Good Grounds Coffee & Bistro - Coffee shop in Goodland, United States
Nice local cafe with excellent service and decent prices
Such an unexpected treat after staying at the motel 6 next door. Iced coffee and egg bake are delicious!
The breakfast sausage & egg croissant was delicious. My kids loved their biscuits and gravy though they wished the gravy was a bit thicker it didn’t stop them from eating it. Everyone also enjoyed a fresh donut. I would definitely stop and grab a bite when in the area again. Easy parking, even for Rv’s. 10/10
Good food, good coffee, good people in Goodland. Clean and great place to stop!
If you are on i70 and passing by, or in town it’s worth a visit. Nice pastries and drink options. My teen girl said the iced white chocolate latte was “busting”. That’s impressive because she’s somewhat particular. Great visit.
Delicious and quaint breakfast joint! We got the iced toasted almond latte (one of the best coffees I’ve ever had), the iced Nutella latte, and breakfast sandwiches!
The staff was very sweet they walk out food to you. The coffee was also very decent. The food that they have on display is a bad indication of the food. It is actually much better than what they have displayed. One other suggestion would be they list what is in drinks such as their smoothies.
This was outstanding! We stayed in Goodland overnight on a trip from Kansas City to Colorado Springs and have often eaten breakfast at the McDonalds near the hotels. A greyhound bus pulled in just as we were about to go there disgorging about 80 passengers. HOW LUCKY FOR US! We decided to check out the local place instead and found a true gem. The people were so friendly, the service was great, the food was wonderful, the coffee was absolutely as good as any around (yes I include Barstucks in this), and the prices were extremely reasonable. We will make it a regular stop on our trips across Kansas from now on. Highly recommend this stop. Just a few minutes off I-70 and absolutely worth your time.
Just had the best sausage, egg, and cheese croissant of my life here… Strongly recommend!
Great coffee and breakfast spot. Right off the highway next to Motel 6. If you are a naked latte kind of person, just make sure to ask them to only put two pumps (vs. 6of your flavor/sweetener. Diabetes is no joke. But their ham egg and cheese croissants are fabulous. I assume this to be locally-owned since the owner was in working. Support the non-chain shops!!
Great little coffee shop! Very easy access from the interstate. We tried a donut, scone, and coffee cake. All were delicious, and the service was friendly.
Stopped here on a road trip and enjoyed my drink and apple fritter. As far as the staffing it seems to be family owned which is nice, however with kids running around the seating area and the kitchen area it felt a bit chaotic or disorganized. They forgot about my pastry at first and got it for me promptly after a reminder. I would definitely recommend for those on a road trip as it is a unique and cozy place
Drove from Dallas on my way to Denver to pick up a classic car. You get soo tired of the same, limited, corporate options that are offered along your trip. Stayed at a hotel next to this place and just wanted some good coffee the following morning (not Starbucks.. yuk!Anyway.. gave this place a try and it was soo good. Such good coffee that’s made right then and there from grind to pour and the breakfast was made fresh right there as well. Sooooo good and such a relief. I took that first sip and I was like, “Thank God.” (You know what I’m talking aboutI thought to myself, “Now this is good coffee and breakfast.” Damn good. Place is definitely an oasis.
So good. Real coffee. Yum yum yum❤️
Wonderful local coffee cafe! We got the croissant, egg and sausage and they were amazing! Nice atmosphere too
Its in the name, this is good coffee. Stopped by for some fresh brewed black coffee just 30 minutes before close, excellent customer service with great ambiance. Lots of windows and great open lighting, plenty of room to spread out too.
just had the best croissant sandwich of my life here i had to write a review lolthis place is great. i go here somewhat often and obviously the food is amazing, but so are the coffees and smoothies. try good grounds they never disappoint!!!!!
Stopped in yesterday and had the best Biscuits and gravy Ive eaten while out on the road, I will be back for sure!
Definitely a greats stop while on the road. Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious and the staff is super nice!I’m glad we found them and they even had a gluten free sandwich option!
Really cool little coffee shop with breakfast items. The croissant was freshly made that day and delicious. The cranberry and almond scone was out of this world!! You must get a scone if you come here. The family that owns the place was super nice and you can tell they really care about the place.
Attractive coffee and breakfast shop, just off I-70. The staff is very nice, the coffee is excellent and I had a pretty decent croissant with bacon, egg, and cheese. I recommend stopping by if your tired of gas station coffee on your drive and want a quick bite or a coffee.
Stopped here because of the good reviews on a drive through Kansas…. Ordered a latte and the milk was scalded…. The flavor / texture of a latte is ruined if the milk is heated too hot - even after the drink cools down. It’s rather disappointing, partially just because it’s so unnecessary.
Loved this place! Super cute and modern exterior and clean interior. We stopped by and grabbed a couple of biscuits on our way through and they were great! Especially recommend the banana peanut butter and honey biscuit, yummy! 😋 friendly and efficient staff!
We stopped on our way through on a road trip and got a dirty chia tea and a snickerdoodle latte. The tea was SO good a very unique flavor and tasted handcrafted! The snickerdoodle latte was creamy and delicious! Thank you Good grounds coffee!
Stopped for a quick breakfast on our road trip and was pleasantly surprised at how amazing the food was! We tried the egg and cheese biscuits and the biscuits and gravy which were both incredible. The biscuits are soft and buttery! As my husband says, biscuits so good youd slap ya momma haha. Price was very good as well! Great little find.
Good good at a reasonable price, fast & friendly service. Definitely coming back here for breakfast!
I stopped in Goodland on my way to and from Colorado. The establishment was warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and the coffee was excellent! On my first stop I had an Americano and on my second I had a Carmel Latte. My wife had a Chi Tea Latte (coldand she loved it. The shop also has a great selection of breakfast foods and pastries.I strongly recommend making a stop and enjoy a great cup of coffee.
Service and quality is always great. Food price is a little higher than we like to pay on drive days. But still worth the stop for coffee and occasional snack on our I70 drives.
My new favorite stop in Goodland! I came here every day on my trip.Best biscuits and gravy I’ve had, and the pastries are delicious. Coffee is great too.
Breakfast was amazing! They had some very good Peach lemonade, and the food was just as good. I love some freshly made hashbrown casserole! Would love to go again one day
Great coffee!! Great breakfast!! Sweet employees!! So glad we got stranded in Goodland! This will be a new stop for us on our way to and from CO!! Thank you!
Our family was driving through on vacation and we were so impressed with this bistro! The food was fresh and super delicious, fair prices and super nice staff. Also, great coffee with a huge selection! We are planning on making Goodland a regular stop on our travels because of Good Grounds!
It has great potential. The food and drinks were good, however it takes too long to get them. They need a more efficient way. I asked for a take out menu, so I can call and order ahead of time and they do not have one.
Wonderful experience and delicious food!! First time customer, will be back! Chicken biscuit/cheese was flavorful with juicy tender chicken and flaky biscuit. Blueberry muffin was moist, tender, crunchy on top and packed full of flavor. Drip coffee is a delicious roast with flavor and not bitter. Overall, fabulous food and coffee- skip McDonald’s and go to Good Grounds!
Stop here for lunch! We ordered a Steak wrap, chicken wrap with ranch and Hawaiian sandwich. The steak was tender and flavorful, came with chips and a side, the jalapeno mac and cheese pared well. Chicken wrap had a bit of a spice to it but it had great flavor, the Hawaiian was missing the pineapple 😒 but was still a nice fresh sandwich with plenty of ham.Driving thru Kansas and along HWY 70 its just fast food everywhere but you dont have to eat that garb. This coffee house and bistro is a fresh healthier alternative. They even have a kids menu that includes PB&J and other kid friendly options.
We were delighted to finally get a non Starbucks coffee. We ordered two Americano and a breakfast sandwich all under $10. Highly recommended you pause your road trip here and treat yourself.
I got a pink drink! They subbed banana for orange juice and it’s AMAZING !!! I’m actually obsessed. Grateful that this little town has a place like this! Plus, the service was great! They’re super kind! 10/10 recommend!
We stopped by when driving through on our way back to Fort Collins. The staff was kind and thoughtful! Coffee was unexpectedly good. Please stop here if your in the area. Friends dont let friends drink starbucks.
Just stopped because we needed a coffee and a break. Did not want the usual roadside stop, but also wanted to do this quickly.Good Grounds was perfect. Exceptionally convenient and the staff was amazingly friendly and cheerful. The coffee was quite good and the baked goods were as well. Recommend the coffee cake.
This is a must stop if youre headed down I-70. Incredibly friendly staff! If you get a certain drink somewhere else they can probably make it for you here. They were spot on with replicating my wifes Sbux usual.
This coffee shop of the i70 freeway is the best I had in my trip. We coming from Kansas city and my wife wanted coffee we stoped here. The people there were very nice, and created us, we had the turtle latte, and vanilla latte the best. The blueberry muffin was so delicious. We definitely recommend this place to everyone.
A perfect travel experience. Avoid the big named franchises and have coffee and a fresh meal here. Friendly people and really fresh sandwiches. I had the turkey cranberry cream cheese sandwich my husband had the kansas bbq sandwich. They were delicious. We also both had the jalapeño Mac!!!! Perfect. One thing I really was pleased about was the freedom too not wear a mask.
What kind of coffee shop puts you in a bad mood when you visit it? This place never been put in bad mood by coffee before. This place this place changed that. More expensive then Starbucks and worse service. The workers acted like it was bother to take order then couldnt remember our simple order. Granted it 15 minutes for a biscuit sandwich at potatoe casserole.
Great stop off of Highway 70.Clean bathrooms.Friendly, fast service.Mocha latte far better than Starbucks.
Great food and drink that’s fast, friendly and affordable! I had a delicious sandwich and soup for lunch but can’t wait to try their breakfast and pastries. Wish we would’ve tried it a lot sooner.
BEST biscuits and gravy Ive ever had. Very quick, very friendly. The atmosphere is nice as well. Oh yeah, the coffee was excellent. 10/10 gotta stop in if youre in the area.
If heading west, skip the Starbucks in Colby and head to Good Grounds in Goodland. #soworthit Cinnamon Roll Latte is soooo yummy!!!
Going inside this place is clean and a comfortable place to sit and enjoy your coffee. There is a drive thru as well. I got the Carmel Frappe. Super Yummy!! It was so delicious and done the right way. The employees are so kind and very quick, fast, and easy. This is the best place to get a cup of coffee. They even have Clean toys for the children to be play with and be entertained while you sit and enjoy your coffee.
Good coffee, very friendly staff, reasonable prices.Cons:There are no power plugs.
We stopped here on our way back to Ohio from visiting Rocky Mountain National Park as we wanted to try a local place for breakfast. This place was reviewed good so we thought we would give it a try. Walking in, you really notice the restaurant is extremely clean and welcoming. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. The coffee was great too, as was the peanut butter chocolate protein shake I decided to try. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice local breakfast or coffee stop!
