Harika ve gidilmesi gereken bir yer. Ortacağdan kalan rahibe manastırı. Özellikle bazı duvar resimleri çok güzel korunmuş, gidilip görülmesi gereken yerlerin başında geliyor.

The most surprising and my favourite place in Trabzon. The structure of the monastery is still visible, many buildings preserved. The main building is used for exhibitions.

Beautiful views of Trabzon. Informative video in the main hall, but no map or pamphlet as a guide for the various rooms and buildings. Theres been no attempt to restore the frescos. Theyre in bad shape and the images are unrecognizable.

Oldukça güzel bir yapı. Trabzonu anımsatan, girintili çıkıntılı ve engebeli bir yapısı var. Su taşıma ve elde etme sistemleri harika. Pek çok yerde duvar resimleri aşırı derecede zarar görmüş, anlaşılması oldukça zor. Tek problem manastır içinde yeterince anlatım yok. Pek çok yerde çeşitli bilgiler eksik. Daha çok bilgilendirici yazı eklenebilir. Bu haliyle de ziyaret edilmeye değer. Tavsiye ederim.

Ive been to Trabzon 5 Times but Its my first visit to this amazing place... its fantastic with a great spirit of history and the sea views ..You should visit Girls monastery

We went here rather than Sumela for a number of reasons. Obviously we can’t compare but we can say they have done an excellent restoration job on the monastery and the introduction video is very good. Views over Trabzon are excellent.

Buraları tam bilmediğim için arabamı Tanjant üzerinde park edip yukarı kadar çıktık. Bayır biraz zorladı. Kesinlikle gidilmesi gereken bir yer. İçerisi güzel restore edilmiştir. Müze kart geçmiyor. 2022 Temmuzda öğrenci 5,5tl yetişkin 12,5tl. Tüm Trabzon ayağınızın altında. İçerisi 20dk gezilebilir ve güzel fotoğraflar çekilebilir. İçeride manastırın geçmişini anlatan 3 dakikalık video izlenebilir.

A very beautiful place to go, also great spot to view Trabzon city landscape.

A rare Monastery in which you can see the history of the people in the past who lived in this Monastery.You walk through the Monastery. There are information bords in English and Turkish which gives you explanations about the area.At the top of the Monastery, you will get a clear view of the sea and city.

Great place to take pictures with a great view over Trabzon and Black Sea. Good to go here after Seyra Sefa

Trabzon BB tarafından işletilen tam biletin 12,5₺, öğrenci bilet fiyatının 5,5₺ olduğu mükemmel bir mekan, harika bir manzarası olan eşsiz tarihi ile kızlar manastırı görülmeye ve de gezilmeye değer 👍🏻 7 odalı kız yurdu, şapeli, idari ve sosyal yapısı ile ve hatta geçmişteki su sistemini bile görebileceğiniz ender yapılardan.. Tavsiyem o dur ki görmeniz ve anı yaşamanız.. Bu arada yerleşke içerisinde mevcut koşullara uygun wc ve görsel işitsel sunumlarda mevcuttur. İyi gezmeler

Manastırın diğer ismi “Panagia Theotokos” ise “Tanrının koruduğu yer” anlamına geliyor. Tıpkı Sümela gibi burası da kayalıkların içinde korunaklı bir alan. İstinat duvarı içerisine yerleştirilen manastır, Orta Çağ dini yapılarının tüm özelliklerini yansıtıyor. Manastırdaki iki büyük avlu, orta ölçekli kilise, şapel, bazilika, çan kulesi gibi yapılara burada eğitim gören kızlar için inşa edilen öğrenci odaları, kütüphane ve yemek odaları eşlik ediyor.

Öğrenci girişi 5.5 tl. İçeride sinevizyon gösterisi var. Şehir içi olduğu için bakımlı ama o bakım yapılana kadar bi şekilde 19.yyda yapılan kısımları bile patlatmayı başarmış canım güzel yurttaşlar

Das Kloster wurde bis 2021 restauriert und ist nun wieder für Besucher geöffnet. Es finden noch immer kleinere Arbeit statt. Der Eintritt scheint (nochkostenlos zu sein. Die Renovierungsarbeiten wurden gut umgesetzt und es sind einige Informationen vorhanden. Der Blick auf Trabzon ist wunderschön. Das einzige und große Problem ist die Infrastruktur. Es sind nur oberhalb, beim Tee-Garten, ein paar Parkplätze. Es wäre auch möglich aus der Innenstadt mit dem Dolmusch (Richtung Boztebein die Nähe zu kommen und den Rest zu Fuß gehen. Der Weg zum Kloster sollte außerdem mehr ausgeschildert werden. Der Eingang liegt in einer kleinen Gasse.

If you are in to history so don’t miss this place as it’s in the heart of Trabzon city, this ancient place will take you back to history, the monastery is great with great old painting and it has a demonstration hall with screen and good setup and also it has a panoramic view for the city that’s will make your day

Yıllarca Trabzona geldim belki kapısını açık yakalarım diye hiç üşenmeden defalarca kapısına kadar gidip geri döndüğüm bu yer sonunda açılmış.Tabi bunu duyan ben koşa koşa gittim.Peki nelerle karşılaştım.Girişte turnikeler var fakat şuan ücret alınmaya başlanmamış(Eylül 2021)İnsanlar tarafından yapılmış tahribatlar net bir şekilde görülüyor.Etraftaki kişilerden burası harabe bir yerdi belediye burayı evsizlere açmıştı çanı çaldılar gibi sözleri duyunca tarihe olan saygımızı görmüş oldum.Bence bu kadar zor olmamalı tarih kokan heryer korunmalı😔Manastır hakim bir tepede konumu muhteşem insanı kendine hayran bırakıyor.İçeri girdikten sonra yukarı çıkarak Manastıra ve Trabzona kuş bakışı bakabilirsiniz.Sümela için uzun bir yol gidene kadar merkeze yakın bu manastırı mutlaka görün derim😊

Great monument! Part of it was renovated smartly.

Went there but it was closed only checked the entrance . Though enjoyed the walk in the narrow streets and between the houses

The carved temple of Panagia Theoskepastou, a foundation closely associated with the family of Alexius III the Great Komninos (1349-1390), bears the seal of its burial, as is the case with other important ecclesiastical institutions of Trebizond. The temple belongs to a larger monastery complex, located on the slopes of Mount Mithrion, halfway between the port and the acropolis of Trebizond. The walled space, apart from the central cave church, contains cells and smaller temples and houses burial grounds.The role of the Great Komnenoi family and its relationship with the monument was also depicted in a landmark depiction of a temple wall depicting Alexius III the Great Komnenos, his wife Theodora and his mother Irene. The latter was, in fact, represented as the main sponsor, as it held a temple-like image, one of the usual iconographic features of Byzantine landmarks.The most interesting of the tombs is surely of despot Andronikos, son-in-law of Alexius III the Great Komninos, not because of his formation but because of the circumstances of his death. As we are told by the sources of the time, Andronikos was killed very young by falling from a window of the palace in Trabzon and was buried in the narthex of Theoskepastos Monastery.

It’s under renovation may be until next summer. The maintenance guys were nice enough for us to check the place out. They are making a Reaturant and cafe and renovating the area. It’s going to look real nice next year when they open. The view is amazing!
