This hit the spot after a long drive and the employees were very kind!

Ordered 3 meals2 was with fries other with mashed potatoes got home all 3 had fries

Clean with friendly, very helpful employees. Restrooms were clean as well. Food was good drinks were cold and very little wait time.Will stop again Im sure

Not very clean, confused with the orders, gravy was to watery.

The gravy was runny milk not gravy very disappointed the chicken was not done and very greasy

I try not to give to many bad reviews but this was the worse chicken place ive ever eaten at and service was horrible. Chicken sandwich was small and dried out. Said 20% bigger. Id hate to see the size before. Was about the size of 2 strips. Side were cold and tasted like they were pretty old.

When the main man is present, the place is run like it should be, however when management is gone, the service is non existence!

Ordered a 6 piece tinder meal and a 4 piece tinder meal only got 7 tinders the gravy was water just horrible

The order was incorrect. My chicken breast was fried and it was tough. The young man was very nice

Great place to eat at.the chicken was fresh and the staff was friendly I prefer going during the nighr the night manager is lot nicer than the morning shift one they need to fire her

Walked in and the resteraunt was filled with grease smoke, with a few windows open and a fan half heartedly pointed at a window in an attempt to fix the issue. Half the menu was down due to a lack of bread without any note or signage. Clean restrooms though.

The food didnt taste like it normally does and honestly wasnt very good. It didnt help matters much that its now $17 for a 7pc tender meal. I think my family and I will hold off on going back for a while. The staff was very friendly however so I do give them 5 stars.

Chicken, chicken strips and fish,,,, delicious wish we had one in Garden City, ks. The chicken is moist and tastes like chicken. They do not use the same fryer for the chicken and the fish. The bread is off the chain. The service is great the employees are friendly knowledgeable and know the price with tax on all of the items.We stopped in Childress,TXThis is the place we will always stop at on our way to the Fort Worth and Dallas area.Only request is that you would open at 10am so we can have a lunch on the road.

Like everywhere they were short staffed. But the food was very very good and worth waiting. Clean inside. Its connected to a gas station. Easy access off freeway.

Closed at 3pm with loads of food just sitting out getting cold. Sign on the door was brilliantly placed behind the letters. Never seen anything so ridiculous at this place before

I stopped going to this restaurant years ago because of horrible customer service. I gave it a shot about a month ago and the customer service was really fantastic. However, today I went to get food and it was like I was negotiating a hostile takeover. They couldnt "give [me] # of XYZ but could do # of XYZ" on everything. I was told the following: I could only buy 4 tenders if i wanted, they didnt have anymore. I was told I could only get the 10 pc and mixed (roasted and fried, dark meat onlybecause there wasnt enough of any of the chicken. I couldnt get 12 rolls but could get 6.It was beyond frustrating, I finally I ordered the 10 pc dark mixed tp get to the window and find out the roasted was all dried up. They said they were too short staffed to cook anything else.🙄 Then why was the restaurant open? And chicken tenders only have to be dropped in the fryer so why werent they?I canceled my order. Im almost positive that was what they wanted. The employee had no cares to give.The one thing that has been fairly consistent at this place is inconsistency. Bad service coming in a close second. Its sad because there arent many places to order food in this small town and now I have one less.Im giving two stars because Ive had issues the majority of the time, but not that one time.

What a dump. The whole place is full with grease smoke from the fryer I would guess. Eyes were burning while trying to order. Charged me extra to get dip for my chicken strips. Frys were cold. Place was dirty and old.

Ordered fish. It took forever. What really upaet me was the fact that the lady waiting on me was bad mouthing the cook to me and blaming her for everything. The lady threw it out the window at me almost 30 minutes later. I still told her thank you and she slammed the window in my face without a mumbling word. I even text the experience line and someone said they would be responding and I still havent heard from anyone.

Bathroom was spotless.Employees were kind and energetic. I had the roasted chicken with okra .The best Chicken Ive had. Except for Moms of course.

The employees definitely make the fact that they dont want to work here your problem.I ordered through drive-thru. Passed 60 miles of other restaurants to get to Golden Golden Chick just to be sure bit disappointed.Good quality was still good, but since we were missing sauces and items to enjoy our food how we normally would, it wasnt the best.We were rushed at the ordering area, even though there was no one else in line the entire time we were there in addition to us informing them that we needed a minute to order. We didnt get to choose sides and sauces. We were told some menu items werent there just because they didnt feel like making it, not sure to low inventory. We ordered sauces and didnt receive them. When I mentioned that we didnt have them, I was told it would be an additional charge. This is information that would have been appreciated before we ordered.I have respect for the employees because I have worked fast food, but my family and I did not force you to take this job. Please don’t take it out on us. Perhaps Golden Chick can make changes to improve the quality of work life for employees. There needs to be a change.

Came here 1 week ago enjoyed the food n service. I returned 1 week later order kids meal 2pc tender with okra cooked hard. Well 1 okra was already sitting under the light n i dont eat okra thats softly cooked either. But was told cannot have my order of okra cooked hard by Barbara so i requested a refund n left everything sitting on the corner. Long as Ive going to any Golden Chick never gotten told that i can not have my okra cooked hard. So best believe i wont ever return here.

I tried to order 5 boxes of chicken. The 10 piece. They told me they didn’t cook that much chicken at once. So I went and got burgers. Won’t be back.

Every other restaurant was too busy so we stopped here. Food was good, service was good.

Food was good but the service was terrible. The woman behind the counter yelled at my blind mother in law for not being able to see the menu then started yelling at my father in law saying he never ordered the food that he had the receipt for. It was a mess and will never go back.

We stopped here on our way back home, we decided to dine in to let our kiddos stretch their legs. Once we began eating a elderly woman came in...she was hard of hearing and maybe needed alittle help caring her food and maybe getting her drink... The employees here did absolutely nothing to help her, instead they got attitude and frustrated. My husband and I helped her carry her food, get to a seat, and filled her drink. We even purchase another thigh for her because the ones given were very small. Common courtesy goes a long way. To the white women at the cash register who attended her and black woman who filled her order SHAME ON YOU BOTH! For the young black gentleman thank you for extending your courtesy. You were very helpful, and respectful. If we ever come back to this location it will be solely because of you! Thank you for making us feel welcome.

88 degrees in dining room, the tenders were tiny, the ice on the coke machine had a terrible taste, when we poured out the drinks at home the bottom of our sink was griity.

We ordered combos with Mac n cheese and Cole slaw.....they did not put forks, spoons, napkins or salt and pepper with the order.....tried to call them and they would not even answer the phone!!! Common sense people!!! Please!!!!

I had a 3 piece chicken, the meal was good. The employees were pleasant and service was fast. Ill be back

The service here was awful. We went in 30 minutes before closing and was informed in a rather rude manner that they only had strips. That was fine since we were traveling and rather hungry. After that we just stood there and all three workers continued to do what appeared to be a closing routine. We tried to get their attention to let them know we would order. We were ignored. Not sure if it was because it was 8 of us or because we were African-American. They had no problem continuing to help people in the drive-thru. Its probably best because we left and found much better service elsewhere.

Not the experience I hoped for. Not stopping there again. Staff not friendly, ordered 2 piece chicken dinner didnt ask what 2 pieces I would like, had to order leg separate because I didnt want a thigh. Gravy on potatoes was a teaspoonful. Oakra was the only thing good out of the whole experience.

After a long drive from Louisiana, the Golden Chick was open long enough for my wife and I to enjoy the catfish and chicken sandwich meals. Super tasty. Big thumbs up! 👍

The breading/skin of the chicken seemed over cooked/too hard. The fries were ok and the pink lemonade was too sweet for my taste however the chicken tenders were wonderful and the gravy was great. The gravys consistency was wonderful and so was the seasoning.

We usually stop here for a quick lunch before grocery shopping. The menu has a good choice for chicken, fish, and now shrimp. We like to dine in, but they also offer drive thru and pick up.

We regularly takes trips that bring us through this town and every time we have stopped here weve recieved top notch service. The employees are very polite and ensure that each meal is fresh and nothing is missing OR sometimes they add extra chicken for free! The food is delicious and has that hot from the fryer crisp. My family definitely appreciates being fed a home cooked meal while on the road, thank you!

We never actually got the chance to taste the food due to poor customer service. We Stopped for a quick bite while traveling through. Lady taking my husbands order was very rude with him. He ordered a chicken sandwich and they did not have the bread to make the sandwich. He asked if they could use a different kind of bread and she rudely replies "we dont make substitution for nobody!"

We asked for the baked chicken but the young lady (who was very nicewas rudely advised by her co-worker that they “only have 3 legs!” So we weren’t offered any substitution or asked if that would be okay. We left.

After driving for over 11 hrs we stopped and waited over 18 minutes. Got our order and drove down the rode 2 m I less and had to turn around as we had someones elses order. Got back and waited in line another 8 minutes before we had to go inside. Then they didnt have okra for our order. Asked for m ok money back and walked out.

Golden chick had the best chicken I’ve had in a while, I can’t wait to have more back in Amarillo Texas. The rolls have to have a little butter baked in the inside. Overall 1,000,000 out of 10

Wait time would be fine if the chicken was hot. I waited in line probably 10 mins. In the drive through. When I get to the window. The lady is either cold and trying to hurry to close the window or busy socializing with other staff as there were no other customers. I had to ask for my drink when she handed me my food. There were no napkins or silverware. When I get home the chicken and gravy are cold, not even warm. So after I reheated chicken and gravy it was ok. The roll was cold and a little crunchy. The drink had a weird flavor. The coleslaw was good. In 2 years that was my 3rd time... same experience every time. At least the chicken was done and not pink.

I went there after work at about somewhere between 1130 and 12 this afternoon and pulled up. I got 4 chicken strips with gravy and a large sweet tea and when he pulled up to the window she took my money gave me my food but said they didnt have any sugar for the tea and offered me something else to drink. well I dont drink anything else when I go there. I always drink the sweet tea so she said just come back later and get it. I refuse to go back. Even for the tea. Ridiculous.

Picked this up during our six hour drive from McKinney to Amarillo. Its was late and they had just closed, but still sold us some chicken and rolls. Despite it being closing time and the chicken being on its way to the trash, it was surprisingly fresh. Thank yall so much. My babies were super hungry.

What was supposed to be a short chicken fixin’ with a friend quickly turned into a horror story more graphic than an HBO drama. We had to wait over 30 minutes to be served, only to be told that they were completely out of the thing we wanted. The chicken was hot, but soaked in enough grease to deep fry an infant giraffe. This experience actually ruined our night.

Nasty challenge served then had to wait another 25 to 30 minutes for fresh chicken. Dern yall change your grease you cook with its treating you the taste. Im not from there and yall were recommended and made at year customer who told me about yall look like he was fibulating. :(

My order was made fresh, and correct. The young Lady working drive thru is very professional, she was patient, she was very sweet. To the owner of this location, Please recognize this young Lady for her professional Ethics. Thank you, keep up the great work Team.

Ive been here multiple times and without fail they always find a way to disappoint me from long wait times at the drive through, bad staff attitude, and generally just piss poor service. This last time I had ordered 2 of the Big and Golden chicken sandwiches, I paid and waited at the window for 15 minutes. Was then told to pull up front and theyd bring out my order. Waited another 5 minutes until a member of the staff came out with my refund and told me they couldnt make my order. Ive worked in restaurants/kitchens for over two years and I have NEVER made a customer waste 20 mins of their time to then tell them that I couldnt serve them. This store needs some help and bad.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. First, we drive up and there are 7 people, including some individuals wearing golden chick employee shirts, just standing in front of the building. Just strange. Then we sit in line for 30 minutes and there is a man who just walked up in the drive through to order his food. Again, just strange. THEN, we finally get to order. We ask for the heavily advertised chicken sandwich and they say they don’t have the patties to make it. Ok. Then we ask for chicken tenders and they say they don’t have those either because they had been selling 16 and 24 piece tenders all day and they don’t have any thawed out. They could have, at the very least, told us what they did or did not have before we began to order. Or, put a sign out that said what they had available. A restaurant in a highly traversed area should be better managed and prepared to serve their customers.

Staff is either lazy, incompetent, or both.Went through the drive through at 6:30 PM and asked for 2 family size dirty rice and a half dozen rolls. I was told that they didnt have enough dirty rice for 2 family size containers or enough rolls or they would be short rolls for the meals.This is unacceptable. Youre open until 10 PM! If the staff doesnt know how to prepare the food you serve on the greater than even chance youll run out, why are they even employed there? Are all menu items prepared before opening and no longer served once supplies run out? This is ridiculous.

This place is hit or miss. Some days the food is good and fresh, while other days its not. Ive been there multiple times where my chicken was still pink...The last time I went, I went through the drive thru and waited over 15 minutes at the order menu. There was one car in front of me at the window and one car parked out front. Nobody acknowledged me over the speaker so I ended up leaving. Ive also had an employee straight up tell my wife he doesnt like her, which is not cool...Not my favorite place in town.
