God's Window in Tzaneen
Description
Privilege
Stunning views but unfortunately the pathways full of rubbish spoiled the experience. This place needs some serious maintenance & the pathways’ litter cleaned up. The entrance fee is reasonable but a clean environment would make this place great.
MoreVery beautiful, the journey is abit hectic but its worth about 3km to get there as walk trail, when you there the air is very fresh, cold and clean and you can take beautiful pictures...the landscape you will see is beautiful.
MoreAbsolutely stunning view. It was a little bit foggy, so you can’t look so wide.
MoreGreat place to visit but not spiritual as i thought. Be ready to incline those steps to go up to get a better view of Gods window. Is a breath taking adventure to see. No regrets, really loved it.
MoreMajestic views, however definitely not "Gods Window". There are other places in SA with far better views or even enroute to this place. So the name should change to something more reasonable. It should be maintained. Lots of strings and nonsense tied to the fence which should be prohibited. The climb to the top rainforest is a great workout. Not recommended for kids.Watch out for monkeys!
MoreThis is a lovely view, though perhaps not as spectacular as the name had led me to believe. There are excellent trails helping to disperse the crowds of visitors, but don’t expect to have a quiet, solitary encounter with nature unless you arrive very early!
MoreThis place is a must see!My God, the beauty of Gods creation. Its amazing.Make sure to be fit and healthy though because wow the walk😁 however it is soooo mind and soul feeding.Tour guides are there to show you around and assist in photo taking😊Photos dont do justice to this place, I was more amazed when I got to see it with my naked eyes.
MoreIncredible views of the Mpumalanga forests - and the walk through the terrain is definitely worth the extra bit of hike past Gods Window.Enjoy the Old Mans Beard’s and Fire Lillies 😍
MoreThis place is stunning the views is most beautiful. Everyone needs to see this beauty.
MoreWhat can we say that has not already been said . So so beautiful.
Beautiful experience..The view at the top was breathtaking.
Awesome views. make sure you know the weather is clear not to get disappointed there is cloud cover it too much mist. you won’t belief you so high up that tall trees at the bottom look tiny
MoreAmazing views! Its such a sight to be able to see so far into the distance as well as notice other towns. They say as it gets darker, one can even see Maputo in Mozambique, not to mention the Kruger National Park as well. This is a must see for any tourist in SA. It is a popular destination but it is such for a reason, the park security and staff are so friendly as well. Theres also a beautiful hike that is not too demanding that takes you to another beautiful outlook. Enjoy!
MoreMultiple great viewing points and a small rainforest! Great visit if you are doing the panorma route!
MoreDefinitely a place to visit when in Mpumalanga. Perfect for getting your fitness levels pumping as the hike up is strenuous but leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed.
MoreBeautiful view and unending horizon. The first view point is 5 minutes walk and the second one which expose the wider view is 15 minutes. The price is 25R per adult.
MoreI would recommend this place, best place to be in touch with mother nature and relax your mind.I would recommend going in the morning as it is a bit strainer going up hill you need to be ready for the climb.Be careful on your way there as the place is very misty, making it very difficult to see the roads. To see the best of the place go during summer or spring time
MoreLovely place I walked till top
I wanted only to exist in that moment in that view forever , a wonderful rainforest and the most breathtaking view
MoreIndeed a Gods Window. Our guide, Ray was exceptional and has a wealth of info to share.
MoreAmazing views, paths are neat n tidy
Amazing views especially on clear days. The entrance fees are affordable. It is a walk up but definitely worth it for such a captivating view. You can see mozambique on clear days. There was unfortunately alot of littering when we visited. Covid masks tied to the fence which is disappointing & discussing.
MoreThere is a short walk up a steep flight of stairs......but one you get to the top the view is breathtaking. Absolutely amazing........and if you alone up there its so silent you can hear your ears ring.
MoreWe had much fun going up and its refreshing at the top
Great view, be prepared for a long walk uphill.
The place is amazingly breathtaking
Beautiful Gods nature. Staff helpful in particular Clifford. Must be fit though to take to do the approximately 40min tour of the attractions.
MoreWhat an amazing experience. Staff and even the visitors are all happy. Just make sure you wear comfortable takkies and if you not fit like me take an energy drink for the long walk to The Window. Its a must see place 👌👌👌👌👌👌
MoreHonestly the most stunning views. Absolutely breathtaking. The forest trail is also gorgeous.
MoreLovely view and nice little walk into the forest.
Being here was so refreshing and the views are amazing
The nature experience is excellent as always. Very busy with tourists and school groups alike. Noise level from some tourists were unacceptable. Facilities not up to scratch especially with the fact that you pay an entrance fee per person to access the area.
MoreNot the best weather, but if you have a picture of how the window looks like. Then you definitely will see it through the mist.We met a few new friends 😅😂🤣
MoreThe views are magnificent, I understand how the name came about. As far as the eye can see the view does not end. A nice little walking trail trough a rain forest to even more view, a have to see.
MoreR25 entrance fee. Friendly staff. Steep walk to the top but the beautiful views make it worthwhile! Check your weather - sunshine days are best!
MoreI enjoyed the place. The view at the top is breathtaking. The trip to the top is long and tiring but once you get to there you wont regret yourself it. It is worth it
MoreAlways been an amazing experience coming here, can’t leave Mpumalanga without coming here. It may feel like a long walk uphill for some so make sure you are in the most comfortable clothing and most importantly shoes. A lot of stairs and climbing of rocks especially if you want to get the best view.
MoreGods Window always inspires. The viewing platforms & access facilities are good. However 2 issues marred this visit:1The deplorable behaviour adopted by members of the public of tying Covid masks onto the safety railings on 2 of the viewing platforms. Theyre left there by site officials. Should be prohibited. Its disgusting & unsightly.2No facility on sight to purchase refreshments. The caravans outside the facility overcharge visitors for refreshments. R20 for water costing R5. Thats blatant abuse of visitors local & International.
MoreBeautiful views over the valley. The 😷 being attached to the fence along with the lovers locks, needs to be removed as a bit disrespectful and makes it look untidy.
MoreNo ones fault but the weather.Overcast.No views at all.Lovely gentle walk up.Toilets were in good condition. Out dated but functional. Lovely team members too. Will have to go back.Hopefully the window is cleaned and we can see something then 😉
More♥️♥️ beautiful experience lovely walk very ideal for hiking lovers. My recommendations is have taps or water stations as we walk up to rain forest because wow its a long walk uphill
MoreUnfortunately my good camera pixel phone didnt have battery but keh this pics will do for now, all I can say this place its for people who love nature. It indeed Gods window as you can see the beauty Lord has created, although I feel theres more they can do with the place
MoreFantastic views, very popular. Not much to do but stop at various spots to observe the same view. During peak time, its to busy to actually take it all in.
MoreGood walk if you go through the forest to the top. The views are stunning and will help you to appreciate His handiwork. The facilities were clean albeit needing a little updating. Viewing areas could do with some maintenance.
MoreI think this is low-key hiking to see the beauty that God created. It was amazing seeing all those views and also stretching. The following day I was so tired but I enjoyed every bit of it
MoreAbsolutely breathtakingly beautiful view on a clear day. Lots of steps to climb to the top , but well worth the effort. Loved it.💖
MoreOften times when you need a closer conversation with your Creator you need to make the effort to get closer to Him. An amazing site to visit for a proper scenery of Gods view outside his window.
MoreSuch a magic spot. Even when misty the experience is great. It does get busy so go as early as possible...but the view aside the forest is incredible. Just wish people would stop Fing littering in such a majestic location.
MoreThe best view comes from the hardest climb. And boy the climb to the top was so tiring! There was a point I wasnt sure if I was ever going to get to the top😂 I feel like physically you need to be in your best shape at the steps to get to the top made the experience less enjoyable. Time and again I had to sit down and catch my breath before trying to get to the top. The views on the top was nice though.
MoreA very nice drive, steadily climbing until you reach the (paidparking.Plenty of places to view the incredible valley. Being so wide / vast, the view is almost underwhelming - but there s not too many places in the world where you can look down this far without any obstruction.Worth the visit at least once!
