2 bars in one, if one side isnt your flavor try the other. good staff, pool, darts, fooseball and shuffleboard. enough tvs and u can ask for the remote. has a shake-a-day on both

Nice atmosphere, but unless youre drinking, dont expect much help from the bartenders.

Great bartender the last couple times Ive been. She recommended a wheat beer that was delicious. Food was good and crowd is friendly. We always have an awesome time.

Gold bar is a great downtown location to indulge in a cool refreshing spirit. I know form experience the staff does a great job and takes care of their customers. Their remodel looks great and the service is wonderful. It’s also one of the few places left to play pool. I recommend Gold and Western. Cheers

Used to always prefer this bar. Last night I was asked to leave because I was "making a couple people uncomfortable". The funny thing is I had been there for about 4 minutes, bought a drink and said absolutely nothing to anyone. I was just watching a pool game. Sad.

Best place to have work meetings in the afternoon. The bartender with a spine, always takes care of us.

I will support this business all I can with how amazing their staff has been lately and I love everything theyve done to be themselves! Cannot support a business that discriminates againist individuals without a just cause.As a Montana native (7 generationsI have always enjoyed the gold bar, but after today I will not be returning. Today i witnessed the bartender discriminate against a group of people dressed up. These people were characters in a murder mystery that the oddfellow inn was hosting. These people were asked to leave without reason or question. When my party of 8 asked the bartender why the people were kicked out, he then said it was his call and if we did not agree with it we could also leave… which we did.Will not return until the gold bar acknowledges this fault and provides training in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Nice place. The burgers are great, I think its because they actually season their meat. I would like a cheese option outside of American. Otherwise, the potatoes are delicious as well as the sauce! Bar tenders are well seasoned professionals.

Except for the bartender getting a little overwhelmed and getting a few drinks wrong, he was awesome!! He even took a couple of pictures for us!! Nice guy. 3/19/2022

Nice atmosphere. Great new updates. Horrible service. Really, really bad. The young bartender ignored us while she chatted with friends. We finally walked out and went to Millers Crossing where we were acknowledged and served promptly. Too bad this is how I had write this review. Unfortunately no better than two stars based upon service.

A wonderful, friendly, and clean environment. Anson was a particularly good and personable bartender who helped make the experience great! It is definitely worth stopping in!

I feel welcome here, and one of the main reasons is because of the bartender hatchet! He always makes me feel comfortable and he’s super funny

With all the new upgrades they have it has given this place a much needed face lift. Definitely a good bar to visit after work or on the weekends, grab your friends and go down there and enjoy good drinks, good food, pool or try your luck gambling.

I went in the other day in a bad mood and just wanting a drink, the bartender Matt was super nice and funny he brought my mood up and made me some pretty great drinks. I will be back soon especially if he is behind the bar. Great experience!

Gold/western bar is very clean, fun, and a safe place to drink. All of the bartenders are wonderful and fun to be around. Hatchet cracks jokes and makes sure everyone is laughing and having a good time, Anna is so incredibly sweet and such a joy, among all the other wonderful bartenders. Great drinks, great service, and a great time.

I love the gold and Western bar! I always receive amazing service every time I am in there! Hatchet has always been an amazing tender when I stop by after work! Every single member of that staff has treated me in such a positive and polite manner! The remodel was worth the wait! Thank you for keeping this a safe space! I am pround to call this bar my home bar!

After working for a few weeks out of town there is nothing better than coming home to a place where everyone knows your name. "Cheers!" Everyone is extremely kind and welcoming and im grateful to have this family here. Gigi, Tarin, Sara, Tony, Eric, Zach, Hatchet are all incredible humans and I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a good old fashioned small town bar with a fantastic manicure.

I had such a good time!! Gigi is so amazing. Such a sweetheart and beautiful lady. I’ve had Ana there as a bartender as well and she’s so awesome and just a bright light of a human. I highly recommend this place, super fun and great drink prices.

our service was fine. instead of our server coming to our table she yelled at us from across the bar to take our order. our first round of drinks was pretty good but the second round tasted weak like watered down lemon water. Our server ate her dinner and had drinks behind the bar while on the clock which isn’t a big deal but i’m wondering if that’s why we had mediocre service. Not great, not fun just boring and plain. Left after our second round and the probably won’t be back

Just moved here from colorado. The first weekend i was here i was invited to The Western and I have to say, i was more then impressed. I felt very welcomed. I didnt get that feeling of being an outsider. Won some money, drank some made right mixed drinks and had some hard laughs! I appreciate the hospitality. Thank you

Great place to hang out and have a drink. Gigi is awesome and makes the best green tea shots! Whenever I want to have a good relaxed night out or even just a quick drink after work this is the go to bar for sure.

This place used to be a bit sketch. Nowadays the owners work on making sure its inclusive and welcoming, a true community spot. Downtown location is ideal, with lots of parking options. Very, very impressed with the way ownership has been involved with the community-at-large, especially with hosting the Former Felons Ball and last years MT Pride events. Give years ago I avoided this place. Now I go regularly. Well done.

Very clean and friendly, positive and upbeat environment and friendly and professional service. My fiance and I went there tonight to have a couple of White Russians which were delicious and enjoyable. We also gambled there and won a little money and had a great time.

Lovely place with lovely bartenders. My personal favorite downtown joint to go to. They used to have pool, foosball, darts, and gambling machines but last night I found out they got rid of 2 of their 4 pool tables, and the foosball table but replaced them with mega-jenga and Cornhole. Drinks are moderately priced as well.

The bartenders at this place are great! Also this place has cold smoke on tap, plenty of pool tables and is just a great spot to have a few beverages. I will absolutely be back next time Im in town.

I was charged $5.83 for a bud light with clam. Then a drunk man harassed us about a sex toy shop. The bar was also freezing cold and the bathroom was disgusting. I would not advise a classy woman go to this place...
