Nano Nagle Place, Douglas St, Centre, Cork, T12 PXV1, Ireland, Cork
Good Day Deli - Cafe in Cork, Ireland
Vegan options available but all with kind of blunt taste. Extra star for wine options including biodynamics, skin maceration whites and pet-nat and some with all these in the single bottle. Great surrounding.
Wonderful food in a beautiful setting
The place is amazing, beautiful garden, food is delicious but pricey. Will come back to the little calm oasis in the city.
beautiful location, impecable service & extremely pleasant staff. i do believe the price of the food is a reflection of the experience rather than the food itself. had it not have been for the fantastic service, i would have been unhappy paying the price.
Lovely location, horrible staff... Overpriced and small servings. Refused to do even the basics of customer care like replacing pears on pancakes with a few strawberries (which were also on the menu). Staff have a serious attitude problem which will not serve this business well in the long run.
Thoughtfully created seasonal menu in a beautiful oasis in the city. I was a little hesitant to eat strawberries withpesto on toast.. but it works! Absolutely would return here. Vegan, celiacs catered to.
I absolutely love that place! I make sure all of my friends try it at one stage or another. Both brunch and lunch menus are amazing, great options available. Fish tacos are an all time favorite! Always great service and coffee in beautiful surroundings! I keep coming back and will continue to do so!
Very interesting menu with many delicious options and the staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely will visit again.
An absolute pleasure to eat here ...food delicious...definitely try the fish tacos...the staff are friendly, courteous and efficient. The location is beautiful...well done.
Beautiful garden, tasty deserts
The service was impeccable and the food just divine 😍😍
The coffee was amazing. The food was good but a little bit pricy.
Honest review: if you are visiting Cork this is a must go cafe with a great selection of dishes. They also have Gluten Free breads. Staff is super friendly and the service was great!!Highly recommend the Turkish Eggs
Great location, great food and great service. Too bad you get a time slot for the table, we would have stayed there all day of we could have!
Beautiful food, tasty and delicious. I felt energized after eating there, and its set in the middle of a garden, so every view is a masterpiece.
Booking recommended! We were lucky to get a seat but usually it’s necessary to book in advance (and it’s absolutely worth it!). The lunch was outstanding, especially the smoked beetroot. Delicious coffee and kind staff. The garden is super pretty and the interior also well done.
Beautiful surroundings for a fabulous brunch. Friendly efficient staff and sweet treats were delicious. Would recommend the chocolate beamish cake. Will be back to this hidden gem again!
Kia Ora/Dia Duit,Fantastic from start to finish. Met Agnes in the shop downstairs who was a great person to welcome you to the whole Nano Nagle place then up to the cafe where the experience got even better! Thanks to all the team and to Shane the chef! Amazing. Seriously, if you are in Cork, go here! Highlight from our trip back from Australia.Shane and Jo McKeogh
Amazing hidden gem of a place. Beautiful location, with really friendly and helpful staff. Vegetarian focussed and sustainably run. Does get very busy, so calling in advance is advised. But even if you turn up and have to wait, it’s such a lovely location that it’s a pleasure to pass the time there.
Came here years ago and recently returned - still just as good. Great food and proper good coffee and lovely staff in a beautiful setting.
Amazing food! Great people, great vibes. Loved it!
The good day deli is a little slice of heaven in cork city. Food wise the menu hasnt changed much in the last while. We had fish tacos. They were a bit bland but the fish was beautifully soft, just needed more umph.
Lovely lunch in beautiful surroundings. All the staff were very friendly and professional. A little pricey though!
We went here for breakfast (family of 5). The setting is beautiful, like a hidden oasis. Staff couldnt be nicer and the food is delicious but what I am really disappointed with, is their prices. A small coffee is €4, which is the most expensive I have come across so far in Ireland. We also got 1 babychino and 1 small cup of cold milk, for 2 of our little girls, and they charged €2.25 for each. Most places I go to only charge about €1.50 for a babychino and any other cafe I have been to, do not charge for a small glass of cold milk. Itd be cheaper to buy a litre of milk in a shop. We also ordered a portion of toast for one of our little girls and they charged €3 for 1 small slice of toast. I love eating out and trying new places for coffee and honestly, this cafe is just going way beyond prices of anywhere else Ive been to. So although it was nice, their prices have certainly put me off returning in the future.
Good Day Deli do the best chips on the planet bar none. There is no physical menu but a QR code which has to be scanned. I assume its all in the name of sustainability but, not gonna lie, its a tad annoying unless you have someone with a bit of tech savvy along with you!Its not cheap but all the the ingredients are locally sourced and everything is handmade including the ketchup, imagine. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming and the staff are so shiny, friendly and healthy looking its delightful. My party did notice that although there are sweet treats etc on the premises they didnt seem to be featured on the online menu but I could be wrong.Definitely worth revisiting!
This is one of my favorite places to have lunch or brunch in Cork. Its a treat to have healthy beautiful food in such a beautiful garden setting.
This is a lovely places. Good services and how friendly are they. Fantastic food with amazing ingredient. 👍🏻
While difficult to locate, the actual location of the restaurant is superb, with flower petals drifting down beside you and a wonderful garden environment. At first glance, the food seems to be pricy for its portions, but everything on the table is as homemade and fresh as it gets, to the point where you don’t need the staff to tell you it’s homemade to know that it is. I had the fish tacos, which were very delicious but the homemade sauces truly stole the show. I also highly recommend the apple juice, which although is pricy at four euros, is truly comparable to the apple juice of Aomori. Truly a hidden gem.
Hidden gem! Must go to if you’re veggie/vegan in Cork. Staff were attentive and friendly, food was delicious and the setting is beautiful! You can my a day out of it; walk around the gift shop, gardens and pay into the museum. We will be back!
Where do I begin. Good Day Deli is located in a fabulous place that’s not only historical but nature filled and relaxing. Staff was great and one of them offered to take a picture of us ( family of 3). Food was spectacular and unique. Definitely a hidden gem in Cork.
Set in the middle of a gorgeous garden, the food and service at Good Day Deli was impeccable. The lentil burger was the best vegan burger we ever had and those chips were full of wholesome homemade goodness. We also had the pancakes and those were exactly what is needed for a Sunday morning - crispy with a generous serving of berries. The flat whites were excellent - like the ones I had in New Zealand strong and robust.Servings were generous and we didn’t have space for cakes. :(Definitely much needed for the soul and we will come back!Brunch is served all day with an additional menu for lunch from 1230pm. We spent about 40 for the 2 of us.
Was very excited to try here after hearing about all the hype. The food was nice, the coffee was very nice, all necessary Covid precautions in place, staff were extremely friendly. Sat outside, it was fairly cold. Would definitely recommend going for a visit. Glad I tried it, but at the same time I won’t be rushing back.
Obvious choice for brunch anytime I visit Cork. Every item on the menu looks amazing. This time I went for salmon benny - and wasn’t disappointed! It arrived quickly and was lovely presented. Salmon felt fresh and was of the highest quality. Served on a lovely sourdough with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Good size portion, great service, friendly staff. What I love particularly about this place is the interior and a lovely setting - it really adds on to the whole experience! It’s bit pricey, but worth visiting if you want to treat yourself.
friggin delicious.amazing hidden locationswish service.had the fish tacos and the halloumi stacks. no wine as we were driving but theres a lovely short list of bits I want to drink (all of them)book in advance
Its a gorgeous place, with a wonderful garden. The café staff were excellent. They found a table for me, though I didnt have a reservation. When I was leaving they thanked me addressing by the name. Food was accommodated to my dietary requirements, looked and testes lovely too. Highly recommended.
Wonderful food, great welcoming staff. Outdoor seating is an added value. Will definitely be back.
The food here was unbelievable, we came for breakfast and I had the coconut pancakes with berries they were the best I have ever had. The staff are so nice and really attentive. We sat outside and had our own lovely spot where we got a beautiful view of the gardens, its so peaceful here. It was our first time here and ordering was a little confusing as you needed a QR scanner which none of us had, so I would advise maybe downloading one before your trip but it was so nice not to get printed menus this place is all about sustainability which I love. We will definitely be back to try the lunch menu!
Fell in love with this place. It’s so nice and the staff is so lovely. I think they have the best pancakes I have ever had. Especially with the coconut mascarpone. If you don’t want walk in circles like I did, just try to go to the Nano Nagle Place, because it’s hidden inside a big area with a park. Really lovely
Amazing place. Stunning staff that really makes you feel like home. Healthy food is amazing too!If you in a lucky sunny day, i highly recommend you to stay outside so u can enjoy the garden and the breeze. For breakfast i suggest the smoked salmon bruschetta, you wont regret. For desert, definitely the red berries pancake, its delicious.Rate 10/10
Wow, nice Café in a beautiful setting surrounded by a pretty garden with wild flowers in the Nano Nagle Place complex. Staff is lovely, coffee is really good quality and food is really tasty and decorative. I absolutely loved their barry pancake. I can absolutely recommend to switch off from a busy city life.
Stumbled upon this by accident and couldnt be more content. Amazing service, great coffee and beautiful menu. The kitchen was a bit busy, so they asked me if it was okay if I ordered a bit later, which was completely fine. Because of the nice weather I could sit outside and enjoy the beautiful garden. My poached eggs were perfect. The staff were amazing. Totally recommend this place! If Im ever back in Cork, I know where Ill be having my brunch!
Amazing place. The gift shop and garden were really cool. Would recommend visiting on a sunny day. Place is quaint and really hipster. Tons of vegetarian and vegan options. Would definitely come back.
Great food, if a touch pricey, in a beautiful location. Strong emphasis on locally sourced and fresh and great for vegetarians.Expect to queue if you turn up on a sunny weekend after midday.Fish tacos are the fish that seems to get the most notice, and they are lovely.Super for a weekend brunch or coffee and cakes.Only thing to watch out for is that when full it can be quite noisy in there - think about asking for an outside table if bringing elderly relatives or anyone with hearing difficulties.
Service is amazing : The waiters are very nice and make sure that you feel comfortable.Food is a great : the ingredients are fresh and deliciously cooked. The view outside is enjoyable. It was overall a great experience that I recommend.
Great spot for brunch especially going into spring! Sitting outside gives you the opportunity to enjoy the sun, garden and your meal! The salmon egg ben was good and people on duty were attentive make sure everything was going alright at the outdoor sitting area. Thumbs up for the whole package on a good weathered day:)
Wonderful food, good wholesome ingredients and healthy eating. Nice coffee choices with very tasty selection of cakes. Unobtrusive, yet attentive table service. Could have been 5 stars but the menu is a bit on the pricey side.
Love this Place! The staff is delightful and the food very delicious! They serve west cork coffee which is great! My favorite menu item (they changebut currently it’s the salmon Benny! It’s located in such a serene beautiful place.
Wow!!Clare and Kristin looked after our recent evening dinner event superbly… They demonstrated what amazing food you can create if you follow sustainable and healthy principles.Service was excellent and portions more than adequate to feed an army. Kristins explaination of their philosophy and approach was great.Highly recommend.
A little slice of heaven in the city. Just the walk into the café is so peaceful and enjoyable. Sustainable food served in stunning surroundings with exceptional staff. You really cant go wrong. Prices slightly on the higher side but it is worth every cent and some! You can feel the love and care that goes into this place. My top space in the city. Just go there!
Great brunch! I had the salmon and the poached eggs, so fresh and tasty. The cakes and the coffee were delicious too. This place is a little hidden gem in the heart of the city I have to say.It was sunny and bright and we were seated outside. The staff were helpfull and friendly....a bit pricy but it is worth it!
