Down-to-earth restaurant for Peking duck, roast pork, lobster yee mee and classic Cantonese dishes.
We chance upon this restaurant when we are looking for Vietnamese food, Viet Hoa.Very good roasted duck where the meat are so tender. Plus nice kai lan.
Had lunch here with my son. Still as good as ever. We had sang choy pow, Peking Duck and a very good beef horfan pot of tea for $56
I like the food and service. The only thing you need to make the waitress underestand exactly what do you want. Not good in English. I ordered boneless duck but I received with bone instead π€ͺ
Beautiful duck dish, loved it thanks. Fried tooth fish dish melting in the mouth. Pork ribs so tender. Lots to enjoy here.
Food serving is so much smaller now. Price used to reflect the quality and quantity of food you get.
So far the worst asian restaurant i have ever tried. The food was tastless and the service appalling. When i called the waitress to tell her the food was not edible, she act like she did not understand any English and she left.We than decided to leave as we could not eat the food and when we went to the register the same waitress ( i believe she was the managershe understood everything i was saying anf she immediately proceeded to let me know that i still had to pay even though I did not ask her for a dicount.PLEASE PEOPLE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
Food is good. Dine in on our 1st visit and went back there for take-away. The fish is really nice.
Always good here. Lunch specials are excellent, Roast pork here is delicious
It was a very poor and terrible dining experience, They served the wrong dish and we accidentally took a bite. The owner of the restaurant kept blaming my mum, thinking we didnt understand Cantonese and speaking Cantonese in a blaming and discriminatory tone to blame my mum. Wont be coming back to a restaurant that discriminates and blames the customers for their own mistakes.
Quick service and delicious duck. After seeing them on Instagram, we visited and it lived up to expectations.Imagine a classic Chinese restaurant with some robots running the dishes. The duck was delicious and the priced were very reasonable. They easily accomodate children and had high chairs available.
Ok, people didnt seem that impressed but your food is served by robots! How cool is that?!?!?! Its amazing! The duck is delicious and prices are reasonable.
Lunch special 8 AUD, very cheap, but maybe next time I should try Duck better π
Been a regular and delivery is always packaged in a big mess. This noodle here is $13
Unfortunately, given we were not Asian looking enough we were seated after non booked walk in groups, and then even had to wait longer than other later seated tables to have our order take .I know theyre busy but such blatant discrimination should not be left unmentioned in this day, age, city and country.
Yummy roast peking duck with pork and long beans with pork mince for lunch very authentic flavor love it. Definitely will come back again.
Awesome roast pork. Nice duck. Annoying robots.
From the roast pork to the fried flounder to the stir fried greens in ginger sauce. Everything was so flavoursome and cooked to perfection! I loved it! I thought it was reasonably priced as well. Also, itβs only $1 Byo!
Order a BBQ pork and roasted duck with rice. Was given all the off- cut like this.Wont come back again.
Nice ambience and the food is very tasty. The staff are very friendly and they dont rush you. Opposite is the My Chemist store. This area is happening at night because it is located at China Town.
Never been here before and surprised by flavour of the duck and pork and soft as. Its the closest thing to going to China with out having to buy a airplane ticket. The electronic waiters were interesting as well. Overall loved dining there.
Reasonable priced food and spacious seating. The roasted duck was good but not as fantastic as what I expected from other reviews. We also ordered the beef stew hot pot. Tasted good but the beef was a bit chewy.
Food is still good but service has taken a plunge. Was quickly pointed to a table that hasnt been cleaned and left there with no menu for a while, until I went up to grab a menu myself. And had to sit there for another 10 minutes till one staff walked pass my table and I asked them to take an order.
Just had lunch there with another couple. The food was extremely oily and every staff member was rude, particularly the lady at the register. Hence the rating of 2. I am definitely not going there again. What makes them think they can be so rude and get away with it !!!!
Friendly staff.Quite different from other Cantonese places that I used to go.I ordered the duck and my boyfriend the Char Siu. Could taste the herbal flavour in it
This is the right place for roast duck fans! We always come here for it. This time we ordered Herbal Chicken with rice $12 / Roast&BBQ Pork Rice $13.5 / Deep Fried Wanton $5.5, they are as good as the roast duck rice. You will not be disappointed on most of the food here. We will definitely come back again:)
Very tasty but gave us food we did not ask for and pretty psycho behaviour from the Matriach when we brought it up. Then the fried ice cream was cold. Apparatly that was our fault too.
I brought my elderly parents and toddler to have lunch here. The service was good, server was polite, food was good (roast duck was juicy). All seem well until the lady boss came. The place wasnt full, about 40% full at 11:30am. At the start, polite server asked me to park my stroller next to an empty table. All good. Then towards the end of my meal, lady boss rudely said the stroller should be placed at the back. Not once, but three times. So what if food is nice but the attitude of the lady boss is bad. Life too short to be served by bad service attitude.
If your after a good quick meal this is the place to go, we grabbed 2 serves of the Peking Duck which was not bad. The Duck itself was delicious but the pancake wasnβt as thin / warm as we had in the past elsewhere that was really good.We got a couple of other dishes that where really nice.Service is good they have robotic waiters that bring out the food which was a first for us but super cool.Gets busy but well priced too!
very good food, solid and consistent quality
Would have been 5 star except staff rude .but food excellent.
Spring onion ginger is one of the popular side dishes that often goes well with the roast or drunken chicken dish. This spring onions ginger stands out amongst other restaurants in Perth. It is very fragrant, flavourful and delicious. It will not come free with other dishes unless there is a request when an order is made. A takeaway spring onion ginger is priced at $2.50. (2021-09)
Always great, their signature dishes are done to perfection, fresh and tasty. Three combination of duck, roast pork and BBQ pork, bang onπflounder nice too.
3.5 starsSometimes, come here for roasted duck. Good value. The roasted ducks werent dyed too red. Fast service. Large portion.Tried take away yesterday. Singaporean fried vermicelli ζε·ηη±³ wasnt spicy enough. Fried flat rice noodles with Beef δΉΎηηζ²³just average.
The duck is legendary!!, fresh well priced food , a must visit kinda place
Not too bad San choy bao. Lots of meat inside and a bit fatty randomlyI wish we could order half portion. 4 San choy bao for 2 pp and meals are so full for usBest roast pork ever. Crunch and no smellyWell.. duck is not my cup of tea.. a lot of little bones βΉοΈ. Bbq pork was so driedWe will visit again for roast pork!
Best roast duck in Perth! Friday lunch special $8 bbq pork, pickled veg & rice!
The roasted duck and the BBQ pork rib are must try! They are very well cooked, juicy with beautiful aroma. If Iβm not around they smell Chinese herbs like anis etc. They offer take away too.
The lunch special is definitely a good bargain, while the service could be better though... The staffs were quite indifferent and no smile at all. BBQ pork was not bad and portion was good.
Always a great Roasted Chinese meal, that is why they have been around for so long....... Yummy Crispy Duck, Pork and moist Chicken Soy.
Serves really good roast meats here! I would really recommend the roast duck and roast pork (and the BBQ roast pork too)! One of those places that really satisfies the cravings for some good Hong Kong style roast meat! I have to say, the quality of produce here in Australia makes it taste way better than in Hong Kong! Keep it up guys!
its wonderful lunch after a week in Margaret River and I needed some Asian food fix! Visited this restaurant 4 years ago at their old location. I remember it was a long q to wait. Thank God there was no q given it was odd hour to lunch about 2pm+ when I arrived.
There are always many people waiting for a meal.We had barbecue duck, barbecue pork, and plum sauce pork.We forgot to take a picture of the shrimp chip that came out while we were waiting. Its really a delicacy and I hope youll experience it.This is really my favorite Chinese restaurant and it is always recommended to people around me.We will visit next time as well
Located directly opposite Chemist Warehouse. Excellent boneless roast duck rice, besides other Chinese roast. Hot dishes are also available for order. Peak hours over lunch and dinner require queueing. Daily weekday specials are offered at up to 50% off the normal price. Nice, clean environment and good for kids as well. Credit cards accepted with minimum spend of AUD 30.
ROAST PORK!So why am I in a Chinese restaurant in Australia? Coz I the roast pork is just crazy good. Crisp skin, melt in your mouth fat and just enough white meat to balance the chew. The roast duck is 2nd placing but a must to complete a Chinese roast dinner with a lovely pot of seafood bean curd tofu. Generous portions of fish, squid and prawns to complement the well prepared tofu just washes down the roast with mouthfuls of steam rice. Been to Perth like countless times but I only bothered to review this one.
Superb roast duct served with rice or noodles. One of the best in Northbridge. Can be quite busy during lunch hours. There are rooms for improvement for service and manner of the waiters and waitresses. Take away available. Family friendly.
We had a "late" lunch here (around 4and there were still people queueing up for takeaway but dining in was empty. The restaurant is very big with lots of seats.During lunch time (before 5pm), they will have two menus on 50% discount. On Monday was BBQ pork, down to AU$6, and vermicelli, down to AU$8.The BBQ pork is very good, it is not soft and oily but has a great taste. The vermicelli (thin noodleshad a Indian curry flavour, so it depends on if you like Indian curries or not. The beef in black pepper was pretty salty, you would have to definitely have it with rice. The STAR of the meal: the roast duck. It was VERY good, as expected, its soft, it tastes great, and it lives up to our expectations.A great place to dine at!
Roasted meat combo is always tasty here and the Japanese tofu is also a favourite. Fast service, comfy seating, but can be noisy inside when busy.
I can cook better. Oh dear.. The roasted chicken. Duck, BBQ pork, roasted pork and wonton noodles taste sux. Its freaking expensive. U can get better out there at half of the price.
Satisfactory food - The roast pork and roast duck are good. The vegetables with garlic is good. The others are average. Polite service.
Great bbq meats. All the food here is of a high standard and authentic Chinese. It can be very busy and you sometimes need to wait.. but worth it.
