Golf Center Des Plaines - Golf driving range in Des Plaines, United States
98% of the time they always got to stall open that you can practice your golf with
Great place. Price is average. Can get busy depending on time.
Great night experience. Really really slow greens. No, really. The greens are slow.
Came here to play golf under the lights and was shocked to see that this place has it all. 3 tier driving range, bar / restaurant with outdoor seating. And the most unique feature is the 9 hole golf course that you can play past datrk because it is lit up. Short holes but it does have it challenges as some longer carries over water and some green that you cannot power over without losing your ball.
Quick chip and putt 9 hole course. Plays short and quite fast on dry days.
Cool automated driving range and fun 9-hole par 3 course.
It is a good place for golfers of all skill levels. Well maintained driving range.
I’ll give this place a 2 solely because the driving range and bar is excellent. It’s getting a 2 because unless you like hitting 1 full shot every 9 holes and like hitting the ball 5x faster on the green than you should, you shouldn’t play the course here. I feel like I just played 9 holes and it wasn’t even close to the conditions of any legitimate course. Every tee box is like a fairway bunker and is moved up like 20 yards because every one is loaded with divots. I don’t expect premium conditions but I shouldn’t have to knock sand off my clubs and shoes on the tee box. Don’t play the 9 hole course if you want to practice actual golf.
Best driving range and 9 hole in Chicago
Nice range. They have both a 3 tier covered area with artificial turf, or natural grass hitting areas. The staff was super helpful. Walked up, they took my card and gave me a token for the balls, they then took the card and ran it inside and brought it back to me while I was hitting balls. Very good service.
They are racist and treat people like dogs, every time I go I am treated horribly and every time I call they answer and hang up on my face, the workers at the front desk won’t even talk to me I made an appointment online then I called an hour before my tee time to make sure it was there and they said it was booked and I told them I have a receipt for it then they just hanged up
Love the place, wish they open late on Sunday and closed early on Monday and/or Tuesday instead!
Newer Srixon balls. Very clean. New chairs to take a break. Just need new Sradium Lights from Lead Electric!!
Personally I dont like hitting off mats but this is a great place to practice your teeoff for the tees are automatically adjusted. Also has grass teeth so you can practice your iron shots
Attended meeting in second floor meeting room. Food was great! Attentive staff and pre-meet bar was efficient. Pleasant bartender. Great experience.
The best place to practice golf omg I love this place nice place
Great place to hit some balls. Would get 5 ⭐ if the machine didnt need to be reset after every 10 balls. The workers were great and fixed then fast. Drinks at the bar are great too!!! Played the 9 hole today. It was a nice course
State of the art, heated and automated range, with friendly staff. The Pro-Shop has a great demo program, I got to try pre release clubs. Restaurant next door is also great. They are always open, I came literally in the middle of a winter storm and was treated so well.
Out dated equipments that stop working frequently. No launch monitor, no mirror to check your swing. Nice part is, there is heater which is nice for winter season.
I brought my son for his 11 year old birthday with three of his friends. The driving range was pretty full but we found a spot right away. The people next to us were nice even though our group was a little loud. The kids had a really fun time, and they even occasionally hit the ball! If you go on a Monday, its super inexpensive. 5/5 would recommend!
They have both grass and mat diving range options. Fair prices for the type of facility. And a 9-hole course you can play under lights until late
Best golf complex in the general area. Can often get quite busy at night. The short game practice area is a blast and a great way to spend 8 bucks. The driving range is fairly standard but the distances are pretty clearly marked
Why anyone would give this place lower then 5 stars is just odd to me. They’re the best driving range by far, with the best prices per ball. They also have a solid chipping area and 9 hole course with lights for an evening round. Golf center > Top Golf—Any day.
Highly recommend coming here to practice your swing. There are three levels but I prefer keeping at ground level. The staff is nice, thank God there’s a bar, and they’re open late!Golf center is much nicer than a anticipated. I will definitely return for practice.
Staff is very friendly. Its a par 3 course with the longest hole probably around 200 yards. Only downside to the course is that no one fixes their divets. Thats more of a player problem than a course problem though.
Always top notch. Great facility. Letting the little guy try the big boy Cobra driver. We may have a little Ricky Fowler on our hands.
If youre a golfer and love club life style... or even if you want to learn how to Golf its never to late to learn to join or continue your sport Hobby.
My favorite driving range. Great staff, good play areas, automated tees and balls, easy reloadable cards. However, they could give some love to the left handed folks. There are about 5 stations for left handlers and most on the ground level. Maybe 1-2 on the top level. Also they are pretty worn out.
Drinks inexpensive, decent bar food, the driving range and practice area are amazing. 0.08 per ball on Mondays for the range.
One of the best driving ranges in Chicago land area. Very kind and helpful employees. Great even in the winter as they have heated booths. Also automatic tees. So if you have a bad back or can’t bend that well this is your driving rang! The also have a 3 par light course for night play.
I went here for the first time on Friday and I loved it so much I came back on Saturday! Especially during times of COVID-19 this place is the best. The automatic tees are GOAT and the heaters above where you stand on the mats are clutch. Making this my new winter spot. GCDP, this range is great, thank you!
Great place to hit balls and improve ball striking, the 9 hole par 3 course is solid and challenging. Good restaurant & bar as well!
Great range, has automatic ball machines at mats, grass tees if thats your thing and a short game practice area with bunkers and greens. Fantastic spot.
Chipping, putting, range, 9 hole course. Bar after. Everything you need for a good day of golf.
The golf course was a huge let down. Looked much better online. The holes are so short that you can’t even use a full swing. The 200 yard holes were not nearly this long in reality. Poorly taken care off as well. Don’t go here for the golf course.
This place is good because its open late and the only lit course in the county. Great for working on your short game. I wish the range would get new balls, though.
I use the driving range during the winter and summer. Its a great facility and the rates are fair. The bar/ restaurant they have is nice for when my fiancee joins me and doesnt want to hit balls as long as I do.
The staff there is phenomenal! They will do everything they can to cater to you and make you happy! With that being said... practice golf etiquette when youre there because they have to be polite, dont take advantage.
Excellent place for practice. 3 story driving range. I prefer ground level, easy entry and more natural then hitting from upper floors. Fan and heater above each hitting station. Also has a golf pro shop, sports bar, 9 hole lighted par 3 course, large short game practice area for a $7 daily pass fee, and a very nice practice putting green. Buy a practice ball pass and hit as many or as few balls as you like each session.
Great first experience for our family together. Kids are young and they were able to keep up and had a ball!!!! 2 adults and 2 juniors with a pull cart was $53 for about an hour and 40 min.
This course is Chicagos only fully lighted course. A must play after dark. During the summer you can play until midnight. The course itself is very straightforward and plays in about an hour and a half. No motorized carts, but you can buy a pull cart for your bag. I would bring a few extra balls since water comes into play on a couple of the holes. Dont overshoot either or you will lose your ball in the woods. Theres also a putting green and driving range to practice on beforehand. Club Casa Cafe is a nice place to grab a bite and watch the game on the way out.I generally only try to golf this course at dark. It is a little more expensive, but its worth it for the experience. The DP Park District also offers the daylight answer to this course a few miles away at Lake Park Golf Course.
Yesterday i obtained my first experience in golf . It was Really easy and fun to do )If you don’t know how to play don’t be shy and try it out . Everybody can do it and golf center make it easy for you . Staff in there is very courteous and explained all i need to know about golf before i step over .The system is easy to understand and not really expensive .Definitely it wasn’t the last time , i will try again )))Thank you Golf Center for great experience .
Their driving range is top notch - you can easily go get yourself a beer too. Automated tees and everything. You can pay for grass tees if you want it. I also used the GolfTec services here and was very pleased.
Absolutely great place. Just like a neighborhood corner tavern with good food and abundant choices. Nice specials. My favorite is the Friday night fish fry. Unlimited cod or, for a little extra, delicious perch. Friendly service too.
I played the 9-hole course at about 10:00 at night on a Thursday. Because it is one of the few courses with lights in Chicagoland, there were plenty of golfers on the course with me late in the night. I made a tee time, but that didnt stop other people from going out right when I was supposed to. Also, the group ahead of me was vaping the whole 9 holes which was really pleasant for me (sarcasm intended). The staff was somewhat unpleasant to be honest. Not a great overall experience.
I dont like this place because its hard to see where you ball lands cuz the light color turf they have, its also expensive to hit balls there. Havent been back for a year or so,,, didnt really enjoy my 3 times there, Ive been a avid golfer for years and Im sure a few good changes would be nice,
830 tee time last night. We arrived at 730. The guy with glasses at front desk says the weather is shifting and we should get out there. We finished the first hole and the lights went out to hole and proceeded to happen each hole. Obviously wanted to get out and get to his week end. The rain ended up coming around midnight btw. The kitchen closes at 9 oclock. This was a Saturday night. First and last visit for me. Service sucks
Nice automated range. If you have been to Skokie Sports Park, this place will feel familiar. Only difference is, the range card must be kept on the machine to work. There is a small grass tee off area to the south of the automated tees, as well.
I went to the driving range and to the restaurant. There are multiple levels to the driving range so it is rare that there will not be an available position for you. They have an automatic ball system which saves you from doing a lot of bending. The restaurant staff is very attentive and helpful. The fish fry is good and they have a good beer selection.
Whether youre an avid golfer or a casual player, this is the place for you in the Greater Chicago area! They have an actual par-3 course, an outdoor short game practice area, and 3 levels of driving ranges. The best part about the driving range is that the tees are automatic and adjustable to your swing. My favorite part about the actual course is that its lit so you can get 9 holes in after dinner! They also cater to all of your golf needs by providing a restaurant, golf shop, and golf instructions in the facility. If you love golf, this is the place for you!
