beans, the pork rib, they are worth the detour.

3 stars goes only for the food. The service is very slow and the waiter was very arogant. We were around 15 guests going there for the first time, but im not sure there will be second time. The food however was really good.

The owner wouldnt bring another chair to our table for our friend. Owner was very rude.

Food is ok. Service is very slow. We had to remind the waiters about our food. They completely forgot that we ordered some items. They brought the main dishes first and the salad last. On one occasion they charged us double for one side dish. I wouldnt really recommend the place.

Food is delicious, waiter relatively fast, food arrives quickly, menu is standard. However! tables are right ON the street so passing cars do lift dirt off the ground (not best for food on the table).

If you go to Skopje you have to go to this place and order a "TELESKA CORBA", it is soooo good.

If you want to eat good and authentic, do not doubt. Barik is the place. Good cooking, wonderful and professional people. Macedonia is better now much better with the belly full :)Excellent relació qualitat preu.

Very nice tavern. The food was excellent and the owner is super nice. We had to sit in the basement because all other tables were reserved. So you should reserve a table upfront, at least during the weekend. We will come again!

Really enjoyed this place. Was really busy on a Friday night yet the servers were helpful, recommending us dishes, and moving us from downstairs (zero atmosphereto upstairs (buzzingwhen a table became available. The food was great and quick too.

Definitely one of the top three places for barbecue in Skopje. The food is excellent, and the staff is very efficient and helpful. You can also chance into some nice jazz or electronic music while there. If you are looking for a tasty and quite affordable meal in the center of Skopje pay them a visit. The place is rather small and very popular, so calling to reserve in advance is a good idea.

Their appetizers, side dishes, and salads are some of the BEST I’ve EVER had, making this place PERFECT for VEGETARIANS, and to a lesser extent vegans.There were 7 of us and we started ordering the appetizers; they were so good that, one by one, we ended up ordering everything. By the time we got to order meat, we were all stuffed. The meat didn’t live up to the deliciousness of the appetizers, but maybe I felt like that because I was already well-fed.My favorite items on the menu:#1. The sour/pickled peppers with sour cream. We were told that the sour cream was not added to the peppers, but it was regular milk that was pickled together with the peppers. This dish was by far the champion.#2. The “vitamin” salad with cabbage, beats, and carrots. It has some roasted pumpkin and sunflower seeds too.#3. The plate with various pindjur and ajvar spreads.#4. The Grilled “bieno sirenje” cheese.#5. The nafora. The only issue was that it was small#6. The deep-fried breaded zucchini squash. They are paper thin and crunchy. Really delicious.

The staff is really friendly and professional, very good food and drinks at a cheap price. Would recommend to anyone who appreciates good food.

This cozy small restaurant is one of the best in Skopje. Not well known with a narrow but well versed clientele, its a place where you can taste amazing trout, its famous oven-baked ripps are a masterpiece and of course one of the best pleskavica in town. Come for a relaxed evening, the surrounding is old-town-like on an old paved off-street overlooking a lush greenery. The owner is serving the tables as well and cares for each guest as if you were at his home. Enjoy!
