Golden Star Restaurant in Goulburn

Delicious food, and some nice dessert options. We had the Brazed beef Chow Mein and the sizzling combination and the meat melted in your mouth!Staff was really friendly. I’ll look forward to coming back on my next stop in Goulburn!

Very very very slow service

Great food and well priced

Shared dinner here and can not recommended them higher. The food was delicious , we had salt and pepper king prawns , crispy skin chicken and fried rice. Service was excellent. Staff helpful and friendly. Will definitely return.

Favourite Chinese restaurant by far. Been here too many times to count but staff are always friendly and the food is delicious and consistent every time.

After driving almost 7 hours we were told the wait for take away was 45 minutes, so I came back an hour later- it’ll be another 30 minutes. Really short staffed so the service was terrible. One young waitress could not have cared less.I hope the food is worth it!!!!

Extremely good, will go back if we pass by again.Well we made it back again, after a long absence due to Covid. Wife had a seafood stir fry and I had a curry chicken and rice. "a touch to much salt for me on the curry, wifes was very nice "

The best of what regional Chinese food can offer! We ordered chicken chow mein, sweet and sour pork, special fried rice and I have to say, it was some of the best I’ve ever had. Beautifully presented, well portioned and cooked perfectly.The staff were run off their feet balancing takeaway and dine-in but they still managed to be attentive and considerate without being over bearing.I would post photos but we scoffed it down way too quickly!

With regret on the night i took friends there for dinner i was disappointed with the meals as we left one hole dish all most untouched,, on paying the bill i mentioned it to the Chinese lady the response was none caring. It could be a aone off thing ,,,BUT i wont be in a hurry to go back for sure sorry i dont like giving a bad view but they need to improve their service and food .

Six of us ate in the restaurant on a Sunday evening. Four of us were from out of town. The food came out very quickly and was hot and fresh. The waitress, Lucy, was friendly and helpful. We would recommend the seafood combination and special fried rice in particular. Thank you for the wonderful service.

Worst food I ordered king prawns and mushrooms what came out was a shock ...it was a plate full of caned champigons and a few prawns I just couldnt eat this un appetizing meal. This place is definitely off our list

Had dinner there last night (24.1.2020). Before any food arrived, I had to use the toilet. The mens was spotlessly clean. If the toilets are clean, I think the kitchen would be even cleaner. Then came dinner. Very tasty, and very chilli hot, as I had asked for.And the young girls running the tables were very polite, friendly and attentive, even though they were busy.Next time Im in Goulburn, Ill be eating there again.Phillip Dunshea.

Excellent experience, delicious food and great service. Yup, just about sums up what I look for. Very pleasant experience.

Nice size serves, friendly staff and good variety on the menu. Limited parking out the front. Toilets inside and take away available. I will be going back for more.

Just in goulburn for night and wanted takeaway to have in motel room. Very tasty and restaurant staff very helpful.

Well priced quality food with good service

Not long moved to Goulburn. Tried nearly all the Chinese residents in town, Golden Star has to be the best Chinese food I have ever tasted any where, and the place is always clean & tidy. The service is really great and the staff are all very friendly, would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Always go here for my Chinese food. Lunch specials are generous and very cheap. Would be much better if dinner menu was a little bit cheaper too. Apart from that, never had a problem with any food or service.

We have twice enjoyed recent quality meals from their Special Luncheon Menu which is great value for those of us on a Budget(or expanding waist- line!).The setting is modern clean and friendly.

The clear glistening sauce over the cubes of carrot is once again a reliable indicator of bland "dumbed down" tastes left after nearly all the "Chinese" has been removed from the food. Beef and cashews tasted of ..... Cashews. I saw beef, but could not taste it. "Special" fried rice was definitely not special. Tofu .... Meh ! Satay sauce might have come from a clag bottle ?

Pretty standard takeaway Chinese. Open until 10pm was a saviour. Quick and polite service. No takeaway chopsticks?
