Zoo with an African safari-style section for private cars or buses & smaller walk-round section.
Amazing place for a family! Easy to go around, possible to walk around and see animals as well as driving like in a safari, amazing playground for kids of every age and wonderful dinosaur park with real size dinosaurs that the kids can go very close to and many wonderful activities
My daughter loves this place. It can be a bit pricy for one visit, but the annual pass pays for itself quite quickly. There is everything from a petting zoo to dinosaurs to a safari to playgrounds.
Good self-drive safari tours. Animals has lots of space. Lots of animals close to all viewing area.Food shops are “basic” cafeteria style
I loved it, the care for the animals, how clean it was, that you could drive in the zoo, and just everything :D and it didnt cost that much, a normal family with kids can afford this :D
Amazing experience perfect for the whole family highly recommend you can easily enjoy the whole day here
Wonderful zoo to visit with family. Takes about 4-5 hours to see everything.
Looks like the animals here live quite comfortably. My only concern is the red panda which lives in a smaller enclosure, and seemed to be walking in a loop which is a clear stress signal. Got to see lions, giraffes, zebras, bears, monkeys and a bunch of other animals. Would recommend!
It was such a wonderful trip there! We visited it on our last day, totally worth the effort. Wonderful park, lovely organized. Was our frist experience to drive through a Safari, with so many animals from different lands so close by. A total joy for all. The restaurant at P2 actually served the best food that we had for the whole trip! And the gift shop, oh lala, none of us could ignore, don’t remember how much I spent in the end. 😝
What an amazing place for families. Plenty of space for picnics, playing for kids, relaxing for parents, cafeterias and ice-cream everywhere. And really nice drive through safaris. The annual pass is best value. We live 20minutes from here so we are there whenever we are free. The kids love the place. Safe and Clean.
Fantastic place for families with children. The animals seems to like it, too!
Fantastic Zoo with car safari option.Park is very well organized. There is balance between walk, drive and time for relax. I can recommend Baobab restaurant with very tasety food. For sure you need to visit bears, pinguins, monkeys and lions. Of course other animals are also interesting
Lovely place to spend some hours walking with family or friends through nature and admire the animal variety. We loved it. It’s amazing that you can even bring food from home, there’s a lot of outdoor spots where you can have a picnic or grill. Toilets are also spread around the park. Will definitely return.
Nice place. I suggest use a car or bus + walk also.
Safari one trip we enjoyed here.Lion Safari was disappointing as dense trees didnt let you see anything in that enclosure. A day trip is more than enough to visit this zoo.
Fantastic Zoo. So close to the lion cubbs. All animals looks to be happy.
A great zoo with a lot to see and driving in your own car it was a really great experience. The animals seemed to have good sized enclosures. The dinosaur park was a great addition to this experience.
Man can rides between wild animals and its so fantastic, specially lions
Amazing place with really maintained premises. Staff is really helpful and accommodating. Option to drive around in safari in your own car increases the fun and comfort factor to a new level for kids. Many decent food and drinks options are available inside.Dinosaur park and lion safari are definitely the highlight of the safari. Definitely worth a visit if around in that part of Denmark.
Highly recommend this, especially for people with children. The mix of ‘car safari’ and regular zoo visit (with big enclosures for all animals was refreshing. The only ‘negatives’ about our visit was sleeping otters (so we didn’t get to see them liveand the red panda being too far up the tree for a clear view. But within context it makes sense in regard to how they treat the animals, and if that’s the worst I could have to say about it.. it has to be pretty good!
It’s nice Zoo. Can drive through. Fun for the Kids, and lots to see for the adults.Tasty food at P2
Exciting zoo where you get realy close to the animals. The safari tour with car was amazing. The playgrounds for kids where the best over seen in any amusement park ever.
Fun and varied experience. Great for families. Reasonable food and snack prices.Bring a stroller if you are visiting with younger children. Plenty of walking.
Good variety of animals, nice experience for all ages. Would recommend bringing in your own car for the best experience.
A was really impressed by our visit to Givskud Zoo and lion park, what a great place for a day of fun with the family. Plenty of space for both animals and visitors. Really how a zoo should be. Based on the cars in the parking lot there were many visitors in the park, but it never felt like that, which is a testament to its size. If the kids gets tired of looking at animals there are some amazing playgrounds both for small and bigger kids. All in all a fantastic visit and what really stood out was how clean and well organized everything was.
Awesome Zoo/Safari park with lots of interesting animals. I like the setup where you can drive between the three parking lots at walk from there. Especially the African enclosure was well made. The animals had lots of room and the viewing platforms and hut were well placed. Our visit was a bit rainy, but that only made the wilderbeast jump around, which was a sight to see. Awesome park. Do not miss a chance to go there.
Exceeded expectations. Really fun to get close up to the animals when driving through the zoo!
Never miss it. Amazing place to be in close proximity of animals. Children had life time experience seeing animals outside television.
A great concept of a drive-in zooTheir GPS based audio guide is amazing. It guides you based on every area you enter and gives you a detailed information about the animals in that areaThere are some areas where you can park your car and explore the animals in their habitatsVery organised Zoo. Kids love it
I liked the place. Parking is free and close to the entrance (we took the car ride, so your car is in the park itself)The park is amazing, I have never seen a lion 2 meters away from the car window. They have stuff around to watch the visitors and the animals.I can not get used to the feeling that lions and zebras and other exotic animals should be in a country which is not their own ( but will not start a discussion about it). But given this idea, the place is pretty big in comparison to other. The playgrounds on the location are super cool as well, staff is friendly.
Our current favourite of the available zoo/nature attractions in Denmark. Lots of space also for the animals and most employees actually seem to care for what they do, not just the caretakers but also the ones serving food, selling souvenirs etc.
Seriously good concept, lovely staff, awesome animals! We were a group of 4 (mum, dad & 2 boysand we all loved it. The playgrounds were also welcome and really well equipped
Really nice zoo with a huge variety of species. You can also take a “safari” in your car.
It is a nice getaway for families and it definitely lives up to the expectations of the kids. The personal is polite and very smiley which gives a good overall impression. Of course its a bit far from the beaten track but this can also be a plus. Overall I liked it and would come back with my kid.
The safari tour is a great idea, even though we couldnt meet the lions up-close as they were too lazy to roam around the tourists. The rest of the zoo looks good too!
Nice place to visit if the weather is good. Well organised, but food is quite expensive. bring your own food, everybody does, lots of places you can stay and eat it at a table.
Very nice park! I like the part that you take you car into the park and then alternate safari with stops for a closer look at the animals at one of the 3 parkings. Big playgrounds and a dinosaur Park and the a lot of animals of course.
Cool safari experience in Jylland. Has a bit of everything and a chance to have a close communication with the animals.
Nice zoo. It’s worth to do a journey. You can drive through the zoo by car. There are three stops on the safari, where you can get out of the car and watch more animals. Best at visit 2021 were the gorilla baby’s. They are sooo cute. Directly followed of the brillbears. The bears are really impressing and have the biggest space I had ever seen in zoos. They playground at the end is also great. The kids loved to play there after visiting the dinosaurs. We hat a really good day there. My personal tip: Buy the cd for the safari. It will give you a lot fun facts about the animals, you are watching. For that, it’s not too expensive.
This is such an amazing Zoo and so big! Be prepared to walk a lot. Animals have huge enclosures and they are well taken care of. Enclosures are not crowded with animals. What I love is the "drive through" which I did not take. An employee advised against it in the peak season, but over all I saw people enjoying it. People have their own paths and are not in the cars way (and vice versa). It is a genius design. As always thank you for the experience. Truly yours Instagram @juls.jay
Exceptional zoo where you can drive your own car in a safary-like style through areas with animals like zebras, giraffes, rhinos, ostrich and many others. You can also park and exlore many areas by foot. Nice dinosaur and ice age open air exhibitions. Kids will enjoy every moment at this zoo park.
Amazing! We had a wonderful time!Want to see lions from the car ?!Ask for the feeding time otherwise they will not be in in the open for tourists
Like any other Zoo even here you can find wide selection of wild life, with the privilege of going safari style. You can come into this area with your own car, or with the local bus with the guide inside telling you all the stories about the animals.Gorillas, rhinos, lions, elephants, Himalayan Bears or parrots and otters they are all here, and waiting for you to discover they way of life, and how can you help them by altering your everyday life. Small building is dedicated to life long ago on our earth, and how melting of ice affected and will affect our world.Giftshop and restaurant for anyone, and umbrellas at almost ever checkpoint to keep you dry, while enjoying the wonders of mother nature.Almost forgot to mention the part dedicated to the most, so far discovered, early days of life on the Earth, the life of Dinosaurs. With replicas of giants that once ruled the Earth you no longer feel like a dominant species.
Amazing place to spend the whole day with your family! You going to enjoy every thing you see: nature, animals, exciting locations. Very cool location is Jurassic Park (dont feed the dinosaurs :pAlso, grab some food and drinks, you will find a lot of wonderful places to have a picnic here. Or visit cafe. Anyway, you will smell the BBQ and hotdogs, so you going to be hungry))The most important thing: you can walk around the zoo and you can drive by car as well. Take both, you will see different animals and different locations then.
Very cool concept with your own car on safari. Loved driving around between lions, giraffes and bison. The rest is also very nice. Lemurs and monkeys running around you was pretty cool too.
Clean and well organized. The animals has plenty of space and seem to have a healthy life. It was fun to bring the car in and get close encounter with all the large animals. The kids enjoyed the petting zoo.
Very unique experience for animal lovers - an amazing way of spending half day in Denmark. In early summer, most animals had babies in the enclosures which was absolutely adorable.
This is a very nice zoo with several playgrounds for children. There are 3 different parks: the zoo itself, a safari park, a dinosaurus park. The zoo and safari park were the best. We drove our car, but it is possible to take bus, too. I recommend to spend the whole day here. There were a lot to see and good playgrounds for children. We saw lions very close to our car and could stop and look at other animals in the safari park. We walked around (~ 6km according to the plan/mapand could stop at 3 parking places to walk, play and eat. Children at age 4 and 5 y.o. thought that everything was interesting and they were not tired of walking around, if they would be, it was possible to borrow a small wagon to have them in for free.
Great day out! Spacious enclosures with excellent opportunities to observe all the animals. Park your car, walk around a bit and then drive the next leg of the safari tour.Tip: get coffee at the Boabab (P2), they have a proper espresso machine. The other locations have coffee flavored water.
Simply fantastic! Kids love it. Lots of lovely playgrounds where children can play. Safari by your car or by Zoo bus. Saw lots of animals - enjoyed the dinosaur park a lot! Had a lovely day - would definitely want to visit again !
Wonderful Animalpark that I visited for the first time. A Lot to see and enjoy. The only place in Denmark where you can see Gorillas. Fantastic area with life-size dinosaurs. Fantastic zoo-shop. Great food in Zoo-Oasen.
