Homey spot offering a health-oriented eclectic menu with smoothies, bison burgers & veggie options.
I havent been here in years so I was excited to talk my family into going here for my birthday dinner tonight. Not once did anyone say "Hi" to us or "How are you today?" In fact everyone seemed annoyed we were there from the host to the food runner to our server, who I never knew was our server until she said " what do you want?" Horrible service. Noone checked in on us when we even got our food. Furthermore I was opening birthday cards from my family, clearly all over the table, and not once did say Happy Birthday can I get you a dessert. In fact my kids asked for the dessert menu and she said "here take it".Its so dad because I was looking forward to going back to this place that I once loved. I honestly can say that I will never go back and continue to give poor ratings. Also wayyyyyyyy over priced for whatever we got.
One of the best place in edina for food, its worth the money.
Limited but tasty Vegan options for lunch. Last time i checked, the patio is NOT dog-friendly 😞It would be nice to see vegan options for brunch.
A favorite to meet with friends and enjoy a delicious meal....favorite breakfast spot!!!
This place has really gone downhill fast. We ordered ahead and were told 15 minutes for our two wraps. I got there paid, and waited an additional 30 minutes to pick them up. I kept checking back even though he told me that he would bring them out, and our bag was just sitting there getting cold. The biggest problem is that no one cares even though they were not busy at all. And two chicken wraps and two cookies were $42, before tip. I can see why the place is mostly empty.
Our barista was incredibly rude we asked simple questions to learn more about what we were ordering and he gave us short angry responses. He made our drink hot when i asked for iced... no big deal at all, i asked him if i could have it iced and he rolled his eyes and just poured my hot drink in a cup with a few ice cubes which all meted while the drink still being warm. Overall awful service.
Great! Good was delicious. Waitress wonderful,
Waited an hour and a half for our meal and everything was wrong! Manager came over and offered to have our food remade but after being there for so long we just wanted to eat. For our inconvenience she offered us 1 free dessert.🙄
The restaurant was not that busy, and we got seated right away. The waitress was very helpful. I ordered the veggie burger, and it tasted like it was done in a microwave oven, it was awful, had no taste at all.To me this restaurant should not be in the Edina gallery. It seems dated and has the feel of a diner of the 90s in a retirement village.
Decided on a whim to try this place out for some healthier meal choices. We got a table on the patio which I wouldn’t recommend doing unless you want to be swatting at flies throughout your meal. I got the pan seared gnocchi which came with a salad and health bar. The gnocchi was clearly microwaved as the plate was super hot and had lost any crispness in the dish which was disappointing. The vinegrette that came with my salad was bland and mostly olive oil. The best thing I ate here was the strawberry rubarhb bar which was delicious. Overall I expected more from this restaurant, not worth a revisit
Always refreshing, and guilt free eating. You feel like you did your body good! Love the Good Earth! Love the summer outdoor seating and although many fabulous other things to sip on and enjoy, their famous tea ( bottomless cupis a must!
Love their location in Roseville, but this one is even better! Love their new additions to the menu like their new specials
Good Earth iced tea was awesome! The cup of gazpacho soup was fantastic! Service was top notch! The thai wrap was not good at all. Seemed like it was canned chicken with a few sprinkles of fresh veggies. Very bland. Id recommend something different.
Lovely spot for a bite to eat - whether casual or marking an occasion. I recently went for a date night and enjoyed great service and one of the best dishes Ive ordered in quite some time. Quality ingredients and perfectly seasoned and prepared.
Got a $10 BLT wrap and have never been more disappointed. Was a piece of tortilla wrapped in 90% lettuce with brown hard boiled egg and soggy bacon. Very disappointed and will not be coming back.
We stopped in for a quick bite, and this place delivered. Service was great, very friendly and gave us the perfect amount of attention. The Turkey Club was fresh and flavorful, great for a light lunch on the patio. We also tried the Thai Chicken Flatbread. It had a lot of chicken (which was nice), and the peanut sauce that came with really had a good punch!
My mom and I had just your size, terriaki chicken, jasmine rice, ginger carrot soup and fruit. Plus there awesome hot tea😊
Its okay. Food was more expensive than its quality would have you expect. Its still decent food, but not 15-20 bucks good (maybe my prices are still stuck pre pandemic?). Getting the food was really slow though. Quesadilla was super bland though; I recommend avoiding that. This restaurant has been here awhile so Im sure the health food gimmick was unique back then, but now theres like 5 restaurants in both uptown and northeast that do the same thing but better. Also, I just want to gripe about my burger having a million different seeds in the bun. Why? I dont need to feel like Im eating bird food to believe the dish is eco friendly. You can put the seeds in the bun if you think it adds good flavor, but it makes the presentation of the burger comical. Wish I had a pic.
Tomato Carrot soup and 1/2 Veggie sandwich along with Spiced iced tea makes a great lunch.
Decent choices, all pretty healthy. Not a lot of vegan options, but they will make a lot of substitutes for you to make it vegan.
Good food, but mildly surly service. They have an outrageous 5% small print add-on to their bill. This means that between that fee, tip and tax, your bill is a good 33% higher than the menu pricing. I wont be back until this business changes its deceptive business practices with this largely hidden 5% fee. Be more transparent and increase your menu pricing.
Been coming here for over 20 years ... over the last 1.5 years the portions get smaller and smaller ... and the price gets higher and higher for no reason. These recipes have not changed in DECADES ... the quality has declined and the service and management has become lethargic. A sandwich from the deli is 1/3 of the size it once was, typically soggy, and double if not more the price. GOOD EARTH use to have good quality and a standard... it has now become the most basic restaurant around. Very sad ... 😔
I just had the Body Slam shake but I was very happy with the choice! Its a lot of delicious peanut butter, carob and frozen yogurt and made my tummy very happy.
Twice in the past several weeks. The seafood stew surpassed my expectations. I hope it finds a spot on the regular menu. Curious about why it was served differently in Edina than it was in Roseville? Both were delicious but Edina served it in a bowl with what seemed like a much larger portion.
Ordered a seasonal salad with chicken and the chicken breast was so overcooked I couldnt eat it. I told my server and she said all the chicken for these types of salads was cooked together at the beginning of the day, meaning it had been prepared over 4 hrs before it was served to me - no wonder it was so bad. She replaced it with "a different kind of chicken" and that was OK. I thought the food here was prepared fresh...well,at least the iced tea was awesome as usual.
Came here for a Friday night dinner. Had a reservation for 6:45 pm and we were there on the dot and promptly seated. We noticed a booth empty and we asked if we could be seated there instead of the table. And the hostess said that only people with reservations had a choice of seating and despite having one we couldn’t be seated there. I really didn’t know what that meant especially because two old women who came right after us were seated in that booth. I found that annoying because how is a first timer supposed to know they have booths that can be specified during reservation. But other than that, our food was very good and service was quick, and attentive. I am kind of in-between about docking off a star but decided not to because we had a good rest of our experience especially by our server. We ordered a hibiscus mimosa, the asparagus cream soup, veggie nachos and a wok seared vegetables. It was a good amount of food for two, but we actually finished off everything between the two of us.The food felt fresh and despite feeling full, didn’t feel bloated or uncomfortable. The salsa and the guacamole for the Nachos were especially nice. It wasn’t greasy and had a good mix of cheese, vegetables and the beans and was also seasoned well. The asparagus soup could have done with a little more salt but it wasn’t a big deal as we just added it ourselves.I would definitely recommend going here if you’re in the neighborhood or are at the mall. Seems like reservations would help especially on weekend nights and if you’re a first timer don’t forget to put that booth request in the reservation if you want one.
My black son-in-law was with his 2 small children wanting to get a table for 5. Several white people were seated. He was asked if he had a reservation and he said no. It was 4: 45. He was told no table would be available until 6PM. My white daughter and I showed up and after 2 people looked on the seating schedule, they found us a table. Looked and felt racist. The manager offered him a free meal. He said no thanks, he can pay for his meals. Needless to say we left.
Fab- U- Lous ! Atmosphere, staff, food- Fabulous! Everything was so enjoyable. Great selections, food was so full of flavor!
Ive never had a bad food/drink experience here. The servings are healthy and the ingredients are upper-tier. 90% of my business with Good Earth is takeout, and this rating applies mainly to that part of the business. Of the 6-8 takeout orders Ive placed over the last few years, half were either missing an item or included something I asked to be omitted. My last order was the Salmon hash, which includes egg (I was even asked over he phone how I wanted my eggs preparedbut no eggs in the final product. On at least 2 prior occasions, the mushroom and swiss omelette I selected was to be without cheese but cheese was included...a lot of it. I had to try pulling it out by hand which didnt really work out. Good Earth pricing is a shade higher than I would expect, even for all natural/organic, so the expectation of attention to detail is of course going to be at a higher premium. Again, decent menu, good food, lackluster takeout service. Im going elsewhere for my next order.
Sandwich was good but our waitress should have been writing down orders with as busy as it was because she didnt get any of it right. We ordered warm chicken salad melts and chips and got cold sandwiches and salad instead. Not worth $20. And after waiting an hour we didnt want to order new food. Disappointing.
Our few past experiences at the Edina Good Earth have been good and today we returned after a long absence, our first time for breakfast. Our server, Cindy, set the stage. She was friendly, professional and efficient. She gave us enough attention without hovering. The food was nicely presented, a good temperature and very tasty! The coffee was excellent too. A very pleasant meal!
After waiting too long at another close by restaurant, were went here and got in right away. Should have gone here first because the service and the food were excellent. Good Earth is always a top notch eatery.
Service was nice but food was sub-par at best. I paid $20 for a grain bowl with tofu and it wasn’t flavorful or satisfying. Won’t be going back here unless they get serious about serving GOOD food.
Good food, fast and friendly service. Gluten free friendly options. Menu variety. Often have a wait for a table, call ahead and/or plan to shop in the Galleria while waiting.
I ordered the grain bowl. There was absolutely no flavor. I got a to go box so I could add flavor when I got home. My husband had a burger with a super dry bun. We were not impressed and I’m not very picky.
Had potato soup and 1/2 tuna sandwich. The soup was only lukewarm and the sandwich was awful (dry). My friend had a breakfast omelet which she said was good. I probably wont eat here again.
Went here with my pca client , and we really enjoyed the food and the calming ambience. The plating is beautiful and so flavorful for it being healthy food. I forgot my servers name, but she was very attentive and very kind. She treated my client and I very well. Would definitely come back again!
Well to begin, I would probably maybe go here again but like not as much as j would with other places. All in all,, the service is amazing and the food is pretty good. But like the only "bad" thing is the price. The prices of some of the stuff is insanely overpriced, while some dishes are worth their price, others like the thai noodles are not. The cucumbers they gave were so bitter💀 and it wasnt really a bunch... it was basically vegetables with a side of noodles. But then again thats just my perspective, I still think the other stuff was SO GOOD. Like I said before, I might go here again but its pretty sussy. I think (emphasis on thinkthat its like a mexican fusion typa restaurant because some of the dishes had its own "twist" on it, but I mean the cholula sauce hit different😳
Always have had a good experience here. The thai wrap is the best thing on their takeout menu we have had it many, many times. I tried the chicken salad this week also and loved it as well. Will be back!
Turkey meatloaf is the absolute best! Carrot cake was also incredibly good as were the cocktails. Made my wife happy on her birthday and its a great place for an occasion.
I enjoyed sitting on the patio. It felt good to be alive as we listened to other peoples conversations!! Im seriously just happy to hear something other than my boyfriend scrolling through Instagram. The veggie burger is delish and they have the best 5 pm cup of coffee Ive had in a while.
It wasn’t busy when we arrived and progressively got busier through the evening. Our server quickly forgot about our table. She was so busy attending to other tables filled with rich older ladies. We had to flag her down each time to get our order in, ask for water refills (small water glass), ask for a box, and even for the bill!!! Honestly, I understand if you’re busy, but we were the only one forgotten. Our server did not write down our order, and sure enough forgot our appetizer. She told my friend that she didn’t say it, but I CLEARLY remembered she did. The server forgot but put the blame on her. To top it off, we found hair on my friends food AND on our appetizer. We told the manager later on and the manager took off the appetizer from the bill. She asked why we didn’t tell our server. I told her, we couldn’t even find the server. I tried getting her attention when she passed by by saying, “excuse me!” and she ignored us. I had to get a clean up worker for our bill because we couldn’t get her to assist us. Food was mediocre. We will never come back.
Incorrect order. I was with a family, and didnt have time to reorder. Wanted the cashew chicken sandwich, and instead a huge, very difficult to eat salad with lots of spinach tails was brought out.Luckily, I brought 1/2 of it home for another meal.No bread on the side any longer, or bread basket.
I would give zero as a rating if I could. Horrid service and average food at best. We literally stood at the waitress stand waiting to be seated for 10 minutes before someone even approached us to check in. Once seated, it was over 45 minutes before our order was taken. We received our initial waters and drinks, we didnt get refills until we had to flag someone down, and even then the meals were nearly gone by the time the refills arrived. We ate our meals without drinks. I ordered the Salmon with Broccoli and Black Beans. The beans had a crust on them by the time they reached our table from the warning lights. The salmon was dry and had a hard crust of sorts at the corners. We ordered soup to be brought out before the meal. It didnt show up until we asked after the meals we delivered. It had also been on the line for a while - cold and with soggy tortilla chips. Im generally very forgiving of wait staff and Restaurants. This is the first time in 30+ years I was so disappointed I left a light tip (light for me is less than 15%).
An oldie but goodie. This place is for ladies who lunch (just kidding)! Iced tropical green tea, dining on the patio, amazing salads…….my favorite the vegetarian burrito. There is always a crowd, fresh and delicious food and plenty of hot and cold house brewed tea being sipped. My consistent love affair with this place has lasted about 25 years.
Good food and service. Just be careful what you order, especially if never gone before.
Disappointing. In the past we have been pleased. The past week we both ordered soup, half chicken salad sandwich and a side of steamed broccoli. Basically the meal was warm to cold when served. The sandwich was okay, the soup warm, the broccoli cold. I should have sent it back but with another couple and didn’t want an issue. Paying the bill I asked the young lady if she was the manager. She indicated she was , I told her about our experience, especially the broccoli and she thanked me. My wife is one of Good Earth’s biggest fans. Her comment was “don’t need to go back there for awhile”.
Had a great dinner with friends. Love the Hot and Spicy tea. Very nice Vegan and Non Vegan options.Darrell went above and beyond to provide excellence. Our many thanks!!!!
Staff was very friendly and busy. Atmosphere was okay, food was okay. The plates were not very filling. The coconut chicken curry barely had any chicken in it and came with a very tiny bowl of rice. We were also surprised by the use of plastic straws.
Great food, friendly staff. Call ahead for busy nights, but a normal weeknight is probably unnecessary. Has text waiting to tell you when your table is ready so you can explore the rest of the mall. All the food is natural, a lot of seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients. You get a free bread basket, and fruit cups (fresh fruit, not something in syrupfor the kids. Serves beer and wine and has patio seating and a takeout side (mainly for desserts). Try the sweet & spicy tea: imagine a Big Red gum taste.
