Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant in Marietta

I stop here for lunch and ordered the patties. The patties were not good at all. I got a beef and chicken. They were cold and the crust wasnt right very crumbly and falling apart. This place has kind of gone down to me. Not sure whats going on but my food was not good. This place used to be better than this.

I love this place!! They serve large portions and food is seasoned to perfection. Jerk chicken/pork is my favorite with a carrot juice. If theres a line... Dont leave they move fast to get customers served timely. Its not my mothers cooking but its closest Ill get for now.

Tried to come eat here today but they had the doors locked 20 mins before they were supposed to be closed. Really was hoping to enjoy some food from here but you all don’t close at the proper time.

I love Golden Crust but this time around I asked the food attendant for more curry sauce on my rice & she barely filled up her spoon I wouldnt have been so upset if it wasnt for the fact that the guy before me got oxtails and she poured extra sauce all over his rice. Also she asked him did he want extra I had to ask her. My curry chicken is very dry and Im just super disappointed.

A+On customer service !More of the variety is back in order.However, somethings salty some.

There was a little bit of a wait when I first got there, but the taste of the food and friendly service make it well worth it.I ordered the Ackee & salt fish meal which came with 3 dumplings and plantains, and it was absolutely delicious! PERFECTLY seasoned, and the dumplings were also very tasty. I had 2 fried & 1 boiled dumpling, and they were absolutely perfect.The prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are generous.I will definitely be back!

The Rasta pasta has too much MSG. Please stop cooking with that. MSG is not good to use.

Mi ah fi tell you the truth, this food be the bomb- dig- E- di!😋. Also had the spicy beef patti with the coco bread🤤 yum! I highly recommend

I don’t know why this place only has a 3.9 star review. The food here tastes much better than other Golden Krusts I’ve eaten at. The people that served us our food was friendlier than other Golden Krusts too. I had the fish and it was cooked to perfection. Just delicious!

It looked clean and brightly lit. Caribbean cuisine. I lived on Caribbean islands for a few years and my assistant is from St Croix so we were looking forward to authentic island food. Patties didnt look or taste any better than the frozen ones available at Dollar Tree - Eatable, but not at all impressive. Disappointing actually. My dog liked them. We got the Curry chicken with rice and cabbage. It was made with fresh ingredients and casually prepared and served in very sturdy take-out boxes. The spicing was just right for me. One entree made pleasant hardy meals for both of us. We thought it was authentic but not exceptional. I may give it another shot and try the curried goat.

One of the worst restaurant experiences I have EVER had. They had no menu, no pricing, slow service, and staff was disappointing. I got the oxtail and while the meat was good, the rice was dry. The meal alone cost $23 and wasn’t worth it. They ran out of multiple key items and didn’t post prices at all, which felt misleading.

I have always enjoyed the food here, I feel it is pretty clean. I get very frustrated because they are open at 9 AM but they are never open at 9 AM .I generally will wait about 20 minutes Past 9am but I have to go to work . Why not change hours if you seldom open on time?!!!!!!Edited (5/25/22 also tried 2 days later, 9:32am. NOT OPEN! Pathetic. Lost my business.

Vegan Veggie chunks are so so delicious! The chunks are made in house with a soy base. I haven’t found many vegan places in Marietta but this place is definitely one I’d come back to.When you come in ask for QB and she will let you sample whatever and make you feel apart of the Caribbean culture. They are also very very generous with the portions at a low price! Nice little spot that is very accommodating. Definitely recommend anyone going vegan or vegetarian to come try it out!

Very ignorant and unprofessional staff. My husband went to pick up food today and was charged for oxtails that he did not order. The staff told him he can not have his money back he will have to pick some off the menu. After your mistake of ringing up wrong item!? Get yourself together. No customer service what do ever. Food was not ok either. Waste of our time

Archer And the whole team at Goldencrest Marietta off of Cobb Parkway, are the best of the best. Quality food and service. What else do you need to know?

While my vehicle was at a nearby mechanic, I decided to work here while having lunch. I spent $30 on my single meal (with wateronly to be told that no one knew the WIFI password. Ha! For $30 per Oxtail/water platter, someone…. anyone on your team should at least be able to share the WI-FI password with customers, I know that the Golden Krust in Austell surely does. First and last visit.

The rice and peas was amazing. The cabbage tasted over boiled with no taste. The plantain was amazing. I also tried the jerk wings which also was amazing. The mac n cheese had way too much garlic powder otherwise it was good. The sweet stew chicken was also very good and tender. It wasnt really over sweet at all and I loved it. The large plate was a pretty decent portion. I had enough to eat on for 2 days.

Disgusting, this food had no flavor whatsoever. I just moved from Florida and they have actual Caribbean people working there, that actually season the food this food had no season at all.

My friend and I came here today to eat lunch and it was amazing. The staff are so friendly, especially Archer. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. I highly suggest you check this place out. They have the BEST curry chicken.

I came here twice will never be returning the first time the food was alright, servers and staff were VERY RUDE and my food was leaking when I got home. Second time I came here, which was today - Same thing THE STAFF IS RUDE. Don’t greet the customers and just continued to work on the food prep as I was waiting to order mind you they were not busy it was me and two other people. I was thinking about using them for catering an event, but after today they have officially lost a long time customer.

I have always bought at GK whenever I am in the mood for some Caribbean cuisine. On Friday afternoon after work I picked up curry goat rice and peas and that curry goat was tasteless or tasted funny. I was not sure. i knew something was wrong but I was not quite clear. I put most in the fridge thinking it was my appetite. Maybe I refuse to believe it was not tasting right. On Saturday I microwave and got ready but Yuck! The rice and peas were good the plantains were plantains but the curry goat Yuck yuck yuck! I want my money back or a fresh large plate of good curry goat!

I had the triple blend porridge (plantain, banana, and oatsand it was delicious. Best place to grab some jamaican breakfast or a quick patty. The oxtail is good too.

The woman serving the food behaved like I was the person or relative coming for dinner all the time skimming over and through the food of which pieces to give Me bit Im paying 30-35.00 for a so called large plate. The oxtails so small and tell they were frost bitten cause whatever little bits of meat was put in my plate was hard, tough, and stringy. Golden Krust give ppl what they are paying for. If Im paying over 25-30.00 for a plate put 30.00 worth of food in the plate.I ordered a large plate, it was or looked like a super small. The lady who served Me also was mixing the old oxtails into the new batch of oxtails, smh. If this is how they attend or intend to serve their ppl wont be ever going back. I had driven all the way here from South Carolina to come here. Very disappointing, extremely disappointing..............ATTENTION MANAGER..... I WANT A REFUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every time I come here I always spend more money than I planned to. They have a lunch special from Mon-Fri and you can get curry goat and chicken with 2 sides for just $8.99. A tale of two bags:Storytime - there is a cashier who is delightful when my mother comes in and purchases. My mother is of grandmother age and she usually orders a few meals, so the cashier has even arranged for someone to help my mother carry the load to the car. Very pleasant.Theres another cashier thats not impressed with some customers, including my mother. The last incident was she bagged a couple of drinks in a paper bag and as soon as my mother hit the door, the bag bus and the drinks fall and crack. This cashier claimed that my mother was in a rush and thats why she didnt bag it properly (big untruth), so we had to repurchase the drinks. Nuff time the meal spill out in the car when we are not in a rush. She also dishes her preferred customers food very "properly."Golden Krust - you are one of the most renowned black-owned franchisee businesses for over three decades and you should have Caribbean/soul food packaging on lock by now! Im referring to actual containers/bags and standard protocol. This shouldnt be one of the complaints that cause friction between patrons and your employees.Were Jamaican, but Im not with that whole - "If the employee not miserable, then the food nuh good." Nope. My mother went to buy some soup to bring to my father in the hospital, while shes sick herself. She willingly pays the full price, she dont beg discount, so she shouldnt have to leave with elevated blood pressure.I love having access to yard food conveniently, but I dont feel good coming back to this location. My mother pulled an "Im going to speak to the manager" but I dont know the manager just Google (she says hes a good person). I love seeing us be successful, but I love being in spaces where my mother is treated respectfully as a paying customer.

Always AUTHENTIC and delicious!! Today I had yellow rice, oxtail mixed w/curry goat, and steamed cabbage. As usual It was mouth watering!!! 😋 I love this location, the food is delicious, customer service is always great (Thanks Melissa and Archerbut most importantly the restaurant is clean. Highly recommended!!

I ordered online in the morning, received online confirmation of 540pm pick up. Part of the order was not available, but none of it was ready. The beef patties were dried out, old, and the edges were hard. Staff told me that although I placed and paid for my order online, I needed to call before I came in order to make sure that what I ordered online was available.Hmmm, uh you had 10hrs to prepare the fritters. Better yet just advertise that some items may not be available, and your order will definitely not be ready when you arrive. I had gone to one of their other stores, and and the service was great. I dont know what happened here 😭

The food is great especially the brown stew chicken. The ox tails are too expensive $20 for a small plate with 4 bones was not worth it to me however everything else was good for the price.

Cabbage tasted old like it had been reheated multiple times. The peas n rice tasted decent, however, the oxtails were mainly fat and bones. On top of that, theyre not a friendly bunch. I went there about two weeks ago and the rice wasnt even fully cooked/done but Im done and wont be back. Too many other choices.

I loved the oxtail with rice and cabbage. And my fave of all time is the beef patties. They remind me of growing up with my grandma. Im excited to try again and again.

Today the lady with "braids" in her hair was so rude and nasty. I waited in line for almost 10 minutes and she ignored me. A lady in the back came to the front and helped a woman that just walked in and had only been there less than a minute. I was so upset because that isnt right. You help the person that is next that has been waiting not the person that just arrived and didnt wait at all. Shame on them for the way they treated me today. Too many other places that have better food and better treatment of their customers.

Usually I have a pretty good experience with this restaurant, however lately the service has been terrible. The manager has an attitude problem where it seems like hes in such a rush that he cant listen to your order, like hes got to catch a bus or something. I went back today and the young lady acted the same way. There are some good employees there but they dont seem to be treated well either. I, along with my wife and son, were loyal customers, but count me out after two bad days. I guess they didnt need my money, because if they did they would have treated me better. New management isnt always better. BYE!!

The menu prices have changed, and they do not communicate the changes to the customer. We were just told the prices had changed. No apology or any type of compensation for the poor communication. $30 for a small order of ox tails and 5 chicken wings (the menu says 6 wings). We will not be returning to any of these restaurants.

Food is good. Service not so much. I have anxiety going in here because I never know what portion size I will get. Bought a large oxtail and got the same amount of meat as the small. Bought a large jerk chicken and got three small pieces of chicken. Bought a small and got three pieces of chicken. It all depends on who is taking out your food apparently. I like consistent service so I’ll go somewhere else. The oxtails are great but I shouldn’t feel nervous walking into an establishment. I’ve seen the person in front of me get a plate of oxtails with plenty of meat then I order a large and get 4 oxtails on my plate.

I love the fact that manger is willing to speak with you if you are not satisfied and he is willing to make it right. The restaurant is committed to serving the community and they thrive for customer satisfied. The food is good. Give them a try

I love coming to Golden Krust! Everytime I come in the friendliness of staff and detail-oriented employees always makes me feel like I am family. This buisness is one that continues to improve and I know they take my complaints into consideration if I ever have any. In addition to the great customer service I always recieve, the food seems to taste better and better everytime I come in. I travel here just for the experience because it is one that will always keep me coming back.

I ordered the small oxtail dinner. I only received about four SMALL oxtails and it costs @ $15.99 (approximately $3.00 more than any other restaurant I have visited). The oxtails were VERY fatty. I’m very disappointed. The only saving grace is the cabbage was seasoned and not overcooked! I will not visit again.

The best take out Jamaican food in my area which is why I gave 5 stars for the year and a half that I dropped big dollars there.I will never visit again because despite my best efforts to avoid personal connections with certain people, they showed themselves to be a staff who doesnt separate the business from the personal. It is a narcissistic shame. The cost we pay for self respect.

Everything Ive had so far has been on point and rich in flavor! I highly recommend the spinach rice, oxtails, goat, cabbage medley, and last but actually 1st; the Salmon. This recipe is heaven sent!!! Service is usually pretty hospitable and the area is consistently neat. Thumbs Up!

King fish at its best. The staff is always friendly with an outgoing let me help you find what you like type of attitude. With a multitude of choices to choose from so if you are vegan or a meat lover theyll have something youll want to try. I am going to try everything that is on their menu thats how great and delicious the food taste. ♥️🤗♥️🤗♥️ Dont get discouraged just stop in and give them a try youll be very happy you did.

Golden Krust is a great place to go when you want a quick bite. They have a menu containing all your favorites: beef patties, ox tails, jerk chicken, rice and peas... the staff is attentive to what youre looking to order. You can dine in or take your food to go. This place is a hidden gem. You get huge portions for the price. You can even try the different items if you ask before ordering a huge plate!

Very clean restaurant. This new location is about the 4th island type of restaurant in a 5 mile area. I would say it’s pretty decent. The workers are very friendly and I’ll probably go again. I had oxtails and a side of rice and peas and veggies. Oxtails are on the smaller side.

I am eating the Curry Chicken as I am typing... food is really good. Stumbled upon this place while dropping off an Uber pick up.It’s really Yummy!
