Your food is bad it almost made me throw up 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 you put stuff together and call it a meal nobody likes this slop but my dad because hi bought a wing meal and he bought some side wings

Yall, I Dont even know what these people are doing to their egg rolls. They taste like theyre stuffed with a 95% old cabbage and 5% halfway processed meat by-product blend. Truly, Im shocked. Because its really hard to do egg rolls this wrong.The rest of our food was alright and Im sure the people who run this place are nice enough. In fact their rice was actually pretty good, But lord help you, youd be better off buying frozen egg rolls to go with your meal. I am the last person to waste food, so I ate the thing anyway. And my mouth asked me why I was punishing it.

By far the worst in quality and in taste Chinese food. The lady behind the counter was friendly, but I literally threw away both meals- Generals Chicken and Sweet and sour chicken. The generals chicken tasted like old stale chicken with ketchup and red pepper flakes put on it, far from what it should be. The sweet and sour chicken was described as white meat chicken pieces in a sweet and sour sauce with pineapple pieces in it. Again the chicken was old or something, tasting like it was cooked a couple days ago and warmed up today ( just my guess). The sauce was acceptable at best and there were zero pineapple pieces. I would recommend you DO NOT EAT HERE!

Good food. The egg rolls were yummy. The only thing that would have made the meal better is if the hot tea was served in real cups instead of Styrofoam to go cups.

People please do not listen to these bad reviews because this place is definitely amazing! Most of those reviews were before the place got new management, put the review on the wrong restaurant, or complaining because its not like other Chinese restaurants that give you tons of bad food for 5 bucks. The food and how much they give you is definitely worth the price and they actually cook their rice COMPLETELY unlike other places Ive been to. This is an overall fanatic place that you should try when you get the chance. Ps if you want the chicken, beef, etc... and broccoli in a brown sauce, you have to ask the waiter for it in a brown sauce, Miriam!

Hands down the best Chinese restaurant Ive ever eaten at. They had an amazing waiter and delicious food. I will be going back with some of my friends to see how much they will like it!

Ordered Chicken and Broccoli came with a white sauce and white rice only. Worse food i ever had. I have been ordering same thing for years this the only place that do not add soy sauce to the Chicken and Broccoli. Tasteless white gravy like sauce. First time and my last time ordering, very dissatisfied.

Absolutely terrible food. My husband ordered general Tso chicken. Was very hard and dry and the sauce didn’t even taste like general Tso’s. I ordered shrimp and broccoli and it came with just a white sauce. No brown sauce like everyone else. Egg rolls were bare able but soggy. Food was definitely not worth $30. Highly disappointed!

Why is the sesame chicken sweet? Is that zeppole or a donut dough theyre using? No flavor, just sweet and bland bland bland. Its weird honestly. Way overpriced. 2 stars because its hot and it looks like chicken but thats as high as Ill go.

Amazing food and service every time we go, by far our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area!

People are nice and food is pretty good but its definitely not your usual American Chinese food. Almost everything we have had from here seems very sweet. Lo mein is great! Dont get an egg roll. Wouldnt take order over phone because people not showing up, I dont mind this because they are extra fast when you get there never waiting more than 5 minutes for 2 orders.

It was ok, but the rice could have been cooked a little longer. But lady at the front was nice.

The food is always amazing, fresh, on time and served with care, friendly and professional staff. The owners wife is amazing. She takes her time to get our order correct.

We ordered take out and the portions were huge, the service was friendly, the prices are reasonable, and we also got a surprise egg drop soup with our order. The flavors were good (not over salted like other places). I recommend asking for the homemade Chinese mustard.

I thought the food was very good. I have not eaten there since the mid 1980s when I was a teenager. I ordered a large assortment and took it home for a Friday movie night. We were all pleased. I will be back again.

Fried rice tasted like dog food smells. The eggrolls were really bad too! It was so bad that we couldnt bring ourselves to keep eating it. Was slapped in the face by the musty smell when we walked in the door. The only good thing about this place was the service...she was very sweet and the only reason it got 2 stars out of me. My boyfriend agrees on all points above. I just wish the food was better.

Use to be a great place to eat. Went in and no one wearing masks. Portions are smaller and all contents are on the same plate. Family members came in and walked behind the desk and into the kitchen not washing their handsNever will go back again. Better options out there.

The staff were not wearing masks. I could not beleive it. My food had no flavor. I ordered Moo goo gai pan. It was like everything was boiled and put on my plate with no flavor. I was so disappointed. I will not be going back.

I am so very happy to finally find quality food with impeccable taste! The beef is so tender, I normally dont eat it and just eat the rice and veggies but tried it and found it delicious. Will surely come back again very soon! Thank you!

The people that own this restaurant are super friendly. The food is excellent. They are open for lunch and dinner. They do take-out and inside dining. Ibhave done both. You cant go wrong

We have been going to the Golden Dragon for over 30 years. It has always been our favorite Chinese Restaurant. We were a little worried when we heard it was under new ownership but we went to try it out today. It was absolutely wonderful. The staff was as friendly as could be and the food was delicious. The egg rolls and Kung Po Chicken are amazing. Everyone in our family loved their meals. So happy it is every bit as good as it was. In addition, the place was very clean. We will definitely be back soon!

Stopped in for lunch. Had the sesame chicken with egg roll. Everything was hot an tasty. Wife had moo goo gai pan. Said it was perfect. Prices were very reasonable, service prompt. Total for two was $15.08 without tip. Clean restroom. No complaints. Will be back.

Egg rolls were 99%cabbage,dry and bland. Lemon chicken was dry and hard to chew. Hot and sour soup was a poor excuse for aoup. Tasted like a block of spicey salt. No traditional ingrediants in the soup. Lacked scallions, tofu and water chestnuts. Crispy noodles to eat with the soup soup were cooked in old oil and it tasted as so. New management has ruined my favorite niche chineese reaturant. Will never go back.

The new owners have taken it to a new level. Got the sesame chicken( without the seedsand it was amazing. Lightly crispy but tender and the sauce was perfect. Good fried rice too. My husband had the shrimp chow mein and said it was delicious as well. The egg roll was the best I have had. If you have not been since the new owners took over you really should.

Since moving to N.C. we have been trying to find a good Chinese restaurant in the area...our search is over! First time trying them today with a takeout order...friendly help on the phone and at pick up made it great, but the food was amazing. Best Sesame Chicken ever per my wife and the Kung Pao Chicken was equally as good.They had a sign outside that said they were under new management, definitely doing something right...we will be back and highly recommend them!

Im not in Kannapolis often but when I am i like to stop here so I did tonight, surprised to see that the usual people were not there hmmm seems like new owners. Well I ordered me and my family food and another surprise the food was awful! What happened to the taste if you going to take over a good restaurant you must keep it the same or better im never going back.

This was the the nastest food I have ever had we order chicken and broccoli it came in a white sauce. I called they said you have to ask for brown sauce. FIST AND LAST TIME EATING FROM THERE WE THREW IT AWAY.

Ventured out last night to try something new; we were in for a rude awakening. My husband didnt see the "Under New Management " Sign draped over the roof until the next day and we paid the ultimate price.The food was unrecognizable and the taste was atrocious. The presentation was the worse Id ever seen and there were no fortune cookies in the whole scenario. It was dark and gloomy on the inside which was a dead giveaway.With that being this is a place We will never Return to!

Appears the ownership has changed and the cooks too. Food was bland at best. Sad day since we regularly enjoyed going there to eat in the past. Expect it will be quite a while before we would consider going back.

N O T A N Y M O R E!!! My go-to place for Chinese in the area. Recently changed ownership. We have been going there since my kids where babies, they are now in their 30s. Had general tsos chicken as usual. Couldnt find any chicken, all breading. I wont waste my time or my money going back. I rated 1 * cuz it wouldnt let me put ZERO.

My family has enjoyed the food at this restaurant for 20+ years. They closed to remodel, but nothing inside changed but the service and food. Excited to see the renovations and the excellent freshly prepared food we walked in to see a big woman at the cash register wearing a dirty Farmers Day shirt. What????!!!Our servers said the food was different now. What an understatement. Scallion chicken was gummy meat covered in simple syrup.. egg rolls are cabbage rolls. Poor little Charlie bucket would like them. Oh put watery duck sauce on it and it’s even worse. I quietly told the lady I paid the food was not very good and I left our sweet server a good tip. The new owners made fun of us as we left. Good for them!

I literally just left from paying $13 for a beef and broccoli with An add on Of shrimp. only to get home and see that I have Literally 4 shrimp mixed into my food. I callback to the establishment. I told the lady who answered the phone my concern and she immediately said I told you I don’t know how many shrimp you get when you add on. however I paid $4 extra dollars for shrimp so that means I paid a dollar per shrimp. When the manager got on the phone he was hostile babbling on speaking Chinese. He was very rude and unprofessional and on top of that my food was disgusting. Nothing as resolved at all

Been going here for years and absolutely love the food. Good portions, great prices, and really good tasting food. Best Chinese restaurant around! The owners are so sweet and friendly!

My Fiancé and I ordered here for the first time. We spent $25 on beef and broccoli and shrimp foo young and 2 egg rolls...which is way too much for the portions given. The beef and broccoli was horrible ; no taste ; the sauce was watery. They package the food in small containers. Everything was nasty. The shrimp foo young had small pink shrimp in it. We did not eat any of the food and they refused to give us our money back claiming they can’t “sell” it to anyone. Which is a red flag because they shouldn’t attempt to resell returned food. My advice is to check your food before paying.

My regular chinese place was closed for vacation so I tried the Golden Dragon. The atmosphere inside was simple but nice and the service was good, but I was soooooo disappointed with the food. The portions are extremely small and very plain and untasteful. A scoop of plain off white rice, a skinny chicken flat, the eggroll was very chewy and not crisp and the 8 small pieces of sweet and sour chicken that claimed to be seasame chicken with a little drizzle of seasame sauce was a nice flavor but couldnt find enough to coat the chicken. I can normally eat off my regular spot for a couple of meals. I will not be back or recommend this to anyone.

This was recommended by a friend. Im surprise she told me about it knowing how picky I am. Atmosphere & customer service can set the mood even when the food taste is not there. I have no reason or expectations to return to this venue... Sorry Charlie 😏

Worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. Couldnt chew through egg roll, chicken was as white as paper, beef was like leather, broccoli soggy and minimal, child size portion of rice for large order. It was so bad we just threw it away.

Wanted Chinese. Saw the high rating for this restaurant so went out of my way to get there. Went to counter to place a carry out order and attempted to order crab rangoons. They didnt have them??? Huh??? This IS a Chinese restaurant right!?! Had some cream cheese frozen wonton thing to offer. Ummmm.... Yeah. But NOO!!!! Thanks anyway. Went somewhere else that made Crab Rangoons. First time ever Id been in a Chinese restaurant that didnt serve them.

Ordered sesame chicken combo, fried wings, and beef lomein. The food tasted just OK. The wings were small compared to other Chinese restaurants. The portions were small as well, especially the fried rice. There was one scoop of fried rice which filled up one small section of a 3 section styrofoam box. Other restaurants usually fill almost the entire box with rice. The prices were a bit higher than other Chinese restaurants, and the portions were smaller.

I love the scallion chicken, its not soggy at all and its delicious. Love the fried rice too. My mom likes their egg rolls and loved the beef with broccoli! Well be back weekly.

This was definitely an unexpected gem. Its appearance from the outside is most certainly deceiving. I have passed this place countless times and was almost amused by the thought of actually going in. The inside matches the outside. It seemed very clean but dated. Decor was minimal and there is no music blaring in the background.The menu contains all the staples of Chinese food you see at almost any Chinese restaurant. The biggest difference is that almost all if not all of the food is homemade. None of this stuff looked like it was coming a refrigerated truck from a giant food distributor. The quality really shows. The egg rolls were some of the best Ive had outside of more well known food areas. Certainly the best in Concord/Kannapolis. Everything we had that had been fried made it evident they were using very clean oil and cooking things for proper amounts of time. The egg rolls like everything else was crisp and perfectly golden. There was absolutely no discoloration or burned food particles from the fryer. All of the veggies and produce were brightly colored and fresh. I had the sesame chicken and it was fantastic. My wife tried egg foo young for the first time. Though it wasnt necessarily her thing we could tell the quality was on par with everything else we had. The fried rice was obviously made scratch as it was not your typical bright yellow rice with mixed veggies. It was colored by the soy sauce used in it instead. The prices were very reasonable, and the service was fantastic. Everyone was super friendly.I cannot say enough good. If youre in the area and are looking for Chinese head over. You wont be disappointed.

We were skeptical to try this place with the mixed reviews but we were so pleasantly blown away with the great service and amazing food! Everything was fresh, I had hot and sour soup and sa sha chicken, my husband had kung po and everything was incredible. The portions were a bit small but I still left feeling full and very satisfied. The front lady was so welcoming and kind. We will be back!!!

This is the worst Chinese food Ive had around here. Not only is it over priced but it has no flavor. The vegetables were nasty and hard. The meat dishes had hardly any meat. A total waste of money

This is my absolute favorite Chinese place! Their sesame chicken is breaded and crunchy and sweet and just perfect! We make special trips out to Kannapolis just to eat here! Its definitely worth a visit!!!

I purchased Egg Foo Yung with shrimp. It was terrible, so I called back and spoke with the same Asian lady that had the audacity to call and see if I was still coming to pick up the food. She claims that the dish was $10.00 with tax, so I would need to bring the food back if I want a refund. I get up there with the food and didnt get anything back, but six dollars. They were rude and ignorant. If you notice, the parking lot never has anybody there. The prices are too high ; the service is prejudice. Their scores are low as well.

I only gave this place a 1 star rating because the food is not good, I ordered a seafood mix (shrimp, scallions, and crab meat with veggies and fried rice)...when I got the food my rice was steamed white rice (not fried riceand my food was drowning in some kind of white broth and smelled super fishy. My boyfriend ordered a beef and veggie plate with also fried rice and he got steamed white rice as well and his food was also in a weird bland tasting broth. Employees are super friendly and super nice but I wouldnt eat there again even if I got my food for free.

Service was good. Food was ok, not what i expected. The chicken and broccoli was in a white gravy mix. While it did not taste bad, i wanted regular chicken and broccoli. The egg roll contained shrimp, which i didnt know till it was too late and i hate seafood flavors.

Ive only eaten here twice and both times the food has been excellent! Im surprised to see that no one else has written a review concerning this place. The food is fresh and tasty and the service wonderful. Kannapolis is lucky to have this little restaurant gem.
