Came here for our wedding anniversary and what a treat. The service was absolutely amazing. Tanika was an amazing waitress, along with the rest of the crew catering as well. Even with the restaurant jam packed we never had to wait around or put up our hands to get service.The food was 10/10 but even if it wasnt, all of our food came out at the same time hot and fresh which is a big deal for me when eating out.I had the Fried chicken Burger, got a nice bite to it though, and my wife had the pulled pork pizza. My son had a generous portion fish and chips of the kids menu with a juice and ice cream for an extremely reasonable price. Finished it off with a mouth watering cheesecake and ice cream.An amazing night out with the family at a restaurant with great service, cozy family vibe and really delicious food.I recommend 100% going to good local. They will definitely see me in the future again.Thanks for an amazing night out

Met some friends here & first impressions was very good. Acknowledged and greeted as we entered. Friendly approachable and capable staff. Menu selection was diverse, with good selection and we all shared number of dishes [ the kumara chips are delicious ] Overall a great customer experience. Will certainly be back ...

Have had lunch here. It was awesome. On another time ordered take out Ordered for 5.30pm pick up. Was out the door at 5.33pm. Such great service

Just had some snacks before dinner. Food was delicious and the customer service was excellent. Children friendly, my daughter got the colourful pencils and paper to do the colours.

Foods good but the customer service is amazing. There all so super nice and they make the place great.

When you reserve a table this time of year, ask if you will be in the plastic curtain area, and wear warm clothes. There are heaters but every time the door opens every few minutes there is a cold chill.

Fabulous food excellent service our waitress was very pleasant many thanks.

Menu was good, great Sunday stake deals. Drinks were generous. The only bad thing was the plates were cold and it made the food cold. In winter I would have thought hot plates a must. The service was great. Staff friendly and helpful . If the food was hot I would give Good Local 5 stars.

Mothers day was busy but service & quality of food was really good. The three of us enjoyed our time there and we said wed happily visit this eatery again.

My steak sandwich and chips were delicious, however I felt they were a little overpriced. Perhaps thats just how expensive life in NZ is right now.Regardless, I enjoyed the meal and rejoiced in the tap beers available.Ill definitely be coming back.

First time there. Absolutely loved the food! From the moist chicken burger to the dessert, everything was A++ Made to feel welcome when we arrived plus the wait staff were on point. Would definitely recommend to try this place out if you havent already.

We had a birthday lunch yesterday, all 9 of us really enjoyed our meals, service was excellent. The birthday donut was yum! One mistake made was sorted quickly, thanks for that, it’s what good service is all about - we’re all human, we all make them! We will be back.

Excellent atmosphere friendly staff, Steak was excellent.

Excellent and quick service, staff were friendly and consistently topped up our water. Chicken picatta and Steak with creamy mushroom sauce was delicious. Highly recommend.

Great service. A really friendly vibe. The salads are so good. Would come back for that! Though we feel the calamari is lack of flavor, and flat bread is slightly hard.

A great place to celebrate birthdays, engagements and even sports events. Good range of foods available and excellent knowledgeable staff. Pricing is med range and the restaurant is designed that it is easy to talk with your friends.

Amazing food, coupled with great service and place to sit, chill and enjoy the company you are with. We really enjoyed the i guess patio area as the sun was out and really added to the enjoyable experience we had there.

Update 2021 - Always great food at the Local and the host is just so friendly as are the rest of the staff. Try the rosti stack! Amazing! - 2019 -Great Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. Meat was tender, capsicum and onion cooked just right. Very tasty. Wont be using your fingers for this one though.

Cant believe I hadnt discovered this place earlier, its only just up the road! Food was absolutely divine & the staff were my kinda people!!

We are out of towners who visited this restaurant with local friends who recommended it. The restaurant was absolutely humming, the waitress was friendly and gave first class service. She was well worth tipping if I supported tipping which I dont. The food was also plentiful and excellent and the girls loved their desserts. Highly recommended.

If you have never tried the garlic flat bread from The Good Local then your missing out, these are the best in Tauranga by far, top it off with fantastic staff & A1 service its the best place around.. :-)

We heard that the Restaurant offers nice food. We were there during the brunch time and ordered some from menu. The food was a nice presentation but when we taste them, unfortunately they didnt appeal me for coming back as the taste was average. Therefore I give the rating 3 out of 5.
