Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant in El Centro

With three very picky boys who rarely like anything this place was very good. They left full and happy. We would definitely recommend Golden Dragon for good food and friendly staff.

Fix the online times of being opened and closed. FIX PHONE SYSTEM OR ANSWER. Food is the best when they answer and tell us what times they’re opened here I go driving to see.. . So nonprofessional.

This restaurant needs to update their website hours & days of operation. Ive called their phone on Sunday and Monday to order food to go but they never answer the phone and it goes to voicemail. Their site says open 7 days a week. On Sunday I decided to drive to the restaurant after calling their phone for an hour. When I arrived the restaurant was closed and they had two small paper notes taped to wall to be kind to their waitresses. Hmm, customers are probably upset cause they dont answer their phones!Golden Dragon, please update your website and if you close on Sunday and Monday then post it. Also, your restaurant phone message should also be updated to say in the recording if the restaurant is closed instead of just letting it ring to eventually go into voicemail. I know you wont update anything because its the imperial valley and the system is corrupt all the way around from doctors, medical offices, stores and restaurants. No wonder valley folks prefer to go to mexicali.

This place has a bad phone system and they rarely answer the phone. It must be they cant keep up with demand. Be aware that when you call they will not answer and if the call goes through it will send you to a voice mail. This goes on forever. Thats really too bad.

Warning**Don’t go here, the food is not freshly done the same day. The rice is hard, tastes re-heated and hard. The chicken is chewy and disgusting. You are better off buying frozen food! Expensive and won’t return your money no matter what! Negative Stars for this place!!

Found Small live cockroach in cardboard tray they provide when ordering won ton soup bought food several times everything was good until now

Food was adequate, they give you tons of it. I had the general Tso chicken it was a little too sweet. The chop suey had a lot of onion, not a lot of sauce. The fried rice was good. Prices are cheap.

This place has been in business for over 20 years and just gets better with age. I ordered the combination for 2 and had forgotten how great their pork fried rice was. The waiter was a young man who couldnt have been nicer if he tired. He was very attentive and kept asking us if we needed anything else. Theres plenty of parking outside and the place is clean. But its the food that keeps you coming back. Do yourself a favor and when your in Calexico, California try out the Golden Dragon. You wont be sorry. They also have plenty of seating inside to accommodate large size families. Great just plain great Chinese food. The food is reasonably priced.

They have posted menus that are outdated. you order then they charge extra because menu has changed

Not my cup of tea, pretty rude people not everyone, but there are some, but I think they deal with a lot of rude people throughout the day. So I can see y they are in there toes kind of rude. But it’s quickly accessible of after or before Mexico in Calexico, Ca so convenient lunch specials are good to and decor is ok. But as for me I would skip.

Went there and Ordered to go:1). Won Ton Soup (NO PORK)Got home it was loaded with PORK (BAD)2). Chicken Chow MeinGot home, only noodles. A couple bits of Chicken, no Vegetables (BAD)3). Vegetable Egg Roll. Greasy, no taste(BAD).There were only 2 tables occupied.I understand why.....

Good service, but Im sorry to say I did not like the food . The order was not heated well as if it was standing there for quite a while. Golden dragon you are my least place to go out and eat, at least not chinise food 😟😖🙊👎
