Giroud in Sancti Spiritus

Servicio un tanto desganado y una de cal y una de arena en la comida (la hamburguesa, muy bien; la pizza, muy floja -el queso podría incluso llegar a estar un tanto pasado-). Había música en directo.

Cenamos en el restaurante. Una muy buena recomendación, la comida estaba muy rica y, lo que más nos gustó fue la música en directo, eran dos chicos que tocaban increíblemente bien

Este lugar es maravilloso. Los cócteles están muy buenos y siempre hay música en directo espectacular. Hemos estado dos días, el primero hubo una banda de jazz y el segundo unos músicos de tradicional cubana, una delicia. Muy recomendable la piña colada.

Grundsätzlich ansprechende Lokalität, mit gutem Ambiente danke Live-Musik. Leider war der Service sehr ernüchternd :( Die Bedingung hat uns leider eiskalt ignoriert und als wir dann endlich was bestellt haben und anschließend ein zweites Bier bestellen wollten, haben die gemein, dass die Bar geschlossen sei, obwohl der Barkeeper in den 10 Minuten bis wir das Etablissement verlassen haben, immer weiter munter Cocktails gemacht hat und die andere Gäste wurden trotzdem weiter bedient. Scheinbar hat das Personal keine Lust auf Gringos...Und auf der Rechnung wurden einfach 4 Bier berechnet, statt den 2 bestellten und konsumierten Biers.Anschließend kann man nur sagen schade......

Zwei Sterne für die gute Live-Musik. Der Service sehr unaufmerksam. Schade, im Grunde eine Bar mit Potential.

Very kind and attentive service. Excellent cocktails at very fair prices. Food was more expensive so we unfortunately cannot rate it. The atmosphere and selection of Cuban rums is recommendable. We received free honey for our cigars and annoying street hustlers were sent away on our behalf. We went there multiple times.

I can vouch for the napolitana pizza and the pineapple juice drink with ginger. Both are excellent. I came back here 3 times for the same items! Very handy option for a vegetarian visiting Cuba on a budget.

Restaurant que nous avons choisi car présent dans le Routard , cocktail daiquiri sans rhum , plat sec , très déçu .Je recommande pas .

A fuir !! Le serveur change les prix au moment de l’addition (les augmente devant nous au stylo sur la carte). Passer votre chemin !

Die Cocktails sind super lecker und auch günstig. Der Service ist nett und auch das Ambiente ist sehr schön.P.S. Der Brownie mit Eis war unser Highlight hier 😍

Good food, great variety of cocktails, internet and great interior. Reasonably priced. We stayed in Trinidad for 2 days and went to this place 3 times. Recommend!

Good food and drinks, nice people to deal with. Good WiFi if youre there when the place is really packed. I would definitely go there again, and recommend it.

We had a decent eggplant dish, but in the bill we found many articles that we hadnt ordered at all. We complained and the staff tried to argue. A rip-off place, definitely avoid it!

Every restaurant that I have reviewed in Cuba is solely based on CUBA. The overall taste and expectation is only fair to be compared with/within Cuba.Having said that this restaurant gets a 4/5. Good service (friendly staffand good selection of food. We ordered pizzas and they were good

Magnifique restaurant avec une ambiance telle que lon peut lespérer à Cuba. La carte est variée et plaira à tous les styles. Je nai jamais mangé une assiette de crevettes aussi bien garnie et délicieuse. Localisation très centrale dans le centre piétonnier de Trinidad. Nous y sommes retournés tellement cétait bon et accueillant. Seul petit bémol, le prix légèrement plus élevé par rapport aux autres établissements en général à Cuba. Mais le service et la qualités sont là.

Attratti dall’affollamento, che normalmente significa che si tratta di un ristorante di buona qualità, e attratti soprattutto dal menù che offriva anche pasta e pizza che qualcuno di noi dopo una lunga astinenza aveva voglia di mangiare, ci siamo fermati qui per cena. Infatti in generale non siamo rimasti delusi, i piatti di pasta abbondanti e di buona qualità, la pizza un po’ mediocre, ma accettabile, la mia portata di pesce un po’ scarsa come quantità, ma molto gustosa. Pertanto scelta centrata.

We had dinner there 2 times so for Cuban standards we found it pretty ok. Pizza was tasty, pasta too. Dishes are big and the place is always full.

Is a good restaurant in Trinidad, the quality ofthe food is good and the portions are big, futhermore, the prices are cheap and the service is kind and polite. Also is clean! very important in Cuba.

Calidad precio es bueno, un lugar acogedor y fresquito para comer o tomar una copa en los calurosos días de Agosto de Trinidad. Trato muy agradable.

Decent restaurant on the steps up to Plaza Mayor. A variety of foods are served here including meat and rice, pastas, pizzas and salads.The decor is rustic with an upcycled hipster feel to it (look out for the swinging table hanging from the ceiling!). There was some excellent live music by the spiral staircase when we were there at lunchtime.Staff are attentive but like most Cuban places, your food order will take time to arrive. Otherwise, cant fault it as the food is tasty. My friends had pizza and said it was the best theyd had in Cuba.Overall, recommended.

Bad place bad food steals your money the sevice is mediocre i would not recommend it to anybody so STAY AWAY from that place there are better and serious restaurants in town

The place is nice and food is ok, however they charged us for food that we never ordered and unfortunately we only realised once we were out and paid already. Be very careful and read your bill before paying!

its become a bit crowded, but its always a stop I make in Trinidad when Im tired of ropa vieja. Decent pasta, decent pizza, very decent meals for a good price. its easy to get in at lunchtime. Ive eaten here about 4 or 5 times, its consistent.

Had a guacamole and vegetable salad here. The guacamole was better than in the west and the salad was fresh and presented extremely well. Service was top notch as well.

If youre tired to eat beans and rice, this place offers good pizzas and burgers for Cuba! Be prepared to wait, as the restaurant is super popular

We visited Giroud the evening of 8 January 2017. We had been staying in Trinidad a couple of days and this was our last night. Im not sure if you can book, but we stumbled upon this atmospheric tapas style restaurant and bar as we looked for something beyond the ubiquitous, pork, lamb, fish, and beans that wed been eating.Giroud was a godsend. The decor was eclectic and the blackboard menu listed many interesting plates. We waited 30 minutes for a table and as a party of 7 we had to split up. Tables and chairs are basic with packing crates generally used a chairs.Service was good for Cuba, still slow, but attentive. No English was spoken but a lot of poor Spanish on our part, and pointing. Got us there.The food was fresh, tasty, varied and filling, with a good drinks list to wash it down.If Im ever back in Trinidad, I will visit again.

Last evening in Trinidad, after 2 days of street food, we decided to splurge in a nice place we saw the day before, restaurant Giroud, that had on display a daily menu written manually on black board.They had Ricard on the drink list, so my husband "Explorian" started with this one, he said: the strongest "Jaune" he ever had :-)Then we went for a "Daube Provencale" with a glass of red wine and lobster, was so good we needed a dessert, so here we are 2 rice puddings with original perfume mint + cinamon [canelle]! The pictures speak better then I can...

No way is it ok to price as much as they do for as little food. Besides, theres practically no service or rather: you see a lot of them walking around doing - no idea what - whatever it is, its NOT serving you!

Best drinks in town, ask for Jose. Dont ever try the stuff at Plaza Major, go here instead!

Only go to Giroud if 1. you have lots of time and patience, 2. if you are not attached to the outcome of your order. I was drawn to Giroud because they had their menu and prices clearly described on a chalk board. First time around I ordered "Caesar Salad". 45 minutes later they presented me with a plate of chopped greens, tomatoes, slice of cheese and crumbled meat. I said to the waitress that a mistake must have happened. I asked where the romaine, the dressing, croutons and parmesan were. "We call this Caesar here" she said, and walked away. The second time around I thought I was ordering something simple and defined again: Onion Pizza. Little did I know the onions will be raw (not caramelized).

Loved the pizza - finally a place with decent cheese in Cuba 😉

Restaurant have a cool furnishing. Food is good. Price is okay and the staff is very friendly.
