I called to place my order. After someone answering the phone while I was placing my order, someone else got on the line and I had to repeat myself again. Anyways, placed my order

Both my wife and I got food poisoning from the food. It hit us about and hour after we ate it. Not something you wanna go threw its awful.

My favourite place to order from. Its delicious. The wonton soup is good. And fried wonton too. The chicken balls and the egg rolls are amazing too. Excellent customer service

They never answer there phone so dont try calling.

Always enjoy my food from Golden Gate. Staff is always super friendly with me, I don’t know why some of you are experiencing poor service. Best chicken fried rice and general Taos chicken I have probably ever had. Thank you all so much!

I have eaten at a lot of authentic chinese food restaurants . Food was delicious here on time friendly and polite food is 100 percent authentic chinese food I have to say shi niTo the cooks and all the staff 5 golden stars for the Golden gate restaurant

We will always keep returning. Ive been going for almost 20 years. Apart from some in house changes, the food has not. Its just perfect!

Got ripped off, handed two peices of toast with unbreaded chicken in middle and some rice on side for 15$ turkey club. Asked there must be a mistake got told thats what they serve. Told by manager to go elsewhere if i dont like it

My boys left food on their plate and they charged me an extra 3.00. They have no sign up saying waste food pay extra. Their food was good , not the best I ever had ! Staff quite polite till I argued about the extra charge. I would have payed it if there was a sign or we were told about it when we sat down. I payed it but not very happy about it. So left no tip ! If I had the cash, I wouldn’t have payed it !

Didnt even go in. Called to see if they were open because the open sign wasnt on the woman who answered say , "yes its open, thats why I answered the phone". Bye.

Cheap but the food did not taste fresh. Will probably not order from here again.

Expensive, everything battered and deep fried, place had a damp smell and was hot, one of the customers had the gravy ladle up to his face smelling it and now i have a headache from the msg?

*Went for the buffet* The service was great, the waitress was very kind but the food just really wasnt that good, besides the amazing chicken balls the rest of the dishes had meat that was quite over cooked and just didnt taste great. Will probably give them a second chance, but would never go back to the buffet.

Good food in a small hometown friendly atmosphere. Less variety than some other places, but very flavourful nonetheless.

Horrible experinece. I was a regular customer but after today ill never go there again unless the guy is working (Kevinwas served at counter by a lady with attitude. When taking my order she was very snobby i asked to add something to my order, she presided to rip the reciept with anger. Started to write my order again at this point i canceled my order and said id go somewhere else. Told her she should not act like that infront of a customer. Said i know you may be having a bad day but you do not bring that onto your customer. Smh what a shame; i really liked this place..I beleive she goes by Winny. What a shame.. :( very disappointed.

Never had a bad experience. Food is always good. Lady that works the cash is always very nice and polite and my daughter absolutely loves the place.

The staff was really nice but the food was extremely basic. I think a lot of it was sitting around for a while and there were almost no healthy options. Also, very little vegetarian choices. If you want deep fried options, there are a lot. Again, the staff were really nice!

A typical small town Chinese-Canadian food restaurant. The food quality was good, and there was a decent selection for the buffet. The price was fair. The staff are very pleasant and attentive. A decent experience overall

Their eat in all you can eat is great. However, we tried calling in a take out order and was hung up on 3 times. They obviously dont want our business - we went elsewhere.

Poor service, temperature inside restaurant was very hot (no air conditioning), not a lot of choice in the buffet, gravies were dry and most food containers were almost empty (it was 3 hours before closure). Food had no taste. Outdated style & decoration. Worst Chinese buffet we went :(

HORRIBLE!!!Waited 2 HOURS for our foodonly to find out upon it finally arriving that they do not have debit at the door for payment. Their only suggestion was their delivery driver drive someone to a store somewhere...are you serious!?! NEVER in my life have i even heard of such ridiculousness. Maybe mention the payment options to customers when they order so no more of us have to waste 2 hours with hungry kids for absolutely nothing, not even an apology. Unreal lol.

Absolutely disgusting 🤢 I was so disappointed because their buffet used to be great. The place was filthy. My table cloth was stained and hairy!! The rice was kept in a dilapidated crock pot. Not returning.

All you can eat buffet with decent egg rolls and a good selection of main dishes. Got there late, so maybe the deserts were all taken. Everything was warm, fresh and tastey. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Great service and fair price.

Its as good as a brockville chinese buffet can get and for the price you oay there is no need to complain, service was fast and friendly and food was fresh

There wasnt much selection. They did not fill the empty trays. Gravy and sauces were dried out. Not very hot!

I expected more from reading the other reviews... So either my expectations are for big towns only, it was an off day or?...I will admit that the food tasted ok.Chicken with veggies was the worst with a lumpy, congealed sauce that when washed off in my water tasted ok."Special chow mein " sans "mein" ( noodles). However, the sautéed mung bean sprout substitute did taste good.Beef fried rice was ok.We were the only people in the place and yet it was hard to get any service.Wont be back.

Our business is right across the street and we eat and take out frequently from the Golden Gate. They have consistently been preparing and feeding us delicious food for many years. Highly recommend.

Great food, amazing service and clean bathrooms. You might not like the smell when you first enter the restaruant but then its all good, you get used to it!
