Thick greasy delicious pizza with fast delivery, a good bar if you choose to eat in, and solid selection of alternative options if youre not in a pizza mood.Yeah I have friends who arent the biggest fans but theyve been consistently the most reliable pizza Ive had since moving back to Madison several years ago. Could I get more impressive pizza somewhere else? Sure but this isnt fancy its comfort and that is why we go back.

Dont bother , 45 minutes late, left the pizza on the front steps of our apt, never called or text per instructions... had to call 3 times before anyone told us it was deliever, then they lied and said they had texted, worst i was a regular customer.

I ordered 2 fish fillets and they were horrible. The food from here is usually delicious...

Pizza was fine, not the best. I got two veggie pizzas and both werent very saucy (unless thats how theyre supposed to be). The flavors were average. It didnt have much flavor but there was some. Definitely wasnt worth the price. Ale Haus frozen pizzas are way better.

Cracker thin Pizza crust was great. Service was also perfect. Thanks for a great dinner

A hallmark of consistently well-made pizzas for decades on the Madison East Side, Glass Nickel rarely lets down. They have a vast menu of tasty pasta, sandwiches, and fried goods as well, at a price that wont break the bank.

Such a great little place, great pizza and salad menu. We had the pepperoni special with a Greek salad. Attentive staff prompt service. A great local spot!! We will be back!

Vegan pizza is always good, cant even tell its vegan!!

Visiting from Wausau after a few years we were hoping to hit Roman Candle but found out it closed...stopped by at a weird time for late lunch and a long drive home with screaming kids.The place was busy but my cashier ( missed his name...darnwas the genuinely nicest most patient guy. Helped me with my goofy order for my picky toddler and rest of family and had the food out in 15 minutes ready to roll with plates and extras etc. I never ever write reviews but it was memorable service after a sorta crazy weekend, hit the spot for the 2hr ride home. Ok Im a GNP junkie. Between 2011 and 2016 I ordered from the west side and Fitchburg locations, over 1000 orders easy. Now Im downtown and order from the east location, Ive scaled down a bit but my account says 140 orders in the last 18 months, so I certainly must be one of their best customers. I moved to FL between 16-19 and used to fly back to see friends, Id drive there straight from the airport lol. For me, this is the perfect "Wisconsin" pizza. Their cheese mix is fantastic, i absolutely love their marinara sauce, and they have unique Pizza of the Months and even make cool posters for them. As a rock concert poster collector I find this really cool. Now, the east side location is back open for dine-in, so I plan on taking advantage of that more. I used to love their cracker crust, but something about it has changed (From what I understand this is the only crust not made in houseso now Ive switched to their thin. Their pastas are great, love their lasagna, cheese sticks, toasted rav (T Ravs). Its rare I get a bad pizza from this place.Keep up the good work GNP! My only advice would be Id like to see you showcase more local ingredients especially during summer. Ians does a great job of that, but their pizza crust and sauce is inferior to yours. And, start offering Flatiron crushed peppers, they are fantastic and will match your current supplier price!

Our first time dining with Glass Nickel and now we wish we lived closer so we could make it a regular stop. We ordered the deluxe along with the fried mac-n-cheese bites and it was all delicious. The Founders beer and on-tap root beer were great too. Our server, Angie, was very friendly, helpful and seemed to really enjoy her job. We’ll be back again!

Service was a little slow, but it was very busy! Server was great - good balance of attentive but not hovering. Pizza was good, but the highlight for me was the Nickel Nuggets. Little pieces of pizza dough fried with parm on top. So, so good!

I was working in the area and stopped here for lunch and the food was quite good. I talked a bit with the bartender Tina who I absolutely loved. I would go back again just to talk to her.

Delicious pizzas, fun choices. Even gluten free vegan pizza. I had the peanut thai vegan pizza, gf. Yum! Busy place though, be okay with it taking a bit.

This is one of the best places to get pizza in Madison! Its one of the things I miss the most about living here.

Found my lasagne was cold in the middle but staff was concerned from the get go. They took my plate & reheateted it to perfection.

I love Glass Nickel pizza! Best crust, perfect sauce, and they give you a pepper or two with each pizza. I was so excited when I moved to an area where they deliver. So imagine my utter disappointment when I called to inquire the ETA of my order (after waiting 15 minutes past the delivery timeand a young woman gave me an obvious annoyed and unclear answer of, “It’ll be there about 15 minutes after it leaves here.” But she wouldn’t tell me when OR IF it had left yet. I understand working in customer service, I’m understanding of difficult and overwhelming shifts and I even shared that with her. Still I received rudeness and no clear answer of when my pizza would arrive. This happened TWICE!!! All in all, I can’t spend my money at this location any longer. When ones pay depends greatly on tips, you’d think they’d be a bit kinder to they’re customers.

I treated myself to Glass Nickel pizza while on vacation. Im sorry but I was very disappointed in the pizza. It seems there was no sauce on base and toppings fell off. So dry and no flavor. No treat here.

They went above and beyond today. I had ordered ice cream with our dinner as my mothers day treat and they accidentally forgot it. The driver went back, got my ice cream and brought it back to me. His mother would be proud of her son. Thank you as always.

We order from GN an embarrassing amount! Long time eater first time reviewer. Last night I noticed a new item on the menu - crab rangoon?!?! They have no right to be as delicious as they are! I appreciate the vegan options, the vegan cheese is excellent - Im not vegan, but try to avoid dairy when Im not stuffing my face with deep fried cream cheese. Excellent salads too. Some of our favorites: mac and cheese pizza, nickel nuggets, spinach cheese bread, FRIES (the fries are so good!), fried ravioli, thai pie, acropolis salad, chef salad. The delivery folks are always real nice and have never judged us for how often we order, at least not to our faces.

Super fast delivery! Delivery driver was very friendly and I gave him an extra tip. I am excited for ordering from this place again it may become my Sunday routine. The owner was also very friendly when I stopped in a week prior I look forward to seeing them again.

Ive been ordering from Glass Nickel since the day they were born and Ive been ordering from the east side on the regular for the last 15 years. They have a great selection of food, unique recipes, generous portions... I could go on and on... But I really have to give compliments on their customer service.I made a delivery order on a Friday night and was given an hour and a half delivery time. Unfortunately I ate something earlier in the day that made me REALLY sick 45 minutes after ordering said pizza. By that time I thought it probably wasnt even made and I could cancel my order without inconveniencing them- so I did. Five minutes later/50 minutes after I ordered/40 minutes early, while I was puking, the driver rang my doorbell. I couldnt come to the door. I felt horrible.After all of that bad on my part, I was never charged for my order. And when I ordered the following week, I had the same delivery driver who played it off without any gripes- like no sweat! Glass Nickel is operated by some really good people and I highly encourage you to give this place your business. Your taste buds, tummy, and heart will thank you.

I usually have a good experience with the staff here, and the food never seems to disappoint. As someone who vehemently hates pizza, glass nickel is one of three establishments that i will eat pizza from in the u.s. Excellent quality for the price. Highly, HIGHLY recommend the sacre bleu, especially as someone who could never have imagined liking bleu cheese. It pairs so well with the salami and walnuts.

Decided to splurge and get one pizza for me and one for my boyfriend. He always gets the Boar’s Head pepperoni with green olives and he loves it. I decided to go crazy and get my veggie pizza with cilantro and banana peppers and lemme tell ya, it was AWESOME. Glass nickel always delivers quality and I’m happy to have so many veggie options to choose from here. Will definitely be ordering from again.

Havent had this pizza for a while so we ordered as a special treat. The service was quick and efficient especially for a Saturday night and the staff were polite when we picked it up.I have to say, though, that the pizzas were only okay. We got the fetalicious and a pepperoni. I thought the flavors were a little disappointing. We couldnt really taste the feta cheese at all and the pepperoni pizza as a whole seemed dry. Neither were very cheesy.Four stars is because the service was great but If I could three star the pizzas thats what theyd get.

We pass through Madison twice per year, and always try to get GN pizza for dinner. Its sooo good. Just had the Boris Karloff for the first time and wasnt disappointed.

I ordered their supreme pizza and their spicy chicken blue cheese pizza. The supreme pizza was amazing and I would definitely recommend it. The spicy chicken blue cheese pizza seemed like it had potential to be good but it had and inedible amount of salt on it. Every bite just tasted like bitter salt. The whole $23 pizza went to waste and that was the other downside is this place is a lil pricy.

My husband and I live in Colorado and weve been planning our trip here because he grew up here in Madison. Hes been talking about this pizza for months and everything he talked about was so true. This pizza and cheese curds were amazing.

Before we moved from Madison Glass Nickel was our favorite pizza. So its a must have when we come back to town. Our pizzas were as good as ever. Just wish the dining room was open as they always had some interesting beers on tap.

My sister ordered pizza for a family reunion. This place used to be good but lately the quality of the pizzas its going downhill. As you can see in the pizzas their quality is bad since the pizzas arrived soak in grease. You can see how the box is full of grease turning the pizza in a soggy/ washy mess and unpleasant to eat. Dinner was absolutely disgusting. Stay away from this place.

Their carry out service was fast and every item was packaged with care and consideration. The salad was out of this world and went above all expectations, the pizza and jalapeño poppers were exceptional, and the cannoli cake is a MUST! Our first time ordering from them and they have sealed my business for good! 6/5 stars!!

My girlfriend ordered glass nickel on the Eastside for me on Friday. The medium pepperoni pizza was hot and freshly cooked when I got their to pay for the takeout. When I got back to her place and opened the box the cheese was a golden brown and the crust was crispy. It wasnt too oily and tasted so good! Anyone and everyone who wants pizza that is made right should order from Glass Nickel on the east side of Madison. Love pizza from Glass nickel and went back their again on Saturday to order another one!

Easy ordering online and pretty fast delivery; everything was hot and fresh too. Lots of different and interesting specialty pizzas. I like that you can do 1/2 and 1/2 choices and also choose different crusts like regular, thin, cracker and even gluten free. They have vegan options too. Then peanut wings were flavorful but teeney-tiny. It was nice that they put the wing sauce on the side so they didnt get too soggy. Pizza was really good, pitmaster, Boris Karloff, and Mac daddy is what we had. Would definitely order again.

Great Pizza, Salads, Sandwiches and service.We have been to all the local Glass Nickel locations around Madison, but this one is by far our favorite!If you like salads, they are huge here. Delicious too! Pizza is always fresh and never over cooked (like the Sun Prairie location does regularly). Sorry SP, but we’ve had more than 10 orders burned even when (lite bakewas selected. I’d call that an ongoing problem.Thankfully the Madison Atwood location has the right stuff all the time. I now just pick up from the Atwood location on my way home instead.Thanks for being a great choice for more than just Pizza!Highly recommend!

My experience was very average. I don’t think I would recommend this over any chain pizza store. The ordering online was very easy, and the delivery was quite efficient. That was the best part. The pizza arrived, and it was not hot like you get from other places. I also ordered chicken wings. Those were also not very hot. The pizza taste was very blah. I ordered a boutique-type pizza, and it was not any better than an average pizza from Pizza Hut, etc. in fact, I wish I would’ve ordered pizza from Pizza Hut. The wings were well below average. They were small and did not have much flavor. I would not recommend those at all. I threw some away. If my entire order worked $12, I would be more inclined to recommend this place as an average pizza joint. Since my order was close to $30, I was pretty disappointed in the value.

My first visit. A bit over done the way I like it, but I had no time to complain or wait for another. The outer edge had very little toppings. IMHO the taste was middle of the road.

We have been here numerous times. Though their pizza is quite good, we have settled in on the meatball sandwich (the bomberand lasagna. The small bar is quite active too.

Ordered a timed delivery, and they arrived on time with hot food! Even though it was a friday night (almost 11pm).I always love their food. Seems to be fresh and well made. It doesnt seem like a lot of marinara with it, but somehow it is enough.Have not been to the actual location, just have had delivery from them often.

This is one place where you are bound to love the pizza. Tastes good and the ambience by the staff here is good too. They were considerate and hear you out for your choices. Finding it isnt a problem at all. They have decent parking which makes it more accessible. Id love to keep visiting this restaurant. The sides were good too.

Lots of bugs flying around, flies maybe. Probably they need to clean. The table top was very gummy. Very old and gummy. Gave me the creeps. Probably needs renewing. The pizza was ok.

Go for the Nickel Nuggets! So delish! This was a large Cobb salad (with avocadoand it was very good. Thy just give packs of croutons and dressings on side but good salad none-the-less. Pizza here is always a hit as well!

Visiting Madison and staying in a hotel, we decided we wanted to try some local pizza (something other than the chains we have in TN). Ordered the cheese bread and bacon cheeseburger pizza. The crust was delicious and the picture shows that there is very little grease. Also ordered ice cream. Was very surprised to receive pints for the great prices (paid same price for 2 scoops somewhere else). And I really appreciated the ice creams were from local businesses. My only complaint was delivery time. I ordered at 5:45, received an email saying it was out for delivery at 6:15, but didn’t receive it until almost 7 pm. The driver was friendly but he said it was a bit of a drive (google says they are 11 mins away). The pizza was not cold, but it wasn’t hot. Thankfully the ice cream didn’t melt too much. Overall, will order again but probably just go to their location.

Great food and good service. The atmosphere for dinning in is relaxing, which seems to be hard to find in Pizza places anymore. Good micro brew selection on tap to.
